Verbier, Switzerland Ski Trip Guide

"A buzzing indoor-outdoor après spot at the heart of the resort, it offers mulled wine and snacks in a yurt or on mountainside deckchairs, barbecue service, and the option to organize a communal Mongolian-style fondue evening for larger groups when booked in advance." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. 2 stars - 1 for potential and 1 for location. Bland would be the best way to describe the food. If you want to sell yourself as “All American” food, maybe don’t have Jackie Chan’s grandfather as the chef? Three meals and nothing with flavor, luke warm soup - and how can you mess up pretzel bites?! Really…. Would gave been better with a grocery store visit and a microwave - and would’ve saved a bunch of money. On the flip side, the server was very pleasant and attentive, venue is clean and spacious with good views and easy parking.

Well as of May 2025 I am not going back to this place! Stale bread for a crab cake that was mediocre at best. Very small wings under cooked green beans that they forgot to bring prices are high which would be fine if it was good. Save your money. They are understaffed and don’t care what they sling out. It’s a shame bc it use to be very good but the last 4 years has proved not worthy of my money nor yours. Maybe you go for a drink but then go to a real restaurant A new restaurant in Chesapeake beach, located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the new parking garage on the rod and real parking lot. First off the views are amazing as they have a lot of windows and outdoor seating. So far I experienced the following: Steak and crabcake A- The crabcake was very good, no filler steak could have been more tender. Rock fish bites A+ A large amount of fish, could be a meal but its an appetizer. Wings A, large and tasty (sweet chilli flavor) Chesapeake Fries C-, covered with crab dip I felt it lacked taste. To me some old bay was strongly needed. To be fair my wife liked. Overall the place is clean and very pleasant amenities. Due to them being new I will defer on speed of service but the quality has been very good. Staff very friendly. It now has become one of my go to spots

Hadn’t visited here in a long time. Was going regularly but the flies were out of control. Decided to visit again and sat outside. We enjoyed our food and menu was vastly different than our last visit. Most of our favorite items are gone but what we had was delicious.

This was a nice place to eat overlooking the water. The presentation on the burger was neat, but the flavor was just adequate. It didn't really have any flavor, and the fries were okay. The staff was friendly and didn't leave us waiting or anything anything.

If dining on good old fashioned American hamburgers and other popular American foods by the ocean sounds like a dream come true, then swing on by and give 1936 Bar & Grill a try. I love how the restaurant combines the old with the new and puts their own spin on popular dishes like the Big Kahuna burger and fried green tomatoes. Personally, I’d prefer regular sliced pineapple on my burger, but otherwise, I love their Big Kahuna burger. Now all that it needs is a $5 milkshake, within reason, of course, ha ha! #PulpFictionFan So yeah, if you love good food and are feeling nostalgic for 20th century American culture, then give 1936 Bar & Grill a try, especially after a long day of gambling and/or walking along the beach. Shoutout to my future husband, Andy, and his family for taking me here before work! 😃

We’ve been coming here since it opened. Loved the view, happy hour with friends, and family dinners out. Unfortunately, with the menu changes and deletion of happy hour, 2 out of 3 reasons for going here don’t exist anymore. No more happy hour, and the menu is too restrictive and expensive to bring the whole family. And I’m not going to a parking garage for date night. The views are still wonderful, but that’s about it. Oh, and we’ve always had great luck with the service. We used to come here 3 to 4 times a month, but now I can’t see us frequenting this place much at all.

What a disaster. Went here on a date night, not aware of recent menu changes. Was so flummoxed, didn’t know what to order other than a couple gin and tonics and some fries. We left soon after and went someplace else. We were craving the Brussels sprouts and shrimp wraps. Unfortunately, so many other good bar food removed from the menu as well. I just don’t understand the decisions here. This establishment is not in touch with the “townies” that they need to survive Monday through Thursday.

I was given a seat. For 20 minutes no waiter/waitress. Noone offer water, no introduction. Just sat there while staff actively skipped me and my 83 year old mother. Worse experience ever. As I'm leaving I understand why there's no service. The whole staff is in the kitchen laughing and joking. When I asked was anybody in this restaurant working one of them laughed. Save your time and energy and skip this place. I Did have an awesome meal after across the street at Abners. After we let this place.
