17 Burgate House Hotel B&B

Enjoyed an excellent two night stay at 17 Burgate. Our room was very comfortable and clean and we very much enjoyed the complementary cakes and sherry. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Ashley was the perfect host with lots of suggestions of places to eat in the evening. Looking forward to returning in the Spring.

Just returned from our second visit in a month, this time with friends. We almost don't want to say how wonderful 17 Burgate is as you'll need to book months in advance but something so great needs sharing! The welcome from Ashley is like a warm blanket around your shoulders! Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are immaculate with goodies and sherry on arrival. The buffet breakfast is tasty and copious,a warm option is always provided, Alan's omelettes should not be missed! The off street parking only minutes from the heart of pickering is an added bonus. We are already trying to fit in another trip! This is easily one of the best establishments we have stayed in at any price!!!

Everything about our stay was brilliant. Ashley made us so welcome from the start, a wonderful host. The breakfast was amazing and our room surpassed all expectations! The decor making this a beautiful B&B on another level. We will definitely be returning Ashley ! Denise & Colin

Wow. From the minute Ashley opened the door with the biggest smile and encouragement to step inside, the smell of warmth and immaculate entrance hall was enough to know we were going to love it here. We almost gasped out loud on being shown to our "out of this world" beautiful bedroom and spacious light, bathroom. Sherry and a plate of cakes too. We slept in a huge comfortable bed with amazing pillows like we hadn't slept for weeks. Breakfast was a lesson in health and nutrition which we have continued since returning home as it was soooo good. We'll be back next year without a doubt. Thanks a million Ashley. First time staying here and we will definitely be back one day! We were shown to our room and told the best places to eat out. The room was lovely and spacious and even had cake waiting for us. Unfortunately no cooked breakfast were available but were informed this before we stayed, but still had a nice breakfast selection available.|Had a little car park for 5 cars at back of house.|The hosts were lovely friendly and certainly made you feel welcome and at home.|Nothing at all to fault this place it is amazing!

We have just returned from an exceptional 2 night stay at 17 Burgate and have already rebooked with friends. We cannot recommend the hospitality we experienced highly enough. From the moment we arrived Ashley wove an air of peace and tranquility around us. Our room was so comfortable and full of every thoughtful feature you could wish for. The freshly baked sweet treats were a particularly nice touch! Even when we had a problem with the plumbing, Ashley dealt with it consummately upgrading us to another room at no extra cost. Prior to our arrival we were contacted to ask if a buffet breakfast would be acceptable due to unforeseen circumstances. All I can say is 2 die hard cooked breakfast lovers are now converts to Ashley's delicious continental buffet! The produce was fresh, of high quality and plenty of it! warm croissants and pastries , meats and cheeses and a warm special dish made by Ashley! Thanks for everything, we can't wait to return!

What can I say, from the moment we walked in I knew it was going to be perfect. Lovely garden with seating, beautiful room with sherry and cakes on arrival. Immaculate decor and a warm welcome from Alan and Ashley. Breakfast was very good, everything was so nice, sorry to leave but hopefully we will return. Ashley was so helpful with everything. Outstanding accommodation and Ashley is so welcoming and the perfect host. The suite we have just stayed in was fresh, clean and superbly presented. The bed was enormous and very relaxing. A big shout out also for the very touching gift for my wife and myself of a card and some wine as we were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary, plus some cupcakes too. The bathroom was also very well presented and very clean too, obviously attention to detail is a high priority which is greatly appreciated by guests. Ashley is very approachable and nothing is too much trouble. My wife and I stayed in a similar styled hotel a few years ago near Scarborough at a lot more expense, but 17 Burgate B&B surpasses that hotel in our eyes.
