Yelp
Stopped at Folk on the way out of Detroit based on gluten free availability. The shop is super small and can seat maybe 15 or so people inside, and outside there are a few tables if it's nice enough out. We did want to dine in but there was over an hour wait on a Saturday morning. I did a to go order with an espresso based drink (large) and breakfast sandwich. It was rather pricey - about $35 after all the upgrades, BUT it was the best dang gluten free breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It was on gluten free bread with shaved ham and egg with a dipping sauce. I'm glad I don't live close to Folk because this would be an expensive sandwich to get often, but for a special treat I definitely recommend. Love that everything is farm to table and you can taste the freshness.

Yelp
Stayed in the corktown area of Detroit and found this place five minutes away from our Airbnb! So happy that when we walked there it was nice enough outside to have the option to sit outside! The interior was beautifully decorated and also seemed to have lots of merchandise on sale. The lady who we spoke to when we walked in came out to bring us menus and waters. We all grabbed some caffeine and I loved my miso caramel latte! Oatmilk is an option as well! We were told the biscuits are homemade which had me scouring the menu to get something with a biscuit! I tried the Biscuit Brekky and got bacon as a protein. Besides the homemade biscuit, it also came with an egg frittata and a salad. The bacon was really thick and I loved the flavor. I devoured this entire dish! The whole thing felt incredibly balanced with veggies, proteins, carbs, and fats. Really wish I knew what dressing was in the salad because it was refreshing! The bills came out automatically with a service charge for the tip which we were told about. You could pay the normal way with cash/card but they did have the QR code option as well which we all did. This was a really great stop for brunch and I'd be happy to eat here again! Truly hit the spot and get me satisfied the whole way back to the west side of the state. Worth a try if you're in need for brunch in this area!

Yelp
Yummy! My hubby and I came maybe a few years ago and enjoyed our meal then so we came back today since we were in the neighborhood. Based on the reviews, I decided to get the Vegan Crunch Wrap (So good!) & my hubby got the (regular) Crunch Wrap which he absolutely loved! The salsa verde is soo delicious (pretty good spice level, like a medium!). Yes, it does have a nice crunch (from the crispy tostada inside;) We were able to sit inside (maybe 7-8 small tables in their small indoor space). Service was excellent and I love all the products they sell! We will return soon! Thank you!

Yelp
Went to Folk for the first time last Sunday and I was blown away by the flavors and perfection of their food. Perfect balance of textures, citrus, salt, and protein. The service was great as well. My only complain is that the gluten free sandwich bread is WAY too small compared to the regular bread. I think you should get three slices for the whitefish open face sandwich. Otherwise, you really are not paying for the same thing. The pic of the gf sandwich is the one without onions. Can't wait to go back! The white fish sandwich was to die for!

Yelp
Returning to Folk on a weekend day morning and they are remain just as good. It was much quieter, and easier to grab a table in the very small restaurant. The space is cosy and bright, shelves with wine and books, big windows letting in light. The service is friendly and quick. They do offer wine and breakfast booze. I had a great coffee, my friend enjoyed her mimosa. We each had one of the basic breakfasts, each comes with a side of fresh greens. The thick cut bacon is fantastic as is the biscuit. If I had a complaint, the jam was very thin, the taste was great, but you could not spread it, we ended up dipping. The prices have gone up since my last visit, which they noted. Remains one of the best breakfast in Detroit.

Yelp
Folk is a quaint breakfast spot with friendly staff, a nice outdoor seating area, and a stylish interior. The menu is small and everything tasted very fresh. The espresso quality was solid and the latte was very flavorful. The crunchwrap and farm sammy were also very good and had great textures. The portions for the price, however are far too small.

Yelp
I've been by this place numerous times while shopping next door but first time stopping in. It's a small but inviting spot. I sat myself after grabbing a menu. Service was quick and food was good. I ordered the Everything sando and a chai latte. They offer local food items and a wide variety of wines for purchase. Give them a try. Just as a heads up - gratuity is added to your bill.

Yelp
A gem! Found on yelp-really yummy fresh healthy food. Prepared to perfection. Great snacks too!

Yelp
This spot is small, but absolutely beautiful. It's worth doing an early brunch with a reservation. I would not attempt to eat here on the weekends without one. I also think it's important to note that the inside (in my opinion) would not be comfortable for larger people for people with mobility aids. Especially when it's busy and people are in line to order. I got the BLT and a blueberry latte. Both were so good! The aioli on the BLT was so 10/10. The only thing I wish the latte came in a glass instead of a plastic cup. I also love all of the local products they have on display.

Yelp
Pricey but absolutely worth it. Crunchwrap is great, but I recently came for traditional brunch and it was amazing. My friend got the parfait and it looked exquisite. The Nosh plate is everything you could want on a morning plate: house made biscuit, jammy eggs, bacon, greens, cornichons, pickled onion. Make sure you get a reservation (and order up a seasonal coffee drink--they are so good!)

Dominic P.

Yelp
The gratuity is petty. I've been in the service industry for 20 plus years and if it's not full service, you need to eat that. Zero justification whatsoever. I can see a credit card charge for the credit card company but TIPS are voluntary and coffee should be like a bar drink, $1. Go use your Liberal Arts education for a career in something rather than a career barista. Thanks.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday morning, and the first and most prominent thing about this establishment is it's size.... it is tiny!!! We were greeted and sat ourselves at a small 2 person table, where we were quite literally elbow to elbow with adjacent customers eating. Now, outside of this school-cafeteria-level lack of space, Folk is pretty hipster and filled with expensive looking decor and cute items & packaged goods available to buy. NOTE: there is not a parking lot! I came here on a Sunday morning, and found this establishment to be cute but small. Small to the point you must be elbow to elbow with other customers!! Perhaps this was because I came at a busy time, but just know, you should expect to be in VERY close quarters during brunch time on weekends. If you're willing to put up with this very packed restaurant, this food was pretty darn good. I ordered their breakfast crunchwrap, it came with a small salsa, and it was delicious! This is the kind of restaurant where you order at the counter however they did still bring the food to our table. They include the gratuity in the bill- you should expect to pay around $20 per person here.

Yelp
Phenomenal food and service. We loved the attention to detail with our meal, pastry (coffee cake), and drinks. I loved my cappuccino. While my man prefers space, that simply isn't a priority to me. The table close next to us emptied before we ate our whole meal. I look forward to seeing a greater selection of wine by the glass and bottles to enjoy there (perhaps for a corkage fee). Excited to return for this high quality food.

Yelp
Was extremely disappointed in the experience had here. Having never been before I had no idea of what their process was to place an order or anything so my sister-in-law and I stood around for a moment before being acknowledged yet spoken to as if we knew what to do. Even after explaining it was our first time, the staffer didn't soften or apologize for the presumption. We reluctantly ordered beverages and stepped back outside to wait for them. A different staff person who observed our interaction came out and offered an apology while cleaning a recently vacated table. My order was received and my brother even went in, ordered and received his order. My sister-in-law eventually went back inside to find her drink order had been prepared and was just sitting in there. Needless to say I have no desire to return here. The second star is solely based on the apology that was given.

Yelp
Stopped in before a massage nextdoor for a coffee and breakfast. I noticed the music on their patio as I walked up although it's February. It felt intentional to set the ambiance from the moment you walk up. I sat at the bar because I dined solo and everything i observed was super clean and notably aligned with their values (highlighted goods for sale from woman owned businesses). My coffee was presented on a small serving plate and the flatware was beautiful - again, intentional. I enjoyed the waffle and it was brought out so fast and it was perfect. Light but also crispy and delicious. My entire dining experience was about :30 minutes which was much faster than I anticipated on a busy Sunday morning. They include a hospitality percentage at checkout and it appears it's a tip share model to provide balanced wages for the entire staff. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and was really impressed.

Yelp
Fresh, intimate, and progressive. The menu is seasonally inspired and gives one a lot to think about when selecting. The idea of the crunch wrap smote me. I mean, frittata, tostada, spicy jack, chipotle aioli, and salsa verde sound like a resounding YUM, and I guarantee that it was! I paired it with a masala chai. I should note that I modified the Crunch Wrap to be vegan. I appreciate their intentionality with their menu, pairing their food items with drink items so you can craft and enjoy a gastronomic experience! I also appreciate their mission and commitment to low food waste, which is an inspiring model for the food and beverage industry. I'm not that keen about the commitments restaurants or cafes are pledging, so I appreciate knowing that when I choose to support Folk, I'm not just giving my tastebuds a treat but also helping this cafe support a valiant mission. I also find their events are opportunities to weave community, so I recommend attending one.

Yelp
So yummy! Tiny place so be prepared to wait for a seat on the weekends, but worth it. You can order anything to go though. The biscuit brekky is delicious- a mini quiche, and yummy biscuit (and I added bacon). Everything tastes very farm to table. The ambience is nice and they have an assortment of preserves for sale. There are a couple cute stores nearby too.

Yelp
Fantastic atmosphere. Fantastic food. Fantastic people. Fantastic service. Loved their vegan options. Got a second order to take home as a "leftover" for lunch the next day. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
A chill eat and drink spot in Corktown. This place serves breakfast/brunch type offerings both sweet and savory along with coffee, teas, wines and cocktails. Inside and outside seating is available and there is an overall general store vibe. We ordered a biscuit brekky - comprised of small fritta like egg w/herb & butter, biscuit & rhubarb jam, two slices of bacon (extra cost) and some local greens. Drink selections included brown sugar spice latte w/ oat milk and iced blueberry flavored matcha tea latte w/ whole milk. The cost was pretty steep as the bacon was an additional cost and service charges are added automatically. Overall the meal was fresh and satisfied my appetite but was a bit underwhelming and the coffee and tea weren't as flavorful as they needed to be.

Yelp
A super cute market-cafe with lots of vegetarian options and a great mission to reduce food waste. Everything was delicious - waffle, farm sammie, and folk farm plate. The jam was incredible. Everything had the perfect amount of salt. I got delicious cornichons with my farm plate but the person next to me got a huge pile of truly amazing looking pickled carrots. The space is small (but bright and has super fun market items) and they are very strict about reservation start time (though not length). Service was great.

Yelp
Had such a lovely brunch at Folk. I love that it's in Corktown but off the main road so it's quiet and not overly crowded. I made a reservation online and reservations are for 90 minutes. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The space is small but cozy and creatively set up so it doesn't feel cramped. We ordered some mimosas, their daily pastry which was a chai coffee cake, and a chai latte for me! For our meals I got their farmers plate but instead of ham I asked for smoked tempeh which was done without an issue. My husband got their daily specials which was a waffle egg Sammie with smoked tempeh. We loved the food and loved that so many items come vegetarian or can be made vegetarian and even vegan. I also loved that they use all homemade things and reduce food waste. I bought some of their triple berry jam to take home! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Stars are for the pleasant service and ice ya I had exclusively. I've been to folk a few different times. During the week it's a lovely place to grab a slow bite and sip a fancy coffee. The patio is lovely. However, I'll skip the weekend. I ordered carry out. I was surprised to find a 20% mandatory tip added on. I wish restaurants would stop doing this. Just rise the price of your menu and note that yall pay a living wage. I support a living wage, I prefer it. I got the weekend special quiche -cheddar and chive. The price I was charged was different than the menu listed price. It was $1, so I kept it moving, it was busy and I'm not a AH. The quiche came with a side salad. Everything looked beautiful, but the SALT. All I tasted on the food was salt. Salad dressing included. It was an impressive level of saltiness that drowned out what were lovey flavors of the food.Everything was fresh and looked beautiful and the crust on the quiche was perfect, but the SALT. For 28 -including an iced tea - I expected better food. Next time I'll stick with what I know to be good, the waffle and jammy egg - which are delicious. Also. Even for carry out, it was about a 25 minute wait - which given that it was a brunch rush isn't unreasonable, but just plan for the time. Tables turn over quickly so probably better off sitting down.

Quick service, excellent food and nice location with natural sunlight. No complaints about this restaurant! I will definitely come back.

Yelp
A friend recommended this spot and I couldn't really wrap my head around the concept when looking at the website, so it wasn't super high on my list. That was silly and I'm so glad we ended up there sort of randomly after searching for a spot near Mink, where we were going later on that afternoon. There was plenty of street parking available when we arrived around 10 am on a Saturday. Seating inside is very limited, but luckily it wasn't busy yet and we were able to grab a cozy table near the window. Folk is a cafe + market concept that feels very big-city. I don't think I've ever been to a spot quite like this before. Our main focus was breakfast, so I ordered the miso caramel latte and kimchi melt with bacon, and Nate got a French press and the crunch wrap. The owner took our order and was very kind and helpful. It was fun to browse the market area of the shop while we waited. They stock unique and interesting gourmet products and ingredients from diverse providers. Each item had a placard indicating if the business is LGBTQIA owned, female owned, APPI owned, immigrant owned, Detroit based, etc. I really enjoy supporting these types of businesses, so this was great to see. We ended up getting some holiday gifts, like salmon chips and Momofuku chili oil. They also had tea, coffee, chocolate, cookbooks, olive oil, spices, candles, fancy salts, and more. I love cooking and food in general, so this was right up my alley. I always love when places have items I've never seen anywhere else as I tend to visit these specialty/gourmet shops whenever I can. Our food was brought out and it was presented nicely. The kimchi melt was gooey and delicious. I liked that the kimchi had a kick to it! It was pretty messy to eat but we were given the perfect amount of napkins. I do wish it maybe had a little more cheese, and next time I wouldn't spring for the bacon - it didn't need it. But overall I really liked this sandwich. Nate really loved the crunch wrap. They also have coolers with grab and go food items as well as beverages, fridge staples, and other treats. I'm so glad we checked out Folk and can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
Love love Folk!! This is such a gem in Corktown. First off, the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming here. I love the community feel and how many local businesses they support with the different adorable products on display. The food is amazing too, most recently I had the crunch wrap - this was sooo good. I paired it with an orange blossom cappuccino, but all their rotating specialty drinks look great. The space also has some fun goodies to browse while you are there. Definitely a lovely staple in Detroit!

Yelp
We stopped by for brunch one Sunday. I had the waffle, and my wife had a biscuit. The waffle was very good and the biscuit was very good. They sell candles, olive oil, cookbooks, and wines; kind of an odd assortment and most pretty expensive ($42 small candle). Very small inside, and you have to order at the register.

Yelp
Yum! A great place for vegetarians - the menu is very veggie forward, though there are options to add meat. I ordered the bahn mi - I actually thought it was vegan, but apparently not due to the aioli - it was delicious! The textures were perfect and the mushroom spread on top is divine. Perfect bread, so yummy. Mom had the roasted asparagus melt which was also fantastic and a little different. Everything was so fresh and yummy and all the food going by us looked amazing as well. They have really good coffee and tea and I look forward to returning. A great little patio in Corktown for a quiet bite.

Yelp
first time and will return. was in a wheelchair and received assistance. food was very good portions and fresh. brought home two take out orders and kids said it was excellent and they want to go! I will return..I was made to feel welcomed and comfortable...thank you Folk Detroit!!

Yelp
Great food (I got the Farm Plate), great service and the place is very cool inside. The shop has a lot of great stuff as well. Love this spot and will be back.

Yelp
Folk has a take out window, a few tables outside, and a few more tables inside. It is a very tight space inside. The tables are in the center and they have miscellaneous products on the shelf to buy. People do like to look around in the space. I ordered the vegan crunch wrap and a cold brew coffee. Coffee was good and the Crunchwrap was bomb.com (yes, I'm a millennial). It is a bit spicy, so I would not recommend if you do not enjoy spicy food. Lots of wine, beer, and N/A begs to choose from. They have pastries and the two times I have been they did not have vegan options for sweets. There was a bit of a wait for food (30 minutes), but they were quite busy. If you are looking for an intimate spot, this would not be a fit.
google avatar

Audrey L.

Yelp
Went to brunch with a friend this morning and it was my first time at Folk! I will be back. The restaurant is small but beautifully decorated. I love that a ton of their condiments, syrups, etc are made in house! I got the vegan crunch wrap and my friend had the regular crunch wrap. Both were fantastic and their salsa verde on the side was so yummy! The drinks are also tasty. All of the staff were helpful in answering questions and very pleasant!
google avatar

AJ C.

Yelp
I always bring friends and family here when they visit me! The food is fresh and ethically sourced. Even better - this place really cares about their community and employees. Great local business to support with really yummy food. They also have a little shop that has some great gifts for others or a treat for your own kitchen!

Yelp
Stumbled on this place one Monday morning and I think I found my new favorite breakfast place. This is a tiny place with a hipster vibe that is both a cafe and market. Only 8 tables inside but has outdoor seating as well. When I walked in, I was on the only customer but by the time I left, the place was half full and we were all talking because it was our first time there and the menu was so creative. The only people who are not in on the group conversation was a hipster couple that sat in the corner by themselves. If it is your first time here, it can be confusing. Mostly because the menu is so creative and requires explanation. The staff was extremely patient and friendly. The coffee is really good. I ordered the crunch wrap with a side of bacon. The bacon is thick cut and crispy. The crunch wrap is absolutely delightful. Comes with a side of salsa Verde, and although I typically don't like it, this was spot on. I can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu.
google avatar

Lindsay L.

Yelp
Folk is awesome. The food was amazing, everything sourced locally and you can tell. The staff was extremely friendly and brought the food out after you order inside. The inside and patio are both great. The food is pricey but worth it for the most part. The chai latte wasn't super flavorful but that happens at most places. I would go back for sure.
google avatar

S L.

Yelp
The breakfast is killer. The coffee is outstanding. I live 3 miles away but every morning, I seriously consider driving the 3 miles for an Americano. Thats not even what I normally drink. What kind of MKUltra brainwashing have they done to me? I went here one day on a whim and I was back the next day. Get out of my head, Folk! Also, love a cozy feel, love a counter ordering situation. Everything is very chill. Almost hate leaving this review because I want it all to myself.
google avatar

Rocky S.

Yelp
Tiny place. Mandatory tip... where you order at the counter. Over priced food, small portions. I wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Darian L.

Yelp
Cute, small restaurant. Food was good. Offers some shopping for cookbooks, cooking oil, etc. I would recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
So this teeny "cafe" is delicious but be prepared to pay $80 for you and your daughter to get drinks and coffee.. up charges on everything! Manhattan prices in Detroit. great.

Yelp
Saw this place had great reviews and thought we'd check it out as it was just a block away from our AirBnB. It did not disappoint! Delicious food and lovely service in such a cozy setting. I'm still thinking about the blueberry jam served with a biscuit that the chef just whipped up because they ran out of their usual jam. Highly recommend, especially if you are staying in Corktown!

Harold M.

Yelp
I came here as the restaurant at the Godfrey had just switched over to lunch service and was not able to accommodate us for breakfast. Am I so glad they did. I had the frittata, biscuit and bacon. This was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The food was tasty and fresh. Staff was very friendly and attentive; a great neighborhood spot. I also love the ambiance of the restaurant. Its small but cozy. I've found my new breakfast spot when I am back in the city.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday morning and everything was incredible! We walked in and sat at the bar, but I would recommend making a reservation because it is a small and busy place. It is so cute inside, and they have small business products to buy. We ordered the crunchwrap and the farmers sammie, which were both so good. We also ended up getting cinnamon chai coffee cake as well - SO good! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
*COVID19 Edition* Why haven't I heard of/eaten at this place before? This being one of the first nicer days of spring, we wanted to get some brunch somewhere with outdoor seating. Folk's reviews quickly caught my attention. When we got there, we ordered from the window outside and found ourselves a table. The staff was all properly masked, and they took extra care to sanitize the tables after customers had left. I was so impressed with the Cafe Miel (Cinnamon honey latte). I was concerned that it would be too sweet, but honestly, it was just perfect and hit the spot. My waffle breakfast sandwich was amazing, and I enjoyed every single bite. It was a bit heavier though, and I couldn't possibly finish it all in one sitting. We also ordered the pastrami sandwich and that was incredibly tasty as well. Overall, this place blew us away, and I left incredibly happy. The only thing I would add was that the price was a bit high. We did scratch our heads a bit at a $45 breakfast, but we also noticed that there was no tipping, and 18% gratuity had already been added. Just something to be aware of.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
Food is really good- it's in a very nice location. It's small and cozy. I will definitely be back
google avatar

Kaela K.

Yelp
Stopped in for a latte! It was $8 with oat milk and gratuity was already added, somewhat expensive for an item you can get most places. However, it was really good! The alcohol and oil/shopping area was incredibly cute.

Yelp
My first beef with this place is that they are quite expensive for what you get. In retrospect I feel I was ripped off on the tempeh waffle sandwich for $16, it's essentially carby wheat based cardboard sponge between two smashed and mushy waffles. My husband thought his BLT wasn't bad but not worth $12. It's a store and cafe combined. No dine-in available any longer. Window on Bagley Street to order food. Patio out front for dining for walk up after ordering. They give you your drinks after ordering, food is brought out to the table. Patrons are requested to clean up after eating. They make their own strawberry pop tart. They sell actual popsicles too. We ordered a lemon ginger drought juice $7.98, veggie frittata waffle sandwich with tempeh bacon, BLT, house dip and sweet potato crackers, and seasonal salad. The BLT was good. The tempeh frittata waffle was okay. Just a slight taste of the maple syrup. It was super bland and required some of their house made hot sauce to get it down. The seasonal salad is fresh and so-so, the dressing is thick and has some decent flavor to it. The house dip comes premade, cold and the potato crackers are bagged and not freshly made at all. The staff taking orders is friendly, accommodating and warm. The food to me was average.

Yelp
Best quiche I've ever eaten ! Amazing food! Small patio and dining room , was surprised by the amazing quality of the food here .
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
I was staying in the neighborhood and decided to pop in for coffee. I ended up also getting their breakfast crunchwrap - because who can resist that! The coffee was great and I loved the crunchwrap! It's a super cute space and everyone was very friendly. A cute patio to sit on outside, but no inside dining.
google avatar

Kali K.

Yelp
This cute little bodega style café is just a short walk from where we were staying in Corktown. I didn't get through looking at the menu much because I was distracted by the farmers breakfast sandwich, the very first thing on the menu, of course. While they were cooking our food, you were able to drink your coffee on the patio, or look through the provisions that they had inside, an awesome corner market for any knickknacks or wine for a special occasion or gift. I'm giving four stars because for $11, our breakfast sandwich could have given more, I would recommend some kind of greenery, preferably arugula on the breakfast sandwich, bacon as well. The woman that was taking our order seemed like she did not want to be at work that day, and kept rolling her eyes. I felt like a burden while ordering my breakfast sandwich. Otherwise a beautiful day and a cute corner shop, I would return if I had guests in town and wanted to do something special for them.

Yelp
Detroit is in the midst of a housing, restaurant and cultural resurgence and I was excited to get in early on the action. I'd researched and complied a list of restaurants prior to my trip. After landing in Detroit my hotel room wasn't ready for check-in. I left my luggage with the bellhop and beelined straight to Folk. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. Walking in the floral display hanging from the ceiling immediately caught my eye. It's a nice centerpiece for the restaurant and a work of art. It's a small restaurant probably seating fewer than 20 when at capacity. This was a Thursday morning, so it wasn't busy and had plenty of open seating. We were told to grab a seat wherever we'd like. It was a bright sunny day despite being a little chilly outside. We walked toward a small 4 seater blanketed by sunlight. The waitress quickly said the table was for groups of four. Ok, I guess. ..the place has 5 customers. We surely could've sat without incident. We started with the Mexican Chocolate & a Caramel Coffee. At $6 each I was expecting much more than watery cups of coffee. We added cream, but that didn't help. It was two of us, but we ordered three entrees. .. another reason we could've sat at the table. After doubling checking Yelp pics we shared the House Waffle, Warm Rice Bowl and the Ham & Cheese Croissant. The waffle is pleasing to the eye, but bone dry. I prefer crispy waffles, but the blueberry citrus butter couldn't salvage the texture. I flagged the waitress down to let her know we didn't like the waffle. We'd literally didn't finish a single square, having only a single bite each. She took the waffle away, but left it on bill :-! The sandwich was served refrigerator cold. Who wants a cold Ham & Cheese Croissant?? I asked the waitress if she could warm it up and she looked as if that was an outrageous request. She advised they have a small kitchen and don't have a way to warm. I'm happy they don't have microwaves because they have no place in a kitchen, however I would've been satisfied with them warming it in a hot pan. The only saving grace was the Warm Rice Bowl. Nice flavor and satisfying . The poached egg was prepared perfectly and melded with the other ingredients to make a sauce. I can't say that I'll ever have it again though, lol. I was completely turned off by the service and the way the bill was handled. I'm all for proper wages for restaurant staff, but don't impose a mandatory 20% tip if your staff isn't trained to deliver that level of service.
