Beautiful space, inspiring art, friendly people! They even had craft kits for my kiddos!

A welcoming environment, even for my companion dog, with a very tasty selection of unique local artists' works in the gift shop. The current display of knitted and embroidered works was especially interesting. Be certain to do the scavenger hunt!

This gallery is spectacular. They present different artists on a rotating basis thay will spark the imagination and encourage all to seek their inner artistic side. The gift shop also has the most incredible items for sale at very reasonable prices. Everyone should visit this place at least once!

This is the second Art crawl I've been to. Always really talented artist displayed.

I am an autistic POC amateur photographer who frequently looks at art in the Tulsa area. This place is the only place I go that the employees make me uncomfortable. It is odd to say hi and bye to someone and have them ignore you every time. They certainly aren't that way with everyone. I did have a conversation with one person that was nice that gave me a business card. Some of the people go out of their way to make me feel unwelcome. It isn't the first time in my life to deal with predjudice it won't be the last. The art community is usually better though.

Other than seeing my uncles work in the current exhibit I just it was ok. The instruments on display were beautiful even thogh it was a small exhibit, but I can't be asking for a full on Museum because it was free to get in!

My favorite gallery in Tulsa. I'm always impressed by the selections. The artists they choose have been great. It's also free admission, which makes it a great place to visit. During my last visit I got to speak with some of the staff. They were so kind and told me about all the events they're implementing.

This is a unique gallery, steps away from the Woody Guthrie Center. We usually drop in on First Fridays, but I also love to visit midday, after catching lunch somewhere in the Brady District. Do not think this is an "arts and crafts" venue. While the purpose of the gallery is to promote local artists, it is the FINE crafting that gets highlighted here. I have seen some tremendous tapestry artists (like John Eric Riis), other fiber arts and ceramics on display here. As others have pointed it, one of the biggest benefits is that it is free. The small gift shop has some outstanding wares for sale.

"It was heartwarming to see everyone and such a mix: a cross dresser and George Kaiser in the same crowd." I wrote this two yrs ago, reviewing First Friday Art Crawl. It remains an interesting place with extremely diverse offerings. Often the artists stand nearby their creations for discussion. It's often about design, be it furniture or clothes, shoes, or fabric art. There was an exhibit where afflicted women (cancer, as I recall) donated their dresses with a personal statement attached. Insightful. And I met the most interesting doctor there that night. i e, you never know the extent of where this Gallery will take you. Always food for thought and yet, often whimsical. And speaking of food, they really put on a First Friday spread if you're into publicly offered free food. If you get there early enough, their caterer does a beautiful job of presenting. Fruit, cheese, crackers, cookies, chips, dips; the usual. Thought provoking. And crowded. Be prepared if you attend first Friday.

To be fair my only experiences here have been during First Friday art crawls. This being said I do enjoy looking over local art. I have never been disappointed by what I've seen and enjoy the variety. Staff that are present are always knowledgeable and helpful.

I stumbled upon this art gallery while walking around downtown with a friend after dinner. We just walked in (awkwardly, since we didn't know whether we could just walk in or not). We weren't greeted at all. We didn't even see a person working there (turns out she was in the back on her iPhone. Really professional). The space was really nice and open - it looked like a true, chic art gallery. There were less than 50 art pieces there, all for sale. I think it only took us 15 minutes to look at everything. Some were really cool, some were eh. If you're looking for something to do before/after dinner, this is an option!!

I went during First Friday Art Crawl. This gallery was pretty cool but packed due to the event. I liked the life-sized pieces. Maybe I should come back when it's not as packed. I would have more time to soak in the artwork & capture more pieces.

I love this place! It's a great stop when you're in Downtown Tulsa, and best of all - it's free! They have new featured artists almost monthly and the quality of the artists that I've seen has always been amazing, very unique and different than many galleries I have been to in the past. I'd really like to see inside the shop during one of Tulsa's artwalks and how they treat those nights. The space is really just one giant gallery, with a small inlet of local art and wares, all priced under $400. The artwork I've seen here has generally been very statement making, enough stimulation for a gallery with just one featured artist. It takes about 30 minutes or less to go through, perfect if you're waiting for a reservation elsewhere or just wandering around. 108 Contemporary also works with other organizations to offer classes for the community. Most artists are Oklahoma local, and artists that are not fall along the theme of using found objects.

So... I have only been here a couple times, but mostly for events. From what I know- they are awesome. It is super contemporary, minimal and clean. It is what the Brady District needs. I really like that the last exhibition I saw featured basketweaving, but not just into baskets. Also, they had activities for children that went along with the exhibit. Audrey was super happy and was able to take it home with her to complete it later. The docents we encountered were super sweet and helpful.
