Offshore, the rooftop bar at Navy Pier, is open - Eater Chicago

"Navy Pier is one of Chicago’s most visited tourist attractions featuring views of Lake Michigan skyline and that giant Ferris wheel. Another attraction debuts Friday as the pier unveils a 36,000-square-foot roof deck bar on the third floor of its Festival Fall. Offshore is an enclosed all-season bar where customers can walk out for some fresh air for a new view of Chicago’s skyscrapers. The space should open this weekend at 1000 E. Grand Avenue, according to a spokesperson. Offshore has two pool tables, fire pits, and a 100-foot bar that fits 60 stools. The windows open wide to allow the lake breeze in during warm temperatures. There’s also a 20,000-square-foot space away from the glass enclosure with its own bar. It’s more of a bar with small plates, but there are a few hearty entrees. Take a tour through the space and check out some food and drink options below. Offshore opens on Friday. Offshore, on the third floor of Navy Pier’s Festival Hall, 1000 E. Grand Avenue, open 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Monday to Thursday; 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday; 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday; 11 a.m. to midnight on Sunday. All patrons must be 21 and over." - Ashok Selvam
