1900 Hostel Lima

Great location situated in front of the exposition park, it's 30 minutes walk from the center. Breakfast is included simple but great. We got a private room were the queen bed was so comfortable and the toilet is in the room but it's open so you need to be very cozy if you share a room with someone. Shower is warm and towels are provided. Reception is of great assistance. They booked us a taxi from the airport, it's 70 soles 1 way and 120 soles 2 ways. The building it's really beautiful. The location is really noisy, on the weekend there was a big concert in the park and in the week there's a lot of traffic. The hostel offers roof parties on Saturday were the music is very loud, our 1st night was challenging with the laud music, bring some good earplugs. The WiFi is not so good in the room you can connect well in the main hall.

I didn't like being up-sold for a room. The guy who checked me in directed me to an 8 bed dorm and I thought that was the 28soles option, and I was tired and didn't count my money. He put me in a more expensive room and I don't appreciate that. The mansion itself is beautiful, there's a rooftop with a kitchen and space for yoga, the place is very clean. Not a super social vibe, a bit loud, and I never came back late at night but it would be preferable to have some sort of key code to the front door rather than waiting for someone to buzz you in.

Rooms are insanely loud. There’s a bar below the hostel that plays unbearably loud live music. So loud it shakes the walls and sleep is impossible. The front desk staff is great and are extremely helpful. Location is central to everything and easy to get around. If you get room 9B, don’t bother unlocking the door, just go ask for a new room

Comfortable clean rooms with nice people. Spacious rooftop for yoga and simple shared kitchen. Supermarket is within 500m. Easy to go anywhere. Thanks also for the helps from the cheerful staffs Alexandra, Gladis, Elo and Azu. Love the inspiring breakfast messages too. Thanks.

The employee serving breakfast was sick, I mean really sick, coughing over the service. The room was fine, nothing incredible. Bathrooms were kept clean. WiFi worked 10% of the time. My card was charged 4x for the single night stay and when I tried contacting the hostel for help, they pointed me toward booking.com who couldn’t help because the charges happened onsite. Once I gave that info to the hostel, they ghosted me so it had to be disputed through my CC.

Very nice hostel, very helpful and friendly staff. The location is very good to visit the historic centre. Good breakfast, just a little bit noisy since is next to the Avenue.

Great hostel close to many attractions. The hostel is an older building so as expected some noise echoes down the hallways and the beds are rather firm. Bathrooms were clean. Friendly staff. Good price for the money. I would stay here again.

We stayed here on our last nights in Peru before flying back. It was fine, the room was comfortable. They didn’t take card but have an ATM downstairs to get cash out. The building is beautiful, however the roof top area felt unfinished and a bit dirty.|There is a bar/restaurant downstairs which we had dinner in, they were only serving pizza that night but it was nice.|The breakfast was really good.|We did a walking tour with the guy from the hostel, it was good fun and nice to see the old town with someone who knew the place. We had delicious churros and learnt about the old town. It would have been nice if the tour started early in the day - 4pm felt we were waiting around for it to start!|Overall an alright stay, would recommend spending some time in Miraflores though but expect to pay more than this area.
