24 Hrs Ming Fa Fishball Noodles (Upper Thomson)

Very decent environment, floor & table all very clean! Portion is very generous too! mee bok in the Bak Chor Mee is nicely cooked! sauce is slightly on the saltier end but with soup, its fine! sauce in fish ball noodle is sour, tangy, appetising kind! too sour just add soup to dilute it to make it suitable for your taste! meat ball > fish ball anytime for me!

Supposedly good? Initially, I was quite excited to patronise this place as there were some good reviews concerning their noodles. I ordered the big Mini wok noodles and added extra portion of Fuchow fish ball with meat inside. I was quite surprised as the price pretty steep of 2 balls when I paid additional $3 for it. I am a typical Singaporean who is willing to pay when the food is good. So I going to give it a miss concerning the Fuchow Fishball. However, the experience was rather disappointing. First, the noodles and soup were very salty and surprisingly the meat inside the Fuchow Fishballs is sweet. It tasted very bad. The extra crispy pork lard were bitter. I am very disappointed with this place and I won't come back.

My usual haunt for late night noodles, and I usually love to add an order of their chicken cutlet. But was sorely disappointed - seems like the receipe has changed? A bigger portion and thicker cut of meat is used. The whole cutlet was so stall. I couldn’t even bite into it. Had to rip it into half while biting down. Chicken was dry and stringy. Noodles are still good thou.

Ordered mini pot. Ingredients were generous and had variety. The soup doesn’t taste too salty. Right amount of vinegar. Noodles cooked perfectly. Pork lard are good addition to the overall flavor.

Famous place for supper! Few years no come but still serve decent noodles and laksa. A place to be for night owls.

Absolutely loved Ming Fa Fishball! Their fishballs are super bouncy, not the starchy kind. The mixed pot offers a hearty variety of meats and veggies, and their platter is crispy and flavorful. Plus, they’re open 24/7—perfect for late-night cravings. Great value and highly recommended!

A 24hr noodle joint?! Wow! Slightly pricey for fishball noodles but it’s in an eatery rather than a coffee shop. I got the chicken cutlet mined meat noodles (R), w chili and more vinegar, no liver. It was a good bowl of noodles! Ingredient portion is pretty good, and they’re generous with the gravy. Chicken cutlet adds a nice crunch to the dish. The noodle texture is medium, not soggy but not super springy/QQ. Overall, nice bowl of noodles, would revisit!

My fav fish ball noodles. The sauce is good. The noodles are good. It's should be a solid 5 stars

It was ok food.. everyone talks about it but honestly the noodles were soso and service was lacking. They served other people infront of us first and that really annoyed us. Their noodles were ok and their fishballs mediocre. Nothing I would travel far for. Probably won't come back in the future as I didn't think the food was worth the wait.

This outlet is open till late, which if I work late, I'll probably come here for my late supper. The noodles are cooked just right with the chewy bite. Price is quite reasonable, unless you additional ingredients to add.

Ming Fa Fishball is delicious and a great value hidden gem in Upper Thompson. My husband and I ordered both the dry and soup-based version of the classic fish ball noodles and were pleased with the efficiency, price, and flavor of the meal. Honestly, can't beat the price and quality of food! This is a great option for anyone wanting a quick lunchtime or evening meal. The restaurant has a historic background and has been around for a while, which you can read all about on the wall, so it is great to support a local delicious restaurant!

Delicious minced meat and mushroom noodles, or simply, bak chor mee! I ordered a no-frills version (no chilli, no vinegar, no ketchup). The small ($4.50) portion was hearty and generous. The noodles were nicely cooked and I spotted random pieces of sinful lard. The pieces of pork were tender and the one piece of meatball was lovely too. The dry version came with a bowl of soup with seaweed on the side. I'll be back for more!

Disaster. Are you ready for a 30 minute wait while they serve Deliveroo, GrabFood, Food Panda and pick up orders first? Do you want an ant in your soup? Give this a miss if you don't... or at least order from a delivery service and you'll probably get your food faster.
