19grams Alex – Coffee Roastery

I have always had a secret love, for deep coffee and avocado toast. On rough days, this lights my heart, gives me calm and bring me hope. I have traveled to many such havens, but none compare to 19grams Alex. The coffee is playful and many flavours, offering exactly the right balance. The Toast.. Oh my, it's a true gem, One to enjoy, not rush for the end. Take the moments, slow down.. Allow yourself a breather, the day will await. I am enjoying 19grams Alex a lot. Their coffee is well roasted, they have a wide variety of different beans and each is described by interesting subtle notes. However, their avocado toast is out of this world.. It's a perfect mix of different tastes and textures. The place does get busy, so take that into consideration as it may seem loud. Yet, personally, that's exactly what I need on a gloomy day. Cheers also to the helpful staff, their smiles make half the experience.

This location of 19grams in Mitte is a real gem. While in the center near the tv tower, it's still somewhat hidden but also very spacious with it's own Roastery inside - and aside from food and drinks they also sell their own (very tasty) blend. As of yet there is a different menue for Weekdays (Sandwiches and Business Lunch) and Weekends (Brunch). I went on a Saturday and orange juice, flat white with oat milk and the (vegan) Avocado Toast which honestly blew me away with its very appetizing presentation and rounded flavors combined with a very fair price for the Mitte area. There is a whole separate room available to use your laptop on weekdays and yet another big plus - that I always love to see more Café's adapting - are the many bottles and glasses available to enjoy free water! Loved my stay and and will certainly be back!

The original 19grams is located in Kreuzberg, right next to a cemetery which is also what the name refers to. The café is known for its excellent food and freshly brewed specialty coffee. Especially on Sunday mornings, the atmosphere is lively and makes for a perfect start to the day. I can recommend the sourdough bread with eggs Benedict and mushrooms.

A lovely spot with great coffee and an excellent slice of cake. The location is convenient, and the atmosphere feels warm the moment you step in. The staff are genuinely friendly, making the service quick, welcoming, and pleasantly effortless. It’s the kind of café where you can unwind, enjoy quality food and drinks, and feel taken care of without any rush.

I did my first latte art course with the great instructor Scott. Very nice and peaceful guy, dedicated and nice. It was a great experience, the place, the environment. They have great installations for teaching and they also have bunch os courses. 100% recommended if you are diving into the coffee world.

Great speciality coffee. The Basque cheesecake was up there with the best I've had. Chocolate milk also very tasty. It is a bit noisy inside, but what's to be expected at a coffee place

Great place! Had a lazy Sunday breakfast here. Great coffee, really cool menu. Good chilled Sunday vibes. Had food envy seeing the plates of Moroccan lamb served on a Yorkshire pudding! coming out of the kitchen.

We decided to visit based on the good reviews and ratings. The café is self-service—you place your order, pick up your drinks, and return your empty plates afterward. We ordered two flat whites, which were good, a chocolate banana bread that surprisingly tasted great, and a chocolate chip cookie that was truly amazing. The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere overall.

Centrally located but very Americanized coffee shop. Good coffee and although I didn't try or learn about roasting looks like a cool place to do that!

Bloody average is more like it. I chose this spot because the photos looked cozy. Nien! Pride cometh before the fall. Everything lacked execution. The coffee was weak and served in a drinking glass so not hot. The "squeak" had good flavor, but also had hit and misses. Poached egg and hollandaise, excellent. Generous bacon but not crispy. The scalloped potatoes was limp. It DOES NOT open at 8AM but at 9. When I asked the manager about it, he responded with a blase attitude. It was chilly outside so I had second thoughts, wish I left. The manager did not bother to let me know it was open as he chatted away, and evidently let a customer in but promptly locked the door. What??? The server was a millimeter better on the human scale of personality. Also the food took quite a while to come out. Mind you I was the second, but first sit down customer. Maybe the staff should do more prepping instead of chilling over a cook of coffee. It is on the pricier side. I could have ate at my hotel for a few euros less. Guess I know where I will be tomorrow morning.

Best oat milk latte I've ever had! Also the staff is super friendly and the location looks really cool!

I decided to give 19grams Alex brunch and coffee a try and met up with my friend who had just moved to Berlin for graduate school. This 19grams cafe is located in Berlin Mitte. There are other 19grams coffee shops scattered in Berlin but this one in particular houses a coffee roastery as well. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly barista who told us to seat ourselves since I said we were there for brunch and still waiting on our friend. We came on a weekday morning and it wasn't busy at all. If I had gone to grad school in Berlin, I could definitely imagine coming here to study since there's plenty of space and there's free WiFi. My friend and I both ordered boody good Flat Whites while my bf got a hot tea. For brunch, I got the Eggs Benedict with a German twist! Rather than bread, they made use of potatoes. It was deliciously filling -- the perfect first meal to jumpstart a day of exploring the city. I love what they've done to the space. It's clean, modern, and has tons of space. Lots of merch available for sale including fresh coffee beans straight from the roastery, coffee makers (Aeropress and Chemex), and more.

Excellent coffee, including oat milk. Best in Berlin. Open, lots of windows. Good WiFi.

A really cool place, industrial but still a warm feeling. The Salmon salad was the best I've ever had! The coffee and tea is just super also. And coffee gear to buy home also. A must visit!

Wow! Great Brunch - delicious eggs Benedict with roasted beet roots, sardines on grilled sourdough bread, vegan chia pudding with fresh fruit; great service - friendly and very attentive staff; and of course bloody good coffee! 5 stars, without a doubt!
