Google
I really enjoyed the two times i’ve gone here. Very kind servers and staff, affordable prices and super yummy food. I really appreciated the attention and responsiveness of the employees and will definitely be back soon!

Overall good proportions and flavor was really nice. The best dish was the chicken green beans dish.

Google
What a surprise to find ourselves in this fine establishment me and my wife are looking for a dumpling restaurant with a tasteful menu, we happen to see them featured on a tiktok video and we decided to give them a chance, service is 100% a five star always attentive and quick with order taking . I ended getting the pan fried roll with fried rice and my wife got the pork long bao and white rice, everything was a very amazing taste freshly cooked everything down from the meat to the dumpling was a five-star Service as well I work commend anybody looking for a place like this to try it out over in Montclair we are def coming back.

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. I got the House Special Beef Stew Noodle Soup and it was very good. The noodles were very good and had a great texture, and the soup was rich and flavorful and had a good amount of cilantro on top. The beef inside was very tender and flavorful as well The Orange Chicken Is also very good, it's crispy and saucy. Not soggy at all and it was very high quality I do recommend it. The Hot and Sour Soup is very good too it's filled with stuff. The Sesame balls were very fresh and crunchy, with a good amount of filling and wonderful texture. We loved them very much. The chili oil was tasty and on the side of the table. The Vinegar and Spicy Vinegar were along side the Chili Oil. And although I cannot speak for the regular Vinegar because I did not try it, the Spicy Vinegar is tasty.

Google
It was my first time here and will be the last. We ordered 2 drinks which were forgotten about so they never brought us out water either. The waiter confirmed the drinks and everything, but nothing. Our table had no drinks on them the entire time. We asked them at the end to remove it from the bill as the drinks never came. And they were nice about that … but that makes sense at that point ^ Food-wise: I got the veggie udon which was very bland. The sauce tasted like nothing, but they had soy sauce on the table which helped to some extent. They could have added different veggies such as enoki mushrooms and added spices for it to have a flavor. Overall very disappointing. This may be biased as I didn’t try the dumplings so that could be much better. But not worth it for the noodles

Google
Their dumplings and green beans are among the best I’ve ever had. I love going here for real Asian food as someone in college who misses her family’s cooking. (The pan-fried pork buns were the only ones that weren’t exceptional, but they were still tasty) Great service

Google
Excellent food and fast, friendly service. Must try!

Yelp
I was impressed with the dumplings. It's as good as DingTaiFeng and Prince Dumplings. Price is very reasonable as well. The only complaint is the original beef noodle soup could have done better and hotter in temperature. Looks like it was warm up not really cook.

Yelp
To My Dearest 1st Dumpling, From the moment I stepped through your doors, I knew I was in the presence of culinary magic. Your pork xia long bao stole my heart--each delicate bite was a symphony of flavor, a perfect union of savory and sweet. And those stir-fried green beans? They were like a warm embrace, bringing joy that lifted my spirits in ways I didn't know were possible. Your cozy atmosphere wrapped around me like a cherished memory, and your attentive service made me feel truly valued. I find myself longing for my next visit, eager to be enveloped once more in the love you pour into every dish. Thank you for capturing my heart and palate; I can't wait to return. With all my admiration, Daniel Vega

Yelp
Had take out. Pork long bao, this were very good, I feel they are the go to order at any dumpling house. Had 3 orders for the family and they were all eaten. Beef roll, had never tried this dish. I did enjoy it, I think because it is fried it would be better fresh. Was still good at home but the containers and heat make a little condensation which you would not get if eaten at the restaurant. Onion pancakes , super good onion pancake. Although with the beef roll I would only go with one or the other because they were both fried and kinda gave me the same vibe when I was eating them. The Don Don noodle, this has just a little heat but was very good, great flavor, highly recommend this. Overall was extremely happy and will definitely be back for my dumpling fix.

Yelp
We came on a Sunday afternoon around 12pm. I had found this restaurant randomly because we were of course hungry and craved some dumplings and other dishes available. The wait wasn't entirely long but rather less than 10 minutes per say. We were assigned to a table that was enough for 3 right after. It was getting crowded after 12 not sure if this was a common situation. However our order arrived quickly and we got to enjoy our meals to the fullest! The ambiance was pretty good was able to make conversations without any problem. Now, as for what we ordered... -Xio Lio Bou /Pork shrimp flavor. It 100% fulfilled my cravings and the 10 pieces were a rather good amount and the size were not too small. I can say that it will fill you up guaranteed. -Beef and broccoli's: the beef was very tender and the sauce was not over powering but just the right amount. -House special fried rice: Every bits of meat and vegi were tender along with the rice of course. This was my first time here and probably won't be my last. I'm interested in trying their other dish's when I get the chance. So overall I would recommend this restaurant to not just other families but also friends. Get ready to get full by the time your done too because that sure happened to me.

Yelp
My daughter found this place, so we ate here for dinner last night. She ordered online, so we actually did takeout to eat at home. When we picked up the food, it seemed really clean inside and out of the restaurant. The lady who helped us find our pick-up order was really nice and sweet. For dinner, we ordered pork fried rice as our main course. It was super yummy!!! It was one of the best rice dishes I've ever had! We also ordered a 10 count chicken and corn dumplings. They were super tasty as well! Last but not least, we ordered four custard steam buns. These were delicious! Overall, this was a great first visit! We will be back, and we highly recommend you give them a try!!!

Yelp
This was a clean nice sized restaurant. The waiter was friendly. Food was super fresh and tasty! We got lunch specials. Kung Bao was fresh, beef noodle soup said spicy but was lacking the spice. Steamed dumpling was as expected but the buns were awesome! So light and crispy! I'll come back for those!! My first time with buns. It would be nice if they did a sample plate so I could try a variety. We will come back;)

Yelp
What a hidden gem in Montclair! Located right on the perimeters of the Montclair plaza is an amazing Asian spot that could easily be mistaken for Din Tai Fung. The food looked and tasted just like it! The dumplings were perfectly juicy and flavorful, the noodles were cooked to perfection, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. The service was top-notch, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality of food we received. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for delicious Asian cuisine. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Yelp
Driving up, I did not expect such a big location. There were plenty of people already seated and eating. Seems like lots of bigger groups. Service was okay, only 2 servers running around so it was a short wait before my order was taken. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles and the red chili oil pork wontons. The wontons were super tasty but the red chili oil was a bit of a miss. The chili oil lacked flavor overall, not salty, toasty, or spicy. The dan Dan noodles had all the right smells in terms of the sesame and peanut flavors, but it was not spicy at all. Although, I will say that I loved the noodle texture and I would love to give their other noodle and dumpling dishes a try. It's a nice spot to go to that's not extremely far of a drive to Rowland heights, for okay food. Not the best and not the worst. I would come back again.

Yelp
I'd seen the sign up announcing the arrival of 1st Dumpling (and retirement of Dragon 99) for a while. I was skeptical to try, even with all b the good reviews. Dragon 99 was a great place, especially during Covid when eating in was forbidden. After waiting a good year or so, I couldn't resist any longer. I'm glad I took the leap of faith because 1st Dumpling is even better than Dragon 99. First of all, there are no more disposable utensils and plates. The tableware is back to reusable. Should make my sustainability fans out there sleep a little easier. And the service is not bad either. On a weeknight, we decided to try some XLB and Siu Mai, both shrimp and pork, along with an order of orange chicken and combination fried rice. First, the dumplings .. the xlb was nice and soupy and hot. Very good flavor in the broth and meaty filling. I like that you get a whole shrimp in there, albeit a tiny one. The siu mai was fat with meat and shrimp and also has great flavor. Two recommendations for you. On to the food, the chicken was nicely fried to a golden crisp and then bathed a delicious, citrus and sweet, but not too sweet, orange syrup. Not soggy at all when brought to the table. The rice was chock full of bbq pork, chicken, and veggies, but I could have used a few more shrimps. The new owner, Max, came over and introduced himself and thanked us for stopping in. He was very nice and polite and told us about how he took over the business from some friends. 1st Dumpling at first bite will have you hooked. I hope Max and staff will sustain this high level of excellence for as long as I crave Chinese food. Next visit, I'm trying the noodle soup!

Yelp
This was great. It's so great to have dim sum style dumplings available for dinner. Add to that that the flavors are top notch, the place is spacious, service friendly. Bonus is watching the chefs make the dumplings! Soup dumplings are a must. Excellent The pan fried dumplings are done just right. They are not too greasy and come lacy and connected. We tried a shrimp option which was not at all fishy and a chicken- corn which was good. Pork buns are ok. Custard buns are great. They are not too sweet and ratio to bun excellent Yea comes in a paper cup.

Yelp
Their Beef noodles were super oily but tasty. The xlb steam dumplings are good. The soup could be more flavorful but its good. None of the xlb's ripped apart upon picking it up. They wrapped it well. The pan fried dumplings were okay. I found this place randomly on Yelp driving past this city.

Yelp
I have been looking for a dumpling place near me that is good and I'm so glad I finally found one! This place is in a hard to find area, but it is worth it! It also was empty when we went, but I just think people don't know about the potential of this place! They have so many different dumplings and dishes for you to choose from. The service is also great as they were very attentive and brought the food out in an appropriate time. Everything that we chose was tasty and great!

Yelp
This place was fantastic. We stumbled on it when looking up restaurants to eat in the Claremont area when we were here for a wedding. The service was fast, and they have an area where you can look thru the glass into the kitchen to see what the chefs are doing. Vibes are very relaxed. We got the pork xiao long bao, the pan fried beef roll, and niuroumian for two people, had to bring home leftovers bc we were stuffed! The pork xiao long bao is a very good price at $12.99 for 10 of them! And I was so impressed that the bao didn't break when you lifted them into your spoon. The soup was good, dumplings delicious, dipping sauce perfect. Would give the xiaolongbao 4/5 and would come back and order them again! The pan fried beef roll was out of THIS WORLD. Maybe it's bc this is one of my favorite foods, but the beef was sliced perfectly thin, the bing (wrap) was also the perfect thinness, and the cucumber was so refreshing with the hoisin sauce! And the portions are very big for $12.99. So good! 5/5. The niuroumian or beef noodle soup was clear and refreshing, with bokchoy, generous amounts of cilantro, and thinly slices beef. The noodles had a great chew and appeared to be handmade. The soup is very clear (not like some dark soy sauce based Taiwanese beef noodle soups, which I also love, but it's good to know what to expect when ordering). Exactly what I needed after a day of travel to get to the area. Such a solid place to go and would def go again!

Yelp
All the food was delicious. The food came out fast and fresh. Cucumbers were refreshing. I plan on coming back

Yelp
Stopped by on Sunday, 04/21/24 for the first time during lunch. Upon entering, we had to wait for a bit as there was only one employee assisting. We ordered the following: - 1 House Special Fried Rice = $13.99 - 1 House Special Chow Mein = $13.99 - 1 Steamed Custard Buns (4) = $8.99 - 1 Steam Shrimp & Pork Siu Mai (8) = $12.99 SUBTOTAL = $49.96 TAX = $4.50 TOTAL = $54.46 Food was okay but it didn't taste as authentic as we hoped it to be. It was still delicious regardless. In terms of the environment and ambience, this place is huge and clean. More and more customers started coming later on during the day. Cons/Opportunities for Improvement: When I received my receipt to pay, I paid and gave my credit card. After that, I was given another receipt that stated $77.32. I was confused as my receipt stated $54.46. Long story short, one of the employees mix and matched customers' credits cards to different receipts, so I paid someone else receipt (the $77.32 one). I also paid my correct bill (the $54.46 one). The Manager stepped in and fixed the issue - but you can tell he was confused and frustrated. He apologized as well. Overall 3/5 due to that experience (my first time encountering this). Moral of the story: please keep your receipt and ALWAYS check that you were correctly billed for the correct receipt and dishes.

Yelp
Orange chicken. Green beans. XLB. Affordable. Kid/family friendly. The best part is we don't have to drive out to SGV for Chinese food! Highly recommend if you're in the area looking for some good orange chicken. You can watch them wrap and make your wontons, dumplings, XLBs! And don't forget the homemade chili. Not super hot/spicy, has a nice kick and crunch to it!

Yelp
After a few visits I almost don't want to share this special place because I mostly luv that it's not too crowded.. BUT it's so good and I would luv to see it stay alive and thrive! So in the words of the late Derek Shepherd, "it's a beautiful day to save lives." First off it's a completely hidden gem. Not really gonna catch your eye at first glance. In the corner of the mall parking lot with a few sprinkled restaurants in the mix. Once you order, it does take a hot minute to receive your food but well worth the waited minutes. Everything we've tried has been so good! A stand out among the masses in the area. Xiao long bao, beef roll, Dan Dan noodles, char siu bao, chili oil dumplings, leek pan fried bao, pan fried dumpling, vegetarian bun and oh yes the custard bun! So good! Table sauces to adjust for your taste adding that extra kick and zing. The bamboo steamers are opened at your table to unveil these tasty treasures. We try new things with every visit and we keep coming back for more. Nice space for small or large groups. Booths and tables. Well kept, organized and ready to serve. Staff is friendly and welcoming. This establishment is one to bookmark and fall in love with!

Yelp
I ordered to-go for marinated cucumber salad, pan fried beef roll, and pork&shrimp xialongbao. The cucumber salad took me aback because I was expecting it to be like din tai fung's chili oil cucumber salad, but I did not read the description closely enough and did not catch that it was essentially just vinegar. It was still good though. The beef roll and xialongbao were both good--nothing extraordinary but reliable and tasty like a home cooked meal. Pick up process was quick and efficient, and the staff were very friendly. I would come back to be seated and try more of their dumplings.

Yelp
Finally a place around here that sells Xiao Long Bao. It is in the same plaza as the Montclair Mall. There is plenty of parking and the place is quite big. I wanted to write a review after coming here for Togo and dine in. If you eat here it is pretty clean. The staff is nice and they even think of kids with a kids plate and kids water with plastic utensils. Food One of the things that stood out was how fresh they make the food. Upon ordering the Xiao Long Bao, you can go watch them make it. We tried the BBQ pork which was decent with the honey, and had the vegetable bun. I would say the food is quite good, but it is a little more on the pricier side if you were to order this somewhere else. You would save the trip if you live locally. Would like to try some other dishes and see what else they have. Until next time !

Yelp
To get right to the point, this place as the best thin skin xiao lung bao outside of DTF...no joke. A definite 5 stars and I can finally say that I've found a place besides DTF that I hold in the same regard...okay, not quite DTF but it's pretty close. Better than places like Jiou Chu, Thumbling, even Seven Grams in OC. Their dumplings are a really good size, good filling, very juicy, and thin skin. So if you like thick skin like Ma Ma Lu's you'll be disappointed. Now, onto the other things: 4 star items: Their beef chow fun is pretty legit. they put quite a bit of beef into it. 3 to 3.5 star items: spicy wonton. It's pretty good, not close to DTF but their wontons are big. Green onion pancake is a little on the limp side for me, but not bad. 2 star item: Their BBQ pork bun...nothing like the ones from the dim sum places. The breading is too thick and dense and there's not enough BBQ pork. 1 star item: salted chicken...way too much breading and hardly any flavor. So, would I go back? Definitely for their XLB and maybe I'll try a few other things.

Yelp
Second time eating here and both times we've had a great experience. The food is delicious and the service is great. Everyone is very polite and friendly and the food came out quick. We ordered cucumber salad, wontons, dumplings, fried rice, chow mein, and king pao chicken. So good

Yelp
Wanted some comfort food on a cold and rainy day and stopped in for a late lunch on President's Day. They were open, and we didn't have to wait. The first thing we noticed, though, as we walked in was the smell, which gave the impression that they were having some drainage/sewage issues. After we got seated, we soon got adjusted and it didn't bother us for the meal. Thoughts on what we ordered: 1. XLB - 4 stars, pretty good! Not super juicy but nice flavor. 2. Beef dried noodles - 4 stars, pretty tasty, felt like home cooking 3. Custard buns - 5 stars+, Would def order again in a heartbeat. Good ratio of outside dough to the inside custard, plump and moist. My favorite dish. 4. BBQ pork buns - 3 stars, nothing amazing just average 5. Pork and cabbage dumplings steamed (4 stars) and fried (5 stars) - I'm a fan of the fried dumplings. 6. Spicy pork and cabbage dumplings boiled - 2 stars, they had some sweetness to them that just made them a bit peculiar and not spicy as expected...(might've been some hoisin sauce?). It did have cilantro and onions that added some fresh flavor to it. They were a bit short staffed, so service wasn't as frequent, but was very friendly. They could probably benefit from an online ordering system or scan a QR code to place an order direct to your table, as opposed to waiting for a server to come and put into their ipad. Overall, would recommend to folks in the area who want some good home cooking.

Yelp
TL;DR: Great taste, great value, good service, good portions. Old dumpling spot has gotten so popular it's hard to get a table and a friend recommended this location- and it's just as great! Better perhaps since we didn't have to wait long to be seated. Menu has so many options for you to choose from, everything we got was tasty. This place seems great for groups big or small as they had some bigger parties celebrating. The price point is very reasonable given the large portions as well.

Yelp
All the food we ordered and service were excellent! I took some friends and shared our 7 items. Very tasty and they will be back !

Yelp
beef stir fry noodle is sooo good the meat is soft. squid rings were weirdly chewy but the batter and seasoning were good. pan fried dumplings were the star of the show so crispy and flavorful. chili oil wontons were okay i wish the sauce was more flavorful

Christina G.

Yelp
I ordered the black pepper beef stir fried udon, pork xiao long boa, and dan dan noodles. honestly, the udon noodles were the most flavorful delicious udon noodles i've had. they aren't shy with the amount of beef either. meet was tender and delicious. the xiao long boa was super juicy. i love how they come in 10pcs, compared to most places that have 8pcs. the dan dan noodles were a pass for me. huge fan of dan dan but these specifically weren't my favorite. the service was amazing. our server was Alfie (i think that's how you spell her name) she made us the most delicious strawberry & mango tea. i will be back soon.

Yelp
For my milestone b-day, I treated my Mom, brothers and their family, my cousin's kids, and my daughters to lunch at 1st Dumpling & Noodle. I found this place on Yelp. It had pretty good reviews for a new business... soft opening for 3 months as of Oct 2023. I wanted someplace new and close to Bowlero Upland so we can head over to the bowling alley right afterwards. This place fit the bill! The interior is very open and spacious. Lots of seating. Great spot to have birthday parties, anniversaries, reunions, and/or just because gatherings with family and friends. They specialize in made to order xiao long bao and many other dishes. You may watch them make them through the window. There were 12 of us, but we ended up ordering about 21 dishes LOL. We are big eaters... runs in the family. I could possible name every single dish and rate them, but that's way too many. Let me call out the best tasting dishes and mention the not so great one. Everything else were just okay. Best Tasting Dishes: 1. Xiao Long Bao - flavorful and juicy 2. Kung Pao Beef - tender beef and tons of it 3. Black Pepper Beef Stir Fry Udon - just delish! 4. Vegetable Fried Rice - fantastic wok flavor 5. Pan Fried Dumplings - big and tasty 6. Honey Walnut Shrimp - tons of delicious shrimps 7. Shi Chuan Eggplant - big portions of yummy eggplants Not So Great: 1. Siu Mai with corn - didn't have the authentic siu mai taste, a tad bland, corn doesn't belong in siu mai folks LOL Overall, it was a delicious lunch meal. Staff was very accommodating. They did have a few new servers so please be patient with them as they iron out a few things during soft opening. I will be back to eat more of the same delicious dishes and/or try a few new food items. Happy Food Adventuring!

Yelp
We ordered togo and it was still really good. going to eat in person next time . honestly this is better than din tai fung in my opinion. it's hard to find a place that my family of 4 likes since we are so picky but my kids loved it just as much as we did. this is our new place
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Staff is very friendly, professional and organized. The food is prepared in the back in an open kitchen area. Delicious food. The win tonight noodle soup was amazing, the dumplings are tasty and full of flavor, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I'll definitely be back and I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Yelp
Great place. Food was good and staff was nice. I ordered so much food that the waiter was actually trying to convince me to stop when I kept ordering. ( I should have listened lol ). All items tasted good and will be coming back here again

Yelp
Family of four consists of two adults and two kids looking for lunch around CalPoly in a Sunday afternoon. We ordered Pork Xiao long Bao(10), good flavors, 10 pcs of soup dumpling. Original beef stew noodle soup (clean non spicy), no weird taste just plain beef noodle soup without much added flavors. Steam shrimp & pork siu mai, big xiao long Bao in siu mai shape. Pan fried Pork and cabbage buns. This is the best dish in this restaurant; very flavorful, good textures and combination of ingredients with fried flour base. Will be back to try more

Yelp
I saw that this place opened up recently and they offered xiao long bao which my mom was craving. They do have a lunch special menu. Their menu is extensive with plenty of steamed appetizers. We chose to get the hot and sour soup ($10.99), Mongolian beef ($16.99) chicken chow mein ($11.99), house special fried rice ($13.99), stir fried green beans ($12.99), Pan fried beef roll ($11.99), and an order of 10 piece xiao long bao ($11.99). The wait time was not long and the food came out hot and fresh. The Mongolian beef was tender with plenty of beef and sliced onions. The xiao long bao was juicy and the dough was thin. They did give a bottle of black vinegar to dip it in. The fried rice and chow mein were great as well. The fried rice had a good amount of sliced chicken. The beef roll was not too oily and had a nice amount of sliced beef. The staff is nice and attentive. Place was clean with plenty of seating. it was a bit hard to find since the restaurant is facing the 10 fwy near Black Angus Steakhouse. My family and I would go back again.

Yelp
Saw this place on yelp and decided to try it. The person that seated us was friendly. Our waitress was very nice and took our order. We had an order of xiao long bao and beef noodle soup. Food did not take a long time to come and when it came it was very hot. The xiao long baos were very well made, the juice had just the right amount of ginger to complement the pork. The beef noodle soup had noodles cooked al dent with the soup mildly spicy. The beef was also very tender. Overall a pretty good experience and will be back.

Yelp
Owner of the restaurant was there when we visited. He confirmed that he is the person put together the recipe and helped us with avoiding food allergens. That was great. the establishment is clean and service was great. Food was taste and loved the spicy vinegar condiment. I've never seen this available but here. when we visited it was soft opening for them... it was great and wish them luck, i think they are ready!

Yelp
Delicious food, good service. We had several different dishes and everything was soo good. We will continue to come back!

Adan O.

Yelp
Food was amazing. The waiter was very helpful throughout our time there.the vibe was very good very good feeling

Lydia A.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for so long and I finally got a chance to go ther. I looked at the menu and realized how ridiculously expensive it is and I feel like the quality of the food is very poor. They don't use rich good quality ingredients that you can tell by the Taste. I got a chicken noodle soup and the chicken looked not like real chicken and didn't taste good either. The noodles were really thick and not tasty. Even the broth was tasteless. However, I did enjoy their crab rangoon and they're spicy wontons were okay but overall I feel like they can work on the quality of food that they serve, especially seeing how expensive everything is!
google avatar

Brenda S.

Yelp
Same quality food as you'd find at a small restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley. This was my mom's first time trying dumplings and she is officially a fan. The pork xiao long bao were tasty and the wonton soup was savory. *The soup was large enough to share. I just wish they had a spicier chili sauce. The wait time wasn't so bad, stopped by on a Saturday night and waited 15 minutes. It was a bit loud and very busy. But overall we had a good experience and will be back.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
Whoa, this is a Din Tai Fung alternative that's worth some attention! Montclair, CA might not be the obvious choice for good soup dumplings, but I can confidently say that the XLB here are identical to the ones you might find at legit places in the San Gabriel Valley. Something I've never seen before is spicy vinegar as a condiment at your table. This adds just the right amount of kick while not being too overpowering like chili oil might be. We really enjoyed dipping our soup dumplings in the spicy vinegar! We also ordered the beef rolls, which were delicious. The beef noodle soup was also a winner here. Lastly, we ordered their shrimp and pork soup dumplings, which I guess is their version of DTF's crab and pork dumplings (seafood is seafood, I guess). They stick an entire piece of shrimp in each dumpling, and at only $1 more than the regular pork soup dumplings, I'd say it's a pretty solid option. Because it's further away from the SGV, wait times are minimal. We waited around ten minutes for a table on a Saturday, which is nothing compared to waiting 3-4 hours for a table at Din Tai Fung. You could literally hop in a car from Arcadia, drive to Montclair, eat at this restaurant, and pay for your meal before a table opens up at DTF on a crowded weekend!

Yelp
We got our food pretty quick, good service, friendly staff. Very large restaurant with a lot of seating. It was kind of quiet when we went on a weekday during lunch time but I expect the weekends and dinner to be pretty busy. We got the steamed dumplings or XLB, chashu and a noodle dish which I cannot recall what it was. The dumplings, you do have to be careful as there is hot soup on the inside but it was savory and tasty. I didn't really care for the chashu tbh, wish it was more crispy on the edges and wasn't as sweet. Personally, I like thumbling a little more but I think this place is still pretty good if you're near and want some dumplings and good Chinese food more towards Montclair and Ontario. I do want to come back and give it another try as I think the food could be better at a busier time and maybe more fresh.

Yelp
We haven't found any good Chinese food out in the Inland Empire, so we've been going on our own little Journey to the West to see what we can find. The Xiao Long Bao was very good -- thin wrappers and good flavor. The Chili Oil Wontons were much more garlicky than spicy, but the wontons themselves were good. I would definitely order these two again. Pan Fried Siu Mai was a little dense and dry. Salt & Pepper Pork Chop was also very dry. I would not order these two again. Overall, a decent meal.

Yelp
Came here for dinner during the soft opening and ordered the pork xiao long bao, dan dan noodles, and char siu! Starting with the pork xiao long bao, it was steamed very nicely and the pork was good with a good broth flavor! They were not too thick or thin and didn't fall apart. Although I would have loved it with some chives, and more depth to the flavor! The dan dan noodles were the highlight of the meal! It had a very good flavor, wasn't too oily, and had a good ratio of meat to noodle to veggies! I highly recommend trying this! The char siu was cooked great, and wasn't tough at all! The flavor was also sweet, but not overly sweet and had more of a savory taste! In my own preference I do prefer it to be sweeter, and a brighter red. Everything is okay, it's not bad, but not something that will wow your tastebuds! I think if they were to add more to the dumplings, it can improve more! I will come back again to try other things though!

Yelp
10/10 experience. The amount of food we ordered for the price was just amazing. Between the four of us we ordered the beef & onion dumplings, chili oil dumplings, cream cheese wontons, soup dumplings, bbq pork buns, and green beans. Everything tasted sooooo good. We devoured the green beans. PLEASE order the green beans if you want a side of veggies with your dumplings, you won't regret it. Cream cheese wontons: best I've ever had Bbq pork buns here have my heart. They're so sweet and delicious. We could not pick which dumplings were our favorite, you seriously can't go wrong here. The staff is really sweet and service was FAST

Yelp
OK, so my wife found this place and this place is a local gem. It's kind of hidden in the Montclair mall shopping area, but once you order and get your food you realize they can't hide anything but their location. Their food was amazing we ordered spicy dumplings Steamed buns, cucumbers, house fried rice with pork, and the string beans oh my God. Their food was not only super fast, it was delicious, and we got a table in five minutes or less. They didn't mess around from the time we got in there, they greeted us properly, they got us a table right away, got us some drinks right away, Recommended some items off the menu, and before we knew it food was arriving. We recently went to a large chain dumpling house and waited 2 1/2 hours for a table, and every dumpling there taste the same, You will not find that here. Food was on point, the interior decor was playing but that's OK with me because obviously they put more emphasis in what they serve you to eat which is the whole reason you went there anyway We will be back, their prices are fair, but again great job food was great look forward to our next time

Yelp
Really good veggie chow mein and dumplings. Very nice gentleman at the counter when we came to get the take out. Recommended!

Yelp
We originally intended to dine elsewhere, but the unbearable traffic led us to discover this hidden gem as we exited the freeway. What a fortuitous decision it turned out to be! I'm not certain if this establishment is newly opened, but a "grand opening" sign adorned its entrance. The place exuded cleanliness and impeccable upkeep. Upon perusing the menu, we received exceptional assistance from both our server and what I believe was the manager. Their kindness and guidance were truly commendable. Ultimately, we decided on ordering the dumplings, fried rice, and chow mein - a choice that did not disappoint in the slightest! This place is undoubtedly a hidden gem, and I'm eagerly anticipating my next visit.

Yelp
Anyone who says this place isn't comparable to DTF or Thumbling does not know what they're talking about! It's giving you only eat Americanized Asian food and don't know what authentic tastes like. The food here is very good. The amount of food offerings their menu has alone is way more than enough to say this place is better than DTF or Thumbling. It's as if DTF, Thumbling, Panda Inn, Sam Woo, and Dim Sum 888 had a child. You know how amazing and rare it is to be able to find a restaurant in this area that actually serves good Asian food? Now I don't have to drive all the way out to the SGV to get a craving satisfied. You get Shumai, Soup Dumplings, Green Onion Pancake, Beef Chow Fun, Cucumber Salad, Wonton Soup, Fried Dumplings (Potstickers), Egg Drop Soup, Spicy Wontons, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Red Bean Buns, and so. much. more. The quality and taste of the food was very good. There was not a single dish we did not enjoy. We can't wait to go back to try more foods. If you care about service in your Yelp reviews, the service here was really good too. All the staff were very nice and our server was extremely attentive and patient with us as we tried to not order everything on the menu. The place is pretty plainly decorated but it's cute and quaint. You're not really here for the decor anyways, you're here to eat -- and eat good! The place is also pretty clean and some of the staff seem to take even extra sanitary precautions, which I admire and appreciate. I also love the booths a lot. The cushions are nice and firm, and the best part is the height of the tables themselves! They're not low, so you can save your back and neck because you don't have to bend over your food as you eat.

Yelp
The restaurant is spacious and clean inside. The staff there were extremely friendly! I love that the dim sum type of plates were available as a regular menu item. The orange chicken is delicious. The cucumber salad was tasty and crunchy. The shrimp tempura was very good. The XLB soup dumplings were the best I've ever had and none of them broke! The siu mai was very good too! They make them a bit different here and add corn, but it was delicious. The only food item that we did not enjoy were the sesame noodles but it could be that we just aren't used to that style of dry noodles. Overall, the food was delicious and I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Wanted to try a different Chinese spot than where we go regularly and found this on Yelp. We enjoyed the XLB, they were made well...soupy and the wrap was not too thick. The pan-fried dumplings were good too. We found the fried rice and noodles to be a bit salty. Our favorite was the simple stir-fried broccoli. It was delicious, just the way my mom used to make it. Overall, good service and decent. If we're in the area, we'll go back and try some other items.
