25hours Hotel The Circle (Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia) 8 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"We’re old enough to remember when the “design hotels” in Germany were among the most conservative in the world, all tasteful seriousness and aloof minimalism. That, of course, was before the 25hours era began. This homegrown boutique-hotel chain brought new life and plentiful personality to the hospitality world all across Germany — including Cologne, where 25hours Hotel The Circle is an audacious redevelopment of a landmark building whose rotunda gives the Circle its name." - Tablet Hotels

We had a fantastic stay at the 25hours Hotel in Cologne! The location couldn’t be better – right in the heart of the city, within walking distance to the cathedral, shopping streets, and plenty of great restaurants. It’s perfect for exploring the city on foot. The hotel itself is full of character. Every corner has a creative touch, from the quirky room designs to the playful details that make the stay truly memorable. Our room was comfortable, stylish, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. A special highlight was the rooftop bar. The view over Cologne’s skyline is simply stunning, especially at sunset. The cocktails were delicious, and the atmosphere was lively but still cozy. Overall, a unique and inspiring hotel experience – highly recommended for anyone looking for something different in Cologne!

The rooms were clean and spacious. Excellent bath and shower facilities. The mini bar was packed with drinks and snacks very welcome after our journey to Cologne by train. Book breakfast: the food is fresh and varied, and the coffee good. The location was excellent, near stations, restaurants, and in reasonable walking distance of the cathedral, Christmas markets and museums. |Zany, motel atmosphere. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend!

We had a great stay at 25hours The Circle, a hotel that blends style, comfort, and personality — occasionally with a little more personality than strictly necessary. Service & Atmosphere The staff were warm, efficient, and genuinely helpful. The relaxed, friendly attitude made the stay easy from start to finish. Breakfast The breakfast was excellent — generous, fresh, and above the usual hotel standard. Boasting a surprisingly broad selection of bread, cheeses, charcuterie, fruit - and hot options. Easily one of the highlights of the hotel. Design & Style The design leans heavily into its quirky, hipster theme. At times it’s more “look how unconventional we are” than actually functional, but thankfully it stops short of being unbearable. Once you adjust to the theatrics, it’s fun — and, importantly, doesn’t get in the way of comfort. Rooms Rooms are modern, well thought out, and comfortable. Even with the eccentric décor, the essentials are done right: good bed, smart layout, and quiet at night. Overall, 25hours The Circle delivers good service, an exceptional breakfast, and a design aesthetic that’s eccentric but on the sweet side of it. A stylish stay — even if it occasionally tries a little too hard to remind you how stylish it is.

Location is great. We were able to walk to all the Christmas markets easily. The hotel is super unique and fun. Breakfast was ok (expensive if you ask me). Front desk staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful at all when asked for restaurant recommendations. Maybe that’s just the German way? Room were nice & clean. Only gripe is, if you’re traveling with friends and shower situation is a little odd, a curtain KIND OF conceals the all glass shower but not if the other person wants to walk to the toilet. Noise level was fine, didn’t hear much of anyone else. |Bar was too full on a Friday night for us to have a drink, which was a bummer. |Shower had shampoo but no conditioner.

Okay, let's first start with the quirkiness; it's a lot. If you have low tolerance for quirky, you will hate this place, but if you can stomach it, there are amusing little details and little eye-rolling never hurt anyone.|So, to the real points;|First, our room was suprisingly spacious and the bed was super comfortable. First night we didn't have that good of a sleep as the pillows were flat, but we did get extra pillows that fixed the situation. The free minibar was a pleasant suprise. There was no safety box on the room, which was a minus for slightly paranoid person like me, and there also was no kettle, which was a shame as we usually do use it. Also, the rooms floor plan was a bit weird; the toilet and the sink were on different rooms (the sink is in the same room as the bed, only separated with a curtain), so taking that midnight dump and washing your hands without waking up your partner with light/noise is quite difficult.|The breakfast had a good selection. Bacon was crispy, but the eggs were a bit overdone and under-salted.|The sauna section was good and the relaxing lounge was comfortable, and we used it practically every night.|As a nitpick I was kinda disappointed upon arrival as we informed when we were coming and got the "we are trying our best for you to get the room asap for you"-message (I'm paraphrasing here), but upon arrival we were immediately told "check in is at three, not earlier" without even taking our names. While I do get that an early room is a bonus thing, the "we are trying our best!" combined with "nope, it's at three." kinda felt like no, you weren't trying. Mind you, you don't have to, but just don't give me false hope, okay?|And lastly, there was this stupid thing when we arrived where we couldn't get to our room as a influencer was jamming the elevator on the first floor for photos. This is not a critique towards the hotel, just know that the elevators are so cute you might have to fight an influencer to get to your room.|Overall I could see myself returning here. This wasn't cheap or anything, but the pricepoint was reasonable enough.

Perfect hotel for me and the other half to use as a base to explore Kolne. It's located a few minutes walk south of the Belgian Quarter which has plenty of cafes and bars. 5 minutes to the west there is a decent shopping district with plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. If you like Asian food you're well catered for. The hotel itself is modern welcoming and well set out with a quirky futuristic space theme. The cafe downstairs doubles up as a co working space in the day so always plenty of people about but still not too busy. The monkey bar on the 8th floor was pretty decent and restaurant also in the 8th looked nice, but we ate out instead. We had an outer circle room and had a nice view over the city including the cathedral. There's a lovely sauna on the 7th floor that we made good use of with deck chairs to chill out on after your sauna. Superb. The room was great and we had a mini bar with nuts, chocolate, beers and sparkling water included in the price. Could've used a kettle and some tea coffe in the room but no big deal. The staff were really friendly and welcoming 🙏 letting us charge our phone and drop off luggage before check in. I would highly reccomend this hotel as being clean, comfortable, modern, well located and at a good price. Go on book it now.😃

Really enjoyed the co-working space here! The atmosphere is cozy and well-designed, and the team is always friendly and ready to help. It might not be the perfect setup for everyone in terms of comfort, but the staff truly go above and beyond to make it a great experience. The fact that the co-working area is free is a huge bonus. I was so happy with my time here that when my family visited Cologne, they stayed at the 25hours Hotel. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights to experience the Cologne Christmas markets. The hotel was in a peaceful area, easy walking to all the sites. Very comfy beds and one of the best hotel showers. The thoughtful loan of a quality tote bag was much appreciated. We also enjoyed the trio of hummus and cocktails on the 8th floor.
