I am a regular customer who comes almost every two days, to the point the usual staff knows my name by face.
Today, almost every staff member looked new, the restaurant was half empty, but they dont even have a table just for one.
Upon a lot of back and forth confusion amongst themselves, the staff told me, everyone was waiting for the rest of their party.
We're talking four tops waiting on two, three tops waiting on two.
These tables then waited another 20+mins until filling, which frankly, by this time I would've finished a $40+ meal.
There needs to be seriously better processes in place - you're a small restaurant with limited inside seats with limited opening hours to cover limited table turnovers, why would you let customer hog covers of tables?
It was after these 30 mins it finally occurred to the staff to ask the multiple lines of people waiting if they'd like a coffee while they wait. 30 mins for first service.
And then, before a table has been completely wiped down, they told me to sit.
Food came at over 30mins wait.
That's just not good enough guys, up your game.
P. S. Also, there's been months of issues with eggs (ajitama) supplies. It's kind of ridiculous a japanese cafe runs out of eggs 2hrs after opening almost five days a week.
