My wife, Lisa and I stayed with Jack, Annelise, and their 4- legged sidekick Juliet at their home on 15 Church Street and it was one of the best experiences we have had in Charleston in 30 years of visiting this beautiful city. The location is close to the waterfront and within walking distance of all the prime attractions in downtown Charleston. The house itself was beautiful and well maintained with some of the prettiest heartwood pine floors I’ve seen. Parking is off the street and convenient to the house. Breakfast served daily is outstanding with a variety of selections. I’m kind of a snob when it comes to grits, beer, and coffee. The grits were some of the best I’ve ever eaten…yes I know it’s a southern thing, but Annelise fixes them just right. The best part of the stay was Jack and Annelise makes their home feel like it’s your home and we felt very comfortable. Both are extremely knowledgeable of the history of the area and are locals of Charleston. We really enjoyed our conversations together and best of all, they invited our good friends, Mohammad and Lynn from the former 1837 B&B over for social hour. How is that for southern hospitality! We highly recommend 15 Church Street B&B with Jack, Annelise, and Juliet to anyone wishing for the true hospitality of Charleston. We can’t wait to visit again!

If you're looking for getaway to Charleston, look no further. My husband and I loved our stay at 15 Church Street B&B. The house is gorgeous and the location is perfect for walking to the many attractions of Charleston. Our room was comfortable, quiet and spacious and breakfast was delicious. I had the cheese grits casserole every day and I still think about it! The historic home and all of its accomodations are lovely, yet with a very cozy feel. The hosts are friendly and gracious, and did everything to create a wonderful stay for us. As first-time visitors to Charleston, we were happy to receive their restaurant and tour suggestions. We wouldn't hesitate to book this propery again.

We love staying here. Jack and Annalise are very welcoming and gracious, providing breakfast and a nice happy hour. Their house is lovely and feels like home. The location is convenient to enjoy the peninsula, but it is also nice and quiet for a peaceful night’s sleep.

The stay in the Blue Room was fantastic. The historic house is beautiful and has a great location. Jack and Annelise made us feel like part of their family. Their hospitality is unsurpassed. The 6 PM social hour and the breakfast that includes family recipes were enjoyable and delicious. I have found my go to place to stay in Charleston.

Jack and Annelise are the epitome of southern hospitality. Their home, 15 Church Street, was perfect for our anniversary trip. From the wonderful morning cup of coffee on the piazza, to the scrumptious breakfast and conversations about Charleston and suggestions on what to see and where to eat we could not have started our days off any better. Social hour each evening was a treat we looked forward to every day. We enjoyed our time socializing with drinks, cheese and crackers and amazing conversations that ranged from Charleston history, to life and everything in between. The location of 15 Church St was perfect as it was close to so much and walking distance to the park, battery, restaurants, local artisians and places to tour. Highly recommend staying with Jack and Annelise at 15 Church Street-it is the only way to truly enjoy Charleston and the amazing history!

From the moment we arrived, Annelise and Jack offered us the most gracious hospitality. The location was perfect to walk throughout historic Charleston. Annelise provided maps and recommendations as well as invaluable information about the area attractions. We especially enjoyed the wine, cheese and conversation on the piazza each afternoon. Honestly, we felt like we were staying with family! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and highly recommend this as a great place to stay, as well as a wonderful overall way to learn more about beautiful historic Charleston.

Staying at 15 Church Street made our first trip to Charleston truly memorable. After spending a great deal of time perusing various options, I reached out to Jack to see if he could accommodate us. He was incredibly kind, patient and considerate and took the time to walk me through each step of the booking process. In a world in which it seems such qualities are becoming rarer and rarer, I knew we had found our place in Charleston. From the moment we arrived, Jack and Annelise were the most gracious hosts. Their home is charming and welcoming, in a wonderfully quiet and historic area of the city. The highlight for us however, was spending time with Jack and Annelise (and of course their lovely dog and cat, Juliette and Dreamer). Every evening we looked forward to returning "home" for "social hour," and spent many lovely hours chatting with Annelise, in whom we found a wonderful kindred spirit. Jack and Annelise's hospitality is unrivalled and I feel incredibly lucky to have met such wonderful people. Because of them, Charleston is a place that will remain in our hearts for years to come.
