Love the chocolate H2O as it was so rich and delightful! Amazing blend of salty and sweet taste from the caramel sauce and the chocolate. Didn’t go for the pairing but it’s nice place for a (artistic and expensive) sweet treat. It used to be darker the last time I visited years ago, and now it’s brighter so it’s great. Excellent service staff who were polite and professional.

Went there on a weekday night, vibes was great. Really lovely and chill atmosphere. Had a dessert along with a cocktail and both are amazing. Love how there's an introduction given about the dessert and instructions/directions on how to enjoy the dessert fully. Would 100% go again

Desserts were beautifully crafted and tasted so good. Although the service crew were busy on a Saturday night, they were efficient and patient. They celebrated my mom’s birthday with complimentary chocolates as well. Thank you for the great service!

The moment you enter there's a very bad smell. We were 'welcomed' by this staff and the first thing she said after asking is if we have a reservation was , each person has to spend minimum 20 dollars today. It didn't feel good hearing that. (I spent way more than that per person lol). It simply felt like "if you don't spend more than 20 dollars per person then you are not welcome." Why is that something to tell? The service wasn't great either. The good part, they explain very nicely which is nice. They even show the food with lights after serving which is a nice touch. They also recommend what's good. They were also nice enough to recommend us non alcoholic stuff which was nice. The bad part, we dropped a spoon, so we asked for another. We literally asked 3 times. Twice to the same person once to another. Both of them forgot. Had to wait for quite a while. Food wise. Desserts were actually awesome. Loved them. So was the drink. The taco was good too! I'd go back for the food, but didn't really feel welcomed here. If we did we would have gotten more food too. Hope you improve on your service, because the food is great.

After 10 years, we are still amazed that @2amdessertbar is rockin their dessert craft. 🍫 I had the Chocolate H20 - which was a chocolate dessert (inaya chocolate?) drizzled with salted caramel and paired with a refreshing yuzu sobert; it came with chocolate soil, yuzu calamensi gel and caramel bavarois. I don't recall ever having yuzu with chocolate and this combination was surprisingly good! The inaya chocolate was layered and molten in the middle. I love the rich chocolate soil when dipped with the yuzu calamansi gel. 🍷 I had it with the drink pairing - a (red) Coppi Siniscalo Primitivo. It smelt very fragrant when introduced but surprisingly the notes weren't pronounced when drank. It was however smooth and light. My friend had the Sticky Date Pudding that was vegan and dairy free. It surprisingly tasted like dairy! It was served warm and enjoyable on a cold day. Service can be improved but we were amazed that the price for the desserts are more or less the same as 10 years ago. For this craftmanship, this is definitely value for money. Would love to try their other desserts in the future when we are back to Holland V!

Checked out 2am: dessertbar after dinner, thanks to a friend’s recommendation, and it was quite an experience. The place lives up to its name — open till late, perfect for a chill night out. The interior is really classy with dim lighting that sets a cozy, sophisticated vibe. The desserts were on another level — plated like fine dining dishes, each with so much thought and detail. What made it extra special was the chef coming over to explain the ingredients and inspiration behind what we were having, just like in a proper fine dining restaurant but focused entirely on sweets. Of course, the prices lean on the high side, but you’re really paying for the exclusivity, artistry, and that chic ambience. Not your everyday dessert stop, but definitely worth visiting for a special night out.

I celebrated my birthday at 2am Dessert Bar, and it was nothing short of amazing. The creativity, balance of flavours, and presentation were all exceptional. I tried their signature CHOCOLATE H2O, featuring Inaya Chocolate, chocolate soil, salted caramel, caramel bavarois, yuzu calamansi gel, and Kochi yuzu sorbet. Every bite was a beautiful mix of rich chocolate and refreshing citrus , indulgent yet perfectly balanced. The STRAWBERRY CAPRESE was another standout. With strawberry ice cream, lychee pearls, fresh and pickled strawberries, strawberry consommé, lavender marshmallows, and Benedictine jelly, it was refreshing, aromatic, and absolutely delightful. To top it off, their homemade churros coated in cinnamon sugar were warm, crispy, and comforting , the perfect finishing touch. (Contains eggs, dairy, and gluten for those with dietary needs.) Thank you, 2am Dessert Bar, for making my birthday extra sweet. Highly recommended for anyone who loves beautifully crafted desserts! 🎉🍰✨

Had a wonderful midnight birthday celebration at the dessert bar. The team was so thoughtful to surprise us with a complimentary “Happy Birthday” platter. It was my first visit here, and I loved the cozy ambiance and cheerful vibes. Leslie was exceptionally friendly, taking the time to introduce us to their dinner menu and cocktails. We will visit again soon

Creative desserts with several layers of flavor. I enjoyed looking at the desserts and admire the creative process and thinking that went behind the dessert. Janice Wong owner,pastry chef is the artist /chef/owner behind this dessert bar. Ambiance is cozy. Reservation is recommended.

Three stars would have been a generous figure. The service is agreeable- the staff are attentive, consistent and knowledgeable about the menu. There was slight hard selling in the form of aggressive and rapid rambling off the profile of the desserts and the available accoutrements in order to get you to cave. I don't think I needed the $6 chocolate dip for my churros, thanks. Now the main reason for the rating- the quality of the desserts are not commensurate to the prices charged. I can appreciate the concept behind the desserts and the intended nuances, but the fact is the taste did not meet the price tag or the hype. Seating is limited and nucleated, albeit with warm lighting and speakeasy style music. One big issue was the fact that the smell of fried fish greeted you as you entered the premises. This is a dessert bar. Not a good start. Also, very noisy and slightly rowdy, with the crowd veering to the younger, more affluent (and slightly pretentious) crowd. Insta-friendly but it ends there. Not the place for me.

Over hyped desserts? I think that's what it was for me. I was actually so excited to visit this place on my trip to Singapore but sadly, it didn't fulfill my sweet tooth. I wasn't impressed with the taste since I expected it to be an explosion of different flavors that blended well with one another. I think I had too high expectations which did not translate well. Chocolate H2O: ($22) Once again, presentation 10/10. It was on the dark side and tasted the same (like dark chocolate) throughout. The texture was nice but it didn't wow. Every bit was mushy like mousse. I don't know why I thought it would be layers of different flavors. The yuzu sorbet on the side was lovely though. Strawberry capresse: ($24) Quite liked this one. It was my favorite because I like yogurt and strawberry, and it tasted like both! Presentation was a 10/10 like usual. My friend was not impressed since it tasted like strawberry ice cream with strawberries and tapioca on top. Churros & hot chocolate +extra: ($15) the churros were nice, but the hot chocolate tasted like bitter milk to me. The chocolate taste itself was not very strong, and I think they could have added more chocolate. Cheesecake: ($17) My friends all loved this one. Enough said. If you like fancy desserts with a more expensive cost, then yes, this is a place for you. Presentation was a 10/10 for me, and I do believe the desserts took a long time to make since they were beautiful. However, my friends and I were not impressed with the taste. The atmosphere was super chill and upscale, like a more expensive bar. The location was a little bit hard to find, and portions are small. If I had the chance, I would come back and give it another try since I usually try things twice before I decide my true opinion on it.

3.5 Loved the atmosphere, very siimlar to the bars we used to frequent in New York so I instantly bookmarked it for dessert places to take visitors. it's located right across from the popular thai joint we frequent in Holland V. We got the Churros and Hot chocolate dip, sold separately, and it was good enough, except that the churros kept falling apart and was a bit over fried. but you really can't go wrong with churro + chocolate, so it was satisfying enough! The fail of a dish was the Purple, with blackberry sorbet and lavendar marshmallows, which we expected more from the price and by the raving reviews on Yelp. We had better desserts elsewhere for much cheaper- it was basically Manhattan prices with child-size portions and no wow-factor. Another downer was the sad waiter in his 20s- he looked as if he hated working there and didn't' say ONE word when handing us/collecting the check and as we were leaving. It was just an odd sight to see at such a hip bar but hopefully next time he's in a better mood. overall, great place to go with friends for the atmosphere and perhaps drinks, but not for the dessert alone.

Tucked at the end of the road in a pretty trendy neighborhood lined with a mix-match of eateries lies 2am. It is easy to miss in its nondescript building with its sign in the window. Come here for the final course of the evening: dessert. It is an impressive collection of sweet treats that are a beautiful end to an evening. Skip the dinner items and the service leaves a lot to be desired. We should have gone to another local restaurant in the neighborhood for dinner. The savory dishes were rather lackluster. Everything we ordered seemed to be missing a final touch to make it a good dish. The mac and cheese lacked the truffle essence while the popcorn chicken seemed dry. The tacos were alright, while the sliders were simple and make you say "i've had better." The desserts are the showpiece and the reason you come here. The selection is pretty impressive and go with a group if you are willing to share and get a bite from each. The churros were pretty fantastic, especially with the hot chocolate dipping pot. Cheesecake was light but offered a pretty nice contrast in flavors from the baileys and the passion fruit, while the chocolate pop-rocks cake was a nice play on a childhood favorite. The ambiance is rather dark and contemporary. It comes across rather cold and a throwback to a 90s design aesthetic. Its ok, but not something you your mom and dad would appreciate. Service was rather uncomfortable and they seemed to lack a confidence in their knowledge of the menu while they watched to the point where you couldn't really chat with your friends. At the end of it, the ambiance and service present a feeling: cold and unwelcomed.

Visited without a reservation on a Tuesday night and was lucky to grab a sofa booth for 5. Desserts are gorgeously plated, interesting mix of flavors. Pricey though, and portions are decent though not big. Each dish was fun and pleasantly surprising - recommend sharing (we ordered 3 desserts for 5) - Cassis Plum ($24) - cassis bomb, elderflower yogurt foam, choya granita, yuzu pearls, yuzu rubies: it's reminiscent of a mangosteen when broken open. This dish is more tart than sweet, could provide a nice foil to the other sweeter places. The cassis shell was enjoyable, and I really liked the choya granita. I'd have preferred the yogurt foam inside to be chilled though. - Hojicha Sesame ($18) - tofu parfait, Hojicha custard, pear vodka sorbet: the Hojicha definitely shone. I liked the refreshing sorbet. Wasn't the hugest fan of the tofu parfait though surprisingly, slightly too gummy for me. - Chocolate H2O ($20) - 65% dark chocolate, salted caramel, Evian, kochi yuzu sorbet: my favorite of the three. Highly recommend this! Loved the sorbet, and the chocolate unanimously wowed. It's a hard shell outside but breaks easily to reveal an airy chocolatey interior. Very interesting texture - literally dissolves in your mouth. Pricey but definitely worth a visit. I'd return to try the other dishes. They are also currently running a nespresso promotion with special desserts.

Dimly-lit, small, well-hidden, noisy. Just about sums up the atmosphere of this nice dessert restaurant & bar. Seated around us were yuppies and the more well-heeled. Well, if desserts and drinks are going to be at the range of SGD15-25, you're gonna attract that kind of clientele. I enjoyed their desserts - being artistically plated attempts at justifying their prices but by and large, thankfully, the desserts are yummy. Forget the churros. Average. I enjoyed the chocolate one more than the purple one. The former had a lush, luscious chocolatey taste which appealed to the chocolate fiend in me without being too overpoweringly sweet. Purple ( with lavender marshmallows, purple potato purée and blackberry parfait) was sour, and while some would enjoy citrusy notes, u must confessed the artistic plating and the rich purple (color) were what did it for me. All in all, I might go back. If I was feeling rich.

This place gets 5 stars because there simply is no other place like it and the concept and quality are pretty damn good. This is an actual desert bar with a degustation (tasting) menu of 8-10 bite sized desserts that are inspired from around the world if you choose to go that route. Or you can do what we did and select 3 normal desserts a la carte. That's what makes this place so cool, it's a luxurious and hip place with cool booth and bar seatings where you can watch the chefs make your desserts (and cocktails if you choose). This is one of those spots that really are dreams coming to life, passion filled idea becoming a business. The music is a good mix of party club background music and some rock in there, very cool setting. My girlfriend and I sat at the counter during a Friday evening and ordered these 3 desserts: 1) Shades of Green - Pistachio sponge cake, coco mousse and pandan ice cream - THIS ONE WAS REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD. REALLY! 2) Chocolate H20 - Dark chocolate, salted caramel, Evian (?), Yuzu sorbet - This is good if you have a chocolate craving. The Yuzu sorbet didn't really go well with the savory chocolate main dessert though. 3) Green Tea Tart - Green tea tart with jasmine rice sorbet. This one was ok, I wouldn't recommend it. Many other great desserts on the menu. Very cool place that I highly recommend checking out for late night dessert craving. We didn't do any cocktails but they all looked way too sweet to pair with sweet desserts. If you're on a date or with one other person, make sure you make a reservation to sit at the counter, makes it that much more fun if you can see your desserts in preparation.

A sexy mirror door entrance, subdued lighting, booth seating, popular hipster fixtures and interior design. For a guy like me, who goes savoury over sweet every time, a dessert bar could have been a disappointing place to visit. Fortunately 2am wasn't going to be that place. Instead I would say it is a place for rare treats, for dates, for indulgent moments with people you love (or like very much). We went for a variety of dishes, it is advisable to skim through the ingredients to see if anything catches your eye, for better or for worse. I won't go into detail over what we ate except to say that the churros were exceptional and the chocolate H2O was rich, indulgent and delicious. Whilst the service is very slow and a bit inefficient, (our table of plates were half taken, our order was originally mis-taken [although rectified] and our water just didn't come) the venue makes up for it by being polite and through the care and effort that goes into preparing each dish. I thoroughly enjoyed eating here!

Came here on a Thursday night at 2140 hours, and we didn't make a reservation. I've been here a few times and I must caution everyone to make a reservation if you are coming here on a weekend night. This place was quite full for a Thursday night. We ordered the chocolate tart and Purple, which didn't arrive and we were getting rather impatient. We checked and our waitstaff didn't log the choco tart in, causing the 40 minute delay in getting our desserts. Never mind that. Purple came, and oh boy, was it beautiful, AND delish. Googled the components because I forgot what was inside - purple potato, cassis parfait, lavender and marshmallow. Please order this. I was in the mood for something fruity, but I wasn't prepared for the explosion of purple and flavor. Yum! It looks very little for the price, but I assure you it's well worth it. Texture, flavor, contrast, complement. This dessert ticks off everything. Our choco tart was cancelled because we couldn't wait any longer, so we ordered a portion of 3 sorbets/ice-creams. We had - Valrhona choco, yuzu, and blood orange. Perfect combination, start with yuzu, move on to blood orange, then choco, and end with yuzu. Very refreshing. I would say this is the best yuzu sorbet I've ever had in my short life. The service here is iffy, and they probably need to hire more waitstaff, because I saw some of the assistant pastry chefs and the owner herself waiting on tables. Service time was unacceptable, but oh my, worth the wait (if you have the time and don't have to work tomorrow). Again, I cannot stress the importance of reservations here. Enjoy!

I love 2am Dessert Bar!! The perfect place to go to unwind after a long day over gourmet cocktails and specialty dessert. Sure, it's a little pricey but hey, you definitely get what you pay for. Almost everything I've tried here has been amazing (my personal favorite being the Churros + Hot Chocolate dip, the ultimate comfort food!). Cocktails are amazing too and, wait for it... strong (don't you just hate when it tastes like nothing but juice?) All the desserts and cocktails are brought out and explained to you (e.g you have a warm tart base with blah blah and blah blah drizzled over with... you get the drift), the service is impeccable (I love the angmoh guy who works there, I'm not sure if he's the owner/manager but he pretty much runs the place), and the ambience is spot on. Definitely one of my fav late night spots for whenever I'm back home in Singapore!

Award-winning dessert chef!! Desserts that cost less than some cocktails in Singapore!! Cassis Plum is her signature dessert, so had to try this one first. It was a refreshing dessert that achieved a nice balance between tart and sweet. The yuzu pearls added a fun additional texture and flavor. Almost ordered the Cacao Forest, because earl grey, miso, whisky, and cotton candy in one dessert?! Unlikely, adventurous pairings such as these intrigue me. Also ordered the ever-popular churros, because, why not...it was just too tempting. They were actually quite heavy and oily. Need to be eaten immediately or the oil just takes over, and it becomes a wet sponge. There's also a short list of savory items, but dessert comes before savory on the menu. Not too often you can find an entire restaurant featuring innovative desserts, so hats off to Janice Wong and 2am.

This dessert hideout at a secluded corner of Holland Village had been on my list since it was opened years ago. The chef-owner Janice had won numerous awards for her pastry creations. However, there seemed to be less positive reviews than negative ones. Some felt that the quality/portions of the desserts did not justify the expensive price tag while some felt the service was lacking. Finally mustered the necessary courage to visit and well, our experience was not fantastic but not too bad. The Red Miso Caramel ($15) with mustard crumble sparked my curiosity as saltish desserts often excelled better than purely sweet desserts. The miso lemon foam was robust enough to pair with the slightly tangy mustard yuzu meringue, though my partner found the match rather odd. This interesting dessert would not dull your taste buds, even though the mustard taste was faint. This Southeast Asian style dessert is named "Shades of Green" ($14) had nothing to do with trees but 2Ps--pistachio and pandan. The pistachio sponge and coconut mousse were quite forgettable, but what I remembered was the sweet and aromatic pandan gula melaka custard. Overall not too dense nor overly sweet. If you like kaya toasts or nyonya kuehs like ondeh ondeh just like me, you might love this one There was a petite tasting menu, from which we ordered the sticky toffee pudding. But at $10 for a small slice, it was pricy and I should have stuck to the regular menu. With some wacky combinations of ingredients, I would not say that the desserts are extremely overpriced but more or less, on par with most western restaurants and even cafes here. At least they are not boring repetitions of molten lava cake, creme brulee or apple crumble. That said, don't be like me who wanted to save money by ordering the cheaper petite tasting creations. If you wish to go, do check out their website calendar as their opening days are irregular.

Great selection of atas desserts, very creative with the naming, ingredients and arrangement. I went with a couple of friends and we shared Purple, Cassis Plum bombe and Truffle Infinity. I also tried the Umeshu Elderflower cocktail and that was delicious (anything with elderflower is delicious I realized, I've never seen the plant in real life but I imagine if I did I'll eat it all up). We were joking about what if Truffle Infinity, which was a chocolate-based dish, really contained the fungus sort of truffle instead of chocolate truffles, but I guess joke's on us because we really tasted the truffle fries sort of truffles in the middle of all the chocolate. It's a very interesting flavor especially with the basil sorbet at the top, I doubt I'll ever find something like that again, so props to the place for its imaginative pairing. The Cassis bombe was a round hollow cassis cake filled with yogurt. It has a very tart flavor, not recommended for those who like their desserts rich and sweet. Very refreshing though, especially with the plum flavored jellies in various shapes around it. Purple was an arrangement of tiny purple semispheres of parfait and sorbet. I think it's adorable, but more like a piece of art than dessert. Would come back here again for the drinks and try out other desserts

3 stars at best. Presentation and creativity deserves a 5. The flavors just didn't go well and for it to be pricey it's just not worth it. You must spend a minimum of 15sgd per person which the waitress repeated 3x. Ok I get it. The pastry chef wasn't there herself so maybe that's why? The purple was sour, there was a black sesame one which was not bad, and the chocolate h20 was horribly bitter.

Great deserts with really good service. We sat at the bar and watched how they hand crafted each dessert. They are true chocolate artists :).

I like it that they have wine and dessert pairing suggestions. I tried the kayambe and suggested wine today. The kayambe is interesting, many layers of flavour and the wine selection is good! This place is dead serious about dessert ! I'll definitely come back again.

Chi-chi dessert bar with outstanding concoctions by a very talented young chef, it's a little haven overlooking Holland Village, and one of those places that you have to try at least once. The reclining daybeds "seats" are great for cosying up to your date while you share a spoon over coconut sorbet or the well-mastered classics like tiramisu, and chocolate tarts. Those who are gunning for a more adventurous experience here will do well to try the Kayambe H20 cake, made from 72% fine Michel Cluizel dark chocolate and Evian, or Popcorn, composed of a tangy yuzu strip, with alternate salty and sweet popcorn mousse. Basil white chocolate was the dish that impressed me the most. With several complex textures, comprising fluffy pieces, a passionfruit leather, creamy coconut sorbet and seagrapes (or "sea caviar" to Okinawans), this masterpiece blew my mind and would be the main reason for my return if ever again. The prices threw me off a little -- I wasn't used to spending main course prices on desserts -- but Basil white chocolate was definitely worth the splurge. There are also recommended wine pairings for most desserts for those looking for the full gastronomical experience.

In my opinion, every famous posh place faces a lot of scrutiny and criticism. I've heard so much of 2am dessert bar in the last few years that I'm amazed I never actually went. Today being singapore's 50th, I simply had to honour the day with a little patriotism and find out what all the fuss (about chef Janice Wong) is about. Since I'm sure there are plenty of reviews on this place, I'm going to write this one a little differently. Here are some things I've heard and my opinion: 1. Overpriced, atas, not worth the price: I'll admit it is expensive but tonight was the first night my hippie of a boyfriend said an expensive high end place I brought him to was worth the price and he'd bring his parents someday. This is the first among a string of award-winning, rave-reviews-earning restaurants around parts of the world we've lived in or travelled to. So, you can decide for yourself if it is overpriced after trying it out too! The chances are that you'll come to the same conclusion as us. There is a minimum spending per person on certain days though! 2. Tacky: I don't know what classifies as tacky anymore, what with the hipsters thinking everything is tacky if it is not old in a cool way, so if you ask me, this place is about as cool as it gets. It has a nice bar vibe without being too noisy or busy. 3. Overhyped: Chef Janice Wong is good, quite simply put. I didn't believe I could be so in love with every dish I had but I am. I wish I could be her, making pretty confectionery and insanely creative food installations. The great positives that earned that last star on the review: 1. They mixed up our order and gave us a free tart. We ordered the green tea tart, and they gave us the chocolate tart on the house. They could easily have taken it back, but I'm glad they did not because it was good and I'll go back for more now. 2. The wine/cocktail pairings were quite on point. A rich chocolate dessert balanced with sorbet and served with a decent red wine was just such a great combination. 3. They apologised for any inconsistency even though we would never have known or minded anyway. These apologies included the different plate used from the norm for one dish and change in flavour of the cocktail. 4. Interesting and well-paired flavours in each dish ensured that my impression wasn't marred by the fact that one dish was simply too weird, boring or terrible. The lavender marshmallows were subtle but still had a hint of lavender, ideal for such a strong flavour, while the strong matcha was lightened by the rice sorbet and the dark chocolate was made less intense and rich by the evian. 5. They have $5 churros that were actually decent and tasted like what you'd get in Europe. Enough said. 6. The very friendly staff were constantly smiling and made us feel really welcome and comfortable. If you have never tried this place, I'd strongly recommend heading down maybe for a special occasion if you can't justify the spending. The place is small but I don't think it's too busy. Even on sg50 night, we didn't have to wait for seats. There isn't a dress code either thankfully, and is very aptly relaxed and friendly; I wouldn't call it too posh at all!

I came here last night, 03/23/2018, as part of my to experience list while I was in Singapore. To be totally honest, I was expecting to be wow'ed and mind blown. You can imagine my disappointment when it was all said and done. My sister started with a sorta pink cocktail that I can't remember and I had the mist. Both were excellent. Then, we had the 3 course menu each without pairing because the spring menu was not available due to the ingredients not being available during this time. SERVICE: The service was not terrible but bad. They weren't very hospitalable and much to our surprise, clueless about the beverages and menu. I asked our server how dry or sweet the bottle of champagne we are ordering and she looked at me like I was speaking alien. So I asked if it was brut or demisec. She says not brut but sure enough when the bottle came it was brut. For some reason I felt like they looked down on me and my sister. Never have I ever felt so different in a restaurant. DRINKS: cocktails were excellent and the sparkling/ champagne were great for the price. DESSERTS: Recap I had the Zen menu and my sister had the playful menu. Plating wise, it was a hit and miss. The pistachio and stone desserts looked great while the matcha tart looked terrible, pretty nice quenelle tho (even tho there was a gaping hole on its side) and so on and so forth. Flavors The taste is what the menu says. There was no complexity in terms of flavor. Like I said, bland. To summarize it, I was sadly disappointed. Maybe next time?

the 2am:dessertbar (ah, the days when punctuation oft made its way into titles and store names) has a marked place on the asian san pelligrino award list, and a blurb much lauding the skills of its head chef. and was it good? I certainly thought it was on par with many of the innovative, deconstructed desserts I've had at good (and expensive) full-fledged restaurants (as opposed to this slip of a place serving up only drinks and sweet constructions) - which already puts it at an enviable standard. whether she's the best pastry chef in asia - that's certainly subjective. it was an experience observing the action at the bar counter in full view of the plating action. the restaurant has bar seating, slouchy couch type seats (reserve these if you must, as these go quickly) and high tables - the first and second best for couples, the latter good for groups. it's an interesting concept, as you realize the chef doesn't really do much interaction with guests (which is often the point of bar seating), but instead spends the time speeding back and forth getting her components ready since she's running the show solo (waiters aside). we took two desserts: the mediterranean (olive oil ganache, white peach and rosemary) and the kayambe h2o (a chocolate connection of frozen dark chocolate mousse). they both arrived as works of art - it's undeniable the effort that must go into the preparation of the individual components, and you certainly see the involved plating involved - but after such an incredible wait, our experience was tempered both by impatience and hunger. but both plates were delicious, and definitely special. it's a level of dining you'd expect in a five star establishment as part of a kitchen filled with patissiers and sous chefs running about, not in a tiny bar in holland village. the mediterranean especially for the rosemary air - which was some sort of slightly frozen, melt-in-the-mouth confection that was incredibly savory (and yet not out of place on a sweet plate) - though not to forget mentioning that every component played well together (I would go so as as to suggest rationing components out so they last till you finish). but service is slow, desserts aren't cheap - so it's best for a date night, not a dessert pig-out.

If you are out of place to go at night, you might want to check out this dessert bar located at Holland Village. Well, its location would have given off that there is a price tag on it. There has to be a minimum spending for each person, an $15. It seems more like a cover charge. Food wise, try the Argauani , which is a mixture of sweet and sour from its chocolate and Yuzu. The mixture has different taste texture and you would have tasted the bitter taste from the dark chocolate. Definitely a choice for anyone who has a sweet tooth too! Another food to try is the cheese cake avalanche, to some it may appear that it has a full load orchestra of ingredients and flavours, you will find cheese obviously, rock melons, figs and jam sauce. It is quite confusing for a start as all your taste buds are working real hard to find its unique taste.

Very expensive, poor service but nice desserts. Very creative but we expected more. My companion advises not to order the chamomile sour because it tastes gross. Ambience was eclectic, vibrant and hip.

The dessert is good, impressive and surprising but the service is horrible. When they see you walk in, they turn their head away and shuffled off pretend to be busy. Apparently it is the same for anyone that walks in as we observe during our meal. Another staff just use her eyes and lifting her head to point the direction for your table. You are really treated like an "invisible" customer.

Come here if you are in need of sugar rush! I had churos which serves as a pretty awesome pick me up dessert. It comes with hot chocolate as the dip.

Don't believe all the hype about this place. The desserts are made to be looked at, not to be eaten. The presentation is really creative and if all you wanna do is post food photos online, then this is for you. If you actually want to taste and eat what you paid for, then go elsewhere.

This place salvages a three star rating because of the atmosphere. The desserts are way over-hyped in my opinion and priced far beyond what they're worth. The churros and hot chocolate were the best dish we had but were nevertheless underwhelming and exceedingly bitter. The chocolate forest dessert was such an odd selection of flavours it was impossible to discern what the goal was. It is almost as if so much is attention to distinguishing the look of the dishes that the flavour profile is just sort of thrown together. I am sad to say this feels like a place seeming high-class by making its dishes rather obscure just for the sake of appearance.

A nice dessert bar that captures the high-end experience with pretty reasonable prices. There's a $15 min. per person, you will easily hit that if each person orders a dessert (which runs anywhere from $15 - $25). We got the churros which one serving was more than enough for the two of us. They were warm, doughy, and very tasty, albeit too much sprinkled sugar. We also ordered the cheese cake. Tasted fine and came with a hodgepodge of jello, marshmellow and fruit bits. Didn't do much but was nice. As others have commented, the service is a little lacking. We sat at the bar and besides the initial order we had zero contact with the staff. Even when we left, no one said anything. Sophisticated vibe does not mean you need to sacrifice small customer touch points.

Best cocktails in Singapore. Period. There is a Mexican barman - the guy is an artist. Dont worry about looking at the menu, just tell him what you like and he will create something for you. Food was ok, we only had chicken pop corn, it was last order (after kitchen was closed) so its ok.

The host is a bit rude, but the desserts are to die for. The chocolate cake with popping hazelnut is a must try.

A bit pricey but definitely worth it for what you get. Very original dessert and drink menu, plus super cozy couch. Trust me you don't wanna leave

This place reminds me of Chikalicious in NY, a gourmet dessert place and I haven't come across another place like this in Singapore. Even though this is not a new concept, I am impressed with the execution here. So I was grateful that my friend suggested this place when we were drinking in wala wala one saturday night. It was around midnight when we arrived at 2 am and the place was full, so we left our names and went to the tiny bar downstairs. Halfway through our first drink, we got a call telling us there's a table so the wait was not that bad. Since we had a big group, we ordered almost every item on the menu so I got to try everything. I have to say almost everything tasted delicious but I guess the thing that left an impression on me was how surprising some of the texture and combination of flavors were. The chocolate H2O had a very interesting texture - it's halfway between solid and liquid or I should say it's like halfway between chocolate and chocolate ice cream, I also like the saltiness of the salted carmael which quite matched the chocolate flavor. The popcorn really did taste like popcorn so I felt I was at the movies. The ice cream offered the least surprise (well it looked and tasted like ice cream and is actually ice cream) but they tasted good nonetheless. Prices are on the high side but I guess self-indulgence once in a while is not that bad? I have not been so satisfied in a long time and I was very glad we came here, and at 2 am too!

If i can give an negative star i would. Made a reservation today at 330pm via a phone call yesterday. I waited till 4pm and called their line numerous time to no avail. Just called in and they said they have a meeting in the afternoon and ask me to go on any day for a free dessert on the house. I am not calling in for a free dessert. Ur irresponsible and unprofessional service staff is really appalling.

A haven for night owls with a sweet tooth, 2AM: Dessert bar is all about desserts that resemble works of art. A relatively nice and comfortable place to wind down the evening to, there's a choice of daybeds where you can recline or the usual counter seats if you're conscious about taking off your footwear. The servers are all attentive and will explain each dessert when you are served, so you know exactly how it was prepared and made. Most of the times, I'll request for a normal seating as its much easier to enjoy the desserts and speak, but if you're there with your other half, the daybed option is definitely much more interesting. Just don't make out or you'll find the entire bar looking your way.

2 a.m dessert bar is the perfect place to bring a date to. The lighting is sufficiently dim, and who on earth can resist the mouthwatering temptations that chef Janice Wong serves up. Dessert portions though tend to be on the small side, and prices are slightly high. That being said though, they are justified. The ingredients used in the desserts are top notch, and the atmosphere is rather sexy. Bring someone here to impress him, and the night is all set (in my humble opinion).

This is a splurge but worth it for a rare self-treat. The signature dessert is the Kayambe H2O, frozen dark chocolate mousse which has an extremely light and airy texture. On my second visit I tried their green tea tart which might not sound like much on paper but is a thing of beauty. The inside of the tart is warm, thick matcha custard that oozes out when you bite into it. We also had their tiramisu, which wasn't particularly memorable apart from the fact that it seemed like a Derrida-wannabe had had a go at it. One downside of this place is that the law of diminishing marginal returns kicks in extremely fast. After the first few desserts, the rest seem formulaic and way overpriced. Seems like it's always something-mousse (dehydrated, of course) plus small bits of fancy ingredients scattered semi-arbitrarily on the plate surface, a la mode. Also, service staff on the snooty side, they forgot to call us when we finally got counter seats. We were told 45 minutes and after waiting an hour we caved in and called them up and were told perfunctorily that yes seats were available. We also felt ignored quite a bit.

My second visit here after a 5 year gap and found the same ordinary desserts. We could see the chef make it intently and was definitely expecting more but it did not hit the mark unfortunately.
