Colour cube is a hidden gem and one of my personal precious memories💗 I spontaneously won a round trip plane ticket to Toronto from Edmonton, right after a heartbreaking breakup which made me want to get away for a bit. I booked promptly at colour cube and arrived a couple weeks later at midnight in tears from everything happening in my life. I was so grateful to walk up to the welcoming front steps and beautiful bedroom upstairs that kept me safe, and privately roomed to go through the motions of my experience and to explore Toronto on a budget. The housekeepers were lovely and did a great job - the other hotel stayers were pleasant and it was right in front of the train stop! It was perfect and I hope to return in better circumstances 💗

Very clean!! Very convenient location for me while visiting my son. I found the beds a little too low to the floor for my liking as I'm tall and the mattress wasn't the best. Shared washroom wasn't an issue, as there was one on both floors. Bath towels were provided but they forgot to offer wash clothes. It would have been nice if the front porch had a couple of chairs so people could sit outside and relax. Will be rebooking in the fall or spring as long as my son hasn't moved from Gerard St

For the price, very nice place, very clean, well organized. I am taking off 1 star for very odd issues with accepting card payment. It took a lot of stress and time for absolutely no reason. Because in the end the apparently wrong card was accepted without an issue. So please, do something about your attitude regarding that and you will be awesome.

If you only need a one night stay, don't bother with this place as they will just keep declining your credit card. I booked the place through booking.com. Booking.com said the Guest House handled their own payment. I got a notice saying my card got declined. Called the bank, the bank said they didn't see any issue on their end. I put in a different credit card, the Guest House claimed that the credit card got declined as well. Sent the Guest House two messages and called them twice. They didn't respond until the 24 hour time limit on Booking.com expired and the reservation cancelled automatically. All the while both of my credit cards continued to work for my purchases.

Room with a firm queen bed, writing desk and hanger that was fairly quiet. Contactless the whole way through. Stairs to upper levels were small and creaky, clean shared bathrooms and a usable kitchen. On the 506 tram line that accesses downtown regularly. Great value overall particularly as a single traveller on a budget.

The location was great and the service was timely. The room was extremely well kept and this was a great place for the budget. Even though rooms were at close proximity the privacy was good. The shared bathroom was also clean.

I wanted to make a reservation but they kept declining my credit card. According to other reviews, it is their hobby. Zero communication, they didn't answer my messages or phone calls. Save your time and book something else than this scam.

The rooms were so cosy and even though we were there during an unconfortable heat wave, the room kept a good temperature. The costumer service was personalized and great. Kitchen with free tea and coffee, fridge, oven, microwave, etc and a good living room. We didnt regret to stop there. Next time we go to Toronto, it will be our choice again.
