We went to Green Bay for the 49ers/Packers game. My lady is a 49ers fan, and I’m a Packer’s fan so this was a chance for us to see both of our teams play. We had tickets for Club Seats so after doing some pregrame tailgating, when the stadium opened, we went in to grab something to eat at 1919.
If you go to Green Bay, you must visit Lambeau, and you can’t go wrong with 1919. When we went, we had a short wait because it was game day, but it wasn’t bad… but we were early. Your experience on game day could be drastically different because when we left there was one heck of a line and a long wait.
We started our meal with the Wisconsin Cheese Board Shared plate. The selection of meats and cheeses was excellent. For the main course I had the Poutine Burger. Aspen Ridge Burger patty, fried cheese curd, fries, chicken gravy, Havarti on a brioche bun. My lady had the Maple Burger. Aspen Ridge burger, paper jack, maple aioli, root beer onions, bacon… but substituted for a Gluten Free Bun. I also changed out fries for Cheese Curds. (We were in Wisconsin; can you get enough cheese curds?) The food was good, and there was a lot of it. Maybe it’s because it was game day and we were already hyped up, maybe it’s because Lambeau in and of itself is, but we had a great experience at 1919. The food was good. The staff was fantastic, everything was awesome.
If you can get into 1919 on game day, you should try to go. If you’re there any other time… you definitely should go.
