Friendly environment and a friendly service. Served coffee with pleasant smiles For Dark Roast Coffee lovers, Losantiviille coffee is a good choice.

Went to 1215 coffee shop in the OTR district, there is a full cocktail and wine bar inside. Ordered a Cortado and Ginger Lemon tea. The baristas were friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the company even better! Mocktail and NA wine options available.

Drinks are psycho good! They are very talented but they are not kind. I’ve been here a handful of times over the years and the coffee and cocktails are top notch… but do not expect a conversation, a smile, or even a thank you lol just get your stuff and go

My wife and I planned to stop here after seeing it mentioned on several online sites/posts for best coffee in Cincinnati. This place is very cool inside! Huge wine selection, and I was impressed with their selection of pour over coffees. A ton of seating at the bar, tables/chairs inside, as well as outdoor seating. I ordered the Ethiopia Shantawene (Strawberry, lime, chocolate - By Deeper Roots) pour over, and my wife ordered a white chocolate latte. My pour over was very good, subtle flavors, and a smooth coffee to drink. My wife was very impressed with her latte. Love the vibe of this place and would love to visit again in the evening time to see what it's like. Hopefully I will be back soon!

Google
I love a place where you can get a cup of coffee late in the evening (or a cocktail.. or a coffee-based cocktail!) any time of the day. I'm sure I'll be back to explore more, but I just visited one afternoon to grab a plain latte. Espresso quality was very good, and I'd drink it any day. The vibe is more suitable for chilling/sipping a beverage with a friend than it is for plugging in and working, but they do have Wi-Fi and outlets. Zero complaints and all praise so far!

Google
Great place to enjoy coffee, tea, wine, etc whether alone, with friends or to getting it to go. Service is always friendly and knowledgeable about both the wines and the coffees. Wine by the bottle and glass, including flights, is varied and well selected. Same goes for the coffee and tea, which you can also enjoy in a cocktail. I enjoy it whatever time of day I stop by. Their Wi-Fi is fast and they also have some outside seating.

Google
Had a great cortado. Kind of rustic atmosphere on the inside. Plenty of seating inside but the outdoor seating looks awesome. I will definitely come back when the weather is good to get coffee or enbibe.

Early afternoon on a weekday my husband and I wanted to stop in for a drink somewhere but a lot of bars weren’t open yet, so we stumbled upon here. I loved that you could get half pours of wine and the couple I did try were delicious. My husband rye coffee was also really tasty and refreshing on a warm afternoon. We ordered at the register and our drinks were brought out to us on the patio. Was a nice afternoon and it was great that it was open at noon!

Yelp
Awesome staff, awesome coffee and super helpful with choosing what to order. The coffee was also phenomenal. Super chill vibes, exactly what you would expect when getting coffee and wanting to get some work done.

Yelp
I've walked past 1215 so many times on the way to somewhere else. We were out and I was craving an espresso martini, so we figured the wine bar and coffee lab was the perfect choice. I was skeptical of ordering their fancy version or a traditional espresso martini because of the mention of chocolate. I'm not a super sweet drink kind of person. I went out on a limb and decided on their fancy version (top model or something like that?) It was sooooo good! Service was fantastic.
google avatar

Michelle J.

Yelp
What could be better than coffee and wine/cocktails. I love the 2.5 oz pour option, that is what we ordered. Smart to offer because people will stop in for a small and affordable glass of wine before dinner. The espresso martini was pretty darn good. I always just love the coffee/wine/cocktails concept, genius.
google avatar

Yelp
A nice spot in OTL to get a cup of coffee (tea for me) while walking around. Not sure if they sell any food but it looked like they had a nice bar for later in the day. Looking forward to stopping here again on another visit.

Yelp
We stopped in for a drink before dinner and we ended up getting more coffee and tea then alcohol! I went with a London Fog as I hadn't a tea latte yet this weekend. It was made perfectly with just the right amount of vanilla and foam. It's not a big place but we were able to find a table for 6. They have seating at the bar and have plenty of wines to choose from. There is also seating outside in front of the cafe. Great friendly service!

Yelp
Charm, outside seating, great coffee options and booze. Spectacular! This hidden gem will check all the boxes for you. It's a great place to work on your laptop or chill with friends. The first time I went, I got a glass of wine and I saw someone drinking a delicious coffee drink. Upon inquiry, I found out they make a really good Irish coffee. It is now my favorite. The service is so friendly and the vibe is upscale. I love it here and always visit when I'm in Cinci. Lovely!

Yelp
What a cute, quaint, and cozy little shop, offering both coffee and wine. Add on that they have good wifi and a solid amount of seating and bam! You've found yourself a great coworking spot and after work drink spot all rolled into one. My friend and I both ordered a latte and shared a table in the very front along the window. I loved the natural light and the small vases of flowers on the table. Our drinks were lovely and the service was friendly. I'm definitely interested in returning for the wine side of the experience.

Beans L.

Yelp
Very friendly, very kind staff. They made my birthday night. They talked to us about what to do after. They offered to make me a decaf version of their popular drink. Would recommend you do a tasting before you buy the flight or just try the expresso martini.
google avatar

Kevin R.

Yelp
I always love getting a coffee after dinner, and my girlfriend love getting a glass of wine. So this is the perfect after dinner spot for us! Staff has always been super friendly. Even offering us samples of wine from time to time. Very chill vibe. A good blend of a coffee spot and wine bar.

Yelp
1215 is definitely one of my go-to's! Great place to meet for a morning coffee, a happy hour drink, or an after-dinner cappuccino or glass of wine. Everyone's very friendly and service is fast. I usually find enough seating inside the intimate space, and they have a few outdoor tables during the warmer seasons as well! Love browsing wine to take home or to enjoy there. Their no corkage fee deal on Mondays makes it a great time to try something new with a few friends. Also love their tasting options, and it's fun to guess which wine is which.
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've worked downtown, but I used to love coming to 1215 for that one of a kind Chai. I'm happy to report that the chai is still there, and still amazing, as is the service. I recently worked remotely from there (for like a whole half a day!), had a London Fog, and was pleased with the friendliness and hospitality during my stay. Not much there in the way of gluten free goodies but there was a paktli! Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next time I can come visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in to avoid the cold while waiting for a dinner table in the area. Quick service and such a cute vibe. Not too crowded on a Saturday evening and the menu includes a full coffee bar in addition to wine as the name indicates. Irish coffee was perfectly prepared!

Yelp
Recently visited this little gem while exploring Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. My friend and I were needing a little pick-me-up... craving an espresso martini to be exact... with an outdoor spot to sit since it was a beautiful day. We popped in to see if they could make the martini... not a problem! The waitress was very friendly, told us to go ahead and grab our seats outside, and she'd bring it to us. We ended up having 2 each as they hit the spot just right. Cute little spot in a bustling social area! Hit them up.

Yelp
This place is so amazing. Wine, music, coffee! It has it all. The best part is the blind wine tasting to make an event out of coming. This place is so fun and such a vibe!
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
What a cute place for wine and coffee after dinner!!! Have been here twice and love the ambiance. The regular latte and the matcha latte are excellent. They give you a good portion for a glass of wine if you choose to order that too :)

Angela S.

Yelp
I went here right before a Music Hall concert. The vibe is hip and cool. The service was nice. The drinks were delicious! Highly recommend.

Eduardo S.

Yelp
The offerings are absolutely divine with excellent pairings with both coffee and non-caffeinated options; the inside is photo-worthy and choice of music is generally acceptable. Unfortunately, much of the luster of this swanky, cafe-bar hybrid is lost due to the confusingly poor service. The staff is unfriendly, manages to be non-communicative during the ordering process (which is quite a feat), and acts like the patrons are traffic cones to be weaved around. It is sad to see such a terrific menu go to waste at the hands of poor staffing and management, but this may only be an issue for repeat customers.

Yelp
Speedy service, the perfect ambiance for wine and cocktails, and lovely employees! This is my favorite coffee/wine bar in Cincinnati :) I recommend to everyone who comes from out of state to visit for great drinks

Emily C.

Yelp
This place might actually beat everyone else out as the best coffee shop in the area - and I am deeply brand loyal to Coffee Emporium! I have been on a quest to find the best iced oat milk latte in Cincinnati and this has officially come out on top. The coffee is so strong and smooth and you can truly taste the quality. The interior is so beautiful with lots of darker tones and a beautiful brick wall - perfect for the upcoming fall season! I live pretty far away from here but this will certainly become my top pick for when I'm in OTR.
google avatar

Yelp
Sometimes you just want to find a small corner, clear your head, and plug back into real people. This is that place! Showed up late night looking for a place to finish out the night. Guitarist was playing cool licks to a small crowd, the bartenders were happy to chat while they served the rest of the patrons, and we fell in love with the joint.
google avatar

Corey H.

Yelp
There are not coffee shops every two steps in this part of town, so we welcomed this spot. On the wall in the first part of the store is wine, then a bar, then at the back was the coffee part. It was a full coffee menu, with adequate coffee. The service was friendly and there were lots of tables to sit down at. The bar service doesn't start until 10 am. Funny!
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
This was, without a doubt, the coolest coffee shop I've been to. So cool, I had coffee and wine in the same visit. The 1215 is situated in a trendy area of Cincinnati, in the OTR district. There isn't a lot of seating space, but once you're in, you probably won't want to leave. I had the best white chocolate mocha I've ever had, and the staff was very friendly.
google avatar

Marisa C.

Yelp
I always tell myself I need to come here more and I really need to go more. This place is the definition of chill with a laidback comforting vibe. Whether you come here for a date, to work, talk business or sip on some wine and delicious coffee this is the place for you! You order at the cash register and then they bring your drink to you. I've gone here for wine tasting and to try their coffee, tea and boozy coffee beverages. All have been fantastic and aesthetically pleasing. I definitely recommend this spot to all and if you're a matcha lover their matcha latte is a must try! However if you bring a large group you may have trouble finding seats.
google avatar

Cassandra C.

Yelp
Initial impression was this is laid out terribly. The bar is in the back and everything is kind of smooshed together. We made our way to the back and got some coffee. Mine a cortadito and the bf got the sorry I don't remember the name but white chocolate and bourbon. Both were great and now the bf is adding bourbon to all his drinks... not that he needed help with that

Yelp
I love this cozy spot. It's a relaxed atmosphere with wonderful staff. I like to come here with a small group of friends for a wine flight or for a pre dinner drink. It's pretty quite in here- you could read, study or work here. I love their wine flight. They make it fun by doing a blind tasting where you can guess which wine is which on the menu of 3. On my most recent trip there with an out of town friend I had the Rye chai and he had the Irish coffee. Both were amazing and not too sweet. He said he wished there were spots like this in his hometown. I haven't had much food here but their hummus was the perfect thing to pair with wine while we waited on our dinner reservation. Give this romantic cozy spot a try for wine or coffee!

Yelp
Overall: Great local shop located in the heart of OTR with tasty, high quality coffee. + : This coffee shop was definitely a hit. There were many different types of pour-over coffee that could be brewed on the spot, and the coffee notes are listed in the description so you know exactly what you're getting. The building itself was very aesthetic - exposed brick walls, flower vase decor, and wooden tables - perfect for photography. For those who don't drink coffee, this shop had a great display of wine (some coffee drinks even included a mix of alcohol, a must try). To top it off, 1215 is located in the heart of OTR with many local shops and restaurants nearby, perfect for an all-day affair. - : The seating area was very limited. I arrived shortly after 9am, and within minutes the place was full. The tight space also made the shop a bit noisy, which could make it difficult to study/work. Aside from coffee and wine, there weren't a ton of food options. There were a few pastries in the front display, but if you're looking for a sweet companion to your coffee, this wouldn't be the place. Yelp
A cute and classy late-night coffee spot! We wanted a place to go after dinner that was not a bar and spotted this place across the street! Though they are technically a bar because they serve wine and other drinks, they are also a coffee shop and make some amazing lattes! I can't pass up the opportunity for a great latte. I had the Pale Ale Bourbon latte (can be purchased non-alcoholic) and it was so pretty I almost didn't want to drink it. My husband and I lounged here for about an hour, a waitress took our order and served us after we grabbed our own table. The atmosphere is pretty chill and casual, there was even a dude in there setting up his artwork at a table to sell (the only bummer was that he was taking 2 tables in a limited seating place and other people need tables at the time). If you go for wine, I was viewing their bottles and they are very affordable.
google avatar

Laura Z.

Yelp
TLDR: Cute little coffee/wine spot in OTR with a decent amount of table space and free WiFi The aesthetic of this place is very on point with the OTR vibe. There's the exposed brick and the wood-ier colors (see photos for reference). The window tables are a nice spot to do some work and drink some coffee. I ordered the lavender almond milk latte which was very smooth and on the sweeter side. You can taste a hint of the lavender, which is good because the taste of lavender can be overpowering at times and make whatever food item/beverage taste like soap. Only thing I didn't really like was how scattered the menu was (the bulk of it is written on a walk). I wish they had physical menus to peruse through because it was a little difficult to see what all they had to offer. Overall, a good spot to catch up on some work and for a good cup of coffee.
google avatar

Kylie S.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite place to stop in with some friends to catch up. I have never had a bad, or even slightly iffy, experience here. I've had coffee, wine flights, cocktails, and all of it has been great. I even took my grandma here and she liked it too! They do a great job of connecting with customers.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Great coffee and alcohol selection! The staff is super friendly also. We love coming here to work or even for a little date night. The charcuterie is perfect for a little light bite!
google avatar

Marley M.

Yelp
STOP what you are doing and go to this adorable coffee shop/bar. I had a strange craving for a hot chocolate and this little place far succeeded my expectations. Like, seriously, the best hot chocolate Ive ever had in my life. We stopped by twice while we were in town just to have it. My husband got tea both times and it was great as well. It's very casual with many customers in there doing work and reading. It's nice to get coffee at a coffee shop in something other than to-go cup like the big chains do. The barista (or bartender, I guess?) was making an espresso cocktail for some other customers and made too much- she asked us if we wanted the rest and it was delicious! We loved that she offered it to us. Everyone was so friendly.
google avatar

Alexis B.

Yelp
Small, charming wine and coffee bar in the heart of Over-The-Rhine! We visited Cincinnati this past weekend, and we had spent the afternoon exploring OTR and needed a break. We stopped in at 1215 for a couple of coffees (although I was very tempted by the wine flights)! A cortado for me and an americano. Both were great, and we enjoyed taking a break from exploring Cincinnati at this chill OTR spot.
google avatar

Carolyn B.

Yelp
This is a neat little place downtown where I met a friend. We got some wine which was pretty good. They did something pretty unique to me - they poured you three different smaller glasses of wine and you were to match up the wines to the descriptions. It was a lot of fun. I am not wine connoisseur, but I got them all right! They supposedly have good coffee, too.
google avatar

Tyler M.

Yelp
I came for coffee, but...well...you know how it goes. First you have a coffee....then everyone else around you is having wiiiine....then you get wine envy.... then the bartender makes eye contact.... and before you know it, a glass of wine is in front of you. That's what happened to me this week at 1215 Wine Bar & Coffee Lab. Let's start with the caffeine. I ordered the Losantiville pour-over iced coffee. Forewarning about ordering coffee at this place... the pour-over coffee's take about four minutes to prepare, mine took about eight. So definitely don't come in wanting a grab-and-go if you're in a rush. The coffee was fine, but after finishing, I decided I needed to mix my uppers with some downers, so I ordered a glass of wine. I sat at the bar working on my mac, listening to NPR, and sipping on a glass of rosé. I could hardly tolerate myself. I ordered the Ali Boit Boit et les 40 Buveurs rosé after I got wine envy from the person sitting next to me. The rosé tasted like bliss. I'm not a wino at all and couldn't muster a sophisticated description if I tried...but it was delightful. The staff is generally helpful, but could use a little work on being more welcoming and cheerful. A wine list is an intimidating menu for a non-wino, so a smiling face with eager recommendations would be a great addition to 1215. The staff currently puts off the "too-cool-for-school" coffee shop vibe. Service is par for the course, but I'm a fan of the product.
google avatar

Bailey M.

Yelp
1215 has such an aesthetically pleasing environment, very conducive for computer work or even catching up with old friends on a coffee date. I don't drink coffee, but their wines and teas are great. Staff is friendly and ready to help with suggestions as well! Highly recommend their peanut butter cookies in front of the register! Seriously SO delicious.
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
I love 1215! They are so helpful when helping you pick out something to try, whether wine or coffee. They aren't just knowledgeable but passionate and it shows in the service.
google avatar

Noah C.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I got some iced lattes with oat milk and they were some of the best we've had in a long time. Super nice location in the middle of OTR so will definitely have to stop by again.
google avatar

Ivet V.

Yelp
It was a chilly late night and came here to have something warm. The place was a little empty as it was about an hour or until closing time. Since there was almost no one there we were able to ask the barista a lot of questions about the different type of options. I finally decided on an expresso which was very delicious Nd he was able to make a design on it. The atmosphere was very chill and comfortable. i love coming here when there is not much of a crowd because you are able to enjoy the place so much better.
google avatar

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
This is my new go to coffee place in OTR. Lavender almond milk latte? Yes, Please. They have all of the variations you can imagine but I keep coming back because its the best coffee I've found downtown. Its a nice atmosphere but it can get busy because the coffe is great. I've been here for wine too also an excellent experience! The only thing I could wish for is that they delivered coffee to the dog park! (wink, wink)
google avatar

Yelp
Daytime review: great space, killer service, and tasty food and drink (mostly). Good for writing as well! As part of my summer weekly writing tour of Cincinnati, a friend and I decided to try this place. She had been there for an evening drink so she knew its inviting nature. I personally loved the wood work inside. I love older buildings and furniture because they make you feel connected to a history of experiences in a place. This space definitely had that effect. I also liked how they were dog friendly. Several folks brought them up to the outdoor seating space or even inside. I even took a picture of one who was too cute! I got a peach blend iced coffee. I didn't care for the taste plain so I (unsuccessfully) added (too much) simple syrup. My friend mentioned my mishap to one of the staff and she brought over more coffee to try to help. Unfortunately it turned out that I just didn't care for the coffee. I didn't end up drinking much in total. My friend on the other hand went full out blueberry themed for her tea and a scone. Both were amazing. Real blueberries (which is crucial to someone from Maine like me). The scone was nice and buttery too. Next time: going to go more conventional with my drink.

Yelp
What a cozy little spot to meet people! I swear I met a lady who looks just like Glenn Close. Haha! This place serves wine and cocktails in the front and has a separate coffee bar in the back. Space and tables are limited but its a good place to have a 1:1 meeting or a serious conversation because there are not many distractions and the space is intimate enough without being romantic if that makes sense. I've been a few times and both times my drinks were amazing and my conversations were deep and meaningful. I feel like this space helps to insure quality of conversations. Nothing but kudos to give! The bartenders and baristas are knowledgeable and engaging and there is good energy in this place. Not so humbly submitted, Michael C.

Yelp
This was the perfect place for an after dinner cappuccino with my hubby on date night. Service was great, fast, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the relaxed, welcoming feel of the place.. and our Irish coffee and maple cappuccino were delish.

Yelp
(4) ~ still very good;) MENU: ** Latte Breve = (4.25) Very creamy, b/c it uses half & half instead whole milk;) ** iced coffee = (4) very refreshing ** Water(tap) = (4) very good, must be filtered;)

Yelp
A very cute and chic chill outs spot in the middle of all of the hustle and bustle of OTR. They have a pretty good selection of wines, I wasn't a huge fan of the menu items so I asked for something else and she informed me that there was a full selection outside of the menu. The pours were nice but next time I think I will just buy the bottle ($20ish) vs spending $10 on one glass. Then I can have all I want! Not a wine drinker? No worries they have a large selection of coffee, tea and beer as well. They even have a small pastry/lunch selection so you don't go drinking on an empty stomach. Grab a seat at the bar or my personal fav by the window and sip and people watch the day/night away!

Shanti J.

Yelp
Understated, had everything I wanted at a good price without any weird uppity energy.

Dawit Y.

Yelp
Quiet place to bring a laptop and finish up on some work while enjoying a coffee. Enough seating. Great selection of coffee/bakeries available. The only thing I didn't enjoy is one of the women server was a bit rude. She always rolls her eyes when taking/making my coffee order. I always tip and smile when grabbing my coffee, so I don't understand why she has to express bothered/annoyed energy to me. My partner also has the same experience every time. Disappointing, because I actually prefer their drip coffee compared to the other near by coffee spots.
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
The inside is really aesthetically pleasing. Coffee is good but nothing special unless you decide to spike it. Lots of people working on their laptops on the weekday afternoon when I went. I had to sit at the bar which was fine, there is outdoor seating available too. Overall a nice place to stop by and get a drink if you're in OTR.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of 1215! Coffee, bourbon/whiskey, wine and desserts? What more could you want? Great spot for a late night drink. Or if you need a respite from the wild scene in OTR, pop in here for an Irish coffee and creme brulée. The selection is great. Wonderful, tasty coffees and plenty of alcoholic selections. The staff is friendly and quick. The ambiance is warm, intimate and friendly. You can have a quiet date here or get wine at the bar and make new friends. The desserts are amazing as well. Rich taste and perfect portions for sharing. Been here many times. Will continue to come!

Yelp
1215 is a lovely wine/coffee bar in OTR. It is right in the mix with all the big OTR names on Vine street - across the street from Senate, next to Bakersfield, down from Lackman bar, etc. I honestly never noticed it was there but I'm glad I had the chance to stop in on a sunny 70 degree day. First off, there are two tables for two outside on their sidewalk which was perfect for people watching and being in the hustle and bustle on Vine St. Inside there is a good sized bar and ample seating which is sometimes hard to find in a coffee/wine bar. The coffee menu is written up behind the coffee bar and the wine menu is printed and given by the bartender. I was there for a happy hour drinks, there were $2 off glass pours. I was looking for more guidance on what to order as I am not a big wine person but kind of just chose one that sounded like flavors I'd enjoy! Ended up being too sweet for my taste but oh well I'll try to ask more questions next time! We were in luck, there as a jazz band setting up while we were there, apparently they have live music Mondays and Tuesdays! Overall a pleasant experience and a nice place to go to have a chat or work on some work/homework over a glass of wine or coffee beverage. Hip and somewhat upscale feeling which adds to the jazzy ambiance. I'll be returning to try their coffee menu for sure!
