Definitely five stars. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner at the new location on cascade. I have this sandwich called the hot mess. We are very happy to have this new business on the West End! Delicious sandwich and all of the ingredients were very good. He also has his own signature barbecue sauces

We just came to try this spot out to support a new business in the area and was throughly disappointed smh. Upon entering we wasn’t greeted and if we wasn’t about to leave we would of never knew he was there. The chicken was hard and didn’t taste fresh and it was 12pm today. The sides was ok.

I live local and drove past this on the regular, kept telling myself I needed to go in. I should have done so earlier. I ordered the rib dinner with fries and collards and while the generous cut of ribs was heavy on the bark (a thing I like, good solid ring of smoke on the meat and all that comes with it) the thing that really say me back down was the silkiest collards I've had in a minute. Good spiciness to them, too. Chipotle sauce was sweet and heat with more sweet than heat and I'll be trying to mustard sauce next. Young lady behind the counter was incredibly friendly, honest about the challenges of opening a restaurant in the Time of Corona AND doing so next to building under renovations. I'll definitely be back, and with company.

Got home and it was raw cooked in oven and Ribs taste like lighter fluid potatoes salad taste like mayo and beans taste like pork n beans very nasty I wasted 45 dollars the fries burnt smoke wings are not done I'm to mad I gotta buy food from some where else.. if I see them again it's going down I bet I bond out for these cats playing like this

Nope, I had no business eating any of this food! -LOL but it was soooooooooo good! 2 Boy's BBQ is a must try restaurant, we arrived on a Saturday evening near noon, I could see and smell the smoke before we emerged from our vehicle, the delightful aroma of BBQ! Greeted by the owner..... Of course I had to go for the ribs, I wanted to try the Mac and cheese and collards but the Mac and cheese wasn't ready just yet, so I settled for the potato salad and baked beans which were also great choices. My guy ordered wings, collards and fries, So of course I had to taste his collards and they were amazing. The ribs were cooked to perfection. The restaurant was extremely clean, and well put together, he said they are open late on the weekends, which would make for a great after hours chill spot. Full bar, draft beer of tap! This place is definitely a great addition to the redevelopment of this area! Check them out- I know that I will definitely be back!

Never been to an actual restaurant, but did the see the food truck outside the Fulton County government building. It was just ok. The food seemed a little over priced, but meat portions looked really huge when other people opened their plates. I got a veggie plate. Again, the food was just ok. I was disappointed because baked beans and collard greens definitely gave me "canned" vibes, just jazzed up with spices, seasonings, etc. The greens especially were chopped extremely small, was very dark and overcooked...like from a can. Also, the potato salad had what tasted like bacon in it which was a first for me. Never seen meat in potato salad. As someone who got a veggie plate, being told there would be meat in the potato salad would have been helpful. Also, the potato salad was overdressed with mayo. I couldn't eat it. The fries were over seasoned and salty. The mac & cheese was just ok...not great, but not terrible either. However, I don't think I would patronize again.

This restaurant deserves 0 stars. I ordered smoked wings, texas toast, baked beans, and french fries. The wings were OVERCOOKED, DRY, and EXTRA TINY(i.e size of rat legs) than the average wing. The toast HAD MOLD on three areas of the bread. The backed beans were COLD and BITTER. I called the restaurant and spoke with the owner and instead of apologizing, his response was, " WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT?" **PLEASE INSPECT YOUR FOOD BEFORE EATING**

This place is an amazing addition to downtown. The staff is very friendly, especially the owner Al. Stumbled across it one afternoon when the smoker was out front on Mitchell and have yet to try anything there that isn't delicious! Especially the spicy collards (best I've ever had) and Mac and cheese. Note: ask the server what special sides they have as certain things Al only whips up when the mood strikes him. Good food at fair prices in a pleasant atmosphere with blues playing. What more could you ask for? If it tells you anything I walk three blocks past another well known BBQ place to eat here!

Sad to say they don't even exist. I followed the GPS to the listed location and there was nothing there but a barber shop. I even went inside the barber shop thinking maybe they were a joint establishment but no. Turned out to be a hoax unfortunately. I really wanted to try their BBQ chicken quesadillas too.

So I've given this place 2 tries so far. The first time I got the brisket meal. The brisket was smokey, but tough! I'm not sure if they'd overcooked it or if it was just poor quality meat but I found to be a waste of money. The cole slaw was pretty good; it's vinegar based. The second time I took advantage of their Monday lunch special. I got the pulled chicken and the portion was plentiful. The sauce comes on the side and I definitely could have used a little more of it, but it was actually pretty good. Smokey, moist... a VERY good deal for $5. When I crave a little bbq and I'm in the area, I'll stop by again.

I ordered this once on a random saturday via uber eats and was pleasantly surprised. Im not really a night person so the hours are strange to me addi it only opens after 5. But i ordered some braised wings and it came with some collards. The collards are hands down great. Spicy but good. It was a good first experience and I will definitely try it again.

This is the best BBQ I've had in Atl. No gimmicky hot Q. Just Southern smoked Q. The place even smells right. The Brunswick Stew is incredibly flavorful. I must say my lunch made Jury Duty a pleasure. The question is can I go home without picking up dinner? We will see.

I try to always support new BBQ places but I fear I cannot ever patronize 2 Boys again. The ribs were incredibly tough. Practically uncooked! Which was surprising because there was some beautiful char on them. The macaroni and cheese was passable, but not good. And that is being generous. The baked beans were unecessarily spicy, and not in a way that added flavor, just blindly spicy. And then there are the greens...the horrible horrible greens. My fiance didn't even finish them! One redeeming menu item, which is key to bbq, was the sauce. We tried a spicy sauce and a sweet smoky sauce and both were wonderful. If only I had been pouring it over tender ribs!

The food was amazing. Best brisket in the city. Everything I tried on the menu has been amazing. I've been waiting for a great bbq restaurant on this side of town. If you want real bbq look no further. The sides are great two. Best fried okra I've ever had.

Great food! Great atmosphere! I'll be back. First got a taste at an event called Rhythm and Chew but it didn't compare to the full restaurant experience.

I had a different experience then some others, which was good thing. We were walking in the neighborhood and smelled the ribs cooking in the smoker and decided to come in. The gentleman at the door was running the place along with his son as assistants. We placed our order and when the food came out the ribs, collard greens, chicken and corn looked amazing. Not only did it look amazing it tasted amazing. My daughter said it tasted better than it looked. I'll definitely come back!

What the heck is this joint????? I decided to stop by on a Friday evening, 6:45pm, all the signs said open. There's a gentleman in need of some serious dental work sitting inside watching tv with a phone next to him, and the door is locked. So. I call. He answers. I say, I'm outside your door, knocking. He says, I know. I ask what's going on, he says they have no food, and to come back tomorrow. Yeah. Sure I will. Fail.

I ate here for lunch and the food was disgusting. The pulled chicken tasted dry and was over-smoked, the green beans tasted like they were straight from a can, and the Lexington style red coleslaw was essentially bagged cabbage mixed with ketchup, vinegar, and sugar. Based on the taste, texture, and the temp of the chicken when it came out I am willing to bet that chicken was heated in the microwave before being served. When I asked for extra napkins I was brought a small stack of beverage napkins that you normally put under your drink glasses. First off what kinds BBQ joint gives you beverage napkins to eat with? Second, if you have to give a customer beverage napkins for their food please make sure the don't have brown stains on them like mine did. These napkins obviously had some type of dark liquid spilled on them previously which is downright disgusting. I've been to hundreds of BBQ restaurants in my life and this one is ranked very close to bottom for me. And and one more thing, how do you FU** up iced tea? It was very watered down and had very little color or taste to it. Seriously if you can't make iced tea you certainly have no business attempting to cook BBQ. I'd rather eat at Sonny's BBQ than this place and I find Sonny's gross which is still a few steps higher than what I rate this place.

Man Oh Man was this burnt-bq terrible!!! I stopped in on my lunch break since i could see the grills smoking from the street. I should've known better as the owner was sitting out front looking like a guy that does odd jobs. As I walked in i was greeted by two young boys that appeared to between the ages of seven and ten,one of which took my order then ranged me up. Okay lets get to the food I ordered half a bird potato salad and baked beans. The chicken was charred as if it had been on the the grill two days without ever being looked at. The potato salad wasn't bad it just had what appeared to be slices of pickle instead of diced ones. The baked bean was something else though! They were spicy as heck and had whole peppers in them, the kind you find on the table at some soul food restaurants the tiny green peppers. Now I know why he tied a double knot in the bag it was because what was inside should have been thrown out! When you see the grills smoking keep on coasting!!!

Damn good BBQ! I have tried the places in downtown and this one wins my vote! The corn on the cob was seasoned just right and the pork was delicious! The family who runs this place is also super nice! If you are stuck at one of the courthouses, then this is the place to go

I was REALLY excited about eating here, but ended up being VERY disappointed. I ordered smoked wings, baked beans, and corn on the cob. My wings were hard, crispy, and black. I called the restaurant and AL, the owner, apologized and promised to take care of me. Because of his great attitude, I will give them another shot in the future.

I stopped in for a quick lunch while at the Courthouse during a trial. Server was awesome and the pulled pork sandwich and spicy baked been a were too! Pleasant surprise and much needed in the area. I'll be back and making this my lunch spot when I'm in Court from now on.

The pulled chicken salad is amazing. The baked beans are great as well. Great service. The owner Al was very nice. A great place to get some BBQ at lunch, especially if you're around the downtown city hall area. Support your local businesses!!!

Can I curse! Ish so good I had to stop mid stream. Wanted to let the meat marinade on the bread and eat it when I got home. Cause this food will make you sleep! Plus, try the Chipotle sauce. Potato salad like Mom makes it. Beans on point. I had the pulled pork. Plan to try all menu items. Definitely a winner!

We had a few meats, all were pretty dry. Atmosphere was good and Owner was very nice but it didn't make up for the so so BBQ.

So I'm really big on giving my review on food I try for the first time I work downtown so I have a pretty decent number of spots to choose from I decided since its beautiful outside i would walk to find lunch so as I'm walking I came across this place and immediately didn't hesitate because my taste buds wanted real homemade cook out , family reunion Bbq and that's EXACTLY what I got. The pulled chicken , potato salad, green beans, fried okra, and the apple cobbler was TO DIE FOR. The Mac n cheese is good as well but it had a lot of oil. I really am enjoying this meal right now.

Went to 2 Boy's BBQ and left without ordering! I was appalled when the server refused to bring me a glass of tap water! You have to buy water because the owner stated it is too much work for his servers to go back and forth to the kitchen to get paying customers a glass of WATER! Just CRAZY!

I was at Sams Club today and this restaurant had a set up at the entrance. I skipped lunch so I was starving like hell. You know that feeling right?? They had a few offerings while promoting a new BBQ sauce for another company. I decided to get the ribs. It was 4 bones and 2 pieces pf bread. $7 plus tip, which was priced reasonably. I was eagerly anticipating because the smell was awesome. Doesn't smoked meat always smell awesome though?? I locked myself in my car and settled in for what I thought was going to be the highlight of my day. Sigh... all I tasted was char. The flavor was underwhelming at best. The guy was really nice but the food, not so much.

This little #BBQ pit in the wall was a great first contact spot of ATL for me and aside from tasty food (breakfast too) Al, the owner, takes real nice care with some Southern charm. If you are visiting it is a perfect spot to support local business and if you are a resident they deliver too (grub hub)!

Service was excellent. The owner was extremely personable and nice to me, as well as his staff. Love supporting local business (non-chain restaurants). Peach cobbler with ice cream was by far the best item on the menu. BBQ was good. Coleslaw was seasoned well and tasted good, too. Only disappointment was the brunswick stew - too watery for me. I prefer a thicker consistency. To compare, the best I ever had was from Harold's BBQ in Atlanta (now closed). Overall, pretty good. Would recommend if you are in the area -- right down the street from the Fulton county Courthouse.

Good service, really nice guy. ribs were awful. I had to throw them away. terrible texture and taste. smoked but no other season, marinade. I think the meat was old. good HOT bake beans. did not like the slaw--not enough dressing. I will try something different from the menu since I LOVE bbq and work close by. Truly hope I can change this rating.

Very good addition to downtown for quick and genuine bbq. Great brisket and brunswick stew.

Good customer service and smelled good. The food has some areas to improve. The ribs were quite chewy and were not cut for easy eating. The wings were drummies. Collards are spicy but we enjoyed them. The brisket was good. Unfortuately, we ordered the last of the brisket and did not get a full serving. They should have not served it or offered another item to supplement it. We will probably give it another try but hope for a better experience.

The food was tasty but unfortunately I got food poisoning from this restaurant. I ordered the pork rib plate last night. I've been vomiting and pissing out of my ass ever since.

Absolutely disappointed in this bbq. Got the pork ribs and pulled pork. Smelled great but wow I've never eaten rubber before but I have to assume it's a lot like the ribs. The pulled pork was alright. Very dry though. You could tell that both dishes had poor quality meat and definitely were over cooked. Never had bbq this bad before. Hope whoever runs 2 boys bbq see this and makes some changes. Get better meat and learn how to bbq.

Great food and service. My mom and I were walking by and stopped to have dinner. Ribs were tasty as well as the smoke half chicken. Service was Excellent. Sorry I didn't get any of the cobbler (sold out). Will definitely go back to 2 Boys BBQ.

Great bbq ribs and stew. I love authentic bbq and this place has it. Hard to find a great meal near the Courthouse /Government center, but this restaurant is worth visiting. The service was fast and friendly. The prices very reasonable. Only complaint which reduced by one star was the AC wasn't working.

worst place ever. i ordered online and they "delayed" the order for over an hour. after i finally called up asking when the deliverer was leaving the store they informed me the order was canceled. what in the world. do not order from here if you're actually expecting food, cuz you won't get it. 0/10 will never order from here again.

Please, please do not go here unless it's part of some kind of weird, self flagellation. I know it's hard to run a successful restaurant. I know it's next to impossible to be mentioned in the same breath as some of the great BBQ restaurants in GA. All that said: I received pre-made, possibly bought in bulk and reheated "pork loins." Strike one. But every restaurant has one weak dish. Maybe I was just unlucky enough to get theirs. Onto the mac and cheese. It's pretty bad without a bunch of sauce dumped on it. Strike two. Okay so we're not doing great here, and my fiance is having trouble gnawing through her shoe-leather ribs...but there's always the collards. Any BBQ restaurant worth the salt they put in the sauce can put forth passable collard greens. They were inedible. I've rarely encountered anything I couldn't choke down. Even rotten food has passed my pallet. Not these. The collards were completely inedible. All of this was confirmed by my increasingly frantic fiance who asked me to try her baked beans...to see how bad they were. Considering the rest of my meal, I wasn't interested, and just assumed she was right. Strike three, four, five, six, seven, interception, botched punt, own goal, whatever. Don't eat here. I wouldn't for free.

Thought I'd try them. Bad mistake! I dialed UberEats to the rescue. My order was on time but that's about all. When Uber driver handed me the food, I thought, this is mighty "light" for BBQ ribs. Upon opening, was greeted with the heavily charred BRISKET, which I did not order. Not a rib bone in sight. Very tough meat, full of gristle, half cooked. Was it buffalo meat?! I don't know what the sauce was, but I know it wasn't BBQ sauce! Man, what a disappointment. The baked beans were much too hot and spicy (for a senior citizen, ME! LOL) and the cold slaw pieces were too big and it looked like it was a few days old, the smell wasn't too good, either. Well, you know, that piece of Texas Toast was half burnt too. Am I to understand that there are people who love charred meat? Whole thing was a bummer. And I had to pay UberEats to bring me this. Just as I was about to ask for a refund, I was told "we can't refund your money." No offer of giving me something in place of this wrong order, nothing! Won't try those "Boys" again! I'M DONE!
