This hotel is conveniently located between Surry Hills and the Central Station, so it is easy to navigate around and take public transport to any other town in Sydney. A big plus to its strategic location.
Staff are friendly, cooperative and helpful. They ensure the guests are catered for and try their best to accommodate your concerns.
Breakfast is continental and doesn’t include hot dishes, but tastes well. There’s no complimentary water in the room, it is $5/bottle. Amenities are provided, along with tea and coffee for the room.
One of my major concerns during my 4 nights stay was cleanliness. The room service team needs a major course on hotel management. The hotel is beautifully decorated, but the cleaning staff are doing bare minimum. There’s a ton of dust and litter in visible (desk) and hidden corners (under the bed). Additionally, when they do the room service, don’t expect them to collect used cups, plump the pillows or add room freshener. They’ll simply clean the bathroom and adjust the duvets, forget the pillows. They also don’t always empty the bin. One morning I walked from the shower to the carpet barefoot and my feet were all grey from the dust not cleaned since the Middle Ages.
It is a perfect place for business travellers or those staying up to 2 nights, but I wouldn’t recommend for tourists, as they’ll eventually start to notice the inconveniences.
Overall, good stay apart from the dust issue that can easily be resolved.
