Lovely establishment, great addition to the area. A few critiques I’d like to add… Although very flavorful, the ribeye was too fatty and lacked a good crust. The bread pudding should have also been served warm. Both of our desserts arrived at room temperature. Aside from those two issues, we enjoyed our dinner.

We absolutely loved everything about our experience at 243 South! The food, the atmosphere, the vibes — all perfect. We were celebrating Galentines, and our waitress was AMAZING and on board with us every step of the way. She made our night so fun, special, and memorable! Can’t wait to come back!

Atmosphere and Brunch was incredible. We had the fried green tomato BLT, eggs Benedict with pimento cheese and FGT and bottle service. We will be back. Michelle was wonderful.

We had a great experience at 243 South! The steak was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was very attentive, and even though it was our first time dining there, she made excellent recommendations. We tried the crab claws she suggested, and they were just as good as the steak. Everything from the service to the food was top-notch. We will definitely be coming back!

While the food itself was ok, the service was terrible, ruining any chance of a good evening. A party of three, we ordered drinks that didn’t arrive for nearly fifteen minutes. The appetizer showed up at the end of our meal, and the staff apologized for forgetting to bring it. The entrees were very overpriced. The ribeye steak was supposed to come with reduction sauce, and it was sadly forgotten. The soup didn’t come with a spoon. The menu says to ask the server for a list of the draft beer, but the waitress said there was no draft beer list. Instead, she named off a few beers and forgot the rest. Tables are too close together, so servers are forced to squeeze between guests. I had to ask multiple times to have my water refilled, something that should be done without asking. I can appreciate the attempt at something upscale in downtown Prattville; however, this restaurant clearly missed the mark. With better service, seating arrangement, and lower prices, I could see this restaurant being worthwhile. Unfortunately, it’s just another run-of-the-mill attempt at a classy experience.

We came on a Saturday night for date night and it was lovely. Live music, our waitress Brittany was great she gave service with a smile. Will definitely recommend and come again.

My husband and I went there last evening. The place is very small, However, it is so chic inside. It's very aesthetically pleasing and very cozy. Our waitress was so very knowledge of everything on the menu and she was such a great help! We ordered the fried green tomatoes and they were the best I've ever had! I ordered the hamburger my husband ordered the steak. My burger was a little too salty from my taste, but it was still tasty. Their fries are thick cut And they were delicious dunked in their homemade jalapeño ranch dressing. My husband said his steak was good, but the cut of meat could've been a little bit better for the price. I also ordered the espresso martini. It was divine! I would suggest that you make reservations because the place is so small. They do have specials each week and there is a bar. We would definitely go back!

The food is awesome. I love Bailey's service and attentiveness. I'll definitely be coming back.

Travel all around the country for work and have eaten a million steakhouses- this legitimately was the best steak I've ever eaten. The blueberry and wine baked in created a sweetness that did not overwhelm the filet. Excellently cooked . Sat at the bar, friendly bartenders. Food was slow, but for this quality take as long as you need

Love that a historic building was improved from its former life and is now a trendy restaurant and wine bar (and retailer). I have only been for lunch, but 243 serves Brunch, wine and appetizers/shareables, desserts and coffees, and a rotating seasonal menu. For lunch they have salads, rice bowls, lunch specials and entrees. I needed more veggies, so I had a Caesar salad with shrimp. Dressing was very tasty. And my half and half tea was brewed!! Our server was attentive and brought us new tea glasses when we were 3/4 low. Thank you!

We were trying this for a Sunday after church brunch. I have to admit the photos were much more high rating than the actual experience. The food we were served looked nothing like the photos. French toast was dry and much thicker than the picture(which was why I chose them) My husband loves a good salmon eggs Benedict. The eggs were more of a boiled egg and the salmon was not smoked.The grits he had as a side were unflavored.My son had the chicken and waffles and did clean his plate. The server was nice. Not somewhere we will be back too, for almost a hundred dollars.

Y'all, the new rebranded 243 south is amazing. Kim, Abby and Garret made our experience perfect. I don't take amazing pics so these don't do it justice go try it out. It will not disappoint. A great new addition to our "preferred community"

We were a party of eight and they quickly seated us at a large high top table near the bar which was perfect for a group of golfers. We tried the rib eye, filet, salmon and chicken. Everyone raved about their dinners. Our server Brittany was great. She quickly accommodated our requests and was still cheerful when we requested separate checks. Next time we golf in Prattville, we'll enjoy another dinner here.

5 stars not enough. First, service is excellent. So attentive and accommodating. The mushroom soup is OUTSTANDING. wedge salad perfect. Get the jalapeño ranch. Not hot at all. Ribeye perfectly cooked. Risotto was perfect and that is hard to do. Loved this place.

Food was fantastic and the drinks were perfect! The ladies at the bar (Vanessa and Brittney) were very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back.

We attended the soft lunch time opening yesterday. The lunch time options were a fabulous mix of anything you could desire. I had the chicken Milanese and my husband had the ahi tuna! All was delicious! The ambience is always wonderful. I highly recommend!

Chef Jeremy Johnson prepares an excellent fillet among other tasty food dishes and our Server Charlee was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy with a friendly feel that makes everything come together. Fantastic place to meet friends have cocktails and enjoy live entertainment. I highly recommended if you are in the Prattville Al area ( Montgomery Metro ) give it a try. I will certainly be back!

Outstanding service. I love love love the wedge salad. Clean & quaint. They made every request happen. A++. A true example of how hospitality is accomplished. Quality. Definitely on my to do list.

Cannot say enough about the atmosphere!! This is a posh big city restaurant close to home. The food was excellent the mixed drinks should keep you coming back. Everything was perfectly balanced. Put this at the top of your lists for date night!!

Very nice dining experience, the changes inside are wonderful for ambiance and comfort. This was our first time with the new 243 South and we enjoyed it. The menu was simple but complex, we tried the French onion soup which was perfect as was the Caesar salad. For the main course we chose the ribeye which came out cooked to order. For us no additional seasoning was needed for anything which is a good sign the chef and team are focused to deliver perfect courses. Thank you, we will be back.
