30 Rockefeller Plaza

At the center of Rockefeller Plaza is this fantastic building, complete with everything you need to enjoy a day in New York whether you’re a tourist, a local, or just passing through for a few hours. Restaurants, shopping, live studio audience tapings of world famous shows like the Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live. Watch the Today Show live from the plaza, skate on the beautiful ice rink from October through late winter. And of course, enjoy the beauty of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree always lit in November and twinkling through early January. Top of the Rock is another great stop, unprecedented 360 views of my favorite city in the world. Convenient subway station on the lower level too.

A piece of American history with so many things to see and experience. Top of the Rock is the observation deck that gives you an expansive 360 view of Central Park, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, WTC and Statue of Liberty. I especially enjoyed the towers to the north dwarfing the humble trump tower in their shadows. NBC studios are here, the iconic skating rink and tree are here during the holidays. Will definitely recommend and return on our next visit.

Rockefeller Plaza is an iconic place to come to visit while in New York. We visited late in the evening on our way to Top of the Rock, so few of the places were closing up, but the plaza is really nice to visit, its always lit up at night and just a great place to visit for Couples or Families. The area is very safe at any time of day.

We stumbled across 30 Rock on our way to another venue. It is as amazing as it looks on TV. I was looking for Liz Lemon and Jack, but could not find them. Super cool to see people ice skating at the end of March and all the surrounding excitement. A selection of vendors and food trucks were at the ready. I really would have like to gone to Top of the Rock, but it was not in our schedule. We will make our way back here.

So festival around here during Christmas! Beautiful and glamorous Christmas tree always be the must see attractions in NY City.

Best view in the city, especially if your game enought to sit on one of the steel beams that projects you into the Skye for a completely unique picture experience 😜 Strongly recommended for tourists as a great viewing or picture destination. 📸

Even with timed tickets we waited 60 minutes to get to the top. And then there is a long line to get down. Great views. Budget 2 plus hours for your time up top. Probably more on weekends.
