On the Grid : 19 Glas

"This gem is a well celebrated restaurant with really great and fancy Nordic cuisine in a friendly and relaxed environment. You choose between 4 or 7 courses and you will not be disappointed. They also have a great lunch and an award winning wine bar. The price is not that bloody much. You land around 600-900 SEK depending on the menu and your choice of drinks. It's not a cheap place and that's exactly why Ronald McDonald is nowhere to be seen in the preparation of your food and drinks. So go here and enjoy the fancy grub you hipster foodie!" - Snask

Best time eating here in old town Stockholm! This is a must try. Local farm to fork in a Swedish style unmatched to date! The freshness and wine pairing was exquisite!

Incredible food. Experience the 7 course dinner with 7 distinct wines. A restaurant for connoisseurs of fine dining. Reserve a table.. there are only 19 seats available inside.

Every time I go to Stockholm I stop for lunch at this spot. They have great service and food and lunch (as it's common in Stockholm) is more affordable than dinner. So you have a lovely three course meal way cheaper than dinner. Their menu changes every day and you have two choices to choose from. I have never been disappointed. The place is lovely and it has outdoor seating too.

A place to sit down and enjoy their excellent food. Lunches always served as a two course meal. Starter & main. Choose between meat, fish or vegetarian. If you like wine, this is a perfect place as they sell all their wines by the glass. I've been coming here for over 5 years and I have never been disappointed.

My favourite restaurant in Stockholm. Excellent food, wine AND value for money. Excellent lunch and dinner in a casual relaxed environment.

For the price I expected more. We were treated well by the staff but you could tell that they were rushed off their feet because they were understaffed. The food was nice but the portions were tiny. Changing these small aspects of the service could make a big difference. Edit : This was dinner on 14/02/18

Sometimes you end up at a place because the cool place down the street was closed for renovation. Sometimes that place ends up being better than your original place. This is not one of those times. This place felt like a generic wine bar, overpriced, and under-ambianced. This place didn't have a vibe, and if you say it's the patrons that make the vibe, this place didn't have that either.

19 Glas Bar & Matsal is a great wine bar in Gamla Stan. Not cheap, but with a good atmosphere and an excellent wine selection by the glass. One evening, I was walking home across Gamla Stan to my Airbnb apartment in Söder, when I decided spontaneously to stop at 19 Glas Bar & Matsal for a drink, or two. This place looked simple and nice from the outside, and it turns out they have a great selection of wines and cheeses. The guy behind the bar was friendly and knew something about bis wines. He also recommended a tasty cheese for every wine I had. Unfortunately, I cannot remember which wines I ordered, but what I do remember is that they were pretty good. However, they were also somehwat pricey. But then, such prices are kind of normal in Stockholm, so I was fine with it and it did not feel like a rip-off. Especially as such a wide selection of wines by the glass is something you will probably not find at too many places in Stockholm. If you like intersting wines, 19 Glas is a place you should keep in mind when in and around Gamla Stan.
