"The Four Seasons has occupied the same pristine piece of real estate near the George R. Brown Convention Center since 1982. Several of the city’s top entertainment options, including Toyota Center (where the Houston Rockets and many musicians play) and Discovery Green (a 12-acre urban park), have sprung up around the iconic destination. It’s not uncommon to spot visiting VIPs including politicos and athletes in the 20-story hotel, which also accommodates extended stays with private residences. Known for top-notch service like twice-a-day housekeeping and nightly turndown, the Four Seasons wrapped up a complete renovation of the 4th-floor fitness center and spa facilities in 2016, and opened a new lounge, Bayou & Bottle (complimentary bourbon tastings occur every Saturday). The Spa has a private suite for couples and offers poolside “Spa Tapas,” like the 15-minute Coconut Scalp Soothie massage. Speaking of the pool, it’s 65 feet and shaded by palm trees."
