"As the cherry trees bloom, crowds gather in Fairmount Park for the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival. It’s a celebration of all things Japanese, from the traditional to pop culture. It brings together all kinds of people: families pushing strollers past stalls, pet owners walking their dressed-up dogs, and young people decked out in anime and video game cosplay. The week-long event features live music, martial arts demonstrations, Go matches, a pet cosplay contest, and tours of Shofuso Japanese House, a replica of a traditional Japanese home and garden.
