The hotel Was lovely, clean and well appointed. Staff was very friendly and professional. The location is great for walking to restaurants, And shops. It is also very convenient to the Camden Snowbowl. My only complaint would be the noise both Friday and Saturday night. We had a harbor view room which also is on the parking lot where dinner/bar patrons park. The noise level both nights between 12:00-1:00am was enough to wake us up and keep us up. Sunday night was perfect, no late night noise. If you can avoid a weekend stay, I would recommend that.

Upon arrival, we immediately felt welcomed. Nick was the desk clerk and he was just amazing throughout our entire stay. We had a small internet problem the first night and the staff went above and beyond measure to correct it. The hotel gave us a small discount when we checked out for our inconvenience. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a balcony room. Our view was like looking at a postcard and our room was so very comfortable. The hotel provided "real" coffee cups and glass water and wine glasses. They also provided a large bottle of water in our room and comfortable robes. The furnishings and decor was just simply perfect, mixing old world design with modern. The hotel is located in the middle of everything in Camden. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast everyday with other hotel guests and enjoyed chatting with others in the morning during coffee and breakfast. The atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed and we felt welcomed and special by the staff throughout our entire stay. Staying at 16 Bayview was a delight and a highlight of our trip to Camden.

I absolutely loved staying here. Camden is such a cute town and the hotel is super nice. Our room had a fireplace and heated floors in the bathroom which was wonderful. I loved the tv setup with the Apple TV integration. I travel often and this was by far one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in a long time. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This place is a must visit if you're in the area. Right in the middle of downtown Camden, so you can walk to the many restaurants close by, while enjoying idyllic views of the water. The atmosphere inside the vintage room is perfect for a weekend getaway in front of a fire while you enjoy a timeless Hollywood film inside their quaint bar.

What a wonderful weekend we had in Camden! The room was perfect and the tub with jets was a delight. Staff was super helpful and polite. The breakfast was better than most “higher” end places i’ve stayed; legit cast iron potatoes, fresh bacon, homemade quiche! No joke lol. It was really really cold and nasty out so we stayed around the room and got drinks at the vintage bar attached to the building. Drinks and snacks were also really good, bartender was a rock star, place was busy. Will be coming back and will be bringing my pup!

Wonderful stay! Staff were very pleasant and informative. Room was gorgeous, especially the bathroom and shower. Comfortable bed, fireplace and quaint balcony. Breakfasts included in the Vintage room gave multiple choices of yummy options. Cannot wait to come back again!

16 Bay View was perfect for our 2 night stay in Camden. We had an ocean view room with a balcony that was perfect. Nicely decorated, it had a gas fireplace, nice traditional furniture, and a gorgeous large bathroom full of marble and a fabulous deep jetted tub for me to relax. It was wonderful!|We decided on two nights here on our road trip between Boston and Bar Harbor. Originally, we were going to spend one night in Ogunquit, yet we changed our minds for a less rushed visit. We are so glad that we did.|We had booked a 2-hour sail on the Schooner Surprise one afternoon, and it was beautiful.|The first night, we had small plates and drinks on their rooftop bar. Top notch friendly service. Luxurious rooms. Amazing view of Camden Harbor. The included breakfast buffet was incredible. 10/10. Can't wait to stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed at 16 Bay View in August and it rained during our stay (which we were totally ok with coming from hot TX). There are complimentary umbrellas to use which was convenient. Even though we had a short 1 night stay, we enjoyed the facilities. We were able to message the front desk prior to arrival to confirm that we could check in early. The parking is a little tough as it is shared parking lot with a brewery and restaurant. Our room overlooked the marina and it would have been great to sit outside with a cup of coffee in the morning! There is a little closet that hods the Keurig machine, microwave, mini fridge, and ice bucket. The room was spacious and had just enough room for 2 people. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and even had an option to warm the floors. The bathtub is huge! I liked the many options in the shower for the water direction (waterfall, front, or handheld). I liked that the waterfall option was angled as well as the front - aims toward the chest, not the eyes! The hotel is conveniently located in town - you can walk to many restaurants as well as the very cute library in town. We actually walked to Rockport for dinner but please note it is rather difficult to get ride share services (Uber/Lyft) so we had to call a local taxi company. I would definitely stay here again during our next trip to Camden!

Yelp
Best view in Camden for apps and drinks! We had a bite here and loved the rooftop vibe, friendly staff, and yummy food.

Joe S.

Yelp
Beautiful views, cozy seating, and delicious food and drinks. Highly recommended. Staff was also excellent.

Ron R.

Yelp
Overall this property is a good stay. It is not without its issues much out of their control such as parking and noise. The location is outstanding. The rooms are comfortable. The views are nice. The Vintage Bar is nice, but needed more staff. The breakfast is above average with REAL scrambled eggs, but the potatoes were ice cold.

Yelp
My family and I stayed at 16 Bay View recently during a family vacation to Maine, and we had a wonderful stay. Our room had two queen beds and one bathroom, and it was located on the main floor. The bathroom was huge, which was a huge plus since we were traveling in a group, and the beds were very comfortable. We were also traveling with our dog, and the staff had treats and fresh water in the lobby. Coffee, water, and snacks were also available in the lobby, and the hotel has two restaurants. One is located off the lobby and is open most of the day. The other is a rooftop bar that serves cocktails and small plates that were super good. It's also dog-friendly, which I've never seen at a rooftop bar. (By law, the indoor restaurant is not pet-friendly, so if you're traveling with a furry friend, just be aware of that.) The views on the rooftop were incredible. I would stay again just for that. We also had a balcony in our room, which we loved. We were able to park in a lot behind the hotel for free; you just have to put a piece of paper on your dashboard that identifies you as a guest of the hotel. Location-wise, the hotel is located in the heart of downtown Camden and is only a couple of minutes away by car from the state parks. As far as pricing goes, we paid a little over $400/night for the room, plus a fee for our dog, which admittedly is a little steep, but it seemed to be on par with what similar hotels were charging. We were also paying for two beds, so if you only need one, it'll certainly be cheaper. We did have to pay half of our bill up front as a deposit, so just be aware of that. I believe it is refundable if you need to change/cancel your reservation, unless you provide less than 48 hours notice.

Yelp
Stayed in an ocean facing suite and was impressed at the size of the room and service throughout the property. Parking was easy and we were centrally located in town. Will stay again if travels allow.

Savanna A.

Yelp
A flawless stay. Parking is cheap and close, check in was comfortable and fast, the room was comfortable, big, clean and cozy. I loooved the room, bed and fireplace. You get complimentary sparkling wine at check in. Small plates and desserts are available and delicious. I will be staying here again!

Yelp
Planned to visit Camden during a three city vacation in Maine. We stayed at the 16 Bay View while staying in Camden. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and took an upgrade to the deluxe suite. After arriving we couldn't help but feel excessively pleased by the decision. This was possibly the best hotel experience we ever had. The experience while staying here was absolutely exceptional. We were appropriately informed of hotel amenities and parking when checked in. The staff were welcoming and thoughtful of our celebration. They were warm and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas. The room was clean and spacious. We were welcomed with a hand written congratulations alongside a box of chocolates. There was a patio overlooking the water with furniture for us to sit. The fire place was a wonderful addition especially for the colder evening. The bathroom, luxurious, with an amazing shower, a separate tub, and HEATED floors. The only criticism I had of the room was the inability to hook up an hdmi connection to the TV so we could watch our own iPad. I will also mention that the hotel is perfectly located downtown, near the historic tourist shops, the harbor, and a number of restaurants. We left our visit thinking that this may be an area we would wish to frequent in the future. Certainly the 16 Bay View Hotel will be our place to stay when that is the case.

M T.

Yelp
A nice hotel in a quaint town but don't stay on the third floor. There is a rooftop restaurant on the fourth floor. Having this restaurant above me Made my experience horrible here. The walking around, the dishes, the people talking was extremely distracting. I wanted to go to bed and the noise was still going as of 10:00 pm I called the front desk to complain and nothing was offered to me. If you stay here demand to not be on the third floor.

Mallory D.

Yelp
Excellent location for the Camden area. We walked everywhere in town and didn't have to worry about parking since we paid $15 for hotel parking in the back. Due to COVID some of the regular amenities were different and I think if things were normal it would have been better service but I understand. We had a difficult time getting bath towels and our shower would overflow but I think if hotel staff would regularly come into the room, it would have been fixed. The view had peaking views of the water and it was nice having a balcony. Breakfast was nice with the chefs special and was easy to pick up in the morning. The room had a gas fireplace which was great because it was so cold!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Great decor, location right in the center of things, and a rooftop bar. Emily greeted us warmly, and was a delight. She got us settled and up to the bar. The view is great, especially on a foggy night with the glow of the Edison bulbs. A fire pit and heaters kept it toasty and comfortable. The drink menu has a drink for every taste. Smoky bourbon and lavender gin cocktails were our choices, and both did not disappoint. Staff in the bar were engaging and attentive, a pleasure to talk to.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience. I travel for a living and spend more time in hotels then I do at home. Brought my wife for a one night getaway. One of the coolest hotels I've stayed at. Can't wait to stay again.

Nancy S.

Yelp
This is quite possibly the best hotel I've ever stayed at, period. This tops my stay at private club hotels in Paris, Château Whistler in Canada, Eckharts Private Hotel in Queenstown, NZ and penthouse suites at Peppers. Some of the finer details experienced at fancy hotels in Denmark pale in comparison. My suite was more than I expected, sporting two fireplaces, two balconies with different views, a large bathroom with Europe's best rain shower PLUS a free standing deep tub complete with soothing jets. The exposed brick in the bathroom was a charming aesthetic. A small closet revealed a refrigerator, keurig coffee maker, fine teas and wine glasses. The master dresser was topped with a nice selection of snacks and drinks for purchase, some local to Maine. The linens and pillows were cosy and fashionable, towels and robes are luxuriously Turkish. Toiletries are Gilchrist and Soames from London. The separate living room had its own fireplace and TV, with a balcony facing the white steeple church. It's wonderfully soothing to hear the church bells go off every hour. In the summertime they have a rooftop bar with panoramic views. The lobby bar offers fine libations and home made menu items such as crab cakes, truffles arancini and charcuterie board. The master suite had a balcony facing the harbor and quaint side street full of shops and restaurants, only a short walk to the docks. The complimentary breakfast is classy, including a custard laced hone made quiche, berries, home made mini scones, fresh juices and yogurts. The hotel is pet friendly, so your pooch is welcomed with open arms. Expect to find a plush dog bed in your room with a bowl full of locally baked dog biscuits and a tennis ball to play with. The hotel is quiet, service is friendly, location central to all and no detail is overlooked. I cannot wait to return!

Amanda J.

Yelp
My Husband & I really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean with modern decor. Fresh new linens, comfy beds, and state of the art showers & tubs. Our room overlooked street side which was adjacent to a popular local bar. They kept this in mind when placing windows because despite the action going on over the weekend we couldn't hear a sound when it was time for us to turn in. We were right in the heart of town which was nice because everything was in walking distance. The continental breakfast was hot. Not a huge variety to choose from but that's to be expected.

Tom C.

Yelp
Second stay... My fiancé and I again had the opportunity to stay in one of these wonderful rooms. The room was literally the size of our apartment. The bathroom was wonderfully designed with heated floors, a large jetted soaking tub, and a massive walk in shower. It also had a double sink vanity which is perfect for us (my better half likes having her own sink). There were hardwood floors throughout the room. Past the bathroom came the bedroom which had an ocean view right from the bed. It also had a double sided fire place which you could also use from the adjacent living room. The living room was complete with a leather couch (which I believed could be pulled into a bed if traveling with children. The balcony was a wonderful place to have a coffee/drink to overlook the harbor. There is also a stylish bar with craft cocktails on the main level of the hotel. We will definitely be back!

Tim S.

Yelp
I know that five star reviews are boring so I'll make this quick and to the point. Simply elegant. Warm and inviting. I really like this place. The only complaints that I saw posted were of the rooftop bar. Big whoop, someone didn't get their drink right. Hardly a reason to diss the whole hotel. We had a great stay and will come again!

Tracy S.

Yelp
This review is for their rooftop bar. Very scenic view and there's a fire pit that helps keep you warm despite the chills during the cooler part of night. We had their tapas which were good and the ambience was just lovely. Would come again for the view with friends

Olga R.

Yelp
The customer service on the roof is very cold and unfriendly. I went up there and stood like for a good 15 minutes before a young man asked me rudely if I was alone. Not a great start. I told him that I wanted to book a reservation, but he told me - they don't do that. I told him that another person wants to join me and I will come back in few minutes. And the waiter showed me 2 seats with a tiny table, while a larger table for 2 had to be cleared. I told him I preferred the larger table, and planned to come back. When I came again and I saw that the table was clear, I sat down. I was asked for me my name by another waitress, and I gave her my name, then looked at the menu. No salads: I was looking for a salad, but they have no salad, which was disappointing. How does an eating restaurant/lounge not have a basic salad? The staff in general is very cold and unwelcoming. We got up and left.

Ingrid K.

Yelp
This hotel is part of three properties in Camden found at bayviewcollection.com. It's the newest, and the archecture is New Orleans meets modern industrial. It's fabulous! There are only 21 rooms, but if you are lucky enough to get one, they are lovely, spacious and clean. I think all rooms get a balcony and they are small, but do the trick for enjoying the view with a cocktail. The hotel is centrally located and perfectly walkable to all the shops, restaurants and bars. In the morning, we were offered a complementary breakfast of quiche, yogurt and granola, assorted baked goods, bagels and cream cheese, coffee, tea and an assortment of juices. It was more than I would have expected and very good. The staff we encountered were all friendly and the common areas were tidy. They also have meeting/wedding space that we peeked into that also seemed nice.

Mandie B.

Yelp
We stopped here only an hour before they closed, but are so glad that we did! The view was beautiful from The rooftop restaurant and bar. Our server and bartender were very knowledgeable of their menu and bar service and were very prompt in taking our orders and getting our drinks out. I got a spicy margarita and my husband opted for a classic manhattan. Both cocktails were made perfect! We'd definitely like to pop in again for dinner.

Barren T.

Yelp
We stayed here for the weekend in the loft and the website does NOT do this loft justice! The loft was BEAUTIFUL and really gave a luxury experience. Very clean! There were 3 nice sized rooms each with beautiful bathrooms! 2 of the 3 showers also had a sauna feature and rainfall shower heads. The views from the balcony are really nice overlooking the harbor. The wood burning fireplace was a great feature to have as it snowed during our stay. The location gives the option to walk to the local restaurants and shops. All of the customer service at the hotel and locals shops and restaurants were great! This was our first time visiting Maine and everyone was so inviting and we really felt welcomed.

Penny S.

Yelp
The best place for cocktails and small plates with the MOST amazing view! Almost 360 view of harbor, river, and village. The staff are friendly. Seating is comfortable. The food is so-so. I would give more stars if only the music was not obnoxious. The age range of patrons tonight is 60-65-ish and the music was selected by the 22 year-old staff. They would keep us longer and I'd order another round but cannot stand the noise coming out of the speakers.

Amy C.

Yelp
One of the worst hotels we've ever stayed in. Was sent an email beyond the cancellation period to tell us there's be a private event (wedding) during our stay and that the rooftop bar and restaurant would be closed to us. Called immediately to cancel and they informed us it was too late. The hotel hallways and elevator had a bizarre smell like a pet store, maybe cats. Whatever it was, it was really unpleasant. A man knocked on our door around 2 pm. We were in bed and didn't answer. He proceeded to LET HIMSELF IN!! He said he was there to fix our AC since we reported it wasn't working. We NEVER reported that our AC wasn't working and were horrified that he'd made this mistake. Upon check-in, we asked where we could park. We were told we should just park on the street since we already had a good spot and would save the $15 a night parking fee from the hotel. So we did that. However, I requested a receipt when we checked out only to discover that they charged us for parking every night we were there. There were other issues with cleaning our room and getting new towels. Front desk staff was very unhelpful and told us we'd missed the time cut-off and to just wait until the following day. Upon check-out the manager asked how our stay was. I replied, "Honestly, not good at all." He just said, "Sorry to hear that" but never once asked what the issues were or how they could improve. He basically just asked to check off the box of asking, "How was your stay?" If this is how the manager conducts himself, you can imagine the standard he holds his staff to. And just FYI, we paid $1494 for TWO NIGHTS at this awful place. We wanted a really nice hotel at the end of our 2 week trip and this is what we got. Please take our advice and NEVER stay here. Just about any place would be better than this.

Hilary T.

Yelp
Do not go here. Worst customer experience ever! I'm local and every time we have tried to enjoy the roof we have been turned away. And turned away so rudely!! I'm not even giving them a star. For 6 years we have tried to give them huge business and they just don't seem to have their act together. Plus, I do know know many people who have gone for dinner and they say it was sub par. Just awful. So if you want to go for a drink on a rooftop don't go here. And finally, if you want to have a good meal, stay away from this place.

Brett P.

Yelp
The Best Boutique Hotel I gave ever stayed at. In this regard you get what you pay for. Its romantic, well-appointed, and makes you feel right at home. Second time here and even better than the first.

Anne W.

Yelp
We enjoyed cocktails at the rooftop bar at 16, so lovely. To get to the roof top bar, take a left at the front desk, and take elevator to the top.

Darian P.

Yelp
My wife and I took a trip to Camden Maine and stayed at 16 Bay View Hotel on October 29-31 It was Amazing !! We stayed on the 3rd Floor suite 38 ... we arrived at 8:00 AM and the wonderful staff (Yana)allowed us to check in early !Our room had the best view of the bay and beautiful sunrise from the balcony in the morning ! The two way fire place and huge jet soaking tub was perfect for our cool fall days ! Complimentary breakfast was outstanding! Try the quiche .. I cannot say enough how great and friendly the staff was to us ! 5 stars for this hotel ! Can't wait to stay here again

Michelle G.

Yelp
This hotel may be in my top 3!! It's got a nice aesthetic, it's small and cozy (not a TON) of rooms, and well appointed all without being pretentious. The first thing I noticed when I got to my room was the size of the bed (rather the size of the pillows on the bed) and these gorgeous hard wood floors!!! The room included a fireplace which added a serious level of comfort and to be honest, is what ultimately had me sold on this hotel. The coffee/tea/hot chocolate station was well stocked and the bathroom was nicely done. The location is great and right next to anything you could need, also, it was easy to get in and out! Parking is 15 a day. There is a complimentary breakfast downstairs or you can get a bunch of stuff sent to your room for 10 dollars which is quite nice! Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and was sad to leave.

Jedediah M.

Yelp
They'll cancel on you and not say anything. We showed up at 7pm, 2 hours before close, and were told it would be a 1 hour wait so left our number and meandered around town HUNGRY for 40 minutes. Then we checked back in and the lady said it wouldn't be long. Come 8:40 we go back in and she says sorry "no one was leaving" so no tables opened up and I guess since it's 9 now and nothing is open we're just going hungry on this night of our vacation. She said that decision was made at 8:20 but didn't call to tell us, thanks a lot.

Barbara H.

Yelp
This is a prime location in downtown Camden, Maine. Unfortunately, parking is a nightmare, check-in is very hit or miss, breakfast is very minimal and the elevator ranks as a competitor to a turtle - on the losing end. This professes to be a top ranked experience- but it misses out. Sad to say. We have tried it twice...experience was worse the second time

Ethan W.

Yelp
The View certainly lives up to its name, overlooking the gorgeous Camden harbor. Clarissa was SO AWESOME!! I cannot say enough about the staff, and oh by the way... The cocktails are awesome. It is a must see when visiting the area.

Jane G.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with inviting, cozy and well appointed rooms. We had a king room with separate living room with double sided fireplace, balcony overlooking the harbor and amazing spa bathroom. Bed was super comfy with wonderful sheets and mattress. The spa bath features heated marble Flooring, deep soaking tub with a multi function shower combo both situation inside the brick wall/marble glassed enclosure. Breakfast was sufficient and tasty with quiche, fruit, yogurt and granola and muffins with juice and coffee. Only downside was the reception with Kade at the front desk - might not be the best position for him. Just not very personable. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Sandra H.

Yelp
Did not stay at hotel but the rooftop bar was awesome...between heating lamps and blankets they provide the patrons it was very comfortable even though it was a rainy day. Got to meet a lovely couple Mike and Vivienne and we became instant friends. Great fun experience and charming views!

K K.

Yelp
The location was super if you knew how to listen to your gps. Close to restaurants on the water, walked in and greeted by awesome attentive staff. Wanted to photograph from the roof but had sold out for a wedding during the week. Odd. Room was amazing and fell in love with body shower. Now we are ready to tear out our spa shower, not. Balcony fun for having drinks on. Valet was very kind on check out. Hubs checked out and left behind a new pair of shoes-discovered it at next stop but a phone call to them said no dice. Three days later a phone call to us said if we would pay for shipping they would return them. All good

Liv L.

Yelp
Went a few weeks ago to "The View" -- their upstairs rooftop bar. Their cocktails are truly awful. Two people in our party tried to warn us (they had been before) and just ordered beers, but we braved it and immediately regretted it. The bartenders need some serious training on how to mix not only the featured drinks on their menu, but also simple classic cocktails. The bar downstairs is much better.

Maile H.

Yelp
This hotel is INCREDIBLE. We got free chocolates and champagne as a gift from the owner for my mothers 50th birthday. The free breakfast and coffee were phenomenal, the furnishings are beautiful and comfortable, and the staff are immensely friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the rooms tend to be a bit warm overnight, but that was easily fixed by opening the balcony door. If I ever come back I'm definitely staying here! PS: if you want a quieter experience come during the off-season (late spring or late summer).

Denise A.

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful. We stayed in a king suite with ocean view. Nice large living area. Leather seating. Dual-sided fireplace. Plenty of closet space for your stuff. Fabulous king bed and a bathroom to match the luxury of the suite. Beautiful marble. Large shower stall and soaking tub. Love the exposed brick and industrial architectural features. Very nice renovation of an old, brick Camden waterfront building. Note: yes, this is ocean view, which is lovely. But know that you are staying right in the very center of downtown Camden and the base of the harbor, so you may see some power lines.

Rory K.

Yelp
Went to rooftop bar for an early evening cocktail and were assigned a table. Lovely bar tender and waitress but the evening got wrecked by the greeter when two people were brought to our table with no chance for us to protest before they sat down. I was in a very private conversation with my partner and we felt we had to leave as we had lost our corner of privacy.

Shara L.

Yelp
My daughter and I called ahead for roof top dining at 4pm. Upon arrival we were told it would be an additional hour before being seated. Still not deterred. Walked around town and returned closer to 6pm only to be told they were closed for the evening. I spent two hours committed to a reservation with my eight year old on her birthday, and they didn't have the decency to even call. They did have my number. I was offered a take out menu. Nope. No thanks. I live locally and deserve better than this. Epic fail.

Abby D.

Yelp
Had an amazing evening at the rooftop bar at this hotel, despite the rain! They had blankets and heat lamps, umbrellas and a small "fire pit". Quite the atmosphere, romantic or would be a great place for a girls night! Didn't eat but just had some great beers for decent prices. The service was phenomenal and the manager came over and talked to us about the town and history of the place. Very cool!

Dawn M.

Yelp
Cannot say enough good things. Had an amazing valentines stay. The rooms are spectacular with the fire and bathrooms really like a spa. It was winter and the tub and heated floors so nice. Staff were friendly and the breakfast delicious. Cannot wait to come back.

karina g.

Yelp
Chose this hotel because of location and they are dog friendly. When I say dog friendly, I mean it! They charge an additional fee which is normal but they gave us a dog bed and bowls, plus they had a little welcome sign for our dog, which was hilarious and cute. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they upgraded us to a room with a balcony facing the water, gas fireplace and jetted tub. The bed was super comfortable. They also arranged a late checkout. Great location right on the water, they apparently have a rooftop deck but we didn't see it due to weather. The location is downtown Camden, plenty of parking. They also do breakfast in bed complimentary which was delicious. Highly recommend!

Bonnie S.

Yelp
Stayed here for 2 week nights for a work trip. This place was beautiful and I can't wait to return. It is very pet friendly, but is much cleaner and classier than the traditional pet friendly hotels that come to mind. My husband and 6 month old puppy also loved this place! Our pup's name was written on the chalkboard in the lobby, along with any other four-legged guests (and they got treats too!). Our room was on the ground level (though the rear part of the hotel drops, so there was a raised balcony instead of a walkout patio). We were not far from the front door which was convenient with a puppy. The room was gorgeous and has a view of the harbor. It also had a gas fireplace, fancy shower, heated bathroom floors, and a huge jacuzzi tub. They also set up a plush dog bed and left out bowls for the puppy. The service was unbeatable! We were snowed in here for 1 night and we spent most of the night in the lounge by the fireplace drinking wine, playing board games and getting to know the bar manager. We were even allowed to have the puppy with us there all night. In the morning the staff members even cleaned the snow off our car for us! We were served a complimentary breakfast in our room each morning which was a nice spread of fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, quiche, muffins, juices, and hot coffee. Camden is a cute mid-coast town and we can't wait to return to this hotel! We felt like we were living a life of luxury (and our pup's standard of living increased substantially within minutes of arriving!).

Yelp
I found a great deal on Travel Zoo for $199 for two nights at the 16 Bay View Hotel that included lift tickets. When I called the front desk to check on the dates that this deal was good for, I was told that the mountain isn't open on Monday's and Tuesday's, which is not disclosed on the site. There are also many black out dates which are pretty much during the weekends. After finding this out, I decided to not book my trip. I am very disappointed. The hotel could have gotten my money, but I'll go stay somewhere else.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our (too short) stay at 16 Bay View. Lovely room, great service, nice breakfast, everything was great. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Beautiful view but terrible service. The seating policy for the rooftop bar makes no sense. Good luck getting your entire party seated together. Once seated, if they get your drink right you should run and buy a lotto ticket.

Yelp
I was told we were on the top floor. I was not told there was a restaurant/bar on top of our room. You could hear every footstep, every chair, the music playing. I asked about the noise and was told it closed at 9pm. The noise continued until 11pm, despite many calls. I was offered a free drink up there. I was offered a fan to cover the noise. I was offered a room on the second floor, but we were already in our pjs and unpacked. Upon checkout, the front desk person asked how our stay was. I told her what happened. She said there had been a number of complaints. She was very nice, and she was honest and helpful. I wish the previous person at the front desk was honest and had the customer service she had. She offered to reduce my rate. I said, this should be disclosed to guests, the noise should be addressed (insulation, carpeting), and if it's to end at 9, it should totally end at 9, not 11. They are not being considerate of their overnight guests. It was nice to have a view of the harbor and walk into town and it was decorated nicely and was clean.
