Place can use new paint. egg rolls are very good the fried rice is very plain the beef is a little tough I ordered Mongolian beef and it should have been a side of onions with a few pieces of beef. Too many onions in this dish. Portions are big but I would rather have great food than a huge portion of bland fried rice and tons of onions. Food really needs some flavors and color to make it great !

Large menu very no nonsense ? Orders have always been correct delicious Singapore noodles they add more veg etc, jumbo shrimp egg foo yung, Mongolian beef, fried rice we have been pleased with orders

My favorite Chinese takeout 🥡 Food is always hot and delicious 😋 been coming here for 4 years and going strong. Food is always fresh and cooked to ordered. Smoothies are a must too. FYI; They only offer take-out and delivery, no dine in.

First time coming here and I am extremely satisfied. Food is great. Flavorful!! I got the orange chicken plate. It would be nice if the fried rice had more meat, there’s only like 3 mini shrimp in there and all rice but I can’t complain for the price! Ill definitely be back!

Hate that missing ingredients on a topical dish remember few years back when they have vegetables and egg on dry rice, now not even the smell please honor our business don be cheap is paying for not a mercy or free food. The best 9.00 you get with Chinese food huge portion the egg roll made old school way with it being excellent. I rather come here for Chinese then Chinatown it’s just way better.

I've been coming to this place a few years now. They never fail with the food. It's close by small, fast, and food is very tasty. The workers I encounter are always so nice to me.

I like this place. Good food and fair prices. They don't have a dining area but in my opinion they don't really need it.

Great food! Always hot, seemingly fresh. Kinda expensive, but worth it. Service is okay. They can be a bit rude and rush you.

I was iffy on this meal. But let me tell you they did not disappoint! Shrimp everything!

Since they raised their prices; they have gotten so cheap on everything. I ordered their combo with beef, chicken, and shrimp. There was only one shrimp. Their beef so chewy and lousy and their chicken had no taste. Its so sad how downhill the food is now. It used to be good but not any longer. There are so many better Chinese restaurants around that care about the customers. This one sure doesn't.

Really great experience here. Why do I crave Chinese on Mondays!??! So annoying. So, I'm on my way home when I get an undeniable hankering for Chinese food. I have to find a place open on Mondays! I did! They are closed on Tuesday! Genius level right here. I order over the phone, the person who answered was great she even asked me twice if I was going to the right location. I don't know if there's another or just a different place people confuse them with, either way she was trying to save me the trouble. I ordered a small kung pao chicken, medium heat, extra peanuts and she asked if I wanted them on the side... yes, please... large pork fried rice and two egg rolls. I enjoyed that kung pao, it was very tasty and a good portion of chicken. Good sauce, tasty fresh peanuts. I love nuts in my food. The egg rolls here are skinny but tasty, they are standard egg rolls with nothing creepy inside, solid. The pork fried rice was good. Again, solid for sure cause I had two servings and felt Chinese food wasted after! I will make this place my alternative option for fresh, quality Chinese food. Yum!

For Chinese places near me for carryout it's the best place I've been to. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge for the combination plates. Orange chicken is piled high the Mongolian beef and pepper steak are the best top three dishes in my opinion.

Nothing special to the eyes about this place looks like small mom pop place, borderline dump, but the food is awsome, best Chinese in the area. Don't pay too much attention to the look of this place the food will more than make up for it. People are very pleasant. Definitely recommend this place if you want good Chinese at reasonable prices considering all the price gouging going on with other restaurants.

My go-to Chinese takeout in the area. I haven't had anything I didn't like and would recommend this place for great food, portions and prices. FOR THE NORTHSIDERS- please go back north for mango, milk tea or spring rolls, it's not going to happen. This is typical Chinese fast food and this is a great example.

I ordered a take out for my family. We ordered 3 dishes for under $20!! I got small order of beef broccoli, small sweet and sour chicken and small order of chicken cashew nuts. Their small portion were soo big! It lasted two meals for each of us. They all came with a very tiny small side of rice. But that's ok for us since we don't really eat rice that's much, anyway. I ate the Beef Broccoli. It has broccoli, mushroom, water chestnut and bamboo shoots! It was good and delicious. I'll definitely order it from them again

Haven't been here in a couple of years because the quality had gone down. Now due to the pandemic, eating out options are limited so I thought I'd give them a shot. Ordered something simple, shrimp fried rice, and I'm happy to report it was really good! Glad to see they got it together!

At 1st Chop Suey I've never had them get an order wrong. In 20 years this has been the place we use at least a couple times a month. They also now take credit cards (for a $.30 service fee). They don't have a huge selection menu like some newer places but everything they do here is spot on. Even the lunch specials are great and a good value. We love their egg foo young quite a bit. Usually we get ham but the shrimp or combo is good too. Cooked fast and not burnt with lots of gravy makes it a winner. The pan fried noodles are excellent and always made to order, not left limp and soggy in a bin. And the egg drop soup is one of my favorites. There are a couple things I don't care for here like Crab Rangoon (too oily) or Orange Chicken (thick gelatinous sauce with heavy dark spicy peppers) but there are so many good offerings who can pass it up? The family that runs the place is great and even though a terrible traffic accident on I55 a few years ago hit the family hard by losing a few family members on their way home from work, they continued smiling and serving up their huge portions. I may occasionally visit other local sit-down table service Asian restaurants but this is my take out choice by far.

I've been going here for years and honestly this place can contend with Chinatown Chinese food. Only local place I like to go to. It's cheap, it's good, and the portions are huge. Staff there are also pretty nice. People who hate this place just don't know what they are talking about.

Ordered from here for the first time 2 days ago. VERY generous portions, great price, great tasting food. Delivery took no time at all. Very pleased and will most definitely order again soon.

This is one of the best family Chinese food in the area. They are fast, they have never messed up an order, they do it right there on the spot and the food is really good. The menu is extensive so there is always something for everyone. The portions are huge, so unless you have double stomach, a small portion is more than enough for two people. This place is more like carry out as the place itself only has a couple tiny tables (if eating solo). Absolutely love this place!

My first time trying, I hesitated on trying this place by its appearance but let me tell you it's Worth trying! Food was fresh, fresh crispy veggies, tender chicken, tender shrimp, food was not too salty.. absolutely great tasting. I ordered the Szechuan Chicken lunch special. You can't really tell by the angle of the photo but they filled up my plate to the max , i enjoyed every bit. I also ordered a mango tapioca smoothie, it was Ok. Tapioca balls were fresh and chewy but maybe due to the cold season the mango flavor wasn't so sweet but it was decent. Definitely ordering from here more often.

I had previously ordered from this location when I first moved into the neighborhood. I thought the food was good. Today, I placed an order for delivery, and specifically told the girl who answered I wanted to pay with a card. She said I could pay later, and I asked if the driver would have a machine. She said yes. About 40 minutes later, she calls me back asking when I was going to pick up my order. I told her I had asked for delivery. I understand, mistakes happen. However, even though I was willing to wait for my food, she told me it'd be another $3.50 for delivery and I'd have to wait 30 minutes for food that had already been sitting out for some time. There was no offer to have the delivery fee waived for the inconvenience.

Best in the Midway area. Have been eating here for over three years. If you do not want to drive to China town, or drive at all. Have them bring you a great meal. Egg rolls are great, shrimp fried rice is great. They have lunch meals, that are giant. Makes into lunch and dinner for me. They are the fastest in the city. And really a nice family, and have always taken great care of my dinning needs.

My favorite Asian food place. The beef fried rice is to die for. No matter how hungry you are, there will be another day's worth of beef fried rice in the fridge. The orange chicken is also great. Very recommendable.

Wanted some quick food close to my job. I read the other reviews here, so I gave it a try. Ordered chicken fried rice, Singapore style noodles and Mongolian beef. Only the fried rice was acceptable. The Singapore noodles were bland, they gave me half an onion that was nearly raw. The noodles were very soggy and oily. The Mongolian beef was made from cuts of meat that seemed to be days old. They smelled terrible. Again, there was too much onion. And it was undercooked. I don't know what the other reviewers are thinking. This is terrible Chinese. Don't order from here.

Never again in this restaurant! This food is so nasty that the dog would not even eat it!!!! I do not recommend anybody to go to this restaurant anymore! I went there to days ago and I ate some food but I've been throwing up for one day! I would not even give them a one star! Food is nasty!!!! Do not go there!!!!

I have been living in this neighborhood for the past few year and would always drive all the way to China Town for midnight cravings. Never notice this place until last night and I decided to order small order of combination fried rice with kow pow shrimp and a mango smoothie all under $18. Everything was delicious will definitely order again!

0 stars if I could, this place is truly disgusting. The chicken is dark meat and full of gristle, after the 4th piece I threw it out. Never ever again will I be back, not to mention the owner threw a fit because I asked for a few extra packets of sweet and sour! Bye Bye

the food is not so bad, but oh god..... this restaurant needs some serious cleaning. Waiting area is completely unaccounted for! I cannot believe the employees don't pay attention to cleanliness especially since it IS a restaurant. I used to always get delivery but one time I decided to pick up and was shocked to see the conditions of this place.

Big 4s is my go to Chinese restaurant. It is the best in the neighborhood. They've never gotten my order wrong and the food is always ready quickly. Their prices are more than fair and you get large portions. If you want Chinese, I recommend this place.

Pretty bad in most aspects. The food quantity was massive for the price, but it was terrible. The inside waiting area is filthy and it makes me wonder about the conditions behind the counter. I would not recommend this to anyone. Honestly I'm just happy to have escaped without GI distress or worse. I actually threw out 75% of the order because it was so gross.

They have good food. Haven't had any issues here only thing. They were closed on a Sunday drove up and no lights on. Didn't look at small hour sign maybe it said there.

It's not completely horrible because if its a Monday and we really really want Chinese we will go here. More than once they have forgotten to put sauces in the bag (sweet & sour and soy) how does that happen? Also dislike what thickening agent they use for their gravy. It's awful to reheat. The portions are big so reheating is usually happening for us.

Order the king pao chicken lunch special and oh my, the portions are HUGE! You could easily feed 2 adults with one order. My friend got the orange chicken and hers was much better in my opinion. The food was overall good but you can really taste the msg, but you gotta expect that when you are paying $6 for THAT MUCH FOOD! If you are in the mood for chop suey on the cheap, it's not a bad option.

This is so awesome, there crab Rangoon is delicious. This restaurant has the best steak ever. I love there appetizers. Top 10 restaurant I've ever eaten at.

My new favorite Chinese delivery spot. They were fast and more than affordable. The small egg fu young will feed me for 2-3 more lunches, but not the enormous and amazing hot & sour soup; but only because I'm taking it home for dinner. Very pleased.

Me and my family have been ordering from this restaurant for about 5 years, until about a few weeks ago. The last time we did, we ordered for delivery, and the delivery driver stole my change. When I called the restaurant and said the driver didn't leave my change they made it seem like there was no change. My order was about $45, and we gave him 3 $20 bills. I was so infuriated that I called the restaurant again and told them that I was going to call the police if the driver didn't come back with my change. He ended up showing up to my house within 10 minutes of calling saying I only gave him $50 when that was a lie. This has never happened to me, ever! I ended up telling him if he needed that money so bad he could keep it because I know what I gave him. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM SUCH A GREEDY RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN!!!!

Awesome food, never disappointed always cooked right every time all the time. Well priced for the value. My favorite is the beef teriyaki shrimp and lobster sauce and salt-and-pepper shrimp.

Been going here FOR YEARs!!!and never had an issue until today. They obviously dont speak very good english but its never been a problem. Im not sure who took my order today but the lady messed up the chow mein/ pan-fried noodles and instead gave me some chip like thing... HOW DO PEOPLE EAT THAT WITH BEEF AND HOW IS THIS EVEN CONSIDERED CHOW MEIN NOODLES. I am beyond angry at how she even handled the whole situation. I clearly said pan-fried noodles and she still blamed me. Might try to find a new place but the portions are huge and I love their eggrolls.

No credit cards!? Ugh! The food is good. But having to get cash first is a pain. Its not worth it to drive somewhere to get cash, drive back to get your order then drive home to eat. No food especially Chinese take out with questionable OSHA practices is worth being ignored while standing 3 inches away from the woman at the register who was on the phone telling the person on the other end his/her total every time he/she added something to the order. After ten minutes a different woman took my order. However, the woman on the phone was still casually asking the customer if he/she wanted a free egg roll . She held up the only phone line so my payment couldn't be processed. It was ridiculous. Get another phone line , the customer standing in front of you takes precedence over the nutcase on the phone, and lastly give Joy Lee noodles back its chairs.

Best Chinese restaurant in Clearing Garfield Ridge. Love their combination fried rice and beef with broccoli.
