I’ve visited this place twice—while the first visit was truly excellent, the second was a bit disappointing. The grilled fish we had on our first visit was fantastic, and the staff were attentive, kind, and helpful. That great experience is why we decided to return, this time with a group of visiting friends and a toddler. We arrived quite late, around 9:20 PM, but the Google listing said the restaurant was open until 11 PM.
Upon arrival, the manager informed us they actually close at 10 PM but said he would let us in. However, he also made it clear that service would be rushed due to how busy they were—which didn’t feel like the warmest welcome. One of our friends, who is Italian and knows the chef, helped us settle in, but unfortunately, the grilled fish we came for was already sold out.
Trying to make things easier, we attempted to place our order quickly. However, the manager told my friend he’d ask a server to take the order instead, saying they’d “probably be better at it,” which came off as a bit dismissive. We did our best to enjoy the meal, but overall, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The food was still decent, though noticeably saltier than our previous visit.
As we were leaving, we overheard an argument between another customer and the owner at the reception, which added to the awkward vibe that evening. Overall, the second visit just didn’t live up to the first, and it left us with mixed feelings…
