"This Colombian joint does borderline Seussian takes on burgers, hot dogs, and condiments. The headliner is the Gordo burger, which is about 75% pink sauce, pineapple jam, and crushed potato chips, like something a teenager left home alone might make. But the salchipapa hot dog, a chopped-up concoction of quail eggs, bacon, and more potato chips, is also pretty great. This comfort food spot works for family outings as well as it does for the drunken late-night crowd. Gordo is open until 5am on the weekends—long after other burger spots quit on you. So post up with a Postobón, grab more napkins than you think you’ll need (and even more than that), and create a personal splash zone if you’re there with friends." - Katie Walsh
