I came with my daughter, who is 12 years old, on the way to see Taylor Swift in New Orleans. She is a HUGE Gilmore Girls fan, and I was hoping to experience a bed and breakfast similar to the fun on Gilmore Girls. ||This did not fall short! We loved all the details, and the small intimate feeling of the home. Jimmy and Brian were welcoming, friendly, and made us feel at home. Breakfast was also delicious! We are thankful our first experience at a bed and breakfast was a memorable one.

We spent 2 nights and loved every minute! Jimmy and Brian were over-the-top with southern hospitality, great southern breakfasts (where do I began describing the home-cooked delicacies), and their attention to detail in every room and porch! |If you’re spending time in Shreveport, this can’t be missed. Thoroughly entertaining and comfortable. Can’t wait to return!

Our first Bed and Breakfast experience, and it won't be our last! I can't believe what we've been missing out on. Exquisite, absolutely breathtaking, and welcoming. It was literally a home away from home experience. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find out our suite had been upgraded at no additional charge. We stayed in the Vicki Gail suite. The decor, craftsmanship, and antiques throughout the home were incredible. Our suite was no different. Every amenity you could need was readily available, as well as amenities you didn't even realize you wanted were also available. So much thought and consideration went into our suite, and it showed. Breakfast was no joke. It was beyond exceptional! Breakfast was at 9AM and consisted of a homemade spread of biscuits, bacon, sausage, homestyle potatoes, crawfish tails in a type of gravy sauce, egg souffle, fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juices, coffee, fruit, lemon pound cake, an assortment of muffins, and homemade fried pies 😍😋 Everything was delicious and fresh. Hands-down one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. Jimmy and Brian were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They made you feel at home like a member of the family. Loved sipping coffee out on the balcony. There are so many places outside to sit and unwind. If I could rate beyond 5 stars, I would give 2439 Fairfield Bed & Breakfast 10 stars! It's definitely worth every penny

What a great place to stay. It is a real B&B experience! The rooms have antiques that are very nice and the breakfast is totally amazing! ||The owners are interesting to talk to and have a knack for customer service. The B&B is too unique to miss - so if you are traveling through the area this is the place.

A beautiful, serene, thoroughly pleasant experience, attributable partly to the lovely gardens and stately mansion, but equally to the warm but unintrusive hospitality provided by the proprietors, Jimmy and Brian. Their breakfast was nonpareil, but their friendly and welcoming manner was what will bring me back when my travels take me to North Louisiana again.

We wanted to try something different instead of the casino hotels and I'm glad that we did! The owners are beyond accommodating and the brunch was wonderful! While we ate Jimmy gave us a history lesson about Shreveport and suggested a few other things to do besides gambling, very much appreciated. Although we did not make our own coffee, the setup they have provided upstairs is very cute. We did however, sit on the patio early in the morning. The neighborhood is very very quiet. |With this being our first bed and breakfast we didn't know what to expect. There is something to see in every corner and the appreciation of the historical China, to the look and feel of the rooms, to all the plants and outdoor seating was definitely 5 stars for me.||I highly recommend staying here, Jimmy and Brian made this trip very memorable!

A perfect location close to the airport (less than 15 minutes) and my relatives. The house is "warm" and inviting. Spooky if you go downstairs at night to explore. Lots of wonderful antiques and memorabilia. Breakfast is served at a time for those who don't have departing flight before 10:30 am.

Southern hospitality and Southern charm are what you’ll get at 2439 Fairfield BnB! We stayed in the Alice Suite and the bed was comfy. The room and the entire house were clean with amazingly no dust considering all the antiques and nostalgic pieces throughout. For breakfast, we were served scrambled eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, fresh roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, fresh fruit, toasted English muffins, lemon bread, muffins, fresh perserves, cereal and milk along with fresh brewed coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and a variety of teas. To top it off, we were served individual fried pies with 5 different filling choices that were fried up fresh by Jimmy while we finished up breakfast. They were AMAZING! Thanks Jimmy and Brian for being great hosts. We will definitely be back. Couldn’t ask for a better pet friendly, quiet place to stay!

Yelp
We love this place when we come to Shreveport! Beautiful home, delicious breakfast, and very welcoming with Brian and Jimmy. This will forever be a special place for us to visit! We got married here in 2010!

Yelp
Our stay here was just perfect! Bryan and Jimmie were excellent hosts and the room was an eclectic collection of charming history. Breakfast was fresh and the dining area is set up with long and small tables so people get an opportunity to chat with other guests if they want to. Also Bryan had given us a terrific recommendation to go to Maybry's for a special meal. Definitely need to make a reservation here though! We will definitely stay at this B&B again ! Oh and a plus was they are dovgie friendly.

Yelp
We always look for a B&B when we travel, so we have stayed in quite a few over the past twenty years! Have to say this is now one of our favorite ever places! The home is in the historic part of Shreveport and just being in this neighborhood is a treat. We were there over Christmas and I have never seen a home decorated more beautifully for the holidays! I could write pages just about that - I suggest you just go stay there and enjoy it in person! We lucked out and got the suite for our room. Spacious, huge jacuzzi bathtub, robes, and best of all it opened to a beautiful porch. The weather was nice so we got to enjoy sitting on the swing out there! Now the second to best part - the breakfast! The most delicious quiche I've ever eaten, sausage, bacon, sautéed mushrooms, cranberry bread that melts in your mouth, tomato grits (so good!!!!!), homemade jams, and, fried pies for dessert! You really don't need to eat again the rest of the day! The best part though was getting to know our hosts. Both Jimmy and Brian really make staying here a true B&B experience. They treated us and our family like family. We all loved hearing their stories and learning about their catering experiences. We send our thanks to them for being a special part of our Christmas this year and encourage others to go and experience some true, old-fashioned Southern hospitality!

Yelp
We hosted a Centenary College graduation party here this past weekend, and we were truly WOWED!! 2439 Fairfield A Bed & Breakfast is a gorgeous location, and the homemade food was SPECTACULAR! The look on the guests' faces as they entered the foyer, and the continuous comments about the food and the entire experience were overwhelming. So many regretted they hadn't snatched up a room to stay the entire weekend. The proprietors, Jimmy and Brian, really went above and beyond, and my daughter and her friends felt truly honored and grateful for the experience. Words cannot express my gratitude enough - it was a perfect, gorgeous, and glorious event, providing memories we'll keep for life! (I only lament the fact that I didn't take better photos or hire a photographer!)

Yelp
This place reminds me of houses and castles in Europe!! John the owner keeps this place looking amazing all year around!! Each room at the bed and breakfast is different and with different appeals. The house is covered with beautiful paintings and tapestries. The food that is served at this place is out of this world!! Everything is exceptional. The garden is beautiful during the day and magical at night. Their are lights all over on the outside and the atmosphere is so so romantic. This place is great for a super romantic and classy place to take your significant other. This place makes me wish there were six stars!!

Yelp
What a great experience. Jimmy & Brian were incredible hosts and the breakfast was fantastic. This wasn't just a bed & breakfast but more like staying with friends in a beautiful home.

Yelp
I will go back to Shreveport JUST to stay at this B&B! Since I like a big breakfast, I almost invariably stay at B&B's when I travel, and this last weekend I was in Shreveport for a family wedding. 2439 Fairfield is in an elegant, historic neighborhood, but convenient to stores & roads. The B&B itself was very full of antiques and knick knacks, but was organized and kept clean so that it didn't feel cluttered or uncomfortable. Our room was comfy, the house & grounds were lovely, but the best part by FAR was the breakfast! Now I know what people mean by "Southern Hospitality!" The breakfast was ample, mouth-wateringly delicious, and freshly made, served on a lovely table in a welcoming room. Jimmy, the owner, was friendly, comfortable, and totally accommodating. We loved all three days we stayed and look forward to going back!

Yelp
We were in town for graduation at Centenary and decided to stay at a local place. We ADORED 2439 Fairfield. It is a feast for the eyes. So many amazing collections of antiques. We stayed in the Stetson room. Cozy bed, great bathtub and a balcony with two chair swings - perfect for chatting. The very best part was the breakfast. Started with a continental spread - four kinds of fruit, homemade coffee cake, English muffins, cereal, coffee and tea. Then came the hot entrees - another 4-5 choices. Then there were hand pies. We really should have paced ourselves. Our host was gracious and helpful. We really had a great visit. I highly recommend this place over anywhere else in Shreveport. It is a really special find.

Yelp
The room was lovely (in that over-the-top, victorian-themed-bed-and-breakfast kind of way). Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was mostly excellent, including eggs, toast, mushrooms, freshly-picked local berries, and delicious fried pies. The only exception was the quiche which we both found a little gross, but there was more than enough other delicious food to make up for that. Proprietor was friendly but not overly so. The stairs are lined with articles about the resistance he faced in establishing the B&B, which I found amusing. Would definitely return if we head back through Shreveport.

Yelp
We had to leave this wonderful place today to return home. Already planning when we can return. Where do I start the immaculate room and grounds the wonderful food every morning the wonderful conversation about the B& B and the wonderful history. Also, the wonderful advise on where to go for the best Spa day and the best food. The best host on earth and on and on.... Thanks to you for making this an unforgettable weekend. When we travel we will plan at least a one night stop over here even if it is out of the way if at all possible for future travels. Hugs fran
