This hotel was charming, conveniently located, well appointed, artsy and funky yet combined with an understated elegance. The generous breakfast was highlight, varied and fresh, one can order a la carte as well. The rooms have terraces so you can open a window and look outon the plaza (our room had a plaza view), super clean and all the hotel team from the front desk to the restaurant and cleaning crew were friendly and helpful. The barrio Intentendente is, thankfully, not on the tourist massification list yet like the other well know barrios such as Chaido Alto. The barrio is trendy and has been recently revitalized and the hotel is a big part of that process. The architecture in Intendente, reflected by the hotel, is a mix between the traditional townhouses of Mouraria and the neoclassical mansions of Baixa. I highly recommend this hotel for your Lisbon stay. Comfortable beds, great amenities. It was magical all the way around. Not to mention the yummy porto tonico welcome drink!

The Hotel is in Great location, very close to City centre and easy to walk around all the landmarks. Upon arrival we were greeted by Andre (Manager), Mafalda and Helena who are absolutely delightful and made us feel welcome. Andre made us a glass of white port with tonic water what a way to start the holiday we both enjoyed it. They all suggested plans for activities and this was really helpful. A lovely surprise on our first night was a welcome plate of the traditional Portuguese cherry liqueur and their beyond-delicious custard tarts. (Pastéis de nata) Added bonus was the month of June they celebrate lots of religious festivals which made the visit extra special. The only thing to note was the lack of practical storage place for clothes (Minor detail). The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices you will not go hungry, Sara made sure you were well looked after. What makes 1908 Lisboa special is the staff nothing was too much trouble and they all made us feel like part of the family. The hotel itself is an impressive building, the food and drinks are reasonably priced and great quality. I Would highly recommend staying here, great location too. A big thank you to Andrie and his team for making this trip so special hope to see you all again

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Exceptional service, friendly staff, and a warm atmosphere, we couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we arrived, the staff at the reception were incredibly welcoming, always in a great mood and more than happy to help with any information we needed about the city. Their local tips made our visit even more enjoyable. What really stood out was their kindness on the day of our departure. Since we had to check out of our room in the morning, they offered us a temporary room so we could freshen up and relax before our afternoon departure. It was such a thoughtful gesture and truly appreciated. Highly recommended!

This beautifully historic, ambient, old hotel has razor sharp but warm and personal service that really made our one night stay more special. The location is very lively and full of character if you’re looking for a dynamic experience of the city. The restaurant is good - it was really the service that secured this 5 star review as we really felt engaged with by our lovely waiter who paid attention and made sure to give plenty of personalised recommendations. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed and more, with extra touches and gifts, and the deep stand alone bath was especially luxurious. If you’re looking to live the high life, really relax and indulge, all while being amongst a lively area of Lisbon then I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

I loved my stay here - it was easy to navigate from the airport to the hotel via the metro, and the staff were lovely and accommodating of all my questions. Andre and the rest of the concierge staff were full of suggestions of how to get around and time things. The included breakfast was delicious with lots of options and the surprise of a Pastéis de Nata (pastry) and little bottle of cherry liquor in the room when I checked in was so fun. Some other reviews commented on the neighborhood - it is less touristy and definitely a neighborhood in transition, but an easy walk/metro/Uber to plenty of other more “touristy” neighborhoods.|I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I find it difficult to review this hotel because there are some very good features but some features or aspects that were less good. |Good features: |The building is beautifully renovated - it has retained its external character but inside it’s very contemporary with great fixtures and design features. |The staff on the whole are very welcoming and attentive |The welcome drinks |No one side the hotel faces a lovely square with a number of restaurants and cafes |From our room we had lovely views of this square and the castle |A short walk to the metro ||Less good: |The hotel is in a more run down part of town which feels at odds with the quality of the hotel |There is a good range of cooked breakfast options but the way they were cooked was a bit disappointing |They were slow to clear plates at breakfast. I did ask if they could clear things away but was told the staff were busy doing other things yet there were always 2-3 members of staff at reception that could lend a hand. |Our room was very small.

Loved our stay at 1908! The building is stunning, and the rooms are perfectly clean and airy. The included breakfast is absolutely stellar, and the fee for having breakfast sent to your room in the morning is only 15€ (a pro tip if you’re planning on doing some light partying while in the city). The staff is genuinely remarkable, and motivated me to write this review. Every single concierge we interacted with while at the hotel was polite, accommodating, efficient, and all around super friendly. My husband and I had a very early departing flight and would need to leave the hotel at 4am. We were able to check out early so as to avoid the early morning grogginess, and requested to have a cab called. When we got downstairs in the morning, we dropped off our keys, received a complimentary breakfast to go box, and the taxi was waiting right out front. Absolutely above and beyond service! I’ll be recommending this place to anyone I know heading to Lisbon, and I hope to return in the future! Obrigado!

Great accommodations, clean and comfortable room and bed, shower with plenty of pressure and hot water, and the included breakfast includes egg omelettes or benedicts. 1908 Lisboa is well thought out, including the art, and staffed to provide its customers with a pleasurable stay / experience. |But what makes this hotel stand out is its hospitality and its hospitable staff (including Andre, Mafalda, and Diogo). The hospitality starts when you walk in the door with a welcome drink... and Andre (the owner) spent considerable time discussing Lisbon's sites to see and how to see them (being considerate to our mobility challenges discussing Ubers and Tram 28). The hospitality of the staff is contagious as everyone on staff goes out of their way to assist you from the waitresses in the dining room to the room stewards. The hospitality is further evidenced by the typical Lisbon pastry delivered to your room. |Lastly, I arrived in Lisbon a little under the weather, the reception staff called the hotel's on call doctor and had the Doctor come see me in the hotel after hours (Diogo even served as the translator for me).
