10 Hastings Boutique Motel & Cafe

The bed on our room was absolutely horrible! It had totally collapsed into the middle and when we went to bed that night, we realised there were rusted springs sticking out of the top and the side of the mattress. A functional mattress seems a minimum requirement when offering accommodation. There was nothing boutique about this place. The entrance to the rooms is in the back alley of the on-site restaurant, Piccolino, where the service and attitude was much like the motel’s - terrible. I have not even had the courtesy of a reply to my e-mail bringing this to their attention. Avoid staying here if at all possible. If everything else is booked up, rather drive to the next town.

I made a booking with this hotel but had to cancel less than two hours later after realising my wife had suddenly become very unwell. To my surprise, the hotel refused to issue any kind of refund or even partial credit, stating that I had booked a “non-cancellation” room type. While I understand that policies exist, what was shocking to me was the complete lack of empathy and compassion shown in the circumstances.||We weren’t trying to game the system or cancel for convenience, it was a genuine medical situation. Even Booking.com, through whom I made the reservation, were prepared to waive their commission to help, but the hotel still declined to do the right thing.||This experience has left a very sour impression. For me, true hospitality is not just about rooms and amenities but also about treating guests with basic understanding. Unfortunately, this hotel failed badly on that front. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking here, especially if you value customer care and flexibility.

Booked 3 nights, stayed 2. Could not tolerate another night on what seemed to be an old inner spring mattress. Room 9 is a loft room. Opening windows, no screens for insects, no balcony. The bathroom was big, great shower, terrible lighting, floor looked grubby. Apartment needs more work, old furniture. Not worth the money to be so uncomfortable. No option to pay at property, took my payment 3 weeks prior to stay. Booked through hotels.com. MUST book parking, limited parking spaces. Was not made clear. Unable to contact property prior to stay. The only positives great location, great Pizza at Piccolinos. Would never recommend and never stay there again.

Barely adequate. Over priced for the ‘back packer’ style accommodation. The room was very tired, sparse and basic with scuff marks over every wall. The bathroom was tiny and barely functional. A classic roadside motel really

Terrible Service ! We booked one night , then days before arrival my partner had a medical incident that required urgent specialist treatment requiring us to delay our holiday by 1 x week We tried to call 10 Hastings but none of the listed phone numbers work !! I really can’t believe how unprofessional even this is So we emailed and also messaged via Expedia. They finally came back to me today with a No. Given the other terrible reviews I’ve just read there’s no way I would go back here and would advise anyone to steer clear of 10 Hastings St Hotel.

Catalina was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me to my room after I booked late and arrived after hours. I really appreciate the team and catalinas customer service. Thank you again! Not to mention the location is right in town and walking distance to absolutely everything!

We booked a stay through Expedia for tonight, but due to a sudden medical emergency, I was unable to travel and simply wanted to postpone our booking to next Friday. Both Expedia and I have been trying to contact the property multiple times, but no one has responded at all. All we’re asking for is a reply or some assistance to move our booking to a new date — not even a refund, just a change of date. It’s really frustrating and disappointing to receive zero communication, especially in a situation beyond our control.

On booking, the payment was taken instantly by wotif although my booking was a pay on arrival arrangement. Unable to book car park at the time so I contacted 10 Hastings to ask about payment and park however had no response but unsure if message didn’t go through the wotif booking portal however. Day of check in informed no parks available. Room extremely unimpressive. Shower door opens on either the toilet or in the shower stream. The tiles in shower are very grubby. The doona on the awful uncomfortable roller bed is not covered so the old stains are unfortunately visible. The AC unit looks like it’s never been cleaned and is the loudest AC I’ve ever tried to sleep near. The chair next to bed is stained which doesn’t help to feel the room is clean. The entry door may be heavy as Luis noted however the issue is that the key is extremely difficult to get in the right position to be able to turn and unlock! It’s one of those ‘hold your tongue out and stand on one leg whilst squinting to get the key in the right position’ kind of things 🙄 The carport (which is numbered the number of the room we stayed in and is directly beneath the apartment) which was apparently booked by someone else staying elsewhere smelt like an ash tray and on leaving I actually saw a put out cigarette on the ground. Funny there’s a fee for having smoked here yet the place smells like cigarette already anyway. These apartments really feel like a cheap emergency side of the road hotel and I would recommend to anyone to pay another $100-200 to stay somewhere decent!

By far the best breakfast I had in my 13 days in Australia. We ordered the almond croissant, the waffles and the pancakes and a tea and iced vanilla latte. They even accidentally made an extra waffle free of charge! The waitress was awesome and I highly recommend coming in for breakfast. And there is free entertainment with the birds.

We visited the 10 Hastings Café just for breakfast - toast with vegemite, smashed avo and açai bowl. They first served us the toast and the avo, but it seemed they forgot our bowl. So, after waiting several minutes (after we have already eaten the first two dishes) we asked what seemed to be the manager about our bowl. He apologized politely and after another few minutes, we had it on our table. The dishes were all good, but nothing special (average). The café is very conveniently located in the back of Hastings Street - close to parking spots and the beach. The interior is bright and appealing, that's actually why we noticed it and ended up checking out their menu - which has interesting and mouth-watering dishes on it. All in all, our breakfast experience at the 10 Hastings Café was good, not great, but good.

Whilst the staff were very nice, i found the menu a little boring with the exception of proscuitto as an optional extra. They were out of proscuitto and did not have cream for coffee - these two things made me very sad. But the smashed avo on gluten free with bacon was nice. I suggest that if you like the look of the menu, you'll enjoy this place and it has a lovely beachy atmosphere.

My friend and I both got the smashed avo toast and were quite disappointed. We saw this place via the Instagram and wanted to try it out in person, though it's Instagram makes it seem more worthy than it is. The size of the avo toast we got was stupid, barely tided us over for an hour and a half until we needed to eat again. The coffee was nothing spectacular and the food was average, we've definitely had better. Service was incredibly rude to us for no reason. It took us a very long time just to order, about 20-30 minutes after sitting down. Ambience is average and there is "indoor" and outdoor seating. Basically: prices are higher than should be, service sucks, and food sizing was unacceptable.

10 Hastings St had so much potential... It looked so cute, there was a great atmosphere and the menu sounded amazing. However, I ordered the hotcakes and a chocolate thickshake and both were disappointing. First my choc thickshake had bits of banana in it? They must not have cleaned the machine or something but it was gross and shocking when I got lumps of banana stuck in my straw that I didn't expect! Lucky I wasn't allergic. Then the hotcakes arrived with acai sorbet, fresh fruits and added bacon, looked great until I cut in and found my pancakes were raw on the inside..gross gooey mixture :( After mentioning these failings to the staff they took a 'discount' and price still ended up being $40 for two... Unhappy

Tasty coffee, fabulous smashed avo with Persian feta, dukkah and pumpkin purée Pricey but the norm for noosa

This is an inviting spot for coffee and yummy breakfast. They have a very nice attitude here and the coffee and brekkie were perfect. It's a quieter end of Hastings Street with a more local feel. There's a comfy sofa facing the sidewalk and umbrella tables with cute plants and decor all around the cafe. They serve lunch, drinks, and have takeaway if you like that. We stayed at Seahaven Resort and it's right across the street.

Pork No 10 Benedict breakfast was yum (according to my son who refused to share). Mini pancakes rated 5/5 by youngest son. Also did not share. Nice atmosphere. And good coffee.

Great Spanish food for dinner and live entertainment. One of better paellas I have had around the world and would be in my top 10 that I have had. The beef cheeks were fabulous and mussel and clam special was fantastic. Would recommend for dinner and surprise on the ratings of this place.

Pleasant staff but mediocre coffee and the doughnut was disappointingly dry. Looked promising from the street and was busy each time we passed so expected a better experience.

We went to 10 Hastings for a family dinner, drawn by the promise of slow-cooked lamb shoulder and roast pork belly sliders! The lamb shoulder didn't disappoint but the slider-buns were on the dry side, and the pizzas were a little 'fresh out of the freezer'.

Not bad place! Staff pretty hopeless! Try ordering at the counter they send you to the table and advice that they have table service...than they never come again! Oh sorry here they are just when I was about to leave...
