Wat Sri Suphan - Silver Temple

Charismatic and intricately put together piece of modern architecture- visited in the evening on a Sunday with very few people inside. The temple compound is peaceful with 50 Baht entrance fee for tourists. Women are not allowed to enter within the main Silver temple. The temple closes for visiting at 5:30pm after which there’s a light and sound show starting at 6:30pm. You can meet the monks here and learn more about Buddhism. Will recommend ( much better than highly over crowded temples in Bangkok)

Stunning temple with intricate silver carvings all over. Sadly, women aren’t allowed inside the main building, but the other ones in the complex are available. The entrance fee is 50 THB for foreigners. There are a lot of beautiful things to see on the premises, and there’s also Tok Sen massage place where I even saw the monks getting it. The price for massage was 100 THB for 10 minutes, 300 for half an hour, and 500 for an hour.

it was somewhat warm in the afternoon of December where i walked from one gate Wat Lok Molee to another gate to reached this silver temple. didn’t spend much time here, but the silver crafts work in the temple was amazing. stopped by the fruity stand on the way back into the old town was quite soothing.

A beautiful experience. The cost is 50 baht per person. Women cannot enter the wat, however I received a genuine blessing from a monk. Tourists, locals, and not too crowded. There are numerous metal shops around the area.

My Gf and I were here during the prayer time (6PM) and without planning we experienced one of the most sacrous moment of our trip. There were one head Monk and child monk, both of them were praying outside of the temple and later all the men went inside to end the prayer. The video shows the end of the prayer in this magic place. We were also given bracelets with a blessing of the monks. Highly recommended also outside of prayer time since the temple is amazing

This is an absolutely beautiful temple and very much worth the visit. Its architecture is unique, as the main hall (ubosot) is almost entirely covered in silver and aluminum, featuring incredibly detailed craftsmanship that shines in the sun. It's different from any other temple in the area. It is important to note that while women can enter and explore the entire surrounding complex, entry into the main silver hall is permitted only for men, due to old Lanna traditions. To visit, there is an entrance fee of 50 baht per person, which must be paid in cash.

It's 50 baht for tourists. I came near to closing time in the evening and it happens that there is a ceremony and performance going on where everyone receives a candle to light the temple. Only males are allowed to enter the main temple. Woman will receive a cloth to cover up the shoulders and anywhere below knee. Be respectful and not talk loudly here.

This is a nice temple because it is different than most. And you can walk easily from the old city. However it is small, which I guess is good, as it does not take long to visit. There are Monk Chats and a meditation center. You also have to buy a ticket to get in, which is very touristy. But worth the visit.
