AMAZING views people, accommodation.. Ferry from Tahiti to Morea. you can get a car on Tahiti and bring it on the ferry or rent on Morea Island. if you get a rental on the island, do some research prices can be half. Avis was very expensive. Hertz was half of Avis. incredibly friendly people. several grocery stores, even the smaller ones have some good quality food in them. there is a large grocery store very close to the ferry port.. bicycles and scooters are very popular to rent along with canoes. accommodation airbnbs are a mini.. some that are right on the ocean fairly inexpensive. it takes about an hour to drive all the way around the island.. Mike was so I took my son Charlie and we left Seattle. found some excellent airbnbs stayed on different parts of the island. one of the places was Mark's place. some very unique built accommodation on this property, outdoor showers that are just amazing and inviting.. found more airbnbs and stayed in one that was right on the ocean. cost was 120 a night and I was able to look across the bay to the Hilton huts that are on the river which were charging $1,000 to 1800 a night LOL. the place we stayed had a big deck, a canoe and a manta ray that would swim by every morning and night. lots of hiking with incredible views.

We were lucky enough to arrive here on the cruise ship Carnival Legend. This bay is beautiful and pictures can not do its beauty any justice. A must see from a cruise ship if you ever have the chance. We were told that Capt. Cook was in this bay and not the bay named after him.

Amazing views and wonderfully kind people, we would visit again without hesitation. It's truly a magical place with the perfect blend of French and Polenesian culture.

There are two bays on Moorea. Yes there is a cell service available. Yes, there is a ferry to Payette. This is the bay where cruise ships way anchor and then tender into port. There are some excursions available.

delightful! The Blue lady took us to various places on the island. Her price quote is for one way.

Beautiful bay on a jaw droppingly gorgeous island.

Beautiful scenery and picture book landscape. At 37 metres for diving, just sand where we dived - go to the drop-offs or reefs as Viz and marine life below par in the middle of the bay.

Opunohu Bay is one of the two main bay on the island of Moorea. It is a narrow, straight, 3-km long bay with a water depth of about 80 metres at the mouth. Offshore winds along the axis of the bay generates an outflow at the surface and an inflow below 20 metres depth. It is located not too far away from Papeete. This bay is extremely beautiful especially if you have the chance to see it’s breathtaking views from the sea. The day we were visiting was a bit overcast however in the afternoon started to clear. The scenery is breathtaking. This beautiful place was one of our highlights on our arrival in Mo’orea as it is one of the docking point for most of the cruise ships which are stopping here. Very untouched and photos are not able to describe the reality. The locals are very friendly and do speak English, however French is more widely spoken. You will see a shallow lagoon surrounded by stunning mountains where waterfalls flow down the cliffs. It's one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Definitely worth visiting!
