Good for one night stay. It was possible to leave my bag before and after check out. In the room lockers are key operated, with deposit at the reception. I'd prefer lockers with a padlock. Because there was space, I was upgraded from a mix dorm to a female only dorm. Nice gesture. The kitchen is open 24h, I only used it to store food in the fridge.

There were no redeeming factors for this establishment. The staff at 3 City Hostel are worse than unhelpful, they straight up sabotage guests who seek support. I encourage you to read other reviews (and the responses) where the manager attempts to justify terrible service, lack of amenities, and frequent thefts by bringing up the excellent location. After the second night of my 7-night stay the receptionist, who resembles discount David Harbour, informed me I would need to move to a smaller room due to a drunk guest throwing up, so the larger dorm would need cleaning. It took some time to shift all my things from the locker into the smaller room's locker, but it was technically an upgrade so I accepted. Also the floor was clean in this new room, which was a plus. The next day I met the manager who explained the cleaning was due to bed-bugs! Furthermore he said I would be moving back into the original room that day as they had reservations for the smaller room. Note that I was not the only one upgraded, there was also a perpetually drunk old man and a 17-yo minor being pushed around. I'd have thought when a guest is upgraded that room is theirs for the remainder of the stay. Why would you double-book the room? Why would you send guests back into a room after mentioning bed-bugs were in there? Discount David Harbour relented and said I could stay in the upgraded room. Later that day I found my possessions in the lobby downstairs, the manager rudely told me I was back in the original room, and I had to carry everything back upstairs. I am a digital nomad carrying everything I own, it's heavy! Thanks for multiplying my inconvenience. The following day I checked out, leaving a complaint with Booking. com. Had to book an emergency stay for the remaining three nights elsewhere. Further issues at the hostel: no power sockets close to beds, just one or two in each room. No privacy curtains despite appearing in photos. Floor is perpetually dirty and staff are not interested in cleaning. TVs in lounge have no remotes. Kitchen has a kettle and NOTHING else. Wifi is unreliable at best. Shower room has a motion sensor light which doesn't detect movement inside the shower. No toilet paper on my last day there. Manager is a compulsive liar and accepts no accountability for any complaints. Read his responses to reviews on Booking, they would be hilarious if it wasn't people's vacations he's ruining. An excellent location is subjective. If you want to stay in the costly tourist area there are plenty of other far better options available to you, or better yet go for something slightly further out. You might need to take a tram 5 mins into town but it will be cheaper, more peaceful and comfortable. I've stayed in 100+ different accommodations around the world as a digital nomad over 8 years. This was the worst of them all.

I have not found anything uglier than this service from a man who is so bad that I have not found anything uglier than him in my stay in Poland... This hostel's nonsense has a bad smell. There is a person there who does not know how to deal with guests. Worse service than this tattooed man.

I have just stayed four nights here and found this hostel very comfortable. It is in a perfect location for the old town and transport. It has a spacious kitchen and dining area, with everything you need for cooking. There is also a large lounge to relax in. The dorm was the best, however. In the dorm for four, rather than bunks, there are four single beds in a good-sized room, equipped with lockers and a couple of tables. The reception staff here are very friendly and helpful.

Was a drunk person arguing at the door who appeared to be staying there. Didn’t affect us but could imagine it being intimidating for some. Rooms were clean but was only one toilet between 20+ beds, there were more further down the corridor but only 3 and these were shared with other dorms. Same with the showers. Was clean in all places I saw. Did allow us as a stag so can imagine it/we would have been loud for others. Great location not far from the centre.

Check in at a pretty late time but the receptionist was still working, very nice.
