Georges Oceanside Bar & Grill (Formerly Sage Bistro)

Whenever we go for seafood my wife orders crab cakes. I chose to visit 2Georges based on the crab cake photos in the reviews. We were not disappointed! We both ordered the same thing which is unusual, and we both loved it. My wife says they’re her new favorite crab cakes. Christine, our server, was great and the restaurant was clean and inviting. We both really liked the Caesar salad as well. Lots of garlic and a nice anchovy flavor in the dressing. I could eat a bowl of house made croutons. We tried the bread pudding for dessert and it was delicious as well. It’s made with croissants. It’s not really a traditional bread pudding but it’s tasty nonetheless. I’d say they’re a bit pricey but worth every cent. My wife says the crab cakes are a “ten out of ten!” They’re truly the star of the show.

We shared the pork chops that were cooked to perfection. Loved the wedge salad. Huge portions, delicious food. Fun drink menu, great service. Inside and outside seating. Reasonable prices. Fun seating areas for children. Would definitely return here.

2geroges is an outstanding restaurant! My partner and I had a fantastic experience—from the food and drinks to the incredible hospitality of the owners (Jeff & Jeannine) and staff (Joe & Christine). Everyone made us feel so welcome. If you’re a seafood lover, the crab cakes are an absolute must. They’re packed with generous lumps of crab in every bite—truly some of the best we’ve ever had. And while they’re known for their crab cakes, don’t sleep on the steak—it was just as impressive. The combination of amazing food, warm atmosphere, and genuine hospitality makes 2geroges a must-visit whether you’re local or just passing through. We can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back whenever we’re in the area!

Finally back after the change from Sage to 2georges. Mostly a change in name and ambiance (more of a beachy vibe, which I guess makes sense), but the menu remains (mostly) the same (which is a good thing). Still pricey (for the Cape), but still one of the best meals on the Space Coast.

Phenomenal crab cakes! Everything was delicious. Husband and wife owners who are waiting tables and cooking, you can tell they are passionate about their business. Everything was delicious, we will be back!

13 of us stopped by today for lunch. What a treat. Great setting, friendly staff and delicious food. What more can you ask for. Best part they are now open for Lunch Monday thru Saturday. Can wait to go back and try every item in their menu. Good came out fast considering the size of our group. There is something for everyone.

This place is truly one of a kind! The food is amazing (crab cakes, steak, crab stuffed Mahi) all the way to the bread and Cesar salad as well! The owner, Jeff, stopped by and truly let it shine how proud he is of his work. His wife was just as kind! They truly care about their employees, the food they create, and the service they gave. If you are in town, you are CRAZY not to stop by!

Went here for an early dinner. Wife had lobster roll but not with mayo. George offered to steam the lobster and serve with melted butter. ''Twas delicious. I had the twin crab cakes, minimal filler and lots of clumps of crab. Came with romaine salad with cuke, green peppers and heirloom tomatoes. Some of the best crab cakes I've had in a while. I've meant to dine here so many times but for some reason never ended up there. I'm so thankful I got taken to a beautiful lunch at what used to be Sage bistro now 2georges Oceanside Bar and Grill - Formerly Sage Bistro. I'm am seriously blown away. We tried a few different things and sampled each others. Every single bite was a treat! You don't find food like this around here. Great service, fresh and quality ingredients. Such a hidden gem. Or maybe everyone knows and I'm late to the party! The mushroom Chardonnay soup was out of this world! Veggie spring rolls...yum!! Freshest caprese salad Crab cake was packed with all huge, tender and sweet crab. No filler. Amazing remoulade. Wedge salad with crispy fresh bacon and the yummiest homemade blue cheese dressing Muffuletta Sandwich...imported delicious Italian meets and the best homemade chips They're changing names but not the amazing food. If you haven't gone yet...run!

Warm Hospitality and attentive service in this family owned establishment. Excellent service and comfortable dining with cute decor. What a beautiful experience. The staff, food and ambience were all great! We had 7 people in our party and they were able to accommodate all our requests as we have 2 family members with food allergies. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, even the 3 kids. We will definitely go back.

Frazier and Niles on the sitcom Frazier said it best when they went dining. Nothing beats a perfect meal other than a perfect meal with one little flaw that you can nitpick all night. Therefore,don't miss out on this hidden gem.

What a wonderful place we discovered today. After years of passing by, we decided to try it. We are so glad we did! To start, this restaurant is absolutely adorable! What eclectic and fun decor. The restrooms are so fun. Just wait until you check it out. Be sure to try the mouthwash after your seafood. Yes! Mouthwash in the restroom. Next let's talk about the food. My family tried several different items, including the mushroom soup, chicken, Caesar salad, Ahi tuna, Smashburger, and Philly cheesesteak. We completed our lunch with the salted caramel brownie a la mode. It was one of the best lunches we've had in the area! Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The best thing was the soup and the brownie. Don't leave without trying these two! Lastly, the staff was fantastic! The waitresses were both helpful with recommendations, very attentive and overall friendly. Then we had the pleasure of meeting the husband and wife owners, both of whom were wonderful! They shared their story of how they bought the restaurant. It was so nice chatting and learning about them. If you're in the area, we highly recommend eating here for lunch or dinner.

Such a great eating experience when you're visiting Cape Canaveral! After I walked in, I felt the warm vibes coming from this place. Everyone who worked there was so sweet and not to mention the food was amazing! I loved the curry sauce on the scallops and how light they were. The chorizo crusted sea bass (I got mahi since they didn't have sea bass when I went) is a must try! Highly recommend coming here!

All 10 of us loved the meal. Pork chop was the best ever and drinks and desserts were amazing. Excellent service too!!

We have been wanting to visit the Sage Bistro for years, it seems we never think about it until after we have already eaten. They were so worth the wait! We went with friends for a birthday celebration. The place was so cute! The food was good and the service was great. We ordered the scallop tapas, the German pork shank, the ribeye steak and bread pudding. Our friends had the lobster lasagna and the ahi tuna. It was upscale and affordable. They do offer a discount if you pay cash. There was also an extensive wine and drink menu. We will be back!

Before our cruise, I searched Yelp for a great restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. This had great reviews and one not too good. I made reservations as suggested. Being a scratch made restaurant, I thought they were going to be very busy. The owner (the mom) greeted us and I told her we had spoke on the phone (I wanted a birthday surprise) as a reminder. The restaurant was not busy at all and the clientele was older. They were already decorated for the holidays and looked cozy. We went in with high hopes though! We ordered the daily special, calamari. It was the best thing we had, sadly. Flavorful, good portion. Off to a good start. Next was the bread (not house made) overall hit the spot and salads. We really couldn't tell the dressing was homemade and they were proportioned and bland. Hubby got the Angus steak with Jameson Demi glaze, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. I had the fresh catch, a white fish that I had never heard of and the name escapes me now, with seasoned rice and green beans. Our son had the daily special of Cajun lobster pot pie. Now the not so good news, steak over cooked, glaze was more of a bad gravy that strangled any Angus beef taste. Basic mashed potatoes and asparagus. My fish was tough, I really wish I could remember the name. Rice tasted and looked just like the wild rice a roni. Green beans were drenched in olive oil. The lobster pot pit was basically a Cajun cream soup topped with puff pastry. During the meal, I had mentioned to the server about it being a special occasion twice, remember I had requested a birthday dessert during the reservation. Nothing- no mention, no dessert (I was going to purchase it of course). Overall, basic food, no real scratch made taste, overhyped and service not what I expected. I wouldn't return. But, we had a great birthday cruise the next day so there's that!

Friendly & Welcoming even if just having tapas- Crab cakes are a must! Soup today was tasty too! Cocktails were just right!

Liked Sage Bistro a great deal! We happened to be there for Happy Hour and were offered a crisp, fresh Spanish white wine (sorry, do not remember the name/winery); a red was offered as well. We had three or four appetizer plates that had great taste. We sat at their small bar and enjoyed the knowledgeable (former kitchen staff) bartender. Oh no! So sorry, Jeannie, I have confused two very good spots in Cocoa. The above review was meant for another bistro - as you could obviously tell from my description off the "small bar," etc. . However, I am very fond of Sage Bistro as well. We enjoyed a great lunch and wine at your restaurant, and your service was great. We will be back!

This was a nice little restaurant. It was relatively quiet when we had dinner. The bread was warm and delicious. My wife got a rum runner, which seemed to be rum punch with banana flavoring. She loved it. I had the scallops for my entrée and they were delicious. There were plenty of them and they were tender. It came with a small salad, which was fine. The sides (rice and asparagus) were just average. My wife had the traditional salad with grilled mahi-mahi on top. The fish was a generous portion, but just a little dry. Worth a visit while you're in Cocoa Beach.

Good fish tacos. The lemon aioli was really yummy. Very much a "bar" atmosphere. Order at the counter in the back ... they all seemed pretty busy behind the counter, but they did take our order and our food came out quickly. We sat outside on a nice patio... Nothing special, it is in a strip mall next to a main road after all.

Can't say enough about this wonderful little gem. We've been coming here for many years- from when there was an Izzy (RIP). Food is always wonderful. Service is wonderful and from servers who know their job well. No placing a request and getting half of what you asked for because "I forgot". Just an all around too-notch restaurant

I came to visit CC for work when I sat down and the bartender and the owners remember my name and what I ordered last time. You can't beat that for attention to detail. The baked potato soup was fabulous and the Smashburger, which was on the lunch menu that they made for me. I recommend Monday night availability. The bartender -Capri-is amazing and I recommend a 25% tip. I'll be back. Check it out! Vicki.

We visited The Sage Bistro recently and were so happy to find they're open for lunch! We had a delicious lunch!! I had the mushroom Chardonnay soup and it was the most fantastic soup I've ever had. I would've taken a gallon home if I had a container. My husband had the crab cake sandwich and thoroughly enjoy it. We sat at the bar and Linda was most engaging and treated us like old friends. Owners Jeanine and Jeff were very friendly, easy to talk to. They shared their story that brought them to the Sage and its transformation. The Sage Bistro is definitely worth our trip from Orlando! We'll be back!!

I don't typically write yelp reviews, but I had to pause and give this establishment 5 stars! My wife and I popped by for an early dinner while on a cruise port-call and wow - everything was amazing. We got the Shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, chicken alfredo, & ended with the salted caramel crusted brownie. Every dish blew us out of the water with flavor. Pacing of the meal and hospitality of our host and waitress was fantastic. Highly recommend visiting if in the Cocoa beach are!

Good food made from scratch. Welcoming and friendly service ready to meet your needs. A warm and comfortably furnished facilities all combine for a fine dining experience. We highly recommend this experience. The 4.6 is a slightly low but good rating.

A more upscale spot in the Cocoa Beach area. Service was really friendly and they take reservations. Would definitely recommend if you're going later in the night or have a larger party. I got their Pork Chop for my entrée. Well seasoned, but a bit too salty for my liking. Overall, cooked nicely and was good. For appetizers, they had a special of Crab-Stuffed Shrimp Wontons. Plump shrimp with a good crisp from the wonton wrapping.

Food was amazing! I'm a Marylander & had the jumbo lump crab cake...it was amazing!! Owners are very friendly! We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing dinner. The Chardonnay Mushroom soup was unbelievable. I saw a review that someone didn't like it because it had mushrooms in it. Duh! We also had crab cakes which were unbelievably delicious. I highly recommend. The cucumber tomato salad with mint was refreshing and also delicious. Pete, the bartender, makes the best drinks. The owner's , Jeff and Jeannine are hard working, caring and a great addition to Cape Canaveral and the restaurant industry. I highly recommend you visit and enjoy the food that they put all of their efforts and expertise into pleasing the pallet. One of my top restaurants in Brevard County! The food and drinks are always perfect!!

Sage Bistro, 6614 N. Atlantic Ave. Ste. C, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 1.5 Stars Cruising up A1A has to be one of my favorite things to do, so when my random name generator spat forth Sage Bistro in Cape Canaveral, I knew I was at least in for a relaxing drive. According to their website, Sage Bistro is a family-owned restaurant behind Executive Chef Jordan Malmstrom, who earned his culinary arts degree at Keiser University's Capital Culinary Institute (which his mom started and then went on to become Dean of the Graduate School). Not quite the Culinary Institute of America, but it is a far cry from any program at a Community College (one would think). That said, Pat is the friendliest hostess on the planet and Tyler is the most earnest waiter I have encountered. This kid is good, actually one of the best I've seen. However, I can't put Tyler in the Top 5 due to his candor or lack thereof. I put in an order for a House Salad with Blue Cheese, Wiener Schnitzel and the Featured Steak which was a 14 oz. Rib eye with Gorgonzola crumbles. The House Salad is outstanding. Fresh greens, freshly sliced veggies and what I can only surmise is homemade blue cheese dressing as it was so extraordinarily chunky and good. Unfortunately, after the salad, the wheels came off this wreck of a slop house and slammed into the proverbial Oak tree. First up on the Big Boy's ever-critical palate was the Wiener Schnitzel. Now, according to the website, Joachim spent a lot of time in Germany as a youth. This would make one believe he would know good German food from bad. That would appear not to be the case as the Wiener Schnitzel was so poorly prepared and of such low quality I'm sitting here even now trying to figure out why it was on the menu. Calling the Spaetzle terrible is a compliment and the red cabbage tasted like it was prepared in a shoe of the un-housed. Moving on to the final item (thankfully) I hesitantly tried a bite of the 14 oz. Rib Eye with Gorgonzola crumbles. First of all, I have to say that I love cheese and Gorgonzola is right there at the top of the list. The Rib Eye underneath it, however, has been in the walk-in cooler "aging" a bit too long. Upon attempting to chew it, I could tell that it was not Angus quality and might not even have been USDA Choice grade it was so tough. It's a good thing I don't suffer from chrematophobia and have an aversion to the color gray, as when I scraped off the cheese to view the underlying steak...it was just that! How do you even cook a gray steak sans sear? The accompanying potatoes had the consistency of Elmer's Glue and the menu said nothing about yellow asparagus. These clowns actually called me to say I forgot my leftovers...um, no I didn't. I don't have a pet Trash Panda (Raccoon) as serving this garbage to a dog would be animal cruelty. The Big Boy says, "If I was intentionally served this horrid $106.00 meal to get me back, you succeeded. If not? Then one can only surmise you (the chef) are an incompetent boob and shouldn't be anywhere near a kitchen.

Most definitely delicious! Because it's vacation, I ordered the quackitini - fun, sweet, and plentiful. Crab cake appetizer was one of the best the hubs and me have ever eaten. Coconut shrimp are highly recommended. Lobster pot pie is HUGE - could easily be shared but we didn't. Many other reviewers said the brownie for dessert was a must, but we were just too full to even try.

10 star establishment. Became a favorite on my very first visit. The friendly, personable, attentive service is exceptional. The food (regardless of selection) is absolutely stellar and perfectly prepared. It's abundantly evident that only the highest quality ingredients are used. Attention to the smallest details and commitment to excellence is on full display. It's a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that will keep you coming back for more.

This is my favorite restaurant in Sarasota!! The bar serves amazing drinks. The menu is limited but not an item on it I wouldn't devour!! The history of the building just makes it so cool

The Sage Bistro is an upscale restaurant with fine cuisine at very reasonable prices. There's a nice little bar there, too. Also the proprietors are very friendly and the wait staff is very friendly. It's a lot like dining in your own home, with the added benefit that you don't have to wash the dishes. It's great for a long leisurely conversations while you dine.

So happy when you find that great spot serving awesome food and great friendly service. I had the best crab cake of my llife!! Perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked!! The owners are super friendly and will accommodate your requests. My husband got a burger even though it wasn't on the menu.....and it was awesome!!! If you are in the area drop by and indulge , promise you won't be disappointed...

A Great place. Delicious food. Owners were very welcoming and attentive. We simply stopped by to get a quick lunch. Instead we got two great meals with over the top service. My wife and I are very happy to discover this place. We WILL make another visit soon. Advice: Try this place. You WILL like it!

The staff is very friendly,relaxed atmosphere,,eclectic, fun decor,food was outstanding,I ate there several times during a visit.I had the lobster roll,shrimp cocktail was made with a seasoning in the boil,amazing...crab cocktail jumbo lumps I got browned butter to dip,Caesar salad is the original caesar,out of this worls,Romaine salad was freshest,sweet,crisp. The Grilled salmon serving was more than ample & done to perfection,Chicken Alfredo Pasta,divine,Best Crab Cakes,ever,as app or meal.Chicjen parm is a huge portion,sauce was great,chicken not too thin,fork tender,all food made to order, so my food allergies were no problems Owners always there, fun bar seating & customers are regulars/ visitor mix...all friendly.Scampi Scallops were like tender pillows...boreatfeature in rest room...individual mini cups / mouthwash dispenser.I bought some of their beautiful, $5 jewelry,variety of salt & pepper shakets,even The Space Center Rocket & silo set. Cocktails were right on & lots of novelty drinks. Prices were reasonable for the excellent quality of the food.MUST EAT THERE Luch & dinner.Suggest reservations they get busy but accept walk in.Outside seating,too & pet friendly.Took our pooch. Great food and great service are staples at Sage! My absolute favorite here is the escargot. They will also bring some delicious ciabatta bread to soak up all the yummy broth. I also had the scallops in curry sauce tapas and mushroom Chardonnay soup. My spouse had a shrimp with potatoes in a pesto sauce. He said it was a great sauce but the potatoes were a bit hard. I almost don't want to review Sage because it's getting harder to spontaneously drop into due to popularity. Reservations are a good idea!

Incredible food and service! It's hard to find a spot in this area with a menu that stands out. In an area that has mostly run of the mill offerings, this spot has fresh and healthy options along with comfort food. Something for everyone, even those with dietary restrictions. Can't wait for my next meal there!

I came on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was packed (Always a good sign). This is a really special occasion place. I had the chorizo-encrusted mahi mahi with asparagus and mashed potatoes. It comes with the most fabulous bread with house salad and a sweet onion dressing that the owners left me a container of on my way out! The inside of the restaurant is really nice and upscale. The dessert was the best brownie a la mode I had ever had. Great service. I will definitely be back when I am in town visiting my parents.

My favorite resturaunt in Cocoa Beach area. The food is consistently exceptional. Best crabcakes/martinis/chicken parm /bread pudding/streaks and anything on the menu one could eat. It is my go to resturaunt. Thank you for being in my neighborhood.

Maybe we had an off night but came in and had dinner. Our server was very friendly and we were looking forward to a great meal. They mention the pasta is made in house but honestly it tasted like boxed pasta. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but not for $30. Two of our folks ordered mashed potatoes and when they received their meal, there was a ball of rice on the plate. When they mentioned it, they said they ran out of mashed potatoes so rice was the substitute. Again, it would have been nice to know that prior to receiving our meal. The quality of the dishes is not worth $30 imo but again, maybe an off night.

Received several recommendations and so glad we went. Amazing Alfredo with pancetta, mushrooms and asparagus. Mahi mahi was fresh and accommodating to dairy free. Steak was best I've seen in CB. Owners were so kind to our little, providing toys and crayons. Great wine selection. Fantastic service. Amanda was sublime. Very welcoming and a great dining experience. We will be back!

A local restaurant with lots of ambiance and great food..! It's the kind of restaurant that you go to when your tired of middle of the road eatery's. Its a special kind of restaurant where you feel like you can dress up and have a special evening. Service is excellent and the food absolutely fantastic..!

RIP Sage. We ordered to go tonight after seeing all the changes to the menu. There was no salad dressing (Visalia dressing wasn't an option). The spring rolls were awful; no flavor and over fried. The lobster roll was good but not for the price. This was always a favorite. I hope they find their footing Soon

Service from Eric was wonderful. He did a good job explaining all the dishes and promoting their ingredients. He was professional and personable. When we arrived, they didn't have our reservation. We had called directly last week and spoken to Sarah. She said it was right before her vacation. She had someone else who told her the same thing, she said. Hmmm. Luckily she found us some seats. They tout the restaurant as having a "scratch" kitchen. As they explained: when they run out of something, it's gone. By the time we ordered, they were out of swordfish and their scallop appetizer special. We started with Caesar side salads. I'd switched from the regular house salad as I don't care for mixed greens. I didn't realize there'd be an up charge, but that was fine. They have a sign on the wall by the hostess desk saying that the Caesar dressing contains raw eggs. The dressing mainly tasted like a lot of garlic. The romaine lettuce was crisp and came with "homemade croutons" and grated cheese. It would have been better with some anchovies. I had their stuffed shrimp special. The dish came with spinach orzo which was substituted with rice pilaf. And a side of plain asparagus. The 4 shrimp were supposed to be stuffed with lump crab meat but it was just a lot of breading. I didn't taste any crab and definitely no "lumps" of crab. My husband ordered their pork sliders. He has had their schweinhocken (pork shank) here before, but wasn't that hungry tonight. He figured he'd have the "mini" version. There were three mini brioche buns to the order. Each had pork belly on it -- flavorful but fatty -- topped with a pickled carrot slaw and a touch of aioli. I'm glad we came. Now we know.

My wife and I have enjoyed Sage Bistro every time we visit. The food is always fresh and done to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant and my rating is 4.9 stars only because nobody is perfect and there is always room for improvement on something. Hard to find anything to improve.

I had dinner here with my husband and a couple of my coworkers and their families who had all traveled out to the Cape to see a launch that morning, and it was a really lovely experience all around. There was a little back and forth adjustment in the reservation (one family wanted to go see the second launch that afternoon), and the hostess was understanding, accommodating, and very helpful. Food-wise, I am myself a vegetarian with an egg allergy, and they were fantastic about accommodating me--I got the mushroom risotto sans Angus, and it was delicious! A coworker's husband got it with the Angus and was likewise impressed. My husband got the Coconut Shrimp and was really happy with his meal, and another coworker who got the Sage Alfredo commented that it might be the best alfredo she'd had! The restaurant itself is also a lovely setting, and it was fairly easy to find parking, as we were dining after the food co-op next door had closed for the day. Definitely recommended for a nice dinner on the Space Coast, and if we go out for another launch, I could definitely see myself coming back again :)

By chance we ended up at this restaurant twice in one week. The first time was not a great experience because we didn't like what we ordered -- just not our cup of tea. The sauce on the chicken Parmesan was too sweet for my husband and the sauce on the Alfredo was too garlicky for my taste. I'm sure lots of people would have loved all that garlic, but not me. The owner of the restaurant saw that I barely touched my food and had the dish taken off the bill -- which was really nice of him to do. I didn't complain about it and I didn't ask him to do anything about it. He did it just out of courtesy to me. We ended up going there again tonight. My husband had the steak and it was fabulous! I ordered the coconut shrimp and it was great! Loved the southwest chicken enchilada soup both times -- really excellent! 2 people at our table had the salmon and that was great. Another had the lamb stew and he enjoyed that as well! While our first time didn't go as well as we expected, our second time was great! Glad we had the chance to try it again. I'm also glad that I waited to write a review so that I could say good things about this place. It is a nice restaurant with a great staff. Ambiance is very nice. Give it a try.

OK I know my last review of this place was really good, but every time I go here, it seems to get better and better. So I had to write another rave review! My wife and I dined here last week and were blown away again by everything. The food, the service, the ambience. Everything was perfect. My wife had the Lamb pot roast, and it was amazing. So tender and flavorful. My Halibut special was probably the best piece of fish I had all week, anywhere in Cocoa beach. Lastly, I have to rave about the Mushroom Chardonnay soup. OMG. Get it.

So glad we found this restaurant. Our family of 6 ate here on our vacation and the food and service was excellent! This is a nice restaurant with a relaxing ambiance. You can enjoy with adults only or in our case with young kids and not feel out of place. They had great food options and the staff were super friendly and had a little toy and ice cream for the kids!!

The service was very slow. my wifes drink was horrible. the soup we got and the fettuccine Alfredo was not good, after we complained the waitress had a attitude. save your money/time and go to another restaurant...the pastas and soups at olive garden are better than this place

Everything was beyond expectations. The food was fabulous and the staff treated not only us like a long lost friend, but all those they interacted with. Upscale without being too fancy. Highly recommend.

The Sage Bistro has interesting and wonderful menu of locally source food. This combined with the Chef's creative "scratch" recipes, create for a delicious meal. The drinks were delicious as well and of course dessert was too. Matt was a class act service provider and we really enjoyed his positive & outgoing personality. You cannot go wrong with dinning at the Sage Bistro.
