Our food at the 1540 Room was amazing, so flavorful and complex in flavor and technique. We really enjoyed the beets app and the steak tartare with the curated egg yolk. For mains, we had the duck breast and the steak. So delicious. Kelly was our server and he was informative and friendly!

I came here for Valentine’s Day with my wife and had an amazing experience. I ordered the Valentine’s Day special menu which consisted of lime and chile poached fish for a starter, duck leg confit as a main, and strawberry and cream tart for dessert. Every dish was plated to perfection and was delicious. The courses were also paired perfectly with four rose wines. Our server was very knowledgeable and provided excellent descriptions of the dishes and wines. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant!

Google
Kelly at the 1540 Room restaurant was attentive and had stellar recommendations for drink pairings with our dinner. The food was phenomenal. The chef even came out and helped us identify a song from his curated playlist. The bartender, the one they called the "Mad Professor", made us outstanding drinks (one which wasn't even in the menu but had been in the past). My husband and I had dined there as part of our honeymoon tour and we loved it. I can't recommend it enough. If you want an intimate experience that pulls on your heartstrings, you can't find a more emotionally moving experience than this. It IS the epitome of dining in Savannah.

Breakfast is so good. Avocado toast is huge and so filling. Dinner is great, too. Had the oysters and cornbread to start. I had the mushroom bolognes and my husband had the steak. Both were delicious. The drinks are a treat too. Def worthy of trying if you're in the area or just staying at the hotel.

1540 Room is incredible! A must dine experience! Chef Collin Clemons farm to table creations give life to your taste buds. We jumped in just for appetizers and drinks for the first time. The cocktails are creative and very tasty. All juices are squeezed fresh. The pork belly was fantastic. We also tried the grilled oysters. They melt in your mouth; so tender! The tahini was the best we’ve ever had. Kelly, our waiter was excellent and very friendly. Being first-timers to Savannah, he gave us many sightseeing recommendations and was very attentive. We would highly recommend 1540 Room to anyone wishing to have a very memorable experience.

Google
This stately room sets the expectation for the striking food and admirable wine selection. Couldn’t have ask for a more spectacular evening. Staff were on point with the tables interests and needs. The farm to table menu speaks for itself. Our taste buds were tantalized with each bite. I’ll yearn my return.

Google
The food was very good but it would be nice to have higher/better quality steak options. The homemade sourdough bread was outstanding, the shrimp cocktail was so good, and the homemade sauces are top notch. They offer non-alcoholic (very good) and alcoholic drink options and The Sholeh Zard Dessert was so unique and so good!

Google
This was my first trip to Savannah. Always look for the “best of” and indeed this spot lived up to the hype. The house made sour dough with habanero butter was devine. I started with the granita oysters which were so tasty, perfect balance. For my entree had the lamb sausage which was the best of all. Highly recommend 1540 and Trish who was helpful, on point, and really made the southern hospitality shine through.

Yelp
I popped into 1540 Room during my stay at The DeSoto. The restaurant staff was very friendly. The gentleman at the hostess stand was full of energy and suggestions and a really great start to my day. I came in for breakfast before heading out for the day and they offer quite a few filling breakfast options. I had the avocado toast that's topped with as egg, spinach, and tomatoes. So delicious and it carried me at least until lunch. I also stopped in before leaving and picked-up breakfast to-go. The smoked salmon and toasted bagel with accruements were perfect to eat on my way to the airport. Overall, 1540 Room is a good option for breakfast or if you just don't feel like venturing outside of the hotel to find food.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Cauliflower app, oysters, beets, and pasta were all good. The place is very nice and spacious inside. I would def recommend.

Yelp
The 1540 room is an open air restaurant in the Desoto Hotel. Waters are attentive and very helpful. Excellent extensive wine collection which has been awarded by Wine Spectator. The raw oyster appetizer was excellent. The steak tartare was one of the best I have had. We both got the catch of the day which was pan-fried snapper on a bed of fall vegetables-excellently done. If you want a special meal while in Savannah, check out the 1540 Room!

Yelp
We went here for my husband's birthday and the restaurant is beautiful. I enjoyed the mentioned his birthday as that was in the reservation. We had the pork chop and the steak and both were very good. I appreciated that they allowed a substitution of potatoes for the grits. The service was a little slow but it appeared they may have been short staffed as the server we had seemed to be performing several roles. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Great flavors from locally source ingredients, low music and lighting, and something for just about everyone on the menu. We came here for my birthday dinner through a reservation. We parked valet because they validate the parking (so if you eat before a Johnny Mercer theater show for example, it's a good place to park and eat). 1540 Manhattan - smooth. A solid cocktail choice. She asked my Bourbon choice but I would have wanted a list of there were many. Table bread - sadly no gluten-free bread option. Comes with two thick slices with butter already spread on them. Alex said the bread might be undercooked. Whipped Tahini - definitely an appetizer to share. It comes with a LOT of tahini. I liked this. Beets - came with 3 beer wedges with various toppings. I'm not usually a fan of beets. The toppings didn't add much for me but I liked them with the tahini! For mains: Confit Duck Leg - my favorite was the gluten-free red corn grit cake. It is like a crispy polenta but with a chunkier rather than gritty texture. If it could be crisper, it would be phenomenal. I loved the edges for that reason. The duck leg was a little dry but the greens and hot (read: spicy) honey balance it out. The flavor was great on the duck though. Pork Chop - huge! It came with sweet potatoes, a little salad side, and a little puree underneath. Alex wishes there was a sauce rather than a puree. Dessert: Meringue - the gluten-free options was this, the Sholeh Zard (kind of rice pudding) or ice cream. I needed something light after eating so much so went with the meringue. The meringue bigger than I thought it would be. I loved that and the raspberry topping. Our waiter told us it was made from the duck egg whites where the duck egg yolks are used in other dishes. Cool! Our waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and gluten-free options.

Yelp
Excellent old fashion drink and a pineapple upside down cake drink. Atmosphere was beautiful and the staff pleasant. It's located inside the DeSoto hotel.

Yelp
Outstanding! We were staying at the hotel for a business conference and had a personal meal, a business buffet meal, and a business plated dinner. It was all amazing! I tried steak tartar for the first time and was so pleasantly surprised. The chicken was insanely perfect. The baked meringue was wonderful with the persimmon curd. And if you want an indulgent drink dessert, the peanut butter chocolate old fashioned is life changing. It was the talk of the conference! Thank you for your talents! Enjoy!

Yelp
This was one of the few experiences that I've had where everything I tried at a restaurant was delicious! I visited this restaurant as a group of 7. We ordered a few different appetizers to share, and for the most part we each ordered a different entree and tried bites of each other's food. I'm really not exaggerating when I say that everything I tried was good. The menu was not something I would traditionally go for, but I'm so glad we decided to try it out. I also enjoyed how knowledgeable and enthusiastic the server was about the menu and culture of the restaurant. The bartender even came over to our table personally to give his recommendations! If you're ever in Savannah, I definitely recommend 1540 Room!

Yelp
Went for a birthday celebration. Did not meet our expectations. Underwhelmed with food and service for the price.

Yelp
My family and I decided to go to the 1540 Room pretty last minute due to some reservation issues with our original plan, but we still wanted a nice dinner to celebrate my brother's birthday. We had no prior experience or knowledge of the restaurant and were extremely pleased with our experience. For starters, the entire staff was incredibly nice. Our waitress and the host were welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive. Not once did we have to wait for a refill of water or an offer of another drink. Our empty plates were cleared quickly, our dirty utensils were replaced between each course without us asking, and the staff were very understanding and engaged with us. The bartender was also very kind, charismatic, and excellent at his job. All our drinks that night were fabulous. My mother ordered a Manhattan and told our waitress it was the best Manhattan she'd ever had. Our bartender brought her second drink with an extra special brûléed cherry on top as a small thank you for the compliment. This small gesture absolutely warmed our hearts and made the experience even better. My brother even received a free unique birthday cocktail as a celebratory treat, which was unexpected and truly appreciated. He said it was delicious. As for the food, it was immaculate. Our waitress explained that the ingredients are fresh and sourced directly from local farms. We were given free house made bread with a house made whipped butter. It was soft and flavorful and a an amazing warm, savory treat to start with. We ordered two appetizers: whipped tahini and shishito peppers. Both had such great taste. For mains, we had the ginger saffron chicken, coulette steak, merguez lamb sausages, and the local catch of grouper. All of which had unique flavors and were insanely tasty. Needless to say, all the plates were cleared, and we'd recommend all the dishes we had. For dessert, we decided on the seasonal berry tart, which was one of the most delicious plates we had. It was just absolutely perfect. Overall, this was the best experience we've had during our entire trip to Savannah. This restaurant will forever be a staple in our family visits, and we had such an amazing experience that we're still talking about it hours later.

Yelp
Make a reservation while you can! The chef is a rising star. We were visiting Savannah for a week and enjoyed many of the top restaurants and bars. A friend of ours mentioned the 1540 Room and said we must try the steak tartar. I haven't had steak tartar in years and I was intrigued that a young chef would take on this classic dish. It was amazing! Topping the tartar is a house made marinated duck yoke that pares perfectly with the hand cut, locally sourced beef. Im sorry I missed taking a photo because the presentation was so much fun I forgot. My husband and I selected wines by the glass. Our server Kelly has a beyond typical knowledge of the wine list and excellent service skills. You can tell he is a professional from the moment you enter the dining room. After our steak tartar experience, we shared an autumn salad with smoked beets and butternut squash, yum. For our mains we had the homemade lamb sausage with couscous and the roast duck. Both were locally sourced, home made sausages and delicious. For desert Kelly suggested a glass of sparkling to pair with our Housemaid meringue, ice cream and topped with a fresh peach sauce. This was the end to a perfect evening and the highlight of our trip. We look forward to returning to see what the chef is planning next.

Yelp
This might look like your average hotel restaurant but its a true highend dining experience. Its all about the Chef. They got it right. Steak tartare was spiced perfectly and the marinated egg yolk on top...awesome. We've had tartare in many other restaurants but this was the best since Paris. If you've never had it...try it here 1st. Wreck fish was seared perfectly on a bed of farro, a great companion of texture and flavor. The lamb sausage was also a savory treat. We let the server pair our wine after telling him our varietal choice and he hit a home run! (think it was Kelly). We WILL be returning

Yelp
We recently had a great experience at the 1540 room. Chef Colin has been making a good name for himself this year in Savannah and his food lived up to the hype. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, one of the prettiest dining rooms in the city that I have experienced. We were greeted by the General Manager, Andrew, who welcomed us in and took us on a tour of the menu. We started with the raw oysters, which were fabulous. Some of the best I've had, although not from the area. The mignonette was a great paring. For the entree we had the Roasted hen and the Turkish manti. I expected a lot more out of the Turkish manti, it wasn't very delicious and the sauce base it was served in wasn't complimenting it well either. Wouldn't order that dish again. However, the roasted hen was one of the best dishes I've had this season in Savannah. Probably one of the best cooked hens I have enjoyed and the seasoning was to perfection. The curry sauce was delicious that pared with it. Overall the experience was outstanding and I can not wait to come back and try new things out on the menu!

Yelp
Service was good but the food was awful. Beer selections are super limited. Ambiance is good and it is in a good location.
google avatar

Yelp
I ended up coming here for a private event so I wasn't able to experience the restaurant part. But we did get a sample of the food and it was amazing! We had everything from tarts to lamb and salmon. The atmosphere was cozy and everything was beautiful. I would definitely come back!
google avatar

Liza N.

Yelp
Food was great, ambience was excellent, and the front desk was amazing telling us stories about the history of the architecture of the restaurant. The waitress was very nice and courteous and the food came out in a timely manner.

Yelp
Nice place, great food. I only wish there were some plants or wall art or any kind of decor to break just the room, chairs and tables. However, the food is really good!

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this place! Located inside a hotel, do not sleep on this place! A farm to table style restaurant with an open kitchen and everything is made from scratch. It's a unique menu as the chef is pulling in different dishes/flavors from different regions, but they are phenomenal! I wanted to try everything on the menu! Also a pretty extensive wine menu (by glass and bottle -bottle they had a great selection of varied prices and styles). Several cocktails and beer as well! Service was great! I know they are still a bit short staffed, but our waters were never empty, and the food came out quickly! Our server Kelly was very personable and made our time there very enjoyable! We ordered: Hummus ($12) - while this may sound pretty basic, the hummus was fantastic. A lot of different flavors and the pita came out hot and fresh! Recommend! Merguez ($29) - phenomenal and complex! The sauce was delicious and the lamb sausage was very fresh and cooked perfectly. The cilantro on top is the perfect touch to balance all the flavors out! Highly recommend! Turkish Manti ($26) - while it's called a ravioli, it is pretty similar to a dumpling size and shape. Stuffed with lamb and covered in a type of tomato sauce with the garlic yogurt to add creaminess. Fantastic and also highly recommend! The portions were perfect, we left stuffed! We thoroughly enjoyed the freshness of everything and how unique the dishes were! Add this to your list of Savannah restaurants to visit!

Robert B.

Yelp
Not impressed at all! Saw this amazing photo of a lamb shank and was really looking forward to our visit. Unfortunately, there was nothing close to as nice on their menu when we visited. They honestly ruined our orders of oysters by trying to make them all froufrou by drowning them in some prickly pear sauce, so that you couldn't even taste the tiny little oysters. Very overpriced and over hyped. We were also the only people in the restaurant the entire time we ate our dinner. Not exactly a sign of a popular restaurant or of returning guest.
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
Farm to table food and talented wait staff. Flavors are exceptional. Ate there both nights I stayed at the De Soto and not disappointed. My broccolini was charred, but they quickly replaced it.
google avatar

Nora B.

Yelp
Wow, our dinner at the 1540 Room was excellent, and I truly don't understand how this place is not popular! What a hidden gem. With our group of 8 we tried many of the cocktails, appetizers and entrees, and desserts and everyone loved their dishes. I am still thinking about the cornbread! Our server Kelly did a wonderful job giving us context on the food and background of the restaurant and was a delight. By far best meal we had on our trip to Savannah. Don't miss!!
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
We had a really lovely meal here! Interesting flavor profiles and combos. Tried the cauliflower and baba ghanoush appetizers- both lovely. Hubby hesitated on the baba ghanoush because he doesn't like eggplant but he was almost licking the plate in the end. He raved about the complex flavors in the lamb sausage dish and the shrimp dish was quite nice, local, just a smidge fishy. Desserts were phenomenal- not sure which was better between the semolina cake and the eggnog and bourbon ice cream, but also fabulous! And a nice tea selection. Waitress Lori was super fab. Great restaurant, we would go back again if we lived here.
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
We will be back! We came for the holiday Cornish hen, but left happier than ever. Our experience was crafted by the general manager as he told us the story of the restaurant and how the dishes all came together. We throughly enjoyed our hen, but the lamb meal we ordered was not good. Maybe an off night? However, when your service is impeccable and the oysters and every other dish are on point you can have a mess up. Seriously, the dining room is stunning and belongs in a magazine, the chairs are ergonomic and comfortable to dine in, and the overall experience left me wanting more!

Joel A.

Yelp
Tucked away in the Drayton hotel the chef is back. Fine service and the best lamb shoulder in Savannah. Good drinks, a spacious dining room, and valet parking. Looking forward to chefs inspirations in changing seasonal menu.

Yelp
One of the top 4 meals I have ever had! This place is new and amazing is an absolute must visit on any Savannah trip or if you are a local! Come in and ask for Kelly as your waiter he is a sommelier and is super knowledgeable about the entire menu we got the absolute best service and the food was absolutely amazing our entire table got different dishes but the steak and the duck were particularly amazing and the steak tartare was some of the best that I have ever had! I highly recommend this establishment it had a great atmosphere art and music selection. It also has an open kitchen so you can watch and smell the food being prepared!
google avatar

April Y.

Yelp
I loved our dinner. Food is fresh, unique, and tasty. So were the cocktails and dessert. Bonus was the slice of butter bread!! I didn't realize how much I enjoy a slice of fresh, yummy bread with fresh, soft butter. Such a wonderful touch!! Definitely give this place a try!!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a fantastic place for dinner. The room is almost like a ballroom. Our server, Kelly, was outstanding. He knew the menu and what we should be looking at for our dinners. My wife went with the linguini and clams which had a squid ink shell over it. The pasta was made in house and the clams were fresh. I went with the lamb dumplings. Just an awesome meal. The tomato sauce mixed with the yogurt meshed well with the lamb. We will be going back when we return to Savannah.

Yelp
Reservations accepted through OpenTable. We started with the champagne drink, which tasted kinda flat- no fizz! For the appetizer, I got the Foie and Waffles- I was really excited to try this but it had way too much syrup. I have a big sugar tooth but I couldn't taste anything else except the syrup. My friend got the She crab soup and really liked it. I got the Stuffed Pork Tenderloin Wrapped With Prosciutto but again the entrée had too much sauce, I wasn't a fan! My friend said the Duck Confit was good but he wasn't satisfied with the portion size. Lastly, the dessert - Alabama Lane Sundae was average, the brownie wasn't rich like I had expected it to be. The service was slow and our server didn't seem happy with us, maybe because we sat there for too long talking but when I tried to call and get water from her, she ignored me. I was expecting a better experience after reading all the other reviews but I didn't leave feeling happy about the meal and the price I paid for it.

Colleen J.

Yelp
Stopped in late to get a beverage after local music event. Bar staff were very cordial and happy to help with cocktail selections even for me as the "DD". Great selections with no alcohol.

Yelp
Caution: Everything about 1540 Room has recently changed. It would no longer qualify as being an Italian restaurant. They've removed all of the Italian from their menu, which menu is now completely different. So what is it now? Kind of tough to say but I'd call it Modern Savannah, concentrated on regionally fresh ingredients in that it has offering such as Scallops & Pork Belly, Savannah River Pork Shank, Petite Filet, Ribeye, skillet pot pies, ox tail stew, & etc. 1540 Room is rather impressive with its near 20 foot high ceilings, understatedly elegant clean lines of décor and open views of the kitchen. All in all, very impressive along with a pleasantly polite professional wait staff. For my meal I went for their seared scallops and pork belly with an Edgar's Bourbon honey glaze on a Georgia sweet corn puree which I must say was outstanding. Perfect in taste, flavor and texture along with be served in a distinct presentation. I recommend it as the richness of the pork belly flavor and glaze paired so perfectly well together making it a truly outstanding dish. My boyfriend of the day (wink) had their Chicken Skillet Pot Pie which was of course was served right in the cast iron skillet. To my taste, it couldn't have been better as it was so perfectly enhanced with a distinctively fresh vegetable medley. Then as a pleasant surprised the place is not so ghastly expensive. My scallops were only $30 and boyfriend's chicken pie a mere $22.

Gina U.

Yelp
Probably one of the best under rated restaurants in Savannah. I'm a foodie so I wanted to try it. My guess is people look at the menu and don't understand the ingredients and chose something else. I'm here to tell you, just GO! Beyond the gorgeous sexy decor, amazing cocktails and impeccable service, the food is incredibly fresh and high quality. Top notch ingredients, thoughtful combinations of flavors/spices. Just go! Order a few starters and entrees and share. Taste as much as you can and you will get to experience a taste that you can't put words to. Makes sense that it's difficult to articulate/communicate the deliciousness this menu has to offer. Just go! Try as much as your wallet can afford and enjoy! You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Y'all RUN DONT WALK to 1540 room!!! Truly some of the best food I've ever had. I cannot fathom how they are completely booked up with a line out the door. The chef is incredible and our waiter Kelly made the experience over the top. We love Kelly!!! The food is so amazing with fresh farm to table and wonderful spices. I mean I am going to have dreams about this place when I go home. They take reservations on Resy!!

Greg W.

Yelp
Unbelievable food, exceptional service (Kelly), fantastic drinks. As a foodie, this is difficult to say, but this was one of the best meals I have ever had. The lamb sausage, hand-made on the premises, was wonderful. This place is Savannah's best-kept secret.

Lauren C.

Yelp
This place was amazing. I only took a photo of our oyster appetizer but they were incredible. I had the mahi and my husband had the pork shank, which were both great. We came here to celebrate our marriage two days prior and were greeted with champagne. Everyone from the owner to the hostess to our server, Kelly, were wonderful. Kelly took the time to explain all of the food items and wine, and knew everything about the menu. We went to some of the restaurants on the "best in Savannah" lists but this one was our favorite by far.
google avatar

Susan T.

Yelp
We saw that the chef was named best in Savannah and were tired of restaurants offering the same menu items. This met and exceeded our expectations. I hesitated because it's in a hotel, but service was awesome, food was amazing, and the wine list rocked. Manager was so knowledgeable about the wines, we could have talked with him all night.
google avatar

Meg R.

Yelp
Great experience! 1540 Room has all the bells and whistles for a nice date night dinner in Savannah. My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary, and everything was delicious! The interior is very elegant, and the service was delightful! I love that the menu has a farm to table vibe. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get, and the plates are just the right sizes to share. We ordered the Beef Tartare, the Cheese Plate, Mussels Diavola, and the Quail Roulade. It was plentyyyy of food for just two people! I loved every single one of these dishes, but my favorite was probably the quail, which was stuffed with pepperoni and served with polenta- yum! 1540 Room is officially on my list of favorite *fancy dinner* spots in Savannah!
google avatar

Josh M.

Yelp
The restaurant looked very nice inside and our service was great. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing.

Bailey T.

Yelp
Inside hotel, beautiful venue, great ambience, great service, staff was professional. Food great. We were here for girls' trip and shared several appetizers followed by main dishes. Steak tartare was smoked and very tasty. Buttered bread was yummy. Hummus was okay but that was because everything else was so good. Oysters raw and cooked were okay, but due to them being so small. Guess beginning of the season so they were small. Pork chop was huge. Duck confit was delish as was the fish. A lot do wine selections. Overall would return. Def recommend
google avatar

Jenny N.

Yelp
Service was great. The breads in the beginning were a nice touch-- cornbread and jalapeño butter together was delicious! The restaurant is stunning. My dinner was plated beautifully, but sadly, I wasn't blown away by their duck confit. The meat was weirdly dry for something that was supposed to have been slow cooked in its own fat. It also needed salt. I get the crunchy element of the onion rings, but the whole dish just didn't come together well. With all that said, the 1540 is probably one of the best restaurants I've seen in a mid-level hotel as far as atmosphere, decor, menu and price. I was impressed.

Ariel L.

Yelp
1540 Room should be included in "the must to do in Savannah" guides. This restaurant is one of those unusual gems that you find but want the whole world to know about. This says the website of the restaurant. "Welcome to the 1540 Room located inside The DeSoto, where you'll explore a world accented with smoke, spice and delight. A lively dining room with an open kitchen features Lowcountry sourced, farm-to-table dishes, including a unique collection of wines--curated by the dynamic duo of Chef de Cuisine, Collin Clemons and General Manager, Andrew Noye." And that's exactly what you get, without the fanfare or arrogance, plus excellent service and atmosphere. This restaurant should already be in the top 5 in Savanah.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
We have tried to eat here twice, I am not sure what it is about this place because the interior is amazing... and regardless of how great the food was, I felt like I was in a cafeteria. With a completely crappy wine list. Something has got to give and I can't seem to put my finger on it.
google avatar

W L.

Yelp
This restaurant deserves more recognition and more customers, more local customers, and more neighborhood customers. I think most of us think that a restaurant inside a hotel is just a simple restaurant for tourists, but this is NOT the case. Warm and welcoming decor, simple but elegant, music at the right level, our server Kelly is entertaining, informative, and incredibly talented at her craft, but most importantly (at least for me) fantastic food. Farm-to-table style, internationally-inspired dishes, classic dishes with a modern twist, a very good wine list, and WITHOUT the pretensions of other "famous" restaurants in town, it really does deliver on what they advertise.
google avatar

Colin K.

Yelp
Really impressed with the Middle Eastern Flavors. Pork torstilla was absurdly good. Portion sizes were on point in my opinion.

Erin C.

Yelp
Definitely a different experience, but in a good way! Everything was so well thought out, made from scratch, and tasted amazing. I recommend the cornbread with smoked peach purée and habanada pepper butter as a starter. The staff were super friendly - our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food (and wine ) and the whole process behind the restaurant itself. I really liked the look and feel of the place. It's not a very large space, but feels elegant and inviting. The kitchen is an open concept kitchen, so you can watch the chefs do what they do best. We wanted a nice evening out during our vacation and are so glad we went to 1540 Room.
google avatar

Alexander W.

Yelp
The 1540 experience was incredible. The food was fantastic but our server Kelley was an integral part of it explaining the hotel's history, the chef's influences and spot on recommendations. If you're in the area, you must go.
google avatar

Vikas N.

Yelp
An elegant setting with perfectly cooked and seasoned food and an equally impressive selection of beverages.

Yelp
Slow service, empty water glasses. my meal was served cold. As the place was empty when we arrived, there really was no excuse for waiting an hour for our food. Very disappointing .

Yelp
We had a fabulous Christmas Eve dinner tonight. Kelly was our server and he was wonderful. The menu is so interesting, dishes are expertly crafted, the cocktails are on point and the wine list is fabulous. The dining room is gorgeous too. It's also reasonably priced. We will be back. One of the best places in Sav!

Yelp
BEST RESTAURANT IN SAVANNAH! (We are here after Cotton & Rye and The Grey). We started with the Ceviche & Cast Iron Octopus. They were divine!! The rice with the Octopus was out of this world! Then we had three of the handmade pastas (ricotta agnolotti , braised beef tortelloni, & rabbit tortellini). The rabbit tortellini had a Parmesan foam, was surrounded by rabbit juice and had rabbit inside and out! All three were INSANE!! So good!! We finished with the honey/white chocolate dessert. It was perfect.
