Visited 1559 AD near Fateh Sagar Lake recently, and the overall experience was quite good. The ambience is charming and peaceful — perfect for a relaxed meal in Udaipur. The taste of the food was amazing, especially the traditional flavors which were well-prepared and satisfying. It was nice to see that the service has improved, but there’s still some room for better guest hospitality. The food service started early, which we appreciated, but it was left idle midway — this felt a bit out of place and not in line with the warm guest culture one expects here. That said, the setting, food quality, and overall vibe made it a pleasant experience. Would definitely consider visiting again, hoping for more attentive service next time.

This restaurant was in our checklist. On the very first day we went here for dinner Nice ambience, well maintained property equivalent to a fine dining restaurant. Best for the romantic soothing candel light dinner with the slow live music We order spring roll, sunset mocktail, and red thai curry with rice Service was fast and upto expectations, rates were according to the service and the food was too amazing i loved the vibe here

Cool restaurant very close to Fateh sagar lake. The ambience is great, especially post sunset. Service is great and all staff are very polite and humble. Food - not great and there are many restaurants serving more delicious food and that too, at cheaper prices. We ordered for pizza and the base was super hard and we had to send it back only to hear back that there were some issues with bakery on that day! They replaced the pizza but it tasted equally horrible. Other couple of items we had was good but definitely not great at all.

We visited 1559 AD for lunch on 24th June. Set in a heritage property, the place has a serene atmosphere and old-world charm that makes for a pleasant dining experience. The staff was courteous, and the restaurant offers a wide multi-cuisine menu, though we found it slightly overpriced, especially the mocktails. We ordered a Rajasthani Veg Thali, a pizza, and mocktails. While the presentation was appealing, the mocktails didn’t quite justify their price. The pizza looked good, but my son, who had it, felt it was overloaded with cheese and didn’t enjoy the crust. The biggest letdown was the Rajasthani Thali. It came with only one chapati and no rice, which was surprising—especially for an Indian meal where rice is a staple, particularly with dishes like kadhi. Being from Chandigarh, kadhi-chawal is a must for me, and the thali just didn’t feel complete. We were informed that only one chapati is served if the thali is shared, and we had to pay extra for more, which felt unreasonable. That said, the churma ladoo was excellent and truly stood out. Overall, while the ambiance is nice, the experience felt overrated for the price.

Food and ambience was good, service fast. Vast variety of veg kebabs and side dishes. Veg biryani was so-so. Buttermilk was tasty.

A must visit if you are in Agra. Food and service were both excellent. Outside area is also a great option for dining. Highly recommended.

Everything about this restaurant was top notch. The ambience both indoors and outdoors was amazing. We had a family dinner during our trip to Udaipur in Apr 2025 , we chose the outdoor lawn seating as it had live instrumental music which elevated our experience. Coming to food, both taste and serving size was excellent. Highly recommend the Thai curry, Penne Pasta, Chicken Biryani, Fish finger. Service was professional and superb. The restaurant is definitely must try if you visit Udaipur. Overall it costed us 6500₹ for 6people.
