We finally got to try S&T steakhouse, and we were not disappointed. We went there on a Tuesday evening, so it was relatively quiet. We brought our own bottle of wine, which makes things so much more affordable. The food was so good! We shared a fillet that came with perfectly sautéed vegetables. Love the sauces on the side. Mashed potatoes were perfect. The biggest pleasant surprise was the tostadas as an appetizer. We had two vegetable tostadas and it was so fresh. I would come back just for those. The service was so warm and friendly. They were genuinely happy we were there. It's a bright, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely return.

So I've driven past this place a million times and always said one day I'm gonna eat there. Today was that day. From the moment we walked in everything was great. The place is very low key. Very intimate. Great date spot. You don't have to go downtown for a great steak. This place has it. The servers were very tentative to us. The steaks we had were amazing. They also came with a tostada that was amazing as well. The steaks came in a plate with 3 different dipping sauces that were each phenomenal. I will definitely come back there are other items on the menu that I must try.

One of the best steakhouses in Chicago and such a hidden gem in Bucktown. This place is BYOB and serves amazing ribeye and New York strip steaks. The steaks come with veggies and sauces. We ordered a side of mashed potatoes and tostadas. Everything was amazing!! The service was amazing as well. Will definitely return!

My new favorite place! Great Food? Yes! Great Service? Yes! Great ambiance? Yes! From start to finish it was lovely! The tostadas, the pasta, and, OMG the carrot cake. This restaurant has its own signature style. Will we go back? Yes!

Great spot! The food is amazing--ribeye, shrimp tacos, veggie tostadas, and pasta, all delicious. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. Plus, it's BYOB which makes it even better. Definitely worth it!

Amazing! It's a small location, as well as a BYOB. We really should've stopped and purchased a bottle of wine. But either way the waitress was very attentive. The steaks are very flavorful. One of their most impressive items were the tostadas. You can choose between chicken or steak. I had chicken and the sauce the dress it with was so tasty. I will definitely be coming back here.

Admittedly, our party only ordered a round of salads and appetizers given our time constraint for an engagement afterwards, but I am angling to get back as soon as possible. Our waiter, Armando, made the difference. Everything was perfect. Well done, S&T.

Terrific quality steaks. Had ribeye and NY strip medium and both were tender and flavorful. High end steakhouse food without the stuffy scene. This is a 20 seater restaurant with only one waitress (Maria) who was quick attentive and friendly. Reservations suggested. It's also BYOB

For some reason, I was in my feels this day and needed a break. So to practice self-care, I took myself on a date. I don't live too far from S & T, so I decided to check it out myself. This place is so cute and petite, with an unmistakable modern Interior with a hint Mexican inspired decor. The restaurant was opening up, so I had no issue with seating. The wait staff was terrific and super enthusiastic and kind. I was immediately greeted with some bread and a chicken tostada. The tostada was sweet and spicy, which I thought was exciting but grew on me. My only setback was the temperature of the sauce. I can tell it was maybe refrigerated, which made the tostada somewhat cold on the first few bites, but the chicken was warm, so it balanced itself out. For the main course, I got the rib-eyed steak with a baked potato side of Asparagus and broccoli. The steak was cooked to perfection. Very Juicy and tender, I asked for A1 sauce but barely used it. I also loved the veggies and the seasoning. I think the baked potatoes could have been cooked a bit longer, but other than that, it was all great, and I adored the plating. Overall it was a great experience, and I hope more people find this gem of a restaurant. I will note this place is BYOB, so take full advantage on your next date. 4 1/2 out of 5

This place was charming, delicious and a good value. I had NO idea that "S&T" stands for "Steak and Tostadas". We had reservations on a tuesday night, it wasn't busy, but neither was it empty. Teeny tiny place with maybe six 2 -top tables and a couple 4-tops, no bar or area to wait and while there is a podium at the hostess stand, there is no hostess nor room for one. I think our singular waitress was running the entire front of house - she was fantastic; professional with a warm smile. I would imagine Thurs-Sat they are probably pretty full and probably have an additional person on the floor. BYOB - makes for an economical night out for REALLY good steak. For 2 of us, we split the 14 oz NY strip, along with sides of mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. The steak came with 3 salsas, grilled veggies and a tostada (chicken) and we ordered a separate one (shrimp) to eat as appetizers. The menu is small and focused, which i appreciate. The steak was EXCELLENT quality, rich and meaty, nice and thick, and perfectly seasoned; it was enhanced only by the absolutely delicious home made salsas - no salt or pepper was required at all. We ordered the steak medium rare, and it was on the rare side of medium rare. It was perfect for me, my dining companion leans more towards medium but the steak was so delicious they happily enjoyed it as is. The sides were great, and not overdone, allowing the focus and shine to be on the steak. The tostadas were the sleeper hit - a perfect, small bite, crispy, savory and refreshing, bursting with flavor (whomever says these are bland has zero taste buds) - i could have put away SEVERAL of those. We skipped dessert this time, but I definitely want to come back and try everything on the menu. Outstanding! The only thing I didn't love was the Latin-tinged musak, but appreciated that the volume was conducive to conversation.

One of the best steaks I've ever had. Perfectly cooked through and through at med rare. Soup was also delicious. Bonus tostada was a great side! Service was great. BYOB worked out amazing. 10/10 would recommend. Not even mad there was no tiramasu

S & T is an absolute hidden gem. It's a small, intimate environment with incredible steak, seafood and pasta, and the tostada appetizers are a great touch. It's BYOB, so bring a bottle or two of wine from home. The service is always incredibly attentive and friendly. I've come here with groups of sizes anywhere from 2 to 7 people and everyone has come away from it having really enjoyed their experience. The prices are more than reasonable, especially considering that there's no BYOB corkage fee. I recommend this place to anyone!

The coziest and most hospitable steakhouse I've ever been to. The staff is super sweet and attentive the food was amazing and their tostadas are the sweetest touch. Everyone loved their dishes and its also byob!

My husband and I went here for his birthday and had a great time! We both got the filet Mignon and I also had the lobster tail, the food also came with complimentary tostadas. All of the food was amazing except the asparagus it was overcooked but the steaks were phenomenal the sauces were really good, roasted potatoes were also great. The service was good and this place is BYOB, I definitely plan to go back!!

My boyfriend had made this reservation after hearing so many great reviews about it. We arrived to see a nice intimate space. There is a BYOB in place or having cocktails so we opted for a bottle of wine that we had saved for such occasion. Our steak came with a complementary tostada which was just okay in my opinion. My steak however was cooked perfectly and had all the right flavors as it paired well with the salsas! I would return solely for the steak and the atmosphere alone. The desert is the reason this gets a 4/5, it felt as though I was cutting into something that was just taken out of the freezer and drizzled with chocolate sauce. Overall fairly impressed with our main meal.

This place is AMAZING. My partner is still talking about it a week later. The steaks were perfectly cooked. He had the rib-eye, I had the filet mignon. The flavors were perfection, especially the SALSA. I never would have thought to put salsa on a steak, but it was DELICIOUS. And, the tostadas! Crunchy, tasty, flavors blended perfectly, presentation was gorgeous. Exactly the right size. Speaking of the right size, the restaurant is small and intimate, perfect for my birthday date night. Yuli, our server, was bright and attentive, fun and adorable. We demanded to speak to the chef, and our demands were met; Yari is the most delightful person and I could tell how much care and love is in the food just from our conversation. They even gifted me a slice of cake for my birthday, and again, surprising but delightful mix of flavors! Carrot cake that was not too dense or too crunchy, icing was not too sweet and layered in the perfect amount, garnished with raspberry syrup. Why was there raspberry? I don't know, and I don't care. It was perfection. Everything is perfect. Yari is perfect. Yuli is perfect. S&T is PERFECT. If I could give this place ten SHOOTING STARS I would!

Where do I begin.. AMAZING! The food, that atmosphere, everything ! So excited I found this gem. I was there tonight for Valentine's Day and it was truly a great experience. If you're looking for a nice date and delicious food, this is it !

Just realized I do not have any pictures of the food from last night but I came here for my birthday and loved it! The waitress was super nice and the food was perfect. Tostada was a nice little appetizer and the salsas for the steak were delicious. Cute little restaurant that is definitely worth checking out. Also love that it is BYOB!

This place is the best hidden gem in Chicago. Best steak I have ever had. The tostadas were amazing. The rice with the peppers and onions was fabulous. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone Looking for a great steakhouse.

This place is a neighborhood hidden gem! It's strange to not see many customers because the food is absolutely delicious!!! I came with a few friends on a Friday night and had such a good, relaxed time. We had the mango and tamarind wings, beef and chicken tostadas, cheeseburger and steak burger. All were tasty. I'll definitely be back to try the filet mignon and order out the wings as a snack regularly. And it's BYOB! Great attentive customer service. This is a solid place for a chill night out, give it a try!

A new cozy neighborhood steak restaurant that delivers on personal service and taste! The ambiance is simple, very clean, and relaxing with the music playing and warm breeze coming thru the open accordion windows. For a small party of three, we ordered the ribeye with the additional lobster tail and bbq wings. With all the sides that the entree comes with, the order was more than enough for us all. The signature 'Yari's Sweet and Tangy Tostada' was distinct and refreshing. The bbq wings and lobster tail were nicely grilled. The garlic butter sauce that accompanied the lobster tail had just enough spice too! The desserts are reasonable and very tasty. If you're a carrot cake person, it's definitely moist. It's a must try! We'll definitely be back because of the combination of the great food, service, ambiance and BYOB! Where can you find a steak restaurant combined with BYOB? Our waitress Yuli was delightful. If you're considering coming to S&Teak, try it out and you won't be disappointed. An added plus for COVID is the fully open air window!

I came here with my boyfriend, and was very impressed with the service, food, and such friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend, although it's a BYOB I would go again.

This place is amazing! Truly a hidden gem in a great location. We loved the salmon, steak, asparagus and mashed potatoes. The service was fantastic and loved that it was BYOB! Perfect anniversary dinner!

I am all about good vibes, and believe me when I say, this place has good vibes. The food was so good - the wait staff was so much fun and so happy - and the music and open windows letting in that first hint of Chicago spring/summer had me feeling so right. Got to bring my own wine which was a subdued portuguese wine and it paired amazingly with all the tostadas and the steak. If I could give this a 6/5 I would. I want this place to do so well because of how great the vibes were but I almost don't want it to blow up because I'll always want a table when I'm in the mood for good vibes and good eats.

BYOB with outstanding, personalized service with unique latin inspired entrees. Tostadas are very well put together and flavorful. I had the ribs and they were much plumper and easier to eat than a traditional rack you'd find at many BBQ places. The wings were well presented and tasty. My friend had the catch of the day (salmon) and it was great. Next time I'm in there I'll be trying the steaks.

Very cute, intimate dining room is a perfect atmosphere for a date night or a dinner with friends. The hostess/waitress was beyond nice and accommodating. The ribeye and fillet were cooked to perfection and flavored spot on. The three dipping sauces that came with the steaks were a great addition and plenty of flavor (especially loved the mango one). The tostada to start was full of flavor. The pescatarian in the group got the pasta and loved it as well! To go on top it's BYOB so could bring your own wine to go with the steak! Couldn't recommend this place any more.

Had a great time there were 9 of us (not a quiet bunch) the staff was incredible patient and the food was awesome. Loved my Pasta with added Ribeye! Can't wait for our next visit.

Excellent service, food was delicious, ambiance was a little off because there was a big loud party and we got stuck at a tiny inconveniently situated table but our service was very good and the tostada's were amazing!

This place is awesome! We were driving by and decided to stop in, and were so glad we did. The food was fantastic. The hamburger was the best I have had in a very long time. Perfectly cooked, and well flavored. So glad to see the space being utilized again. The tostada had a great flavor combination. We will definitely return for a steak dinner, and highly recommend.

Ate for the 1st time at S & Teak Fine Dining tonight (in the old Bento Box spot on Armitage). We highly recommend it! I had the salmon and my husband had the ribeye sandwich as our mains. Also had corn (yum!), chicken wings, tostadas, and cream of broccoli soup. It's really a pretty place. BYOB wine and beer. The chef/owner and server/hostess were both so nice. Armitage is kind of a mess with construction right now but we found free parking easily on a side street. We will be back soon. Go support a new restaurant and enjoy a great meal!
