A popular name on the island, offering Italian menus and modern seafood specialties. Having dined here before, I found this visit even more enjoyable, with noticeable improvements in flavour and food quality. The restaurant is spacious, well-arranged and dining here is undoubtedly comfy (although busy). I particularly liked the open kitchen concept. Fresh and inviting decor- with refreshing sea views overlooking the Fisherman's Village in the distance.
The staff communicate well in English. I found that the explanation behind the menus is more thorough this time, and the staff are able to provide clearer idea of the dishes here. To the food, all the dishes here were incredible. Though, I found the carbonara a bit heavy on the salt and the spaghetti somewhat brittle. The wines were well prepared and served nicely at the right temperature.
Since companions and I enjoyed the dinner in shared meal, it would have been thoughtful of the management if additional cutlery / communal spoons / forks had been provided for each and every dish. This part of the service is yet again overlooked, despite my multiple visits. That said the staff are generally attentive and helpful, even during the busy atmosphere.
Overall the dishes were great and freshly prepared. The mixed seafood platter and the grilled golden snapper were the stars of the show - for personal highlights. The cabbage with anchovy and cream was surprisingly refreshing and flavourful - surely worthy of mention. With hospitality touchup, the experience would really be 5 stars.
