3 Ivy Cross

We had a great stay at 3 Ivy Cross. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade yogurt. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location was good, just a few minutes walk from the town centre and the famous Gold Hill. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Shaftesbury

A very comfortable stay indeed, I felt spoilt!! The surroundings from my beautiful bedroom to the lovely garden with full size trees & even unspoilt nature area right at the bottom with very nice views. What a breakfast, with homemade yogurt and jams, not to mention the full English all served in a dining room bathed in light, it was also nice to see your breakfast cooked infront of you. We received a very warm welcome from our host, Mike, and we felt at home immediately! Nothing was too much trouble for him; the bedroom was spacious and the bed most comfortable; the en-suite was excellent; in fact, we had everything we needed to make an enjoyable overnight stay. Mike gave us good advice as to where to eat out in Shaftesbury and was always willing to help us, including with the luggage. We had a delicious breakfast, too. This B&B is excellent in every way and we thoroughly recommend it.

Stayed here for 2 nights for my daughters wedding. Rooms are spotless and very tastefully decorated as is the rest of the property. Breakfast was cooked to order and there is a very extensive choice. Hosts were friendly and very attentive.If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would. You will not be disappointed with a stay at this small friendly hotel. Walking distance to Shaftsbury.

Extremely welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home. We were in Room 1, which was wonderful, with a comfortable king-sized bed. It was also very quiet, meaning that we had a wonderful night's sleep. The freshly-cooked breakfast was great, as was the coffee. It is a very pleasant, short, walk into Shaftesbury. Some advice: 1) The property is next to a roundabout, but clearly marked with off-road ample parking. If you miss it, just go back to the roundabout and look again. 2) Visit Gold Hill, home of the famous Hovis advert. 3) Find a restaurant before travelling, and pre-book it to avoid disappointment. 4) Do try San Tonino Italian Restaurant, housed inside a former church. It is wonderful.

There is no other rating possible for this wonderful B&B. The hosts made us feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much hassle for them. As we were celebrating my partners and her win sisters birthdays we asked if we could us the lounge for a pre-dinner drink. The hosts were very accommodating, laying out glasses for us, lighting the open fire (July in England!), and making if feel cos and a real special occasion. The next morning the breakfast was first class. A selection of juices and cereals, home made yogurt and a full English, the best start to the day. Thank you for making our stay extremely enjoyable.

Stayed here for 1 night as we were going to a wedding in the area. We had a warm welcome, and the room was perfect - super comfy double bed, fresh milk in the fridge for tea, and was immaculately cleaned. The breakfast was also superb, great selection of cereals, juice, yoghurt, etc. - and cooked breakfasts made to order. Michael and Sally gave us some great advice when we went to explore the town in the morning too. If we're in the area again we will definitely be staying here!

Excellent B/B - great location, easy walking distance to Town centre, good size car park for guests. Great garden, very nice rooms and superb breakfast and excellent and welcoming hosts. We have now stayed here two years running.
