Italian Market Cooperativa Is Now Open in the Pearl District - Eater Portland
"A new Italian marketplace is open in the Pearl District, slinging Roman-style pizza, pasta, flowers, coffee, and local goods including produce, meat, and dairy. Cooperativa comes from chef Sarah Schafer and Anna Caporael, previously of the now-shuttered Irving Street Kitchen. Portland Monthly first broke the news that the 5,000 square-foot market opened last week with a variety of Italian staples: Schafer has her fresh and dried pasta available to go, though PoMo reports it will eventually be offered for in-house dining alongside the currently available pizza and panini. The square, Roman-style pan pizza is offered by the slice, half slice, and full pie for taking home or enjoying on the patio." - Alex Frane
