Sunday (somewhere in the world) brunch at 25ml cafe, hobsonville. Words i’d use to describe the location are pleasant, convenient & suburban. Menu is split half western and half asian rendition of western meals. Second coffee of the day so you know we mean business. Oat milk iced latte was delish. I’d have had another but i don’t think the old ticker had the strength for it. No rosti option for the bene :( -1 Decided to go with the gf bread cause i couldn’t see the bog. Chef was an OG for checking if i wanted potatoes but i’m not irish so i passed. Service was timely and warm. Gandered the nice street view while I waited a reasonable length of time for my food. Drank a bit of my goated coffee before i realised i’d need some left over to get a photo because im now a deplorable insta foodie. And the bene arrives… Presentation was a solid 8.5 / 10. Couldn’t say what you’d do better but I have seen better so you know there’s gotta be another 1.5 in the tank. Greens usually give me the frights which is dangerous but the garnishing was acceptable in size. Didn’t need to be bullied into eating it either. Portion size looked perhaps a touch small. I took a bite and the sensation felt equivalent to an 7.9 / 10; the eggs were pretty damn well poached, maybe a sliver on the side of runny; the bacon was tasty and well cooked - not quite proper crunchy; hollandaise was lovely with a hint of chilli spice, but not overdone. The bread was defo undertoasted but i think that’s probs cause it was defrosted in the toaster so it had about as much crunch as soft banana (still very edible though). The plating pesto was a nice addition, along with the well portioned spread of balsamic on the bread - welcomed on my plate and in my tummy. Price was a very reasonable $27 after a +1$ persecution fee for a genetic abnormality that I have no control over. I’d happily return; wouldn’t say i’m itching to though. As the @arbiterofeggs I decree a final bene score of 8.15 / 10. A sound choice.

The food at 25ml Cafe was quite average. The crispy chicken was served cold, portion sizes were small, and prices were relatively high. Parking is difficult, and the atmosphere can be noisy as some customers speak very loudly.

Great cafe, one of the best vegetarian breakfasts I've had! Quality ingredients and a bit of thought and effort went into it which was much appreciated. So filling it set us up for the day. My partner had the huge breakfast and loved his as well. Can absolutely recommend, great prices for what we had

We tried their Asian fusion dishes, including the beef salad, chicken salad, and Pad Thai. Each dish was absolutely delicious—the beef was juicy and flavorful, the chicken salad was fresh and satisfying, and the Pad Thai was perfectly balanced. We also ordered fries, which were crispy and tasty. Don’t miss out on their cacao smoothies; they’re a great choice for anyone seeking a healthy option. Always nice when we come across a good brunch spot out West! 25ml Café in Hobsonville was a fun experience for us. The menu has some familiar favourites you’ll see at many cafés. We came hoping to try their crispy pork, but it was crossed off the menu, which was a shame. Instead, we ordered the 25ml Huge Breakfast and the Malaysian Fried Kway Teow, along with a mocha and a vanilla iced latte with oat milk. The food was solid. I liked that they asked about our spice preference for the noodles (we went for quite spicy, and they delivered!). The Huge Breakfast had a good range of items, and while each was tasty, the overall combination felt like it could use a little more balance or a signature twist to pull it all together. The gourmet potatoes, though, were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Lots of promise here, and plenty of other dishes worth trying on another visit. The noodles were amazing, with a generous portion (no complaints here) and a good mix of meat and vegetables. The flavours reminded me of authentic Malaysian kway teow I’ve had before. It’s not your typical brunch choice, but I love the variety they offer. The food came out quickly, though it would’ve been nice to order at the table. The venue is lovely, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of potential, keep it up!

25 Ml café is a local spot which is loved by many. The cafe had been renovated and got a much needed face lift that adds to the overall nice experience. The food is always served with flair and there are different dishes to choose from , some with Asian influence. Overall, a cute place to eat and have a good cup of coffee.
