29 Oxford Restaurant

I’ve been coming here since I was a child and the food is great, but the fact they still only do CASH ONLY after all of this time? It’s cheap (don’t want to pay the fees) and it drives customers away. I just had to order from the store across from them because they only take cash. It’s been 33 years… I think it’s time to loosen the purse strings and add other ways of accepting payments.

Food is so good been eating here for a minute fresh food never disappoints me the people who work here are great attitude are always good 10/10 i recommend this place to everyone I know ❤️

My bacon egg and cheese bagel was skimpy with the bacon and eggs as you can see by the picture, not impressed but I found my favorite waitress working here! Place is neat and clean. Maybe was a bad day.

Let me start by saying don't go in here expecting a traditional restaurant experience. This is an old school, fast paced, self-serve/take-out style diner that is CASH ONLY (has an ATM). That, however, is EXACTLY what I want for good breakfast on a busy weekday morning. And good doesn't begin to describe it. Staff are a well oiled machine used to a very busy fast-paced environment who are there to get your order, give you your food, and let you move on with your day. Now the food. Let me say, it isn't hard to make good home fries, but these were AMAZING. Onions and peppers in perfectly made home fries with perfect consistency and a taste to die for. No need to season them as they were perfectly seasoned. In my almost 41 years of life, these are the best damned home fries I've ever had! My eggs were made perfectly over medium with wonderful runny yolk like I love them and were wonderfully flavorful. Sausage patties were delicious as well, partner got pancakes that were fluffy and sweet even before the butter and syrup. Excellent diner, fast service. For anyone that likes this kind of place, it is up there for best ever!

The cheesesteak omelette is great. Prices are affordable and the food is delicious. Be mindful this place is *cash only*

It was nice to see Shrimp & Grits added to the menu. I think it cost about 11.25 however, I went with the pancakes which were deee-licious. You can get them in a two stack or a three stack. My cousin did get the Shrimp & Grits and he said they were legit so I'm definitely trying that next.

In terms of prices and breakfast food, this pick up spot is consistent, yummy and cheap. I like the potatoes with onion and peppers and the breakfast sandwiches are stuffed with egg and meat and a good amount of cheese. I asked for hot sauce and mayo and ketchup and was given the sauces on the side. Pictures of the pancakes always look great here as well, and it's the only spot on the block with coffee and iced coffee (but they usually close a little early, around 1:30)

Always a great go to, especially because it is around the corner from where I live. Consistently good food and breakfast beverages. I usually get chocolate chip pancakes and cheesy scrambled eggs. This place is just so good! Never a wait to be seated. Cash only!

A nice place for having breakfast and lunch. Plain food, frequented and run by locals, no chain madness.

Wait time is 5mins or less! I am very skeptical about ordering food from places I am not familiar with, but they did not cease to amaze me! Food was delicious, hot, and worth the $. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only giving a 4star because I only had their breakfast items.

Twenty Nine Oxford Restaurant is a cool little neighborhood spot with friendly service and decent breakfast options. in the past, I'd get a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich on wheat toast. I've also tasted the sausage, egg and cheese on potato bread toast. Both are very good. I know others who buy sandwiches and grits and other breakfast items regularly. It stays busy. You should check it out if you're ever in the neighborhood. Go.

the worst restaurant in brewerytown do not go to this restaurant i repeat do not go to this restaurant!!! ive been a customer for years and since this place has been under new management the service now sucks, today i came in with my 1 year old to dine in for breakfast ive sat there in the restaurant for about 10-15 minutes no one has greeted me nor asked me if i wanted to dine in or take out so at that point another customer who supposedly was a "regular" walked in and sat down at a table beside me; then walks over the waitress to take his order. i politely said "excuse me but ive been waiting here for 10-15 minutes you never asked me what i wanted . so she replied "oh he's a regular" so because he's a regular he gets to go ahead of me ??? (in my head im thinking) i wouldn't care if he's the freaking pope if i was here before him im suppose to get served first i was here before him, so she didn't say anything after that then i asked for the manager the waitress was yelling over her denying that she said any of that when the whole entire restaurant did so basically calling me a liar , the manager couldn't barely speak english so she had no idea what was wrong so she said $11.67 please smh thats the last 11 bucks this place will ever get from me for as long as i live !!!
