18 High Apartments

I’ve lived here for awhile now and the building is amazing! Everyone that works here is so kind and helpful. Joe and Melissa are both amazing doorman and woman who brighten my day when I see them! Can’t speak highly enough of it, and the maintenance man Antonio is sooo kind, efficient and helpful!

I've been living at 18 High for 6 months. I'm doing a 1 year fellowship at YNHH and wanted the best building in walking distance to the hospital and I do think this is it. Tenants seem to mostly be med students, law students, and professionals. Beautiful common area, nice gym that's never too crowded fir when I go, and very responsive maintenance staff for the very few small issues that have come up. Doormen/women here are excellent. Star, Joe, and Johnny have been a pleasure to have around and always willing to help you with welcoming smiles. They are just always happy to see you and it goes a long way toward making the place feel like home. Have to give a special shout out to Johnny who is just a pleasure to talk to on a day to day basis. He's got a great sense of humor, is always ready to help you out with tips and recommendations, and has a special love for people that really shines through when you talk to him. Overall I couldn't be happier with my choice. If I was going to be in New Haven for longer than a year, I'd definitely be resigning the lease here.

I love this building! The views are wonderful and the doormen (and woman) are so fantastic! I love coming home and seeing Joe, John and Star welcome me. They are such warm and kind people. It’s right in the heart of downtown New Haven so I am close to everything. Great place to live if you are Yale faculty or affiliated with Yale because it’s so close to the campuses and Hospital.

I am an MD-PhD student and am planning to live here for the next 7 years… it’s that good! Brand new building… amazing people work here and the location is unmatched. Staff is incredible - Johnny (doorman) will always be around to give a good laugh and even better conversation. Joe (doorman) will remember everyone’s name, no matter what. I feel very safe knowing both of these men are at the door! Antonio (maintenance) is quick to answer requests and always has a bright smile on his face - one of the hardest workers I know! I couldn’t be happier.

Have been living at 18 High for six months and wanted to note that the three doormen (Johnny, Star and Joe) have been lovely and wonderful to speak with each day! All three are engaging, courteous and kind. They are very helpful with packages and are doing an all-around great job. Each has a strong commitment to caring for each person in the building and takes a strong interest in our personal lives and well-being. Johnny, Star and Joe make it feel like I have a family away from home.

I absolutely love this building. The amenities and staff are always there for me if I have questions or need anything. Johnny is truly amazing at his job. He always greets me when I enter and asks me how my day was. The other day I had a pipe issue and he immediately helped me contact maintenance to get it resolved. In addition, he always puts a smile on my face whenever we talk. I could not ask for better support.

Love this place! The amenities including the gym and common areas are great and I frequented them often. Quiet area around but extremely close to just about everything downtown and beyond. Unfortunately I had to move out earlier then expected due to a job relocation but management made the transition very smooth. Last but not least, being greeted and assisted everyday by Johnny, Joe, and Star made my experience at 18 High a great one!

Johnny is exceptional at his job and goes above and beyond his required role. He always greets me with a smile and always asks me how my day was. He truly cares about his role at 18 High and I can see he tries to build rapport with all the residents. My experience at 18 High has been great. All the staff are excellent and Edward is always willing to field any questions no matter the time.
