The Most Romantic Experiences in Switzerland

"Saunter Through the Great Swiss Outdoors The Bavona Valley, in the Swiss-Italian region, is a true exhibition of nature’s power. There are many walking paths through meadows, and trails alongside rivers are interwoven between fascinating rock formations. Make sure you see the 80-meter waterfall, which is located in the delightful Foroglio valley. In the Swiss-French valley of Solalex, paths wind their way up the mountains to breath-taking viewpoints at its peaks. The views are reminiscent of the North American Rockies and you can often see eagles circling. Trails leading through conifer woods are popular, especially under the stars in winter with snow shoes."
The Geneva Water Fountain
Fountain · Les Vollandes
"A Strong, Steady Stream of Water! We were only in Geneva for a day, but we were told to take a unique photo with this fountain by our friends and this is what we came up with! While Geneva was overwhelmingly expensive for 2 college students backpacking, it was worth the trip to see the lake. It was a sunny day with the perfect blue sky to white cloud ratio. We picnic'd on the rocks with wine, cheese, bread, and meat with a long lost friend. I would love to go back and do some real exploring one day. By Maggie Smith"
Rte des Bains 42
Lavey-les-Bains
"After a long day of skiing or climbing, the Swiss head to luxurious spas to unwind. Les Bains de Lavey offers the warmest thermal baths in Switzlerand alongside saunas, Turkish baths, a revolving whirlpool, and various massage treatments. Located in the valley of Lavey just north of Martigny, it encapsulates the feeling of solitude needed to fully relax."
Nix's

"Local Specialties with Romantic Lake View Restaurant Nix's is located directly on the lakefront in Lucerne in a historic building that dates back to the 16th century. Featuring Continental cuisine with an Austrian influence, Nix's prides itself on fresh, local ingredients and seasonal menu. For the fall, for example, menu items include pumpkin beer soup with dumplings, oven braised rabbit stew, deer schnitzel with saffron noodles, and an autumnal salad with roasted wild mushrooms. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace that abuts Lake Lucerne - a beautiful spot for a bottle of wine while watching the sun set."
Évian-les-Bains
Resorts · Évian-les-Bains
"Set Sail on a Romantic Cruise Across the Lake A boat trip across one of Switzerland’s many lakes perfectly embodies the relaxed, romantic feel of the country. The ‘Suisse’ steam boat, which crosses Lake Geneva, transports you back in time—glimmering wood-paneled decking and huge open driving pistons giving a sense of early 20th century decadence. Meanwhile on Lake Lucerne, 15 elegant steam motor boats cruise the water, taking passengers from one village to the next. The romantic scene is beautifully embodied by the clusters of swans bobbing by, waters so clear the submerged rocks are visible, and seemingly endless near-vertical cliffs on either side."
