Yelp
The best service. The best chef. And absolutely the best food. The ambience and experience beats all in houston.

Yelp
I really love the overall mood and vibe of this place. The darker reds, blacks, along with the chairs, murals, classy design style really elevate this place. Entrance to this place is from a large front door greeted by hostess stand encircling with taller darker curtains. After you pass the hostess, there's a walkup to the bar area and dining, with larger groups to the immediate right and further toward the back of the bar. The bar area is nice with two top tables to the left that allow for cozier seating. Most if all the folks are dressed in nice attire and this place definitely seems to be one of those Instagram places for many. I found service at the bar and table service to be very prompt, helpful and friendly which added to the experience. Drinks all seemed to be well composed. The menu's for food and drink aren't too overly complicated. Drink menu has the typical cocktail choices, along with red and white wines, and bottled beers. Apparently, they have the worlds coldest martini, a LOUIS XIII "PERFECT POUR" and a GOLD FASHION. The food menu has CHILLED NOSH & WARM NOMS basically appetizers. I would recommend trying out their JD's pepperoni pizza and jumbo shrimp cocktail. They also have a limited selection of sushi rolls. The Hawaiian Sunset roll and the Spicy Sinatra rolls were both good. MILO'S LOBSTER PASTA was a good option, though for the price the GRILLED BRANZINO filet I thought was way overpriced for 1/2 of a fish filet. I haven't yet tried any of their steaks, but maybe on the next visit. I guess one thing that pops out is the price on their steaks better be damn good since they probably run about 15% higher than most other places. Overall, I keep coming back to this place probably for the combination of drinks, atmosphere, food and service. I find everyone is friendly, and people are well dressed. For drinks, apps, and vibe definitely a good place to come.

Yelp
I wish I could say I enjoyed my experience here. But from start to finish it was less than stellar. Let's start in the lot: there are virtually no signs letting you know it's valet only or where to even drop off your car for valet. My BIRTHDAY dinner reservation was originally for 7 and I told them when we arrived it's likely on 6. 3 of us waited at the bar for the rest of the party. We ordered drinks and before they could come our table was ready. We got to the table which had 6 place settings but was so tight. I'll spare the other details but we moved 4 times without apology from management. Oh yeah, our drinks found us after we sat down the third time and all the foam in mine had melted. The food was not truly family style as they describe it--I was expecting deep dishes like Steak 48 or Mastro's. I think everyone could have had more food. Broccolini was good but mostly stems. The sushi had cream cheese in it and it wasn't on the menu! Lol you cannot put cream cheese in sushi without disclosing that. Cauliflower was good. Caesar was fine but again could have more for the price. Hm so after all that we get the check and no gratuity was included on the itemized list but then he runs the cards for diff amounts including gratuity with no explanation or new receipt of how much was included. Nothing was comp'd for this disaster of a birthday meal--not even the birthday dessert. Drake's cannot accommodate parties bigger than 4-5. I don't see myself coming back anytime soon. The food was fine but the service failed the day.

Yelp
Service was horrible. We had an 8pm reservation and weren't seated until 8:20. The booths are extremely small. I was with a party of 7 and told that the booths could comfortably fit 7. Only 5 of us were able to fit and we didn't have much room. We asked for a bigger booth and they moved us to a smaller one. Eventually the waitress found a table with standard seats but told us there was a party eating their entree so we would need to wait. The restaurant was extremely unreasonable, unaccommodating, refused to acknowledge that their booths could truly fit 7 and failed to offer any solutions. We were the ones finding solutions and tables. After 40 mins, we finally sat down at a table for 6. One friend ended up going home because of the chaos. Food portions were NOT family size. The prices were comparable to some of the more prestigious steakhouses in town like capital grille but the portions size were significantly smaller. Finally, when our bill came out, there wasn't a gratuity or service charge of any kind listed. We thought that was odd and decided, as a group, how much to tip the server. We agreed in 20%. We gave our cards and when the receipts came back for us to sign, we realized the server, AFTER THR FACT, added an 18% gratuity. He did not give us advance warning and essentially increased our bill without us being able to review. We had to calculate the difference to get to the bottom of the price discrepancy. Of course, the server was nowhere to be found after he dropped the receipts off. This was extremely deceptive and unprofessional. I've never had such an experience and will never be going back. I highly advise against going here and supporting this business.

Yelp
My first time at Drake's and it left a good impression! My waitress was very nice and friendly and gave us a great rundown of the menu items. From her suggestion, I ordered the mac & cheese, as I am a big mac & cheese connoisseur. It was a nine 9/10! I definitely go back just for the mac & cheese alone. All of the other food was good, I came on a Saturday night. The place was busy, we made reservations about two days before I would definitely suggest making reservations. The drinks were good as well. They don't have a lot of tequila brands. But their house tequila (casa something, I think) is pretty good. I'd definitely go back to try more items on the menu.

Yelp
Not sure if I was a victim of the hype, but I was not as impressed with Drakes for dinner. The ambiance is cute. It reminds me of a fancy diner. The presentation was there, the flavor - not as much. Please note it is loud. There were 6 of us and if you were sitting in the middle you had to decide which convo you'd be apart of (right side of table/left side) because it was pretty noisy. Might be better option for a smaller group. Our waitress was cool and attentive. I would come back for HH, but I can spend $350 at a more satisfying restaurant. Food: Sushi was the best thing I ate. Steak was ok Crab cake I wouldn't reorder Spinach everyone else like it, but I don't eat cream spinach Crispy tuna wasn't that good. The rice honestly wasn't very crispy. Curly fries dish is great for sharing The drinks didn't impress me, but I'd pick the expresso martini over the spicy margarita

Yelp
Valet parking only. I would highly recommend reservations unless you are lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. The place itself is great for photo ops. It gives old Hollywood vibes. Our reservations was at 9:15pm and it was rather loud/crowded in there. I found myself talking really loud at times. The food was good but over priced. We had a variety of dishes. The vin scully fries and creamed spinach were my faves. The Caesar salad was good as well..:definitely shareable. The expresso martini was pretty tasty. I wouldn't recommend the French 76 and Lemon Fizz. Definitely will be back to try some different dishes.

Yelp
Visited on a Sunday night and food was just okay. No parking - valet only. Reservations required for most nights. Highlight of meal was the pasta zaza. For drinks we had the cucumber spritz which was surprisingly tasty. I would skip the Mac and cheese. Ceasar salad was solid. Seating for 2 was a bit awkward we were seated at a small oval table with couch seated facing the bar. I didn't like it.

Yelp
Dined in for a Christmas dinner with some friends and was throughly pleased with our food. We were seated within 5 minutes. The ambiance of the establishment is dimly lit and has an old Hollywood feel. All of the food was amazing quality. Some favorites among our spread were the Pasta Zaza (with added shrimp), Jumbo Lump Crab cake, Ozzy's Filet Mignon Pizza, and the Chili Garlic Broccolini. I docked a point for the service and rules. Upon seating we were informed there was no flash photography allowed on the main floor, though an extremely loud table behind us utilized theirs with no issues. Our server, Manuel was also a bit slower and seemed frustrated when a patron at our table accidentally knocked her drink over. She was then charged twice for it and had to ask for one to be removed, as well as asked for the replacement drink. Another server (who's name I can't remember) was extremely helpful in the gaps with bringing out our food, clearing the table, boxing out to go items, and helping capture our photo. For my drink, I chose the lemon fizz which was just okay. The spicy Caesar salad was also okay but felt it was missing something. Overall a pretty good experience and I would visit again!

Yelp
Overall, I really enjoyed it. The vibe is truly reminiscent of the old Frank and Musso's in LA. Really pretty, upbeat, fun music, kind of dark and romantic. To manage expectations, this is more like a Ciel or bottle service type club than a glitzy spot like Turner's Cut or Tony's. You will see lots of skimpy outfits. After reading the reviews I was concerned but I really liked the food and service, food portions are absolutely enormous. We had: - Cauliflower - huge portion, very tasty and kind of sweet/sour and filling - Spicy Caesar - very huge portion but well done. Tasted fresh and perfectly dressed - Crab cake- good but probably won't order again. They just aren't as good as Trulucks, Toulouse, Steak 48, etc. - Mac and cheese - very rich and good for a splurge - Chocolate pie - I would call this a mousse because I think pie does this tasty dessert a disservice. It was excellent and worth the calories. Enough to serve 4 ppl IMO Drinks were reasonably priced considering what they could be charging. Especially the wines and bottles were priced well. Service was good. Plan to return, even if just for the ambiance.

Yelp
Upon entering this restaurant, there was a cool vibe. The music was loud and the dining room was dark. It had jazzy vibes. Parking is valet only. The service was impeccable, very attentive and friendly. The food, however, was not stellar. For appetizers, the spicy tuna crispy rice was disappointing. I expected the crispy rice to be warm or hot but it was room temp and meh. The shrimp cocktail shrimp was huge but was very bland and somewhat overcooked. The cauliflower was decent, lightly fried but not super flavorful. For entrees, the grilled branzino was a bit dry and very olivey. The delmonico steak was huge and had truffle butter which was very good. The Mac and cheese was very al dente and dry. The broccolini was good but the best side was the loaded mashed potatoes. They were buttery and so flavorful. For dessert the chocolate silk pie was delicious. The strawberry cake however was ridiculously tall and very hard and way too sweet. Not sure I liked this place enough to come back.

Yelp
Upscale steakhouse vibe with a fun twist. Great for date night or a celebration dinner, especially if someone else is paying. Outstanding service from our server Mark. He was fun, guided us through the menu options and ensured everything was to our liking. He personally redid drinks that were not perfect. He made sure all the food recommendations came out perfectly and were to our satisfaction. The food is a mix of steakhouse and Asian fusion. Some of the stand out foods were a jumbo shrimp cocktail with remoulade, the dry aged delmonico with truffle butter, loaded mashed potatoes, and chocolate silk pie. There are also basic staples like the classic mac and cheese and filets which are executed well. The 24 layer strawberry cake is impressive and visually stunning, but tastes like a basic cake. It pairs well with the chocolate silk pie. The vibe and decor is mostly steakhouse but with some old Hollywood murals on the wall. It's valet only unless you find street parking nearby.

Yelp
Love the vibes and the food. Just found out there is a private room for events or large parties. It is lively on the weekends which I like. I haven't had any food that I didn't like. Our waiter was attentive and had good recommendations. One of my new favs!

Yelp
Let me tell you that I am so glad to have gotten into this restaurant before all the Tik Tok hype really makes reservations impossible. Immediately when you walk in-- Frank Sinatra vibes. Very classy, old money, and fitted for the upper echelon. The aesthetic of this restaurant took me to a place and experience that was kept up with the service and ambiance. Love the red... it was giving Beauty and Essex,, who is the interior designer??! This is such a date and baby making night I mean come on The food was just as good especially from our server, Michael, who was very attentive and explained the menu very well and proved exquisite table side service. The lobster pasta was good and creamy and tasted almost like a curry sauce, but it's not curry just that texture of it. It was smoky and delicious with a little spice on the end. The lobster was a little chewy, so it should have been cooked for less time tbh. Another dish I enjoyed was the 28 Day Dry Aged steak and bernaise sauce... yall I was in heaven. OMGGGG the seasoning, the juiciness, the sauce. This steak was top tier and easily gives one of those "nice" steakhouses a fun for the money. Come here for the steak!!! I will be back as a regular time and time again. This restaurant is a hit and is what Houston needs. 10/10!!

Yelp
Must check out this dress to impress, vibey upscale American dining experience. I'm always a little apprehensive that the food won't match the vibes at these spots but Drake's definitely proved me wrong. The decor and vibes were on point for an upscale, traditional but trendy dining experience - think Vegas Carbone vibes. Food - probably can't go wrong with anything you order -- steak - perfectly cooked and complemented with truffle butter. --- spicy Caesar - had a nice kick - must try if you like salads -- pasta -- more of a side than a main dish but it accompanied the menu well -- loaded mash - delicious and went well with the steak --- bananas foster cheesecake -- awesome presentation - overall good taste for the most part but the alcohol didn't burn off in some areas resulting in a strong taste Service - great! Parking - valet $10 Overall great option when you're feeling a little extra!

Yelp
Drake's Hollywood is an excellent spot for celebrating a special occasion or coming for date night. The atmosphere is retro and classy, with dim lighting and captivating art on the walls. While the exterior may not be too impressive, stepping inside is a totally different experience. Located in Montrose, the valet situation is a bit annoying, but once you're inside, the ambiance is fantastic. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and made sure to mention it several times when reserving. Our server, Hannah, was great, though she didn't walk us through the menu, we had to rely on our own research. Thankfully, the food didn't disappoint--it was all delicious! However, I wish we had been seated at a larger booth. The tiny booth in front of the bar barely had enough room for three dishes, and we felt cramped as more plates arrived. Here's what we ordered: * Spicy Caesar Salad: 10/10 - Unique and flavorful with a perfect hint of spice. * Cauliflower Dynamite: 7/10 - It was okay but lacked sauce and didn't wow us. * Pasta Za Za: 103983/10 - The star of the night. An absolutely amazing pasta dish! * Filet Classique: 8/10 - A good steak, though nothing out of the ordinary. * Loaded Mashed Potatoes (no bacon): 9/10 - Cheesy and delicious, especially paired with the steak. One thing that frustrated me was that our server didn't acknowledge we were celebrating a birthday, even though it was noted in the reservation. Typically, high-end restaurants inquire about special occasions, especially when you're about to spend $200 on a meal. We ordered dessert--a decadent chocolate silk pie--which was tasty, but we had to pay $17 for it. Was it worth the price? Not sure. Overall, Drake's Hollywood is a fantastic place for a date night with an impressive vibe and great food. We just wished the service had been a little more attentive! But will definitely be returning to try other things on the menu!

Yelp
This spot is a true Houston hotspot--elegant, upscale, and full of fun! While I didn't try the food, their drinks are absolutely amazing. It's a great place for a date or a night out with friends. They even have a super cute Cotton Candy "drink" that's as fun as it is delicious! Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
My first time going to drakes hollywood! We came for a birthday dinner and I appreciated their service prior to the dinner because it was going to be a big party and they were on top of everything, which made me feel well-informed of their regulations. The food was good. I really enjoyed the steak tartare. Only downside to it was the bread, was just a bit too hard for me. The pasta za za was okay. The pasta was a bit overcooked and felt like the sauce was sliding off the noodle. Also, the spice was spicyyyy! I couldn't finish because of it. One thing this place doesn't tell you is that they charge for water, I was actually shocked when we saw the bill and was charged $80. The vibe of the restaurant is old Hollywood. Must be dressed nice! Overall, it was a good experience, I would come again but same time unsure because it is rather expensive.

Yelp
Came for dinner on Saturday night with friends and had such a great time. We were promptly seating upon arrival and while I was initially disappointed to be seated in the side room instead of the main dining space, it ended up being great because when DJ started at 8pm we were still easily able to hear each other. Our waiter, Roman, was top notch. Super attentive through dinner service and made great recommendations. For dinner we ordered a bunch of items to share: hamachi, pepperoni pizza, pasta za za, white fish piccata, Delmonico steak and the broccolini. I would honestly happily recommend every one of those items. My husband said that both the world's coldest martini and the espresso martini were both great and he enjoyed the strawberry cake as well. Restaurant has a real party vibe and the people watching was another bonus. Will for sure be coming back.

Yelp
My friends and I visited Drakes Hollywood... The name of the restaurant normally would have been a red flag for me...but alas my friend wanted to patronage this establishment for her birthday. She was pumped about it due to her familiarity with the location in Dallas. We had a reservation for 8:30pm. One person in our party arrived at 8:23pm and were told the table wasn't ready. The remainder of us arrived 5 mins later at 8:28pm and still the table wasn't ready. We weren't seated until 8:57pm..With a reservation...what exactly is the point of making a reservation if you are subject to long wait times as if you were a walk in?? We had to touch base with the hostess numerous times inquiring about our "reservation" no staff member initiated a conversation regarding the delay of our seating. Once we were seated, we were introduced to our "server" Ana. No ma'am. Ana was fighting for her life the whole night apparently. Because the service was not present in the room. She presented as if she didn't want to be at work. She was not attentive to our table at all. I tried to wave her down 4 times and each time she brushed by our table without a second thought to perhaps check if we needed anything... Not great. It was quite interesting actually. Apparently our waitress was having a bad time with the table next to us, so that translated to inadequate service received at our table. I too work in service...but it's healthcare so I service patients. My bad day cannot and should not be reflective in the care I provide to patients. Subsequently whatever Ana was going through with the table next to us should not be cross transferred onto us. That is not providing proper customer service. Now, the food. My understanding is this restaurant is owned by the company that owns Hudson house which I love. So I was hopeful. I tried the salmon which was seated on a bed of mashed potatoes and lentils. It did not taste bad...but as usual my issue with the salmon that is usually served in restaurants at a certain price point is that it is not wild caught. Charging a premium price for subpar seafood is actually crazy. Farm raised does not cut it for the price point. It should be better. I reluctantly ordered a Paloma due to struggling to get Ana to attend to our table long enough to place an order. Very heavy on the Mezcal. The other members of my party ordered the filet mignon pizza, it's really really good, the lobster buns and the sweet & sour cauliflower, they said they liked it. I was told the espresso martini is good but didn't try it because I needed to sleep. Anyway...perhaps I'll consider coming back with hopes of a better experience, with better waitstaff that is not on their yes girl give me nothing. A rather offputting experience.

Yelp
We had an amazing time here! We came in Valentine's Day and loved the ambiance. The restaurant was busy but the seating is nice and spacious so it didn't feel crowded like a lot of restaurants typically do on Valentine's Day. Food was phenomenal! Our server Vincent was great- gave solid recommendations! Perfect date night spot- we will definitely be back!

Yelp
I was sooo excited to try this restaurant, however, my guest and I were extremely disappointed. I made a reservation on open table for 8:30 p.m. We arrived at 8:35 p.m. and waited 50 min to be seated with a reservation!!! FIFTY 5-0!! Truly unacceptable. The ladies at the hostess stand kept saying they were cleaning the table, or you're next, however, that was nowhere near the truth. In fact, people who had just got there were being sat ahead of us!! We were not the only ones troubled by the wait times, other guests were also upset. We finally sat down at 9:18 p.m. Upon seating, we were immediately greeted. Great, however, the waitress never came back. We didn't receive water until 15 minutes later. Oh, and it's not free either might I add. Drinks: French 76 & Crazy Mexican (both were very good) 9/10 Food: Sinatra Roll- had cream cheese inside and no one really liked it. 5/10 Pasta zaza- 5/10 not tasty, came cold, and honestly truly tasted like boxed pasta. Synonymous to a Chef Boyardee Hawaiian Ribeye- 5/10 also was not good and came a tad cold Broccolini - 7/10 tasty, a nice solid side dish would've paired nicely with the right meal The restaurant as a whole is nice and aesthetically pleasing. I believe they even had a decent music selection too, however, it was hard to hear due to the noise. I don't think this was a case of ordering the wrong thing. In fact, the manager passed by and stated, "these are our most popular dishes". All in all, The dishes were not good. They tasted like something you can make at home yourself and it may even taste better. Between the wait times, the snobby waitress, and the unpleasant food, I will not be back and definitely do not recommend.

Yelp
Dined in on a Wednesday and everything was DELICIOUS!! The entrance has a strong odor. Request for Coleman! Appetizers -Lobster escargot is a must! -King crab Rangoon was good but some of them were hollow, cream cheese must have snook out during frying Main -Hawaiian ribeye is super flavorful and extremely tender -Loaded mashed potatoes was creamy goodness World's coldest martini is so strong! Beautiful restaurant!

Yelp
Walking into the restaurant it def gives old Hollywood vibes. It's dimly lit with light music playing, if I was just reviewing based on aesthetic alone it would be a 10/10. We had the spicy tuna crispy rice and spicy Sinatra rolls. The appetizers were great, but after receiving those everything turned for the worst. The spicy Caesar salad had no flavor at all, not even spice. The menu stated jumbo lump crab cake so my friend and I were excited as we both lived in the Tri-state area and have high expectations. The crab cake was not jumbo lump, rather a shredded crab with bread crumbs. We informed the waiter of our dissatisfaction and he had whom I presume to be the manager come over. The manager confirmed that they are not using lump crabmeat and asked if we would like something else. I don't understand why restaurants continue to label their crab cakes as jumbo lump when it should just state crab cakes. When the manager asked if we would like something else we stated we would pay the difference and he said don't worry about it. We ended up getting the Lamb chops and pasta Zaza. Both of those dishes were great! The check arrives and we were charged for the replacement dishes we ordered. We asked the waiter to clarify with the manager as we were under the impression we would just be paying for the crab cakes. The waiter came back and said no the crab cakes were taken off the check. Instead of asking for the manager to come over, we just paid the bill. I wanted so much to love this restaurant but with the poor service and the hit or miss food items I will not be returning.

Yelp
Overall mood is cool, service is decent, food is hit or miss... we tried basically half the menu as a party of 4! I'd say the absolute best thing there is the pizza (the one with vodka sauce and added red pepper flakes), which is absolutely phenomenal! I would go out of my way to pick this up "to-go" anytime! The crab cakes were "meh" imo because the crab meat itself was that stringy, small kind--not the chunky kind. Their white fish was excellent! The beef tartare was a favorite. We opted for the strawberry layered cake and it was a "huge" (pun intended!) disappointment. It's just a dog & pony show, but the actual taste is severely lacking. A huge cake piece that's heavy, thick, and dry. I was expecting something like Lady M layered cake. Ambiance is cool, like a dimly lit speakeasy with a bar for watching sports. A lively amount of people can be here, but it's still easy to hear each other at a booth.

Yelp
came here for an early vday dinner at it was stupendous! the ambiance was nice, low dimmed, spacious booths. to start we had the pino grigio and an espresso martini, both tasted fantastic. we ordered the lobster mac and cheese and broccolini as a side, was more than enough for two and delish. my man got the pasta zaza and added lobster, creamy and spicy. i got the salmon and it was just perfect, soft with a nice crispy sautéed flavorful skin. the service was great and they even gave us complimentary champagne for the occasion! i will definitely be back!

Yelp
10/10 experience. When you walk into the restaurant it's like you're walking into an old Hollywood movie. They definitely paid attention to details. Even the tvs were in black and white. The food was impeccable. The branzino was easily one of the best I've had and the spicy rigatoni was delicious. I think they should have the option to add meat to it but maybe in the future. The only thing we didn't like was the red cake, it was okay but nothing special, had to throw it away. Also the prices are very much up there for Houston. But the experience is worth it.

Yelp
Food 3.5 stars Cocktails 5 stars Service 3 stars Experience 3 stars Only way I'd go back would be to sit at the bar for the ambiance and the cocktails. The night took a wrong turn right at the start when the sushi roll I ordered had surprise cream cheese in it. The spicy Sinatra roll was recommended by the server as a starter option. No where in the description on the menu or how it was verbally described to us, is there a mention of cream cheese. I HATE cream cheese and I would've never ordered this roll had I known. I did not even realize until I took my first bite and instantly recognized the flavor. I thought I was going crazy and even doubled checked the menu. I asked the server about it and the response was "not all the ingredients are listed on the menu." I mean that is a pretty polarizing sushi ingredient to leave off the list. One of the other rolls lists chives as an ingredient, but cream cheese doesn't make the cut.

Yelp
The service was MEH. 2.5 star. But overall 4 star experience. Drake's Hollywood met my expectations of the restaurant. The food was decent, the ambience is vintage and every dish showcased lots of flavor and attention to detail. The ambiance was clean, inviting, perfect for a memorable girls night out. The decor is old Hollywood, and the vibe is just right for a classy yet relaxed experience. When you arrive, they take your coat and store it in a coat room where it's kept warm. It was such a thoughtful touch to leave the restaurant with a nice, warm jacket! The staff was attentive and ensured that we had a great dining experience. From the moment we were seated, everything ran smoothly, our server did seem overwhelmed.. we did not have water for the first 15 minutes after we sat down and the service was a little slow in the beginning despite us being the first ones to be seated around 4:30 PM on a Tuesday. We got to try most of the menu since it was a large group. We ordered almost everything. The strawberry cake was a dry, the mac & cheese is dry, and they did not make the steak medium as requested so it tasted bloody. But everything else was amazing. I recommend the three cheese pizza. Happy hour is 4 to 6 PM. You can get a good deal on pizza and martinis. The major downside was my experience when I arrived early. I wasn't allowed to be seated at my table, so I had no choice but to head to the bar. When it came time to transition to my table, the bartender insisted I close out my tab, even though I wanted to transfer it. Her attitude about the situation left me less than impressed, which was disappointing. I liked her confidence but not pleasing a paying guest is unacceptable in my book. Despite this hiccup with the girl at the bar and slow service, I still highly recommend Drake's Hollywood for its fantastic food, stunning atmosphere, and overall quality. I'd come back for a drink and meal.

Yelp
I recently tried this spot and had a pretty good experience! The atmosphere was lively, with great music adding to the vibe--though it was on the louder side. The drinks were on point, and the steak was fantastic. We also had an artichoke appetizer that was really delicious! While some items, like the sushi roll and Caesar salad, didn't quite hit the mark for me, the menu had a lot of other interesting options that I'm excited to try next time. Overall, it's a spot with lots of potential, and I could see it being a great place to come back to with friends.

Yelp
Got to try Drake's finally and it was an experience!! Our server Marc Anthony was very attentive and offered great recommendations. The food was overall pretty good, the cheese pizza surprisingly stuck out the most as well as the Sinatra roll. The spicy tuna was okay, I've definitely had better. The pasta za za was good but felt like it was missing something maybe. We were celebrating our friend's bday and asked if they did anything special they said no but they put a candle on the cake. I love the old Hollywood aesthetic inside the restaurant. They have valet parking and there is also street parking. I would definitely come here again and order the pizza again and try other items off the menu!

Yelp
I came here for GNO, and I must say this was a good choice! The ambiance is very cute with a throwback/speakeasy type of vibe. We ordered the pasta and added chicken 10/10! it was delicious. We started with the spicy ceasear shared and it was quite tasty too and not too spicy. Our server was kind and attentive, I wish was shared the water options and cost, but no biggie. Parking is a pain in tail in this area. I valeted for $10. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and hope there is a happy hour here I can attend.

Yelp
Came here for a girls night and my meal blew me away! I got the filet mignon pizza and it was such a good feeling to have the kind of food that makes you want to tell random people on the street how good it is lol. The sauce was amazing, the balsamic glaze was such a good complimentary flavor. The arugula added texture and there were caramelized onions underneath it all that married all the flavors together perfectly. Ironically, the steak was my least favorite part, maybe it could've used a little more flavor, but it was cooked perfectly medium rare! I also had the Sinatra roll. It didn't stand out in any way, it was an average roll, but it was good to share with a friend. The crab cake was creamy and rich, which I enjoyed. I didn't like the sauce that came on it but my friends did! This place lives up to the old Hollywood theme. There are televisions playing shows in black and white, the red carpet, old table lamps and wall art filled with notable celebs really set the scene. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was because our server was not the best. He was slow, and appeared to be bothered with any request we made. Thankfully another server stepped in and helped us out and he was much brighter and helpful. I can't wait to return and try more menu items!

Yelp
Came here for a girls night out on a weekday! Definitely up to the par, the vodka pasta was to die for very spicy just a hint. The pizza I can't imagine not having it when I go there every time . It's thin and crispy and so flavorful. I didn't like any of their drink than you, but i did ask them to make me a cucumber martini, which they did! The chocolate cake was absolutely divine. I will be back!! Parking: valet or street. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
0 stars they rushed us out of our table and then told us we couldn't sit at the bar. Terrible food terrible service. I have never been to an establishment where I reserved a table and have been told I have to leave at a certain time.

Yelp
I've now been to Drake's Hollywood twice, for dinner and for drinks/appetizers. I enjoyed both experiences generally but likely won't be rushing back super soon, just due to the fact that the food was fine and the restaurant is a bit too see-and-be-seen for me. Here's what we tried: -Cauliflower appetizer: The cauliflower was my favorite dish that I had--we ordered it both times we visited Drake's. It's basically orange chicken, but with cauliflower instead of chicken. Delicious. -Filet mignon pizza: It was fine but kind of hard to eat with the massive pile of arugula on top. -Sinatra sushi roll: Good, not amazing. -Caesar salad: The traditional caesar salad was my second favorite dish--classic, fresh.

Yelp
The whole vibe of the restaurant is very nice. Low light and beautifully decorated. Our waitress was very kind and super attentive. The food was stellar. The steak was amazing, easily one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Be warned the salads are massive. Truly the largest portion of salad I have ever seen.

Yelp
Came here with an open mind to try something new. The appetizers are a bit underwhelming. The fries are okay, but for $21, they taste exactly like Jack in the Box curly fries. The pasta is pretty good and has a nice spice level, but for $29, I expected a more filling portion. It tastes similar to a pasta dish from The Cheesecake Factory. The spicy tuna crispy rice was also underwhelming. While the spicy tuna itself was great, the rice was not crispy at all--rather, it was hard and stale. I think you'd be better off going to a sushi restaurant for that dish. Since this place is known for steaks and drinks, I wouldn't recommend these appetizers. The cake was terrible. It was for a birthday celebration and came out with a tall sparkling candle--very cute. However, the cake tasted like a cheap strawberry tres leches drenched in water. It had a strange texture, being crumbly, cold, and wet, making it unpleasant to chew. The only dish worth mentioning is the pasta. The service is good--the waiter was attentive and had a positive attitude. The ambiance is gorgeous and reminiscent of New York, with beautiful decor and a great vibe. Overall, I feel this restaurant is more about the experience and atmosphere than the food itself. If you're seeking high-quality food with ambiance and service, there are better options at this price point. I was definitely one of the many people who fell victim to the TikTok hype. If anyone is coming here solely for the food, they'd be better off going to The Cheesecake Factory or Joey Uptown--honestly, even Pappadeaux or Landry's would be a better choice. That said, everyone has different tastes, and I hope anyone who visits will enjoy their experience.

Yelp
Service was stellar, and the space is gorgeous. I love the booth seating, the dim lighting, and the elegant finishes and light fixtures. We enjoyed the hamachi appetizers, however, while the lobster escargot was an interesting idea, I actually found myself wishing it was buttery garlicky escargot. The porterhouse was absolutely delicious - easily one of the best steaks I've had in quite a while. It was seasoned beautifully and prepared masterfully. The dry aging provided that uniquely intense beef flavor as well as that stunning crispy crust. Sides were excellent, as well... we had the Mac and cheese and garlic chili broccolini, and both were delicious and flavorful as expected. What fell short of expectations was the strawberry cake. I was expecting a wonderful strawberry flavor but was met with a slight somewhat "artificial" flavor with a "waxy" mouthfeel. I wanted something buttery, either from the sponge or a buttercream icing, which didn't happen. But that chocolate dessert was simply divine. Will I be back? Most definitely. I look forward to trying other menu items.

Yelp
Swanky!!! The ambience gives old Hollywood. I love it. We sat at the bar because the reservation schedule is booked out for weeks. We tried our luck at the bar around 6pm. It was still packed, but there were a few seats available to snag. The bartenders very attentive and informative about the menu. We tried several things and overall everything was good. The caviar sticky rice in my opinion should be a hot dish, not cold. The pasta ZAZA needed just a pinch of salt, but everything else was still good in my opinion. Was it the best I ever had..no..but it was tasty and ai would go back

Yelp
Had my birthday dinner here and hands down the best meals I've ever had. Our server was so witty and helpful. Charles's was always charming when he came to the table. The inside of the restaurant is so beautiful and you feel like you've been transported to another time. We ordered the Spicy Tuna crispy rice which were delicious and the spicy Caesar salad for our starters. For our main we ordered Pasta Za Za and the Filet classique which were both a 10/10. The drinks were the star of the show The Mexican was so good I had to order another one and my sister in law did as well. They also brought us out a complimentary champagne to celebrate my birthday! Highly recommend for a date night or a special occasion. They are pricey but it is so worth it. Thank you for an amazing night!

Yelp
Sydney was amazing with her recommendations and service, 10/10 would come again. Get The Mexican!

Yelp
Although our server deserves two stars, the food definitely deserves five stars. The crabcake was large and delicious. Plus their sushi was some of the best sushi I've had. My friends also ordered the pizza which was very good as well. They should add this restaurant on the inKind app as it is very new and popular.

Yelp
Second time at Drake's & it was even better than the first. Our server, Mark, made the experience even better. Everything we tried was delicious just like the first time. Very cute, cozy date night spot.

Yelp
Everything you need to know in 1 review Food 1st point: I've never seen a steakhouse with sushi on the menu, however maybe this is the attempt to be different lol so please approach it with that mindset. Appetizers: I appreciate the split between cold and hot options. We tried the cauliflower dynamite and it didn't disappoint....a great blend between savory w/ sweet & fried perfectly. The Caesar salad was also good as well. Entrees: We got the jumbo lump crab cake, pasta Zaza, broccolini, and spinach which were decent. I can't say I was overly impressed with any of it under the pretenses of having a different flavor profile or the chef leveraging a unique technique per se. I would have loved to experience more creativity with these such as: the broccolini could have had an au jus for more flavor & the pasta sauce could have been implemented with a wine reduction. The crab cake was good and I appreciated the breadcrumbs for textural balance. The dessert was underwhelming for me: the 24 layer strawberry cake didn't taste like strawberry but a regular white cake with artificial icing. It was cold as if it was sitting in the fridge and that drew out some of the moisture. Try a smaller layered cake, add more fat to it i.e. buttermilk or butter, + a bit more leavening...& then add a strawberry compote to the batter. For the icing make it from scratch and add freeze dried strawberries to it for color. The strawberry drizzle on top, you can use the remnants of the compote...this sauce was too thin, diluted, & didn't taste fresh. The chocolate silk pie was very good. Overall...a 4!

Yelp
Went to Drake's for a birthday dinner, it was super dark in the restaurant that we weren't into but surprisingly big on the inside. Took a while to get our food, server was nice and friendly. Steak was a little on the salty side but still good. Pizza was decent, salmon with mash potatoes was delicious, and vodka pasta was with meat added was really good.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience at Drake's Hollywood last night! Didn't know what to expect but fell in love with the ambiance and vibe. While it wasn't quiet, it wasn't too loud and loved the rich, Old Hollywood decor. If you like martinis, you must get the "frozen" Grey Goose martini. Best I ever had. The crab cake was absolutely delicious. My husband and friends ordered the fish piccata and seafood pasta. Loved it! Our superb waiter, Charles was very attentive but didn't hover either. Can't wait to go back!
