"Nobody has done more to showcase the fun side of German hospitality than the 25hours hotel group. And it’s only natural that Munich, that most relaxed of German cities, should feature 25hours in a particularly playful mood. 25hours Hotel the Royal Bavarian, to give it its full name, is located at the literal heart of the city, in what were once the Imperial Post and Telegraph offices, attached to Munich’s central rail station." - Tablet Hotels

This place was super cool. Right across the street from the Munich central train station. The whole hotel is straight vibes; warm dim lighting, classic music, old school decorations. Super nice sauna, great restaurant inside, friendly staff, central location. The only complaint I had was their gym which was underwhelming even for a hotel gym, definitely not getting in a lift there haha.

Our room had a quirky feel and heaps of character - however some aspects completely impractical. The wardrobe had hangers so high that even with the prop at 5’5 I was unable to reach and had to rely on the flat hangers against walls. Lighting was a huge challenge overall - leaving us reliant on the torches on our phones. There was no light anywhere close to a mirror meaning makeup and hair was a bit hit and miss! The mirror in the bathroom was poorly lit and with a huge sink - inaccessible for people of shorter stature! An extra light was promised but never delivered although extra towels and pillows were provided on request. The free fridge was a nice surprise but a small bottle of Prosecco or white wine would have felt more balanced than all the beer. The shower was excellent in terms of temperature and pressure. And the room was nice a quiet. The breakfast was a little on the expensive side but was excellent quality and unlimited - so a hearty breakfast meant no lunch required! For us the huge benefit was proximity to the main station with most tourist spots within a 10–30 min walk.

The hotel is overall okay, however I feel it is unsafe. I was staying in room 246 with my 19 year old daughter. Around midnight someone came into our room. It ended up being an employee. No knock or phone call, he just came in. I called to the front desk to complete as we were both extremely shaken. They apologized however it happened a second time around 6am. At this point we immediately got ready and checked out. Upon check out they offered to refund my stay which to me was the least they could do. They gave me a receipt but when I got home, I realized they charged me. My bank is helping me to dispute this. Please be aware. My room did not have a second lock or deadbolt which to me is unacceptable for travelers. I’m disappointed because it was a cute hotel but again-not safe.

Having travelled to Munich dozens of times on business it was nice to return on a purely personal basis.|This hotel unfortunately left a sour taste in our mouths some time after our departure.|On checking in, as with nearly every hotel these days, you have to provide a pre-authorisation on a credit card. I did this to the amount of €150.|During our stay nothing was booked to our room and therefore when checking out they confirmed that the pre-authorisation would be cancelled.|To my surprise, over a month later. my credit card was charged by the hotel for €150. |Having communicated with the hotel they state that we had removed a ‘jukebox’ from the room, which was certainly not true. I have tried unsuccessfully to obtain any evidence they have on this matter. In most cases they just fail to respond.|I have since received a full refund (minus bank charges) from my credit card company. They too failed to obtain any response from the hotel in relation to their enquiries.|A disappointing end to a trip to a lovely city. I’d recommend anyone to think twice about staying at this hotel. I wonder how many more unsuspecting customers have been charged for items they’ve never taken?|Any hotel wishing to ensure they have a good rating would ensure that have top notch customer service. This hotel has none.

A determinedly funky hotel. The rooms are quirky rather than functionable, with an ironing board as a table (but no iron) ill-placed basins and a questionable black toilet. The gym is useless. The friendly staff and public spaces balance this out as well as the central location.

This was our 4th 25hrs stay and it did not disappoint. So convenient, lovely, EXTRA (in all the best ways) and with the legendary breakfast our other 25hr stays have led us to expect. Room was spacious and well appointed. (OK the trolley is a little noisy but it didn't bother us). Can't wait to return or explore more sites. PLUS- I foolishly left something in the room and it was easy to order pickup and email the DHL label - so THANKS for the extra service after checkout.

Really great hotel, a brilliant location to local amenities and wonderful service. Decor throughout is interesting, especially for Munich. The bar is a great touch and is well stocked (although a little pricey) The reason for taking marks from the rooms is some strange omissions. There is nowhere sit, despite the room having a desk there is no seat. There are no coffee or hot drink facilities in the room either. Overall, it was good, but I wouldn't stay again due to rooms. This may not be an issue for you.

Boutique hotel in Munich. The location is perfect, close to old city. If you’re looking for a standard US chain hotel this is not for you. It is quirky with an old fashioned typewriter in the room, black walls and ceiling and sink near the bed. |The bed was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep.
