Had a lovely stay at 25hours Hotel Paper Island, the rooms are very nice and very clean! The beds were also very comfy and we slept very well, you can even request a mattress topper I believe. loved the decor and theming throughout the hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Good location, short walk to Nyhavn, everywhere was accessible by bike, and there is a very nice (but expensive) restaurant downstairs.
We booked through amex and enjoyed all the perks that came with that, the free amex members breakfast was great, everything you could ever need was available and it was all served with a smile (I would have preferred visible allergen information on the signs in the buffet but I understand that you could easily ask the staff for this).
I knocked off one star because I feel like the hotel lacked amenities for the price, I would have liked a small gym and although we were upgraded to a room with garden access it didn’t wow me and there was no nice view of the city. Additionally, I ordered an oat milk latte at breakfast every day and on the last day I was served one with milk, luckily I’m not allergic. Maybe the breakfast ordering could be streamlined and written down to avoid incorrect orders. It felt like some of the staff were under a lot of pressure some of the mornings, and as there wasn’t a clear system in place for ordering the barista coffee and additional foods, it sometimes felt awkward to ask.
With a couple of tweaks we’d definitely return here, the cleanliness and service were impeccable and the location slightly out of the hustle and bustle meant it made a quiet and peaceful base for our first time exploring Copenhagen
