I Love this Place!!! Great Prices, Food and Customer Service!!! Awesome Grilled Chicken Salad With Great Flavor!!! This Place Needs Longer Hours of Operation...! But, it’s Still The Best Small Deli Shop in the DMV Area!!!

If you want something quick and good to eat, come here! The staff is nice and the food is quite delicious.

Great little hole in the wall for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Can be busy sometimes cause everyone goes there but the food is good and not that expensive.

Turkey sausage egg and cheese croissant with fried onions & green peppers is amazing. I love the matriarchs that prepare my food.

I got steak and cheese combo. The taste is good, if u ever eaten steak n cheese at Ocean City's Boardwalk then this place is tasted better. They are very generous with French fried, I would say as much as super size fried at McDonald. Their Mombo sauce doesn't tasted like one. It is more like a ketchup BBQ sauce. A true Washingtonian would know what Mombo sauce supposed to taste like. The price was $7.99 for the combos (sandwich, big azz fried & can soda). Pretty cheap for amount of food u r getting. This is small place, so definitely is not meant for to u to sit and dine. Get ur food and bounce. It is pretty hot inside, I'm assuming the A/C is broken. The owner, the Korean lady's face was sweaty. She seems nice. The wait is not too bad. About 10 minutes wait for me since I didn't call ahead. Their menu is large, u should be able to find something to ur needs. Conclusion, this place is one of those places that u would return to eat there again.

Literally THE BEST CHICKEN SALAD you will ever eat at a carry-out. There's not a lot of frill and thrill on the outside or inside but the food packs a punch. Across the street from the old metro depot. There's street side parking and only a very small seating area with chairs inside and benches outside. Everyone is super friendly. I've been coming here for over 15 years and still loving it. The chicken is flavorful and it just leaves you feeling satisfied. They have lots of drink options as well. The 1/2 smokes are AMAZING as well. The inside is small but it's always clean and lit very well. I promise you, YOU WONT FIND A BETTER CHICKEN SALAD from a carry out.

I am reading this five stars not because it is anything special other than it's a real old timey snack bar where you can buy sandwiches of all different kinds as well as salads. They do great fried fish, and have kind of a soul food type of vibe. They're tuna salad I think is one of the most popular dishes that they serve. They are only open from Monday through Saturday in the mornings until 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 this is a popular place for bus drivers as well as local workers to sit down on the great picnic tables on the sidewalk and enjoy a freshly cooked meal at a great price. You can tell there a lot of regulars and devotees, is they come here often. This place has been around for well over 40 or maybe 50 years and is a real pillar in the community

perfect little neighborhood spot for a quick, reasonably priced, consistent bite. The staff is friendly and the food is great for what it is. i highly recommend.

This place is beyond filthy. I was asked to pick up a sandwich for my friend there today, but canceled my order once inside. Folks, we have to demand better from our local establishments. The floor, walls, ceiling, fridges, etc were so dirty, that I cannot believe that they have not been closed. For your safety, do not eat food from there until it is cleaned and revisited by the DC Health Dept!!!!

This is one of those no-frills, off the radar kind of places. I come here for lunch sometimes when I want something yummy and cheap. When I say cheap, I don't mean cheap for DC, I mean a grilled cheese is $1.92!! I love their tuna melts, half smokes and grilled cheese. My goal is to eventually try one of everything. Their menus is huge, and I'm not sure my arteries can handle eating here daily lol. I like how they serve east coast things like half smokes and scrapple. They food is cooked quickly and the ladies t the counter are friendly. This is more of an in and out type of place so don't come here it's a group if you want somewhere to sit. There are only 3 stools.

Great food, value, and serving size. Cannot go wrong. Daily stop when I was working downtown.

I'm a fireman in DC and whenever I work on Medic 24 on the 5100 block of Georgia Ave NW I love to stop in here if I can't catch breakfast at the firehouse. THIS PLACE IS DIRT CHEAP! And, the portions are great. I had a ham and cheese omelet, potatoes, sausage, and a drink for 7 bucks and I couldn't even finish it all. This isn't gourmet breakfast, it's down and dirty line cooking that delivers exactly what you asked for. -It's carry out only. -Cooks are really nice. -The place might be packed with municipal workers but it's really fast service.

I don't think its any way that you can go wrong when having lunch from the snack bar. It's a staple especially for government and metro workers uptown. My go to meal was the grilled chicken salad, never had anything like it before and til this day have yet to find any other salad to rival it. Disclaimer: this is not chicken salad its a salad topped with grilled chicken and other basic toppings, but its sooo good. Not a fan of the fried chicken wings, not much flavor if you ask me, but everything else is pretty solid. Oh yea and Mom's a sweetheart she'll look out for you.

Great neighborhood place. The breakfast is amazing serves tons of food for the price. For lunch the grilled chicken salad has yet to steer me wrong.

This is as good as it gets for quick, cheap, and close to my job. If you are in NW (Georgia ave/14th st), you should give this place a try. Because they are so busy during lunch time, I highly recommend you order your food and just pick it up. The spot is very small, so if you have three people in there plus you waiting for food, you will all die of "shoulder to shoulder touching". I ordered the salad with grilled chicken. It as soooo good that I found myself inhaling it as opposed to eating it. In addition, I also ordered fried whiting and potato wedges. The fish was tasty too, but who messes up fried whiting? Nobody. Give it a try, and you wont be disappointed. Lastly, there menu is fairly vast considering their tight work space.

Easy, fast and cheap. The food isn't anything to rave about, except for maybe the omelets, but the portion sizes are great for what you pay.

Ok carry out food only open for breakfast and lunch. I would recommend chicken salad.
