We had an incredible expereince. The booking team was very responsive and accomodating, which we sincerely appreciated. The apartment has to be top five in all of Miami. We will absolutely be back, and would recommend this property to anyone that is looking for the best views, an amazing space and hotel, as well as the most comfortable furniture on the planet. All photos and descriptions are 100% accurate.

Yelp
From the staff, to the views, to the rooms, this hotel group is immaculate. 1 Hotel Group is truly the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. From the second you walk in, the 1's signature smell is flooded everywhere. It is truly magical. The eco friendly hotel is effortless, aesthetic, and relaxing. The details of this hotel are unmatched, and the pool/roof/beach area makes you truly feel like you are on a resort out of the country. I would stay here a million times over, it is one of the best places EVER!

Yelp
I stayed at the 1 Hotel South Beach as part of a four-day girls' trip this past weekend. Suffice to say, our experience was disappointing and at times unsafe due to negligence on the part of the hotel, which led to me cutting both of my feet on broken glass in our hotel room. As someone who appreciates thorough hotel reviews, and factors other guests' experiences in when deciding where to stay on vacation, I thought I'd expand on our experience below. 1. Allergy hazards My friend who booked the stay had communicated with the hotel ahead of time that there was an allergy in our group, and she asked to confirm that none of the toiletries contained lavender oil, which the hotel confirmed. We arrived to see that every single toiletry contained lavender oil--it was clearly labeled on the front of each product. We went back and forth with the hotel to ask for replacements--the hotel's initial solution was to tell us that they did not carry lavender-free toiletries (they did in the giftshop, by the same brand) and to remove all toiletries from the room. They eventually brought us toiletries from Walgreens at 2am. 2. Broken glass on the floor of our room After we returned from dinner the first night of our stay, I cut my foot in three places from stepping in broken shards of glass. It's not clear to me whether the glass was tracked in by cleaning staff, turndown service, or someone else, but the glass had not been in the room prior to us leaving for dinner. The shards were in a highly trafficked area inside the entrance to our room, and we would have noticed it/stepped in it prior to heading out had it been on the floor. Upon closer examination, we noticed *multiple* pieces of glass on the floor, ranging from tiny shards to larger, jagged pieces. As we came back to a room without soap, there was no way for us to clean the blood smeared across my foot and the floor until security came. 3. Poor service The prior-mentioned issues aside, there were numerous issues with service across the weekend: blankets the turndown service stripped from the bed and left balled and thrown in the closet, harried and curt waitstaff in the lobby cafe, being reprimanded for using an empty section of the gym by staff, and our room service items missing components of the meal, just to name a few. The only thing the hotel was attentive about was having their Loss Prevention team (basically the team in place to prevent us from suing for the broken glass/cut foot) call us repeatedly throughout the day, including early enough to wake us up one morning. Clearly, they were more concerned about protecting themselves from any damages than they were about making up for not only a poor--but an incredibly hazardous--stay. 4. Cleanliness of the room While the beds were clean and the counter surfaces were clean, when we looked closely at the floor, it was dirty, sticky, and covered in glass in the corners of the room: beyond the glass I'd stepped in, we found glass beneath the curtains by the closet in the entryway, as well as on the opposite side of the floor, under the minibar area. While the hotel did end up comping part of our stay, in our opinion, given the seriousness and volume of the issues we confronted, the gesture was far from sufficient. There are a number of quality hotels nearby in South Beach, and I'd recommend staying in any one of the other hotels (i.e., the W, the Setai, etc) if one expects to experience even a modicum of service that should be a given when staying at a premium hotel--just don't expect that here.

Yelp
1 Hotel Miami Beach was a dream! Perfect location, stunning room with a wood platform bed and motion-sensor night light, and easy beach access. Room service was top-notch, the rooftop bar was a vibe, and the running path behind the hotel made exploring a breeze. The staff even gave me a complimentary upgrade. Best holiday break since Christmas --I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The beach service at 1 Hotel was exceptional! Huge thanks to Massimo, and Adrian at the beach, for his warm hospitality and attention to detail. The piña coladas were perfectly refreshing, and the hummus was absolutely delicious. We felt so well cared for--can't wait to return!

Yelp
Had such a wonderful time during my stay at the 1 hotel that I had to come back. Everyone and I mean everyone was so nice! My room was absolutely amazing. I wish I remembered everyone's name who helped me out. Absolutely loved their private beach and cabana service. The pool was also amazing.

Yelp
Loved the roof top experience, this is a spot to visit for great fresh food and drinks. The lobby was beautiful. Our waiter was fantastic, cant wait to visit again.

Yelp
One of the best hotels in Miami. We were here over Christmas and staff was awesome at making the holiday special with surprises in the room like coquitos and cakes. Nice pool area and beachfront with amazing Waygu burgers, too.

Yelp
We had the best time ever at this hotel to celebrate my birthday. The food was fresh and light on the stomach. The drinks were delicious. The views were breathtaking. The staff/service was top notch. I can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
1 Hotel is one of the Miami's must stays and must do's if your looking to enhance your well being, state of mind, style and comfort level. It's so much more than just an exquisite hotel. It's the best of the best. After a few nights stay at 1 Hotel the results are all positive. Isa one of the Managers and his staff are on another level and are a breath of fresh air to say the least...Like Isa, everyone was exceptionally down to earth, very well mannered, thoughtful, kind, generous and good natured. It quickly becomes evident that the 1 Hotel not only prides itself on class, good times and the highest standard and quality of living but an astounding level of service as well that enhances one's overall experience at every turn. I highly recommend anything Isa and 1 Hotel. They are perfect. Thank you Isa and thank you 1 Hotel.

Yelp
4.5 stars Positive: - Beautiful sustainable hotel in South Beach. The design is modern & clean. - The staff is nice & professional and service is pretty good. - We got some food & fruits by the pool and at the beach, they were all decent. - We had a one bedroom suit, it was a beautiful modern room. - Access to 3 pools, private beach and also fun activities like ping pong table etc. Negative: - Staff did knock on the door right after we checked in to water plants. They should just water plants when the turn the room around not after new guests arrive. - While organized with too service it's a bit too controlled. We had 5 people trying to get beds by the pool. 3 of us arrived first as other 2 got stuck in the care line. The pool folks wouldn't give us 5 beds. They said all need to be present to hold beds. At the end we got lucky that our group arrived before other random folks show up. - Elevators: I like how it worked with optimizing people & elevators - too many people & 6 elevators. However there were times that they were 20+ people trying to get to same floor and it sent us all to same elevator. No way we could fit. So we had to wait for a group to get in & leave, re-scan our key and request a new elevator which meant longer waits than necessary. - We had early check in but they ended up giving our room pretty much at 4pm. I wish they had communicated that from the beginning so we don't waste our time waiting.

Yelp
Came here for an event a few months ago & immediately was blown away by just the lobby! It feels LUX. Beachy meets modern. Obsessed with the whites, wood & greenery. The second you walk in you're hit with the signature 1 hotel scent. Whatever they're selling I'm buying! Luckily you can at the gift shop! We grabbed a cocktail at the lobby bar and relaxed on one of the cloud couches. Love me a good coffee table book! The rooftop was UNREAL. The event ended right as the sun was setting and it was the cherry on top to a great night! I will be back!!

Yelp
Hotel 1 is like living in your most beautiful boho fantasy. It is a stunning hotel from the lobby, to the restaurants, to the pools and rooms. All the items are so carefully curated with love plants, reclaimed wood, and not to mention the water refill spouts in every room. The food at every single restaurant is impeccable and extremely fresh and flavorful. We visited for my mom's birthday and boy did they make us feel special - birthday drinks and dessert at the bar and sent to the room. Special thank you to Jailyn who is the sweetest human and it made our day to see her. I can't imagine why you would choose any other hotel in Miami Beach when this is so far ahead of the others. I know we won't. We can't wait to come back to visit!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. For me the restaurants were the best part. Definitely try to go to Watr - absolutely incredible food (pictured) and views. You can see the sunset over the city and I recommend the grouper + lychee cocktail. I forget my server's first name but his last name was Flower and he had the best energy and made my experience so pleasant. I also loved the room, super peaceful and such a treat to stay in. I came for my birthday and they brought me a complimentary cake to my room the first day which I thought was special. Tala is also such a vibe. I loved all the dj's they had at the bars/pools, made me feel like I was on an island. I had such a relaxing time and would definitely come again. I would also recommend trying one of the workout classes - the two female instructors I got to take class from were great. The only thing was that my room was not ready for a few hours past when it should've and my check out time couldn't be delayed when my flight wasn't until later that night. Other than that, I'm super happy I was able to have this experience and would go back in the future.

Yelp
My first hotel in Miami was at South Beach at the 1 Hotel. This is a pretty unique hotel that was updated and they do have other locations in other states as well. But this was my first time staying at any 1 Hotel location. The check-in was fast and super nice. The lady that had helped us was named Abra and she was the best. The process of checking in was simple and she was super helpful. This place is literally like walking into a relaxation retreat which is what we needed on this girl's trip adventure. There is plenty of areas to enjoy yourself in and even the lobby is very inviting. Don't forget to check out the beach and bring your sunscreen. The waves are just nice to hear and they have plenty of layout chairs and umbrellas. Also, some people come around to take your food or drink order. So you don't need to do much work here. Our hotel room was also really nice and comfy. The air conditioner was also nice and cold. It was a wonderful time and hands down the best for a chill Miami trip. Glad we decided to stay here and check out what the hotel had to offer.

Yelp
Still a five stars from me. When you arrive and sit in their lobby, the worries just ebb away. Everything is white, beige, wood, all the natural elements. The bar is also super friendly and the drinks are on point. The valet is a little hit or miss.

Yelp
I've returned to this hotel many times because it's special: exquisitely appointed, comfortable, and serene. The rooftop pool is a gorgeous setting with expansive ocean views, but there are 2 other pools that have stunning views of the ocean too. The signature 1Hotel scent is a must have souvenir so be sure to snag a candle (or ten) in the lobby boutique. **pro tip: be sure to ask about scheduled construction before you book. This visit, we are leaving the hotel early because of construction disturbances happening 9a-5p. Any guest would've appreciated a heads up on this at the time of booking, not upon arrival. I wish this misstep would've been avoided by better management and communication to the guests. I would've chosen a different hotel this time around from the start rather than wasting time on my friend's birthday trip trying to outrun construction noise and looking for a new hotel for remainder of the trip.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the 1 Hotel South Beach, anticipating a five-star experience. The reality fell drastically short of expectations. From the outset, the service and rooms was reminiscent of a two-star establishment--careless and unaccommodating. Hotel has done great marketing as it became apparent that the room renovation efforts were on the cheaper side, lacking the finesse one would expect at a high-end hotel. Technology is very spotty, TV barely works, and app is look quality. We also experienced construction noises, and fire alarms at 8 am multiple mornings. The staff's attitude was non-helpful and indifferent, making it challenging to address any concerns. The amenities, which should be a highlight at a hotel of this caliber, were underwhelming and did not meet basic expectations. Dining at the hotel was another major letdown with limited and unappealing food options, compounded by seemingly disinterested management. If you have ever been to a real five star hotel you will be disastrously disappointed. For anyone seeking a genuine five-star hotel experience, I regretfully advise looking elsewhere. My experience at the 1 Hotel South Beach was far from satisfactory, and I will not be returning.

Yelp
4 star ambience, 4 star service, 4 star price/value. Remarkably slick update of an old 1970s hotel. 1 Hotels focuses on "eco friendly" furnishings and practices, like reclaimed wood for decor / furniture and environmentally sound cleaning etc 4 star ambience: The lobby is an amazing reno of a fairly standard 1970s layout (2 story lobby with tall square columns). I vaguely remember 2 incarnations ago of this hotel (Perry Hotel I think) and it looked like a large Holiday Inn...this looks like a perfume commercial with all white and light wood tones, plus fluttering curtains. 4 star service: It's a huge place, from the giant lobby to 4 pools onsite. It can take a few minutes to get someone's attention to get a drink or ask a question. Aside from the large hotel, slightly impersonal feel, it all seems to work reasonably well. 4 star price / value: It's overpriced for what it is...At this price point, everything should work like an expensive Swiss watch, not just look like a Swiss spa, but with a Timex watch's soul. It's good but not great that way.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. Still in pristine condition. However... 1. The woman that checked me in offered to "upgrade" us to a water view room (I had booked a king city view). She said it would be a bit more "intimate" but have a view of the ocean. I was hesitant because I wanted the space but said ok. We were put in one half of a connecting family room (king bed without the famous raised platform- no seating area - no separate tub/shower). They don't even sell this room on the website - only bookable as a connecting family room. When asked, she said it wasn't an upgrade just an option if we wanted a view over space (?). Fine - fixed - Put in our original style room with a partial ocean view. 2. Asked at check-in what baby items were available for the room. She said a crib. I said what else - she didn't know and would get back to us. Fine. She never did. 2. Had to literally hunt someone down to take our order at the pool. No one came back to check on us. 3. Towels at the pool were quite stained I am shocked that at a rack rate of nearly $1400/night this is the service. The room switch felt like we were getting taken advantage of - like a bait and switch for a cheaper room. At the 1hotel in Cabo we were greeted by name everywhere we went. The only people that were shining lights in my day was Marcos at the valet and Louise in housekeeping. The concierge has also been helpful for reservations. Hoping this stay turns around for us for all the $ we're paying. So far bad vibes. My husband is a physician and works crazy hours - this was supposed to be a treat. Anyway! Here's a photo of my adorable son on his first vacation! We're determined to make the most of this time together.

Yelp
Stunning property. Everything is well done here, from the interior design, the rooms, and service. Truly a 5 star experience. Entrance to the hotel from the road can only be accessed going north on Collins, so beware if driving south to the hotel you'll have to take a detour to get going north. The studio suite during the stay was well laid out, clean, and well maintained. Amenities include a deep stainless steel sink, dishwasher, full size fridge and freezer, nespresso, washer/dryer, balcony with lounger, safe, nice size slider closet, robes, ironing set, and more! Gym is very adequate for a hotel gym. You'll find it near the spa. You can get enough of a pump in even if you might not hit your max weight it gets the job done. The equipment is in great shape. I've been to some 5 star hotels where the equipment is literally rusting. Pool side and beach side service is very accommodating. Tip them well--especially the beach service! It is nice to be able to walk out of the resort and go right across the walking path onto the resort beach. I would come back to south beach just to stay at this resort the entire time.

Yelp
I had a reserveration for Dec 17th as we were flying to FL to celebrate our pregnancy and take maternity pictures. Because of an incoming large storm, we had to cancel our trip 4 days before arrival and I had contacted 1 Hotel to see if there was any flexibility with our reservation. Unfortunately I did not realized I had booked a non refundable rate, so they were not able to assist with our request to change the reservation to a later date or a partial refund. We had another hotel booked for the other portion of our stay which was also non refundable rate, but that hotel was more than willing help. I had asked the same about moving the reservation date or a partial refund, but they went above and beyond to offer a full refund which was very helpful. I understand that the 1 Hotel was abiding by the rate category for my reservation, so I do not leave this review to disparage them. I only leave this review to warn others to make sure they book a refundable rate room if they think they may need to make changes, as this hotel will not stray from the policy no matter the circumstance. At over $625 for the single night stay that was lost, it will be difficult for me to consider booking at this hotel when eventually returning to FL during better weather to celebrate our pregnancy.

Yelp
Stunning hotel and excellent staff. We stayed a short four days and loved every moment. It rained intermittently two days during our stay but it didn't put a damper because the hotel is so cozy and stunning. We took advantage of the daily workout classes and they were excellent. Yoga with Derek was my favorite. Intense class but he adds humour to help distract from the fact that we've been holding downward dog for longer than we should. The Anatomy gym at 14,000 sq ft is massive and impressive. The steam room is a bit intoxicating at first, with literal blasts of aromatherapy flooding your senses but my skin felt so good afterwards. I enjoyed the rooftop pool but the 3rd floor level had more of the vibrant vibe I wanted and of course the hot tub. Cocktails expectingly run high but there's a liquor store right across the street if you're looking for more than two drinks per poolside/beach session since they'll run you about $18-20 a drink. Fridge storage in the hotel room is not a thing, however. So prepare to get creative. The fridge is a compact mini bar with no room for anything but. There was also no full length mirror or vanity mirror in our room, which made getting ready somewhat of a task. On the occasion that you need ice for previously mentioned liquor store runs, you'll have to call and request. There is an ice machine on the floor but restricted from guest access. Food: the vegan burger at the Watr rooftop restaurant is tasty, as are the truffle fries. We opted for the breakfast buffet each morning since it was a better deal than à la carte. As someone who is vegetarian but leans more towards plant-based/vegan, it was honestly just OK. The omelette bar and scrambled eggs were tempting but I wished there were more vegan options. Vegan folks--fruit, breakfast potatoes, and a somewhat oily vegetable medley and avocado toast will be your buffet fix. The buffet usually held us through the day and we ventured out each night for dinner. Overall, highly recommend and longing for an extended weekend here soon again.

Yelp
Couldn't have asked for a better stay here. I highly recommend the 1 hotel when traveling to any city but especially Miami. They have 3 different pools that all overlook the ocean. Their hospitality and customer service is 5 star and we can't wait to go back

Yelp
Whether you consider the name uber pretentious or fun, tongue-in-check (I'm still vacillating), one thing causing no debate was the excellent level of service afforded by the staff at the 1. I was apprehensive about check-in, as the lobby appeared mobbed. The check in staff were quick, efficient and far cheerier than many might be with such a busy desk. My room was prepared quickly, my luggage delivered before I arrived to the room, and I was allowed to check in early to an upgraded room with a stellar view of the beach. Further, they brought me a large water bowl and a fresh, plush bed for my pup to sleep on (mad points for being overwhelmingly dog friendly btw). I wish I could remember all of the people that I interacted with, so I could list them by name, but everyone was just kind and attentive, from the housekeeper taking care of my room to the gentleman in charge of controlling access to the rooftop pool. Shout out to Nikki at the upstairs bar for helping my buddy with his taxing drink request and for making excellent drinks all around, Raemu, the most friendly, vibrant, attentive and professional server I've met in a long time (WATR & pool area), Luis, for providing excellent cabana service with killer energy together with Raemu, and Maylin, who was so warm and engaging while quickly making the most perfectly fluffy and creamy omelet I've had in a long time. Also amazing (IMO) were the meals I had. I truly enjoyed the thought that went into the preparation of the breakfast buffet at Habitat, and everything looked and tasted fresh and delicious. The selections at WATR were all good, and I highly, highly recommend both the spicy crunchy tuna roll and the halibut. Ordered them multiple times throughout my stay. Just yum. Burger and fries were solid at Tala. Great, friendly and efficient service everywhere. Where the 1 loses points is the elevator system. Simply inefficient and slow for a hotel this size. There was not one day that I did not see, on multiple occasions, guests struggling with it. Additionally, I was bummed about the lack of a speaker in the room and didn't understand why my shower stall was so massive, but only had access to water on one end, far, far away from the cool bench I imagine was designed for people to sit on. Also, I get the whole eco friendly vibe of the hotel, but those indoor/outdoor carpets are uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. What I feel is the biggest sin, however, is the ludicrously priced mini bar. I totally understand up charging to a reasonable extent. But at these room prices, it feels exploitative, tacky and just disrespectful. I believe a little thoughtfulness goes a long way with one's customers, but so do unjustifiable transgressions. Despite the above, I had an excellent experience at the 1, and would definitely consider repeating it next time I'm down in Miami. The property is beautiful, the staff are amazing, lots of great dining options on site and nearby. You can't go wrong.

Yelp
This hotel is exquisite. The one hotel features many amenities including a pool, spa, gym, and many more. The rooms are very nice and a great size for a hotel in Miami Beach. The staff are great, so professional, and provide accommodation and assistance whenever needed. If you are thinking about having a relaxing stay in Miami Beach you must seriously consider staying at 1 hotel south beach.

Yelp
While I know we visited this resort during the off season and made it more quiet and calm but let me tell you, it was perfection. The front desk staff was super friendly and walked us through what was offered at the resort. The rooms stayed cool in the intense heat. The rooftop pool staff work their butts off regardless of the heat. I felt so bad for them but they were amazing! The breakfast staff were also super friendly and best hotel breakfast for the price.

Yelp
5 star "luxury" hotel missing all the 5 star services and beyond. Thanks to Amex platinum we were upgraded to an apt suite that came with a full kitchen and laundry/dryer. We absolutely had zero use for it all but we loved to get a feel of what it would have been like to be living in south beach. Also with Amex platinum, early check in and check out is given. The rooms weren't ready so they took our bags and said they would notify us via text when ready and have our bags in the room awaiting us. The wait times to check in was a bit of a joke. The line quickly formed behind me and there was only 1 front desk associate. We checked in around 1pm so wasn't peak times. Other staff members near by just stared at all of us waiting. The concierge team was looking blankly at all of us in line. Am I at a 5 star hotel or motel 6? Finally after checking in, the associate was nice and informed me about the property. Next I wanted to know about reservations at the rooftop so checked in with concierge. They told me I have to go up directly and check in with the host as they have no idea what is happening up there and that they don't pick up phones or answer emails. LOL. UHM. Are you the 5 star concierge team or are you just sitting there? I'm a guest at YOUR hotel wanting a reservation at YOUR establishment, and you can't help me? I have to figure it out bc YOUR staff have no means to communicate with each other to help YOUR guests?? Like what?! Anyways. We go up to see about reservations and wait times with the host and they tell us nothing is available and that next rsvp is at 9pm. It's 1 pm at the moment. First off, I'm a guest at your hotel and I understand that your rooftop is hot commodity but one of the main reason of staying at a 5 star "luxury" hotel and dropping $1200 a night is the VIP service that comes from being a guest staying there!!!! Like wtf am I dropping money for? As a hotel rooftop, you would think they would have an area just for guests and residents but nope. I had to wait and was just told it's first come first serve at the bar and good luck!!! (!!!??!!!) There were multiple tables open but nope. We then get a text stating our room is ready so we check in. We notice our bags are missing. We call front desk and they state they will bring it up in 20-30 mins. We don't want to waste time so we tell them to bring it up but we are leaving to explore. We return to our room and it's 9:30 pm. OUR BAGS ARE STILL NOT IN THE ROOM. However, there is a rollaway bed that we never asked for in our room. We call front desk and ask about our bags. They say it's coming but it's 9:30pm. We checked in at 1:00pm!!! I demand to talk to a manager. Again, not an issue if I stayed at a 2 star or 1 star Or even 3 star hotel. But a 5 star?!!! This is beyond ridiculous. What if I needed something urgent from my bag? Like medicine? Allergy medicine? Tampons?! Whatever etc!!! The manager gives us $150 hotel credit to redeem the situation and told them to take the rollaway bed bc it was never requested. The one star I gave was for the sustainability of the hotel. The other star is for the Audi test drive we were able to experience for 2 hours. HOWEVER so sketch!!! They didn't even ask me for my drivers ID or take a picture of it. What if I was intoxicated? What if I was a felon? What if I was crazy lol. They never checked..... again great job 5 star hotel for making others safe.... The buffet we experienced and the private pool on the rooftop was great but I honestly do not understand the hype of this mediocre hotel. 5 stars my butt. I had a better time staying at a best western with better service than this 5 star wannabe of a place. REFUND me my money. TLDR: wasted $1200 on a 2 star hotel. SKIP SKIP SKIP. .

Yelp
Book it here. We came on a company trip, and wowwwww. We're here for 4 nights, one of the best hotel experiences ever, the interior design is so aesthetically pleasing and makes you automatically feel relaxed. The hallways make me feel like I'm talking through the great pyramids of Giza. The room is very spacious, I love the open massive shower with waterfall shower head. Rooms make you feel like you have a spacious living area as well as a spacious bedroom area at the same time. We had backyard access to the pool. Staff are very nice. And they're lotion and conditioner are so rich. The price was about $1000 a night, so you'll get what you pay for- which is a fantastic experience.

Yelp
I simply love this place - this was our third stay and they never disappoint. From the service, the food and overall experience it's simply the best. This time around we splurged and got the 1 bedroom suite and the room was gorgeous. I absolutely love the decor, small details and the creative ways they found to drive sustainability throughout. The water fountain in the rooms are simply put genius and extremely convenient. We ate at Habitat last night and the food was superb and so was the service. For our main course we had the NY Strip which was to die for and seasoned to perfection and Cochinita Pibil Tacos and the slow roasted pork was authentic and juicy. For appetizers we had the cauliflower and tried the steak tartar for the first time which was unique and delicious! I am amazed how the hotel manages to have high occupancy while still keeping a tranquil vibe. Overall I cannot rave enough about our experience and we look forward to coming back

Yelp
The truth is -- it's a 5 star place, with a 10 star price. The pictures won't deceive you, The 1 truly is one of the most beautifully-designed hotels in south beach. The interior is heavily bohemian inspired with natural woods, warm tones, and earthy wall treatments. The restaurants, boutiques, bars, and the spa within the resort are all equally as airy and beautiful. Be sure to note though -- you'll pay $12 for a coffee and no less than $40 to eat decorative leaves. The rooms are outfitted with sleek, modern finishes and perfect ambiance and accent lighting. My husband and I found the service and the valet to always be incredibly hospitable and eager to help. (As they should be when you're paying $1500+ a night) The 1 is a huge attraction for tourists from outside of Miami, both within the country and internationally (partially because Miami people won't entertain their prices). There's such a plethora of things to do and see within the hotel, you really don't need to leave to make a trip out of it. What we didn't know was that South Beach itself, is an absolute dump, extremely dirty and trashy. -- definitely an overrated location but 'The 1' is a sight for sore eyes. Overall, a very beautiful, memorable experience, just be prepared to pay!!

Yelp
The best hotel I've ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building and it gets more breathtaking when you walk in the building. High quality rooms. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine.

Yelp
Miami is one of my favorite cities in the world and I always stay at the 1 Hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. They have a variety of restaurant options and the food is amazing. The beach is very clean. The service is top notch (shoutout to Julian who served us at the beach. He was very polite, gave great recommendations, and helpful). I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
1 Hotel South Beach markets itself very strongly as an environmentally-friendly, sustainable hotel, which would be amazing if it was true, however, after a week here, I've discovered it's just a lot of greenwashing - pretty marketing with not much substantive behind it. The downsides: False advertising on the environmentally friendly bit. It's similar to every other South Beach resort, except with a blanket of "sustainability" marketing on top. There is a tremendous amount of single-use plastic and even if you ask for certain items to eat there (not to-go), you will still be served in a plastic container. Not only is the environmentally unfriendly, it is a bit much when you're paying $28 to get your over-priced greens in a plastic cup. The beach is covered in plastic cups, straws and plastic wrap. It's a micro plastic nightmare. To access the beaches you need wrist ties that are not recyclable or re-usable. Some containers are marked as "commercially compostable" but no composting is available so you have to throw them away and - newsflash! - commercially compostable materials don't compost in regular trash. The PlntShed advertises that it is "proudly straw free" and yet sits a large bucket o' straws within. few feet of the sign. If you're going to talk the talk, walk the walk, or just don't talk that talk. Some of the managers, such as Barak I., of the rooftop bar are unpolished, for lack of a better word, and seem like they'd be better off as bouncers at a strip club than managers at a luxury resort. Finally, even though they close a part of the beach for a few hours for the sea turtles to lay eggs, they then re-open the same spot, which is not safe for the eggs that were just laid. Again, talking the talk without walking the walk. The upsides: Check in staff was lovely - courteous, professional and helpful. The overall decor is stunning and the rooms are lovely. The location cannot be beat although Collins Avenue has a plethora of luxury hotel options that are all quite similar, with various interesting nightlife options. The bars here are fabulous in terms of their creative cocktails but mixed in terms of the bartenders - some seem like they're quite unhappy to be there. The waitstaff, though, was 100% excellent with no waiter or waitress who wasn't absolutely attentive and pleasant. The gym, Anatomy, is marvelous. The machines are plentiful and kept in great repair. The group fitness classes are top notch. They also have some really great trainers there. 5 stars for the gym. Security is also very decent. Miami Police always seem to be close by and, when there were fights at the bars, security was always quick to respond. Also, the hotel is quite pet friendly. There were lots of adorable dogs and they were all well behaved. That part was very fun. The middles: As noted above, the bartenders were a mixed bag: some great and some very grumpy. The manager of the hotel rooftop bar, Burak, is pretty trashy - it's a real trade off for pretty views but a seeming necessity for greased palms. Came off as low class. Clientele at the rooftop bar is also mixed - some fabulous fun nightlife nights and other really trashy evenings. Depends on the night you go. Housekeeping was generally quite good. The hotel is very busy during holidays and peak season so you may have to wait awhile for service sometimes, but it comes eventually. The beach is not as clean as I had expected but then again it was very busy so there was debris everywhere. The SPA was middle of the road. If you just go for relaxation and only want light pressure, you will likely be happy; should you prefer a therapeutic massage, you might be disappointed. Tried two different massage therapists but had the same experience with both. A very light touch. It's a small space and fine but nothing special for the level of resort that this hotel is. The FOOD is only ok. I would strongly advise going elsewhere for dining, especially for the price. Very processed, greasy, unhealthy overall, with the fruit and greens (healthier options) seemingly only available in single use plastic containers, which, if you're trying to avoid clogging your body with micro plastics, is not helpful. The bars, though, are good in terms of their cocktails. In general, overpriced for what it was. Does not appear to service many locals. Mostly a foreign crowd.

Yelp
Came in for a deep tissue ended up getting hurt and lady didn't know how to give a deep tissue . Management asked how I liked my massage I told them and they said they would give me 20% off. I went to pay the guy was trying to charge me full price . Very disappointed in the service here .

Yelp
Last stay at any 1 Hotel.... This hotel is now showing its age a bit... but more importantly, they have terrible customer service. I booked a multi night stay months ago, but learned afterwards that i need to leave a day early. I tried in advance to change the reservation, but the phone rep told me that to reduce the stay by 1 night, it would cost me $400 more.... she said her system would only let her cancel the rez, and then make a new one at new rates. that's never happened to me before. So I figured I would take care of it on site. Simply tell the hotel receptionist that I need to leave a day earlier. I've done this hundreds of times before at other hotels. the receptionist tells me that she would talk to the reservations group and text me as soon as it's resolved. Great. I'm encouraged. Unfortunately, an hour later I get the following text from the Concierge. "In house reservations team stated, "For any early departure, guest will be responsible for remaining nights." If you have further questions their email address is 1sbresv@1hotels.com. " Then they change my reservation to check me out the day early so they can use the room again, while NOT offering me a refund. this is a poor decision by one hotels. I'm sure some quant in the CFO's office ran an analysis suggesting that if we impose this policy we can improve revenue by X percent. What they did not consider is... I will never stay at a 1 hotel again. how does that impact your revenue?

Yelp
Love it there!!! The Salmon rolls are amazing. was at the pool and then the beach. service was great too

Yelp
The grounds are cool, the hotel is interesting. The kids club is a little small and the common spaces are more reminiscent of a club than kid friendly. Unfortunately while at the pool we were attacked by seagulls, they assured us this was abnormal and their machines that keep the birds away were broken. The beach access was decent and overall I feel our stay was enjoyable.

Yelp
A long overdue review. My husband and I were on vacation in Miami in March and decided to stay here a in privately owned residential unit which is attached to the hotel. The property was just gorgeous. They have so many things to do in the area as well. Through the residential you save a bit of money on the room. You don't have access to the room service but that's hardly an inconvenience. They have a wonderful rooftop restaurant. The pool is the cleanest pool I've ever seen. The bars around the pool and on the beach are $$$ so be prepared for that. This is expected though for a 5 star hotel. My only complaint is that the pool hours aren't great. The pool closes at like 7:00pm. Overall I would highly recommend staying at the property. My husband and I rarely splurge for a place like this but we are very glad we did.

Yelp
We sat at the bar for 20 minutes and no bartender asked us if we needed anything, mind you we are patiently waiting and also made eye contact with most of them to make it obvious we were looking to order. We leave to walk around for a bit to return to the bar 5 minutes later and see a couple sitting there with two waters in front of them. It was clear they were pre-judging us as if we didn't have money. Unbelievable service

Yelp
We should have left the minute we received our drinks. You make a reservation for a rooftop bar expecting to have a Beautiful view of downtown Miami (like my picture attached) but what they fail the tell you is that there is no view while eating. You have to go through the bathrooms (yes you read that right!) to the other side to even see 1 city light! We sat down and checked the menu ordered a small appetizer and 2 drinks. Was super excited to start dinner off with a frose! What a disappointment! The "froze" came out "not frozen" at all and here's the worse part. The drinks were served in PLASTIC. Including the wine!!! Now, your telling me $17 drinks are being served to us in plastic cups? The place claims to be fancy but its really low class for a high price tag. We wanted to walk out after such a joke but decided to end our dinner here and spend our money else where. My advice, spend your money where itll be worth spending. Not this tourist stop

Yelp
Gorgeous, but pricey. 1 hotel is stunning, inside and out. 3 pools, private beach front access, at least 4 bars, you truly never have to leave the premises if you don't want to. That would be a shame, since it's located in South Beach, and there are tons of quality eateries within a few blocks. Even our "basic" room was incredible (backlight headboard...what?!?) and it was the largest hotel room we've had in recent memory. Huge bathroom and there's filtered water on tap! Even the hallways consistently small like a spa, it's wonderful. The service was exceptional from literally every staff member we interacted with. They were genuinely friendly and seemed eager to help. We harassed room service with requests and they were consistently at our door within 15 minutes. Really impressive. Nitpicks? There's more than a few. -If you eat or drink on premises, they hit you with an 18% "service fee." I don't know if that's a Miami-dade county mandate, the result of COVID, or just the hotel forcing gratuity on you, but making your already expensive food cost 20% sucks pretty hard. On the upside, it forced us to explore and as a result, we found some amazing restaurants. -The place is allergic to firm pillows. There were 22 pillows in our room, then we ordered a few more from room service. Every single one had the firmness of boiled spaghetti -The small platform of reclaimed wood that the bed sits on looks incredible. Until you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Then it creaks like a 17th century Spanish galleon. We would absolutely stay here again, 1Hotel is worth every penny.

Yelp
This hotel has gone from an amazing experience to basically a Motel 6. I have stayed here 4 times before with my family. This time I was going alone with my husband. I advised the hotel concierge a month in advance of my early arrival and that I needed to check in early. Upon arrival they did not have my room ready. Once I was given my room it was not the room I payed for. They gave me a room in the dungeon on the 3rd floor next to staff and to the machines. I could hear the staff conversations all day long. On top of that on 3 occasions staff opened my door to my room without knocking. The room hair dryer didn't work. The ironing board was damaged and didn't work. The television also didn't work. No body wash in the room only hand soap. When staff cleans they don't clean the floor so the room is always dirty. I wouldn't stay here again or wish this stay upon my worst enemy. The staff in the entry pays no attention to your requests. If you ask for a drink they just ignore you. The service and experience here is horrible will not be coming back.

Yelp
Incredible property with multiple pools. There was a bit of a snafu when I checked in but because they process took longer than expected, they went ahead and upgraded one of my rooms to a full suite with kitchenette. The room was pretty clean and a VIBE. The entire hotel is so aesthetically pleasing to the eye - so many photo ops and Instagrammable moments throughout the property. We are fans!

Yelp
I can not believe this hotel has 3.7 rating. This should have above 5. I have been to Miami for 5 times and this hotel is one of a kind with app the details and character. Staff very friendly. Paola from breakfast restaurant super nice. Karl from guest relations great guy. Security guys very friendly Fabiana from kids club. I mean i can give a lot of names but again the 5 star review is mostly for the hotel. There was a construction going on which was a little noisy but they are doing it for us so it is more convenient and fresher. Definitely if Miami then 1 HOTEL SOUTH BEACH

Yelp
Great hotel fantastic rooms. I stayed here for my birthday and spent a total of 5 nights this hotel is amazing. If you're looking for weekend get away then this is it. I'm not sure why others complain about the price but for what you're getting while you stay here it is COMPETITIVELY PRICED. The rooms are huge compared to a four seasons or other hotels on this level granted I did get a suite. However the modern contemporary merger of convenience and shopping was great for me. 8 minutes from bal harbour shops 2 minutes to beach what more could you ask for. P.S I was obsessed with shower gels they smelled so great can't wait to go back

Yelp
They have the best workout gym in a hotel that I have been to. Free weights, machines, punching bags, ropes, etc. If you are planning to continue to your workout routine on vacation, this place will deliver. It is not cheap. We spent almost ~$60 on two smoothies after we got a workout in. They were good but I don't plan to do that again. The staff is very attentive, nice and you get the sense that customer service is definitely their top priority. Room was nice, clean, high end. They have multiple pools (5 or more). We spent most of the time by the "family" pool which was shallow and closer to the food. I want to try other hotels in the area the next we are in town but this place was very nice especially for the size.

Yelp
Visited this hotel for dinner on the rooftop and the ambiance and views did not disappoint. The lobby is truly breath-taking and the rooftop was also beautiful. The drinks were delicious and so was the food. The only thing preventing me from giving this place 5 stars was the service. Our waiter barely came to check on us and was not attentive. But besides that it's a beautiful spot with great cuisine. I'll definitely be back :)

Yelp
1 Hotel South Beach in Miami Beach is a great place to stay in the middle of everything at the beach. I really like everything that they have available here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need for the best stay.
