1828 Smart Hotel

This is a great small boutique hotel and I wish we had spent more time here. Common areas like breakfast are amazing, small but sophisticated. Rooms are very comfortable, good size and quiet. The pool was amazing during the summer days and a good way to refresh and recharge after a long day walking the city. Staff was amazing, breakfast was very good, location is quiet and a little tucked away from the busy streets. All and all a great experience and would love to come back. No big families, no screaming kids, no splashing in the pool. Just like an adult traveler needs and it’s highly appreciated in a small hotel.

This hotel is at an excellent location right in Palermo neighborhood and very close to some of the best restaurants and shopping. The hotel is small and quaint with around 20 rooms and has an excellent breakfast that goes till 12pm !…. And a pool, room service and workout room that is 24 hrs !!!….||But overall the best reason to stay here is the staff. They have the BEST staff incredibly helpful, caring and friendly folks…. Loved the front desk person - Horacio and Mariana / Ojenea at the bar / breakfast. I have been traveling over 30 years across the world and I have not found a better more attentive team as in the hotel. Just the very best !….

I want to start off this review by saying the people that work at this hotel are lovely- super attentive and very friendly. Their breakfast is five stars, with plenty of options and some options made to order as well. We stayed for a week and found it to be very central for Palermo and even walked into Recoleta. The best bar bars and restaurants in Palermo are a quick 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. I will say the room we stayed in was not soundproof at all and around 2 AM. We had to ask the room next door to stop screaming. Since we spent most of our day exploring, it was not ideal to come home and not get very much sleep due to the noise. Other than the noise we really don’t have any complaints about this hotel and we’re definitely come back, but perhaps not staying in the same room.

Spent the first and last part of our BA visit at the 1828. This hotel is in a GREAT location for bars/restaurants and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. It is that sort of personal service that leads us to book at boutique rather than large scale hotels. Each day a new sweet treat was brought, loved that. They allowed us to come back and shower in their spa area for a late flight out of EZE. Although the rooms (we stayed in both suites) were nice, there is a need for deferred maintenance and some freshening of paint. Apparently the large sliding doors to the patio aren't waterproof at the base, causing the curtains to water stain, they need to be elevated from meeting the floor and cleaned/replaced. Largest issue was with the little work out area, which would have been fine if the equipment worked. The adjustable dumbbells couldn't be "adjusted" making them unusable and the treadmill simply didn't work at all.

Your hotel, reception staff and bar staff exceeded all our expectations. They couldn’t have done more for us, both to make us feel welcome and to help us find the area in Santa Catalina where my husband, Adrian’s, Scottish ancestors arrived to settle exactly 200 years ago. Of particular mention are the front desk staff, Bruno, Horatio and Hernan, and also the bar staff, Lucia and Naomi, all of whom were so kind and helpful.😁|The stylish decor is beautiful. We felt very much at home, relaxing both inside and in the pool area. My grandson particularly loved the pool. |We very much look forward to returning to stay with you again soon. I decided to stay in Palermo this visit. The 1828 Smart Hotel is a great little boutique hotel in the middle of Palermo. It is walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars but quiet in the hotel. I really enjoy the friendly staff and the swimming pool is a great place to cool off on a hot afternoon.

Perfect location and beautiful hotel! Stayed here for 4 nights with my wife on our honeymoon. The staff is very helpful with anything you need and their breakfast that’s included is delicious!! You won’t regret it if you stay here

I chose 1828 Smart Hotel through the hotels.com website because of the amazing reviews on there. I chose the Luxury Suite for our stay ($259 USD/night). The front entrance is a really neat old world door that kind of reminds me of a Viking ship. You have to press the call button to be let in. We were greeted in English and the front desk guy was super cool and nice. He made us feel welcomed immediately, he was very genuine. As a hotels.com silver member, I get perks at certain hotels. 1828 Smart Hotel acknowledged my membership and I received complimentary sparkling wine. The lobby was absolutely beautiful with marbled floors, a white grand piano, black furniture, plants, and giant windows leading to the outside pool area. It was absolutely stunning. The elevator is a bit slow but it's cool to see each floor pass by. There are 4 floors with two rooms each. It's a very square building but neat. Our room was massive. The bed seemed larger than a king sized bed and oh so comfy. We had a large flat screen tv, mini bar, keurig machine, large closets, and a balcony with chairs and a table. The curtains are automatic and you will find the switch next to the bedside tables. The bathroom was amazing as well. Marbled flooring, rock wall surrounding the large mirror, large sink, stand in shower with a rain fall shower head, toilet, bidet, scale, and well stocked amenities that smell AMAZING. But to top it all off (and why I got the room)...there's a large bathtub on the balcony! They give you a satchel of bath salts to go with your bath. In the morning, breakfast is included and you can order through the QR code and have it delivered to your room or you can go downstairs to eat. One of my favorite things about this hotel is that there are USB plugs around the room and there are universal outlets that fit electronics for every visitor worldwide. This is definitely a great choice if you're staying in Buenos Aries!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff was extremely accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We stayed here for a single night, and were greeted with complimentary champagne. We stayed a single night, before flying to Iguazu Falls for three nights, then back to this hotel for another two nights. They were extremely helpful and let us store one of our suitcases while we were away those three nights. The staff was just so friendly and helpful during our whole stay, we'd definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.
