My husband and I spent our 10 year wedding anniversary here after much research and planning. We were having dinner at Primo the night of our stay and thought this would be a convenient location. When trying to book the hotel the site was slightly confusing to me about the configuration of the balcony rooms. I reached out to the hotel directly and spoke with Kayla and got it sorted out with the right room selected. She was so helpful and it was much appreciated. The hotel itself was cute! However, I did not realize parking would be kind of far away, though the terms did state “parking in town near hotel”. I was just not expecting the distance and included pictures of the area suggested. I feel this could be difficult for folks with mobility issues. You can park right out front to unload for 15 minutes. Just something to be aware of! The room was indeed the one I wanted (thanks Kayla)! The space was nice with room for our bags and the bed was comfortable. The linens felt cool and soft. The ac worked well but because of the high floor and bright sun, it did take a while to cool down. We appreciated the mini fridge and availability of in room coffee brought right to the door in the morning. The TV was easy to use for our streaming service log ins. The bathroom had heated floors and offered mini soaps and high quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash. A good amount of towels were offered as well. However, I did feel as if the bathroom lacked a little in cleanliness. I did notify the staff on duty on our way out for the evening and was met with sincere apologies but there really isn’t anything else to do. The rainfall shower felt nice, the pressure was good and the water was hot but we could not get the hand wand to work. It was also broken like it had been dropped so maybe that’s why? Overall, the hotel was bright and safe with thoughtful amenities and friendly staff.

I had planned a birthday celebration weekend to go up July 12th, staying at 250 Main and a dinner reservation at Primo. I received an email 1 week prior to my trip saying the rooftop will be closed due to mechanical owner issues. One week prior to my reservation… the rooftop is one of the reasons I love the hotel, to charge over 500 a night and not have one of their prime amenities available is just insane. That being said birthday weekend has now been canceled, one week prior. Hopefully the owners recognize how much this dampers sales and employee morale.

Such a great hotel! We came to Rockland for a memorial service and in searching for a place to stay, I fortunately found 250 Main. What a treat. The design is stunning, gorgeous artwork is everywhere, the room was super with luxe bedding and an incredible shower. The staff even delivered fresh hot coffee to our room in the morning when I called the front desk. I’d love to return during warmer months.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We had 3 rooms booked for our group and arrived several hours early after a 5 day sailing trip on one of the schooners out of Rockland. We asked if there was any way we could check in early to one of the rooms, and within a half hour they were able to allow us into all 3 rooms. The lobby and rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, and they had interesting art work and lots of games and books to borrow. The breakfast and wine and cheese were very nice quality. The rooftop deck had amazing views. Great customer service! Everyone we met was very professional and so friendly. Highly recommend!

We loved this Hotel! It is in a great location, the rooms are wonderful and the staff was great. Each floor has a bookcase with books to read and great art on the wall. Heated bathroom floors and towel warmer and robes provided in the spacious, modern room with a view. We arrived to wine and cheese and a friendly staff. The only thing that topped the room was the rooftop deck with awesome views of the harbor. This place was perfect!

250 is a wonderful, minimalist boutique hotel located in Rockland, Maine's vibrant South End. There's so much to do within walking distance. We loved parking the car for the weekend and walking to the beach, restaurants and shops. 250 runs itself. You never see cleaning staff but your every need is met. The bedding was dreamy and super comfortable. There is no in-house dining but the healthy Continental breakfast choices are fabulous and from local vendors. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the lobby as we watched the sunrise over Rockland Harbor towards Owl's Head. There is no fitness center but the YMCA is a 5 minute walk from the property. This was our third stay and we will return.

We had the ideal winter weekend escape, spending two nights with our two dogs at the 250 Main Hotel in January 2025. The hotel surpassed all of our expectations. The rooms were bright and modern, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the location was unbeatable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Google
Wow. It was not what we expected as it exceeded all expectations. Staff are incredibly customer focused. The roof top deck is amazing. The rooms are very modern and well appointed. There is artwork from local artists throughout and the hotel did a great job in communicating prior to our arrival. Tons of stuff within walking distance. They do not have parking but there is a public lot across the street that worked out great and the rooms have smart TVs so bring your passwords! I would highly recommend. I wished we had stayed longer.

Yelp
I love a cool boutique hotel--when I can afford them! Taking advantage of off-season prices, I chose 250 Main when I headed up to Rockland for a long weekend toward the end of March. It ended up being one where we had a pretty big storm, and that actually made this hotel an even better place to stay. Basics: great location right downtown (if you look at the map and it looks like it's a bit out of the downtown range, it's not; this is a small town and you can walk from 250 Main to the heart of it within 5 minutes). The hotel itself doesn't have parking, but there's street parking or you can park free in the harbor lot across the street (you may want to check this if you're coming during high season). The welcome vibe is immediately evident not only from the super nice and helpful staff, but because check-in time is also when 250 Main starts its happy hour wine social downstairs, which is perfect! And if you reserve directly with the hotel, you get a complimentary glass of vino. I literally met friendly people from the minute I checked in, and we hung out with a glass of wine for awhile before heading out. You can purchase from a small menu of wine and beer until around midnight, which turned out to be a great thing when the storm rolled in the next night of my stay. With the warm and relaxed vibe, hanging out in the lobby area is part of the experience. My room was a queen room with a small balcony overlooking the harbor--which on their website is described as "small," but it definitely is not! Fantastically comfortable bed (which honestly seemed larger than my own queen at home); big bathroom with an awesome rain shower, heated towel racks, and robes; plenty of space to move around in the room itself, which also had a desk and a little sitting area. Oh, and super high ceilings and HUGE windows. While I neglected to get a pic *inside* the actual room [insert facepalm here], check out the cool views of the snowstorm from the windows and balcony. If you don't want to venture out for breakfast in the morning, there are light options available (croissants, yogurt, fruit, etc.)--with delicious coffee from local Rock City Coffee. Huge points too for keeping a coffee and tea station open in the lobby all day and night. With the term "boutique" being tossed around these days willy-nilly, I'm always thrilled to find a place that lives up to it. 250 Main is definitely worth the splurge!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here in mid-June this year and we loved it! Super attentive and nice staff. Beautiful hotel. Breakfast and thoughtful and delicious as was the wine reception. Rooftop deck offers a great view of the harbor!

Yelp
We loved our stay. The folks at reception were so friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is really beautiful. Our room, especially the bathroom, was really nice. In the morning they have very good coffee and a light continental breakfast which is really high quality. It's pricey here but worth it. The only issue is parking. You have to park at the lot across the street which isn't a huge deal, but in poor weather it may be. We would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Loved staying here. Amazing hotel in a quaint town by the sea. Went off-season, so the hotel wasn't busy at all, but I was so impressed by the attention to detail everywhere. The rooms and public spaces are so inviting and visually appealing. Every staff member I met was super kind and helpful. Bonus touches like heated bathroom floors and towel warmers brings this to a five star rating for me. Stay here! Don't forget to check out the rooftop.

Yelp
The hotel was very modern, clean, and friendly staff. I booked the nicest balcony room that showed being in the top level w/ awesome view and paid extra to bring our dog. When we got there, we were placed in the second floor, the water view was so muted, not much like the photo shown. The balcony looked out to the parking, the barely water view was blocked by the big ass tree. The room was really noisy near street level and people next door. I didn't expect to pay $500+ per night for a crappy view like that. They should have made it clear on all reservation that bringing pet is on the 2nd floor only. I felt like we got ripped off w/ that $500/night. We won't be back. We'll look for other Maine's destination on the water in Camden, Boothbay, Bar Harbor, or somewhere else instead.

Yelp
The 250 Main Hotel is the nicest hotel I've experienced in Maine. The level of customer service is incredible, Jill was super friendly, & helpful, Mackenzie and Wilson gave great recommendations on local places to grab food, & hooking up my tech to their Wi-Fi. The Hotel it's self is super fresh, with great decor, a comfortable bed, and pillows I'm thinking of buying when I get home. My hands down favorite part is the shower, a walk in with a rain shower head. We will be coming back

Yelp
If you are looking for a boutique hotel with a very modern but warm vibe, friendly service, and well-appointed rooms in a great location, 250 Main is a nearly perfect choice. It satisfies all of the above, but didn't quite make it to five stars for our visit because their COVID precautions didn't live up to the claims in the website. That was the only letdown for an otherwise outstanding stay. We chose Rockland as our base for vacation specifically for this hotel, but lucked out with it being a good jumping off point for exploring the mid-coast. There are several good restaurants in town, such that we'd explore the coast and other small towns by day, then return to Rockland and get dinner by carry out in the evenings. As other Yelpers' pictures show, the rooms are modern and comfortable, with excellent, well-appointed bathrooms. Boxed breakfasts in the morning were supplied by the lovely local bakery Atlantic Baking Company, comprised of yogurt, fresh blueberries, and cheese with croissants on the side. Besides coffee and tea in the morning, they have an evening happy hour and water on tap in the lobby. Their website states "our team members will be wearing face coverings", so it was pretty shocking to arrive and see that this was not the case for everyone. Usually the staff in the lobby did not wear masks - except for those working later in the week - and we saw cleaning staff without masks either. My understanding is that Maine at that time was requiring masks indoors only for unvaccinated people, so hopefully they were in fact all vaccinated. But I felt misled based on the website. Setting that aside, we still had an excellent stay. Hopefully the hotel will make sure in the future that their website statements on health and safety align with their practices.

Yelp
Probably my favorite hotel ever! The location is ideal for spending time on Main Street. You can walk to The Strand, Farnsworth, contemporary Art Museum, fine dining and boutique shops. The lobby is inviting and relaxing and with a complementary wine social from 4-6 and complimentary breakfast with coffee and juice before hitting the road for home. Looking forward to our next trip back!

Yelp
I couldn't recommended 250 Main Hotel more. This boutique hotel is filled with local artists work, classic books, and incredible decor. The views from the hotel are outstanding -- I recommend getting a room with a patio, but if not, hang on the rooftop deck! The staff are friendly and welcoming, with plenty of information on what to do in the surrounding area. But what I love most, is the room. It's unbelievably comfortable, from the carpet that you walk on, to the mattress and pillows. Every detail is inviting and modern.

Yelp
This was my first time in Rockland, ME. This hotel off of 250 Main St. was a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. It has a modern contemporary feel and the atmosphere is very cool. The staff are super friendly and great in giving recommendations. We arrived after 5 pm and was told the town was quiet for a Monday, but a great restaurant for seafood was across the street called Eclipse of the Pearl. The hotel had a great complimentary breakfast and I loved their roof top. Such a great place to watch the sunrise if you didn't get a room with a balcony.

Yelp
Our family booked rooms at this hotel for a reunion during the Lobster Festival and this place is beautiful. The architecture was gorgeous and the staff was superb. We arrived very late on 8/3 and I am so bad with names but the night manager was so nice & helpful and we were exhausted! She had us laughing and loved our children who were roaming around like zombies. There was so many of us in our family staying at the hotel we sort of took over the lobby and upstairs deck. The staff was so nice and at one point they brought all this brand new furniture to the upper deck and told my sister it was for our family! Watching the concert from above sipping champagne was so wonderful. There are so many unique qualities to this hotel, including the staircase (for those like me who like to walk vs elevator ride) with all these cool quotes on the stair steps. Simple things like the water fountain; cold, room temperature and mineral. Robes, towel warmer and the bed....I am pretty sure several of us went out and bought that bed it was so comfortable. They had in our rooms a rollaway for our children without needing to ask at check-in or remind them like typical hotels. The rollaway was pretty darn comfortable so my 10 year old gives that a 5 star too. Anyway, thank you for putting up with our loud family that turned your lobby into a game center (well, you do have lots of games in the lobby so we took that as a hint it was ok). Oh, the breakfast is simple but soooo delicious with fresh croissants, yogurt, fresh blueberries and unlike most hotels that have a basket of apples.....they have peaches! Peaches! I mean, its the little stuff that makes the stay so lovely isn't it? As far as price, it was totally in line with the quality but the quality exceeded our expectations. Oh, also the young man that was working that week during the day gave us a great recommendation for lobster. I wish I wrote down names but he was so attentive especially during the happy hour with our giant group literally standing in line waiting.......

Yelp
We had the most amazing weekend at 250 main hotel! They were quite accommodating during Covid times, and even were able to arrange a second night for us at the same rate since we decided to stay another night once we arrived! The interior is beautiful as well as the rooms. Very comfortable and we had a view of the water which I thought was well worth the price! We really enjoyed the rooftop as well a must see ! If we had more time I would have loved to enjoy the rooftop longer with a cup of coffee and a good book. The light breakfast was refreshing and made to order coffee was great. Highly recommend and would love to come back maybe in the fall season!

Yelp
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Every element of our stay was outstanding from start to finish. Communication over email was prompt and accurate, and they sent us a nice note letting us know they were ready for check in and that there was a reception upon arrival. We easily parked across the street and were greeted at the door by one of their employees. We were checked in at the front desk, which is really just a small element of their open air lobby. It feels like someone's (very large) studio apartment, with a living room area, small dining area, and an "office," all impeccably decorated. We were warmly checked in and personally escorted to our room on the second floor. Hard to explain but again, the upper floors each felt so homey. The lobby area outside of the rooms has a living room feel, with carpet, a seating area, and stocked bookshelves. Our room was just as great, with amazing touches throughout. Excellent lighting with dimmers, USB outlets, a tablet for orienting us to the hotel, a well appointed bathroom with nice toiletries and a great rain/shower combo. It was just all great and so cozy. We participated in the reception and got a complimentary drink - they had both beer and wine - and light snacks. We took it up to their rooftop, which is fun with a view of the bay and seating area. After, we were able to walk straight into town for dinner. When we returned we took advantage of the water filling station where you can get seltzer or water and take it up to your room. We slept well despite being near their main street and close to ground level. The bed and bedding was just like everything else - high quality and cozy. In the morning we grabbed their light breakfast which included coffee, pastry, deviled eggs, parfait and fruit. Everything was served with reusable cups, plates, silverware, which just added to the apartment / cozy feel. In general it was a fantastic stay and we'd absolutely be back. We felt like it was worth the price of about $280 for the night.

Yelp
The PERFECT place to stay! Very cautious and considerate with Covid-19 safety regulations. The in room details are impeccable, they have thought of everything- cozy beds, quality linens and even towel warmers! Extremely clean and I love their bath products which is a major plus. There staff was above and beyond helpful, offering whatever we needed to make the stay special. I can not say enough good things about this place! It's a must see weather you are new to the area or are looking for a little staycation. Ruth & her team are top notc!

Yelp
Stayed here for a Maine "staycation" in the midst of current world events. What a beautiful hotel. Staff is accommodating. Bathroom is amazing - heated floors, great shower, and upscale toiletries. Roof is great for drinks and meals. Easy access to the Farnsworth, Center for Maine Contemporary Art, and Primo. Great place to stay.

Yelp
I was only here for a few minutes to use the bathroom as my companion had an emergency. I noted this to the front desk and was graciously allow to use the facilities. While inside, observed the furniture and fixtures of the bathroom and the lobby, it was beautifully decorated and well kept. It definitely has upped the ante in capturing the spirit of Maine. Based on the generosity of the front desk and the ambiance of the hotel including the furniture and fixtures, this hotel seems interesting enough that I'll try to stay here in the future.

Yelp
Great place to stay. We really like to close proximity to the downtown, the friendly staff and the open design. The complimentary wine in the evening followed by the coffee and croissants in the morning were a very nice touch. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Please don't stay here if you have pets and seriously consider NOT staying here if you don't have pets. My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights in June with our two small dogs. We saw they were a pet friendly hotel and it seemed to be located conveniently across the street from a park and nice pedestrian walkway. We were surprised that they say are pet friendly, but offer nothing for the pets, like water bowls and beds like other area pet friendly hotels do. When we asked at the front desk what pet friendly restaurants or stores were in the area, they simply just looked at the internet. What did they think we were doing for the last hour! We were hoping they had personal insight or a list of places to vist with our little buddies, but they had the same reviews we saw online. When I mentioned this to the manager she said " oh that's a very good idea, I'm writing that down". We decided to go to the dog park in Thomaston (only 10 mins from the hotel) and boy were we disappointed! A local resident got very aggressive with us with us when his large dog was being overly aggressive to one of our dogs. I told the large dog to stop and the owner came running towards us being more aggressive with us than his dog was with our little dog. After being verbally accosted by a local resident, we decided to leave the park. We walked around in town and got lunch and we were away from the hotel for 3 1/2 hrs. We were looking to rest up in our hotel room prior to going out for the evening. To our surprise, the room was NEVER cleaned. We had the sign on the door to clean, but no one had come by to service the room (even though when we left the room, we said hi to the cleaning people as they were outside our room). We were very disappointed in the staff. The manager was nice when I told her all these things and offered to clean our room herself, but that defeated the purpose of us resting before the evening. She said we could sit in the lobby and wait...... no thank you! Very hotel has a young and inexperienced staff and most of them were just standing around like DPW workers. Maybe things will improve as the summer goes along, but there are better pet friendly hotels in the area. We will not stay there again.

Sgc T.

Yelp
We had a great experience at this hotel, from the pet friendly environment to the extraordinary staff; a perfect getaway! A big thank you to Jillian, she went above and beyond, as soon as we walked in, she was so attentive and kind. We can't rave the accommodations and staff enough, definitely five stars!!

Michelle K.

Yelp
Fun, boutique hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous rooftop view. This hotel was beyond our expectation. And Richland is amazing! The hotel is walkable to many delicious restaurants. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Second time here, and again 250 does not disappoint. From initial greeting, being shown to our room, the staff is amazing. Wine happy hour by the fire with rose and red (or beer), tastefully prepared cheese and crackers, lovely sitting area. The room decor, fixtures, bedding, view and window dressings all perfect. Walk in shower, heated floors...they've thought of everything. No room service but lovely cont breakfast with very decent croissants, good coffee and fruit. Rooftop deck is amazing, I can't imagine during summer. We're making this an annual tradition!

Emily K.

Yelp
Stayed here last month with my husband and it was the absolute best! We had the very top floor with a balcony. My favorite part was the heated floor in the bathroom. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute and quiet place to stay

Tosin M.

Yelp
This is a very modern hotel in the middle of Rockland. Young, courteous and competent staff. Given this visit was during a unique period in history, it was a nice and clean place. Boxed healthy breakfast of small proportions (Yoghourt, Croissant, Blueberries, Cheese stick and juice) were served for breakfast. Also available coffee. Free happy hour wine and beer. Highly recommended hotel!!
google avatar

Yelp
A wonderful ,nice boutique hotel which was our home base as we explored the coast. The entire staff was great and friendly and tried hard to make sure everyone was well taken care of. What impressed me most were the small details like the heated floor in the bathroom, the quality of the toiletries and bedding( great pillows!) and cloth towels in the public restrooms. Breakfast had fresh fruit, good coffee and an assortment of croissants and pastries. The wine and cheese in the afternoon was another nice touch. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Yelp
Gorgeous contemporary boutique hotel. Up to date design and room features. Local Maine art on hallway walls is for sale (prices downstairs in lobby). Contemporary social space in lobby for a glass of wine and some crackers and cheese at four pm (gratis) as well as a continental breakfast (which we didn't try so can't comment on that). Why only three stars then? Air conditioning was broken on several floors of hotel and our room was ridiculously hot. Staff (two people for whole hotel)though graciously attempted to get people room fans-- literally buying fans at a local Lowes!- but clearly was attempting to convince guests to stay out and try to deal with the heat even though some rooms with ac were available. I suppose this was because they were worried they couldn't provide those rooms for everyone with a malfunctioning ac. We decided to be good eggs and wait until after sunset to see if the room would cool off while we went to see the sights and have dinner. Still even two hours after sunset the rooms were stifling. Window that might have been opened while we were gone was missing a screen and --when we decided it would be okay to open anyway-- couldn't be opened because the latch was broken! Staff didn't know where screens could be found and no maintenance staff on duty for the latch Still the night manager a lovely outgoing woman went out of her way to change our room when we realized the fourth floor room we were assigned was just not going to cool down. We were moved to a bigger second floor "family" room that faced front and was somewhat noisy but was cool and clean and again beautifully designed . The hotel the night we stayed (July 19) seemed somewhat understaffed for the price paid. Parking is very limited either around the corner on the street in which you need to find your own space (nothing reserved for hotel) front of what appear to be some local private homes who would prefer for out of towners to park elsewhere or across the street down a hill in a municipal lot. Contrary to other Yelp review on the night we were there there was no offer of valet parking although the young man at the desk did offer to help us unload our luggage before we parked. We were lucky to find a spot on the main drag that was good until then next day. But for the sort of hotel a little more help for the guests with parking would normally be expected. Don't miss the glorious roof deck! Staff didn't tell us about it but we overheard other guests discussing it and decided to explore and find it on our own. Similarly the hotel should provide a note in the bathrooms explaining how the shower works! It's a slightly confusing system of tubes (but as everything in the hotel beautifully designed) and it is difficult to switch from hot to cold and adjust pressure and change from shower head to hand held shower. It was fun figuring it out but hotel should provide a little card with instructions. In conclusion- beautiful well-appointed rooms make a good center for exploring the area on foot but lack of parking and sparse staffing at a time when there might be a mechanical failure left staff (who maintained friendliness and professionalism nonetheless). Essentially you can expect a five star experience but we didn't have that due to the unfortunate circumstances of the day.

Yelp
Fantastic little boutique hotel. Rooms are gorgeous and airy. Loved everything about the hotel except for the parking situation -- or lack thereof. Still, a great place to stay in Rockland.

Yelp
I LOVED our stay at 250 Main. My fiance surprised me with a roadtrip and reservation to this hotel, knowing that while I like the idea of bed and breakfasts, the idea of sleeping in a house built over 100 years ago with decor over 50 years old was not my cup of tea. 250 Main is located VERY conveniently on Main street. We were greeted so very warmly when we checked in by the hotel staff. Arriving on a Saturday around 4, just in time for wine and cheese hour! We had some time to kill before dinner reservations and ended up building a puzzle (provided by the hotel), while nursing a complimentary glass of prosseco and cheese & crackers. My kind of night. Our room was inviting, clean and modern. Though the space was not huge and the bathroom was a tiny bit cramped, it had all the space we needed for one night. Love the toiletries provided (the shampoo made my hair so silky smooth) and the view from our window was gorgeous. The next morning, they had a simple complimentary breakfast that was healthy and nutritious. They laid out some parfaits, fruit salad, boiled eggs, muffins, and juices. A lovely boutique hotel! I would totally stay here again!

Yelp
We just finished three wonderful days at the 250 Main Hotel and we can't say enough about it. The room was beautifully appointed and a pleasure to behold. The staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. The continental breakfast was excellent and the 4:00 PM glass of wine with cheeses and fruit was superb. We celebrated an anniversary in this hotel this June and plan to celebrate our next anniversary next June. Obviously we highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
I cannot believe it took me this long to write a review but the good memories and superior experience is just as fresh today as it was two months ago. In one word: perfection. My BF brought me here on a Labor Day getaway and it was a perfect cap to the weekend. The service was welcoming, warm, and they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They even accommodated our slightly late wake up by extending the complimentary breakfast (yogurt parfait, muffins, fruit, and fresh coffee). The decor is fresh, clean, and modern while still maintaining a warmth. And that wasn't just from the crackling fireplace in the lobby. The hotel showcases local artists, further keeping with the local charm. The attention to detail goes beyond service and decor. The towel warmers, black towel for makeup removal, extensive closet space, and blackout blinds were the perfect touch. And the shower, oh god! The shower alone is worth a visit. So it's the view though. Either from your room or the rooftop patio. And, pro tip: make sure you eat at Primo's for dinner. Don't miss this gem of a hotel. The luxury of the city without the bustle and mayhem. Perfect weekend getaway! Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Last minute booking and it did not disappoint. Great, clean and modern hotel. Industrial in style. Great high black metal ceilings and reclaimed wood accents. Hotel room was modern. Bathroom was amazing. Heated floor and beautiful appointments. No in room coffee, but just call hospitality and they bring up fresh coffee to your room at no extra cost. Book direct if you can. We booked through Expedia so we had to pay for our first glass of wine. If you book direct, it's complimentary. They have a rooftop, small deck that Overlooks the water. If you stay in Rockland, try Archers restaurant which is across the street and down a boardwalk path. Ada's down the street was great restaurant too. And there is a brewery down the main road. You may hear a little traffic at night if your room is near the road, but it wasn't too bad. Staff very helpful with suggestions.

Yelp
Amazing staff and hotel. I told the front desk it was my birthday when booking the reservation and when we arrived we found a signed birthday card in our room. Super thoughtful. First class amenities and views. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is not an historic, fussy charming coastal hotel: in a good way! It's sleek, modern and clean all wrapped together in a warm and comforting package. This new building is well located in the funky town of Rockland. The hotel is pretty small ... don't expect an army of check in agents or bellboys. Parking is also limited and it's on the pricey side. Those negatives don't take away from the amazing light-filled first floor and large and comfortable rooms. The views of the dramatic coast through the large windows keep you focused on why you are visiting Maine. The rooms have a fresh mid-century meets industrial chic. The edge is softened by super plush rugs and reclaimed wood counters. Definitely a place we will return to.

Yelp
We stayed at this wonderful hotel for three nights. The staff is amazing. The entire hotel is spotless. We were on the 5th floor and chose to walk up the stairwell because it was so much fun. There are encouraging sayings on each flight. The rooftop space is special. We took the wine they served us in the afternoon and went to the beautiful rooftop for cocktail hour. The sunset was spectacular. Breakfast is delicious with fruit, croissants, eggs, yogurt, etc. We will be back.

Yelp
250 Main is the Platonic Ideal of a Boutique Hotel Danny Meyer has become the most successful restauranteur in New York City by insisting that his restaurant staffs make sure patrons are welcomed and treated like old friends. 250 Main has the same approach. These are genuinely nice people dedicated to making sure that you feel welcome. That is all in addition to a beautifully designed hotel with well-selected local art on the walls, a gorgeous rooftop deck for views of the harbor and immaculate guest rooms and public areas. 250 Main is what a boutique hotel should be.

Yelp
Amazing ocean view along with an incredibly welcoming staff! My husband and I stayed here as part of our Coastal Maine honeymoon and enjoyed every moment of our stay. From the modern yet warming atmosphere to the collection of local art - we highly recommend this gem!

Yelp
We stayed 2 nights in the beginning of Sept during our ME road trip up the coast - very clean, modern hotel with very friendly, helpful staff - our room's view was the unkempt backyard of another house - but clean and comfortable room/bathroom made up for the view. Free breakfast was a nice touch - wished it included more vegan options such as non-dairy options for coffee (ie almond milk), oatmeal, etc - wasn't huge deal for us since there were other great options within walking distance of the hotel. Free happy hour was appreciated - glass of wine or beer to enjoy on the rooftop deck - nice way to wind down before dinner. Parking wasn't an issue for us - 2 hour parking right in front of the hotel between 9am and 6pm - we left before 11 am and came back around 5 pm every day - hotel did say there was an option to park across the street during the day if needed. Convenient location in downtown Rockland - far enough so you would not be bothered by the constant traffic/noise - but close enough to walk to everything - would definitely stay again!

Yelp
HAd stayed previously and intended to do so again in the future. because of family circumstances we had to cancel a reservation 10 days in advance my wife and I had planned for a quick one night get away. The hotel refused to refund our $120 deposit, refused to use it as credit towards a future stay and was quite rude and uncomp[rimising about the entire situation. I always try to support the small local business but this time it really bit me in the ass as their policies are so out of line witht he rest of the hotel industry.

Yelp
Beautiful clean, slick modern decor but homey and comfortable. Lovely common area with nice continental breakfast and afternoon social hour. We really enjoyed our brief stay. Only critique would be the carpeted halls and rooms. We are categorically opposed to public carpets, so maybe more of a personal preference than actual criticism.

Yelp
What a great experience we had staying at 250 Main Hotel!! Our room had a great ocean view, was very clean, and had a great layout. The workmanship of the hotel was well done and attention was paid to details and comfort. The Staff were great, very personable, and welcoming! Looking forward to our return visit! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Very nice hotel with great staff! Loved the heated bathroom floors and tower warmer rack. Breakfast was decent for what it was.

Yelp
Newly opened 26-room boutique hotel on edge of downtown Rockland. If needing to park your car, use valet or simply walk from nearest parking lot 2 blocks away.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our night at this new boutique hotel in a great location. The lobby is unique and inviting, designed with plenty of wood and metal. The walls are hung with art by local and internationally renowned artists creating the ambiance more of an art gallery than a hotel lobby. And the art is for sale. Our room was tastefully decorated with balcony overlooking the harbor. We appreciated the heated bathroom floor, plush pillows and more fun art. Rooftop terrace offers a relaxing venue for a summer evenings. Within Walking distance of many great eateries, art galleries and shops. We will be back.

Yelp
I have never written a review before, but had such a lovely experience at this hotel I felt inclined! The staff were so kind and accommodating, the design was amazing, and our room had the nicest balcony which made for such an incredible stay. Also-- probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept in! Being from Maine, I rarely spend the money to stay in a hotel, but I would happily make the trip to Rockland to stay at 250 Main again. Thank you for such a memorable stay and we can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
We booked the balcony room last minute as part of a pre-grand opening special and had a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful and cozy with amazing views. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. And WOW -- the roof. Just phenomenal. We will undoubtedly be returning next summer.

Yelp
This place is exceptional. When we arrived to Rockland without a place to stay, with 2 dogs, we were lucky enough to find a room at 250 Main and it couldn't have been better. The staff was incredibly friendly, and helped us find a perfect room, and settle in. The decor is great, service on point, and the amenities and location could not be better. Happy that this place has opened, and is a perfect place for us to spend a night, or weekend, before heading over to North Haven. Other hotels should take notes from 250 Main on their pet policy since they not only made us feel incredibly welcome, but also our dogs.

Yelp
Loved this hotel. At first I was turned off by the kind of IKEA-esque design BUT I was won over pretty quickly. first of all the service was friendly and good. The room was comfortable and peaceful. It smelled nice. The lobby is attractive and comfortable AND The shower was EXCELLENT. It is an environmentally friendly construction (( love that ) and It's near everything.
